Pyrimidine‐based diboron complexes bearing β‐iminoenolate ligands and phenyl groups as bulky substituents on the boron atoms were synthesized as novel fluorescent dyes, and their fluorescence properties were investigated in solution and in the solid state. The diboron complexes with donor–π–acceptor structures showed positive solvatochromism in the fluorescence spectra. The cyano derivative exhibited the most dramatic redshift of the fluorescence maximum Fmax with increasing solvent polarity (from 551 nm in n‐hexane to 710 nm in acetonitrile). The diboron complexes showed solid‐state fluorescence in the range of 578–706 nm with fluorescence quantum yields of 0.06–0.28. Additionally, the trifluoromethyl derivative exhibited solvent‐inclusion solid‐state fluorescence. The trifluoromethyl derivative formed toluene‐inclusion and ethyl acetate‐inclusion crystals. The toluene‐inclusion crystal (Fmax=668 nm, Φf=0.16) showed a blueshifted Fmax and higher Φf value compared to the original trifluoromethyl derivative (Fmax=694 nm, Φf=0.08) in the solid state. On the other hand, the Fmax (709 nm) and Φf (0.04) values of the ethyl acetate‐inclusion crystal were redshifted and lower, respectively.  相似文献

We report the synthesis and characterization of a three‐dimensional tetraphenylethene‐based octacationic cage that shows host–guest recognition of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (e.g. coronene) in organic media and water‐soluble dyes (e.g. sulforhodamine 101) in aqueous media through CH???π, π–π, and/or electrostatic interactions. The cage?coronene exhibits a cuboid internal cavity with a size of approximately 17.2×11.0×6.96 Å3 and a “hamburger”‐type host–guest complex, which is hierarchically stacked into 1D nanotubes and a 3D supramolecular framework. The free cage possesses a similar cavity in the crystalline state. Furthermore, a host–guest complex formed between the octacationic cage and sulforhodamine 101 had a higher absolute quantum yield (ΦF=28.5 %), larger excitation–emission gap (Δλex‐em=211 nm), and longer emission lifetime (τ=7.0 ns) as compared to the guest (ΦF=10.5 %; Δλex‐em=11 nm; τ=4.9 ns), and purer emission (ΔλFWHM=38 nm) as compared to the host (ΔλFWHM=111 nm).  相似文献

Presented here is a new interrupted AST‐type zeolitic imidazolate framework, Zn5(OH)(dmbim)9(H2O)? 4(DMF) ( 1 ) with cub and interrupted ast cages, which exhibits permanent porosity, high hydrophobicity and strong solid‐state photoluminescent properties. More importantly, structural ordered DMF molecules are firmly confined in the ‐ast cage by strong host‐guest interactions.  相似文献

A solid‐state fluorescent host system was created by self‐assembly of a 21‐helical columnar organic fluorophore composed of (1R,2S)‐2‐amino‐1,2‐diphenylethanol and fluorescent 1‐pyrenecarboxylic acid. This host system has a characteristic 21‐helical columnar hydrogen‐ and ionic‐bonded network. Channel‐like cavities are formed by self‐assembly of this column, and various guest molecules can be included by tuning the packing of this column. Moreover, the solid‐state fluorescence of this host system can change according to the included guest molecules. This occurs because of the change in the relative arrangement of the pyrene rings as they adjust to the tuning of the packing of the shared 21‐helical column, according to the size of the included guest molecules. Therefore, this host system can recognize slight differences in molecular size and shape.  相似文献

In the solid state, 4‐methoxy‐N′‐(2,2,2‐trichloroethanimidoyl)benzene‐1‐carboximidamide, C10H10Cl3N3O, (I), N′‐(2,2,2‐trichloroethanimidoyl)benzene‐1‐carboximidamide, C9H8Cl3N3, (II), 4‐chloro‐N′‐(2,2,2‐trichloroethanimidoyl)benzene‐1‐carboximidamide, C9H7Cl4N3, (III), 4‐bromo‐N′‐(2,2,2‐trichloroethanimidoyl)benzene‐1‐carboximidamide, C9H7BrCl3N3, (IV), and 4‐trifluoromethyl‐N′‐(2,2,2‐trichloroethanimidoyl)benzene‐1‐carboximidamide, C10H7Cl3F3N3, (V), display strong intramolecular N—H...N hydrogen bonding across the chelate ring and also intramolecular N—H...Cl contacts. Additional intermolecular hydrogen bonds link the molecules into chains, double chains or sheets in all cases except for compound (V). For compound (II), there are three independent molecules per asymmetric unit.  相似文献

The title compound, {[Cd(C6H4NO2)2(H2O)]·0.5C12H10N4}n, presents an intricate three‐dimensional network with cavities traversing it in three orthogonal directions, where the (disordered) guest molecules lodge. The compound is a member of a series of coordination polymers presenting the same main host framework but with guests of variable size and geometry, to which the flexible skeleton seems to adapt. The disorder in the structure is explained in terms of an apparently well defined specificity in the position/orientation of the guest molecules, as determined by the main framework.  相似文献

Novel functional polymers utilizing specific host/guest interactions were designed by introducing α‐CD host molecules into poly(ε‐lysine) chains as side groups. An interesting phase separation was observed as a result of the inclusion complexation between the polymeric host and 3‐(trimethylsilyl)propionic acid as a model guest in aqueous media. This water‐soluble polymeric host would be useful for various applications, particularly drug delivery, due to its biodegradability, low toxicity, and unique functionality represented as a complexation‐induced phase separation.  相似文献

A systematic study is conducted on four microporous metal–organic framework compounds built on similar ligands but different structures, namely [Zn3(bpdc)3(bpy)] ? 4 DMF ? H2O ( 1 ), [Zn3(bpdc)3(2,2′dmbpy)] ? 4 DMF ? H2O ( 2 ), [Zn2(bpdc)2(bpe)] ? 2 DMF ( 3 ), and [Zn(bpdc)(bpe)] ? DMF ( 4 ) (bpdc=4,4′‐biphenyldicarboxylate; bpy=4,4′‐bipyridine; 2,2′dmbpy=2,2′‐dimethyl‐4,4′bipyridine; bpe=1,2‐bis(4‐pyridyl)ethane; DMF=N,N′‐dimethylformamide) to investigate their photoluminescence properties and sensing/detection behavior upon exposure to vapors of various aromatic molecules (analytes) including nitroaromatic explosives. The results show that all four compounds are capable of detecting these molecules in the vapor phase through fluorescence quenching or enhancement. Both electrochemical measurements and theoretical calculations are performed to analyze the analyte–MOF interactions, to explain the difference in signal response by different analytes, and to understand the mechanism of fluorescence quenching or enhancement observed in these systems. Interestingly, compound 3 also shows an emission frequency shift when exposed to benzene (BZ), chlorobenzene (ClBZ), and toluene (TO), which provides an additional variable for the identification of different analytes in the same category.  相似文献

A series of N‐substituted 1,4‐dihydro‐4‐oxo‐1,8‐naphthyridine‐3‐carboxylate esters has been prepared in two steps from ethyl 2‐(2‐chloronicotinoyl)acetate. Treatment of the β‐ketoester with N,N‐dimethylformamide dimethyl acetal in N,N‐dimethylformamide (DMF) gave a 95% yield of the 2‐dimethylaminomethylene derivative. Subsequent reaction of this β‐enaminone with primary amines in DMF at 120oC for 24 h then afforded the target compounds in 47–82% yields by a tandem SNAr‐addition‐elimination reaction. Synthetic and procedural details as well as a mechanistic rationale are presented.  相似文献

A novel 4,4′‐sulfonyldianiline‐bridged bis(β‐cyclodextrin (CD)) 2 was synthesized, and its complex stability constants (Ks) for the 1 : 1 inclusion complexation with bile salts, i.e., cholate (CA), deoxycholate (DCA), glycocholate (GCA), and taurocholate (TCA) have been determined in phosphate buffer (pH 7.2) at 25° by fluorescence spectroscopy. The result indicated that 2 can act as efficient fluorescent sensor and display remarkable fluorescence enhancement upon addition of optically inert bile salts. Structures of the inclusion complexes between bile salts and 2 were elucidated by 2D‐NMR experiments, indicating that the anionic tail group and the D ring of bile salts penetrate into one CD cavity of 2 from the wide opening deeply, while the phenyl moiety of the CD linker is partially self‐included in the other CD cavity to form a host–linker–guest binding mode. As compared with native β‐CD 1 upon complexation with bile salts, bis(β‐CD) 2 enhances the binding ability and molecular selectivity. Typically, 2 gives the highest Ks value of 26200 M ?1 for the complexation with CA, which may be ascribed to the simultaneous contributions of hydrophobic, H‐bond, and electrostatic interactions. These phenomena are discussed from the viewpoints of multiple recognition and induce‐fit interactions between host and guest.  相似文献

The crystal structures of three 1:2 inclusion compounds that consist of host molecule 2,5‐diphenylhydroquinone (C18H14O2) and the guest molecules 2‐pyridone (C5H5NO), 1,3‐diphenyl‐2‐propen‐1‐one (chalcone, C15H12O) and 1‐(4‐methoxyphenyl)‐3‐phenyl‐2‐propen‐1‐one (4′‐methoxychalcone, C16H14O2) were determined in order to study the ability of guest molecules in inclusion compounds to undergo photoreaction. All of the crystals were found to be photoresistant. The three inclusion compounds crystallize in triclinic space group . In each case, the host/guest ratio is 1:2, with the host molecules occupying crystallographic centers of symmetry and the guest molecules occupying general positions. The guest molecules in each of the inclusion compounds are linked to the host molecules by hydrogen bonds. In the inclusion compound where the guest molecule is pyridone, the host molecule is disordered so that the hydroxy groups are distributed between two different sites, with occupancies of 0.738 (3) and 0.262 (3). The pyridone molecules form dimers via N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds.  相似文献

N‐(2‐Bromoethyl)‐4‐piperidino‐1,8‐naphthalimide, C19H19BrN2O2, (I), and N‐(3‐bromopropyl)‐4‐piperidino‐1,8‐naphthalimide, C20H21BrN2O2, (II), are an homologous pair of 1,8‐naphthalimide derivatives. The naphthalimide units are planar and each piperidine substituent adopts a chair conformation. This study emphasizes the importance of π‐stacking interactions, often augmented by other contacts, in determining the crystal structures of 1,8‐naphthalimide derivatives.  相似文献

A highly fluorescent (ΦF=0.60) and water‐soluble two‐dimensional (2D) honeycomb‐shaped supramolecular organic framework (SOF) was successfully synthesized in pure aqueous solution via self‐assembly of novel cyanostilbene‐functionalized trilateral guest molecules and cucurbit[8]uril hosts. The size of this fluorescent 2D SOF was >500 nm in diameter, 1.7 nm in thickness, and 3.9 nm in the honeycomb pore diameter. This 2D SOF holds potential as a new all‐organic photosensitizer template for photocatalytic H2 evolution from pure water.  相似文献

The adsorption behaviour of the CdII–MOF {[Cd(L)2(ClO4)2]·H2O ( 1 ), where L is 4‐amino‐3,5‐bis[3‐(pyridin‐4‐yl)phenyl]‐1,2,4‐triazole, for butan‐2‐one was investigated in a single‐crystal‐to‐single‐crystal (SCSC) fashion. A new host–guest system that encapsulated butan‐2‐one molecules, namely poly[[bis{μ3‐4‐amino‐3,5‐bis[3‐(pyridin‐4‐yl)phenyl]‐1,2,4‐triazole}cadmium(II)] bis(perchlorate) butanone sesquisolvate], {[Cd(C24H18N6)2](ClO4)2·1.5C4H8O}n, denoted C4H8O@Cd‐MOF ( 2 ), was obtained via an SCSC transformation. MOF 2 crystallizes in the tetragonal space group P43212. The specific binding sites for butan‐2‐one in the host were determined by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction studies. N—H…O and C—H…O hydrogen‐bonding interactions and C—H…π interactions between the framework, ClO4? anions and guest molecules co‐operatively bind 1.5 butan‐2‐one molecules within the channels. The adsorption behaviour was further evidenced by 1H NMR, IR, TGA and powder X‐ray diffraction experiments, which are consistent with the single‐crystal X‐ray analysis. A 1H NMR experiment demonstrates that the supramolecular interactions between the framework, ClO4? anions and guest molecules in MOF 2 lead to a high butan‐2‐one uptake in the channel.  相似文献

Free‐energy differences govern the equilibrium between bound and unbound states of a host and its guest molecules. The understanding of the underlying entropic and enthalpic contributions, and their complex interplay are crucial for the design of new drugs and inhibitors. In this study, molecular dynamics (MD) simulations were performed with inclusion complexes of α‐cyclodextrin (αCD) and three monosubstituted benzene derivatives to investigate host–guest binding. αCD Complexes are an ideal model system, which is experimentally and computationally well‐known. Thermodynamic integration (TI) simulations were carried out under various conditions for the free ligands in solution and bound to αCD. The two possible orientations of the ligand inside the cavity were investigated. Agreement with experimental data was only found for the more stable orientation, where the substituent resides inside the cavity. The better stability of this conformation results from stronger Van der Waals interactions and a favorable antiparallel host–guest dipole–dipole alignment. To estimate the entropic contributions, simulations were performed at three different temperatures (250, 300, and 350 K) and using positional restraints for the host. The system was found to be insensitive to both factors, due to the large and symmetric cavity of αCD, and the nondirectional nature of the host–guest interactions.  相似文献

The structures of the inclusion compounds 4,4′‐(cyclohexane‐1,1‐diyl)diphenol–3‐chlorophenol (1/1) and 4,4′‐(cyclohexane‐1,1‐diyl)diphenol–4‐chlorophenol (1/1), both C18H20O2·C6H5ClO, are isostructural with respect to the host molecule and are stabilized by extensive host–host, host–guest and guest–host hydrogen bonding. The packing is characterized by layers of host and guest molecules. The kinetics of thermal decomposition follow the R2 contracting‐area model, kt = [1 − (1 − α)½], and yield activation energies of 105 (8) and 96 (8) kJ mol−1, respectively.  相似文献

The tetrahedral, shape‐persistent molecule 1 4+, containing four pyridylpyridinium units connected through a central carbon atom, exhibits unexpected photophysical properties including a substantially redshifted absorption (2350 cm?1) and a very strong fluorescence (Φem=40 %), compared with the monomer 2 + (Φem=0.4 %). Density functional theory calculations on the structure and spectroscopic properties of 1 4+ and 2 + show that exciton interactions, homoconjugation, and orbital nature account for the observed differences in their photophysical properties. The protonated tetramer binds four cucurbit[7]uril molecules and the host/guest interactions can be controlled by chemical (acid/base) as well as redox stimuli.  相似文献

New C60 and C70 fullerene dyads formed with 4‐amino‐1,8‐naphthalimide chromophores have been prepared by the Bingel cyclopropanation reaction. The resulting monoadducts were investigated with respect to their fluorescence properties (quantum yields and lifetimes) to unravel the role of the charge‐transfer naphthalimide chromophore as a light‐absorbing antenna and excited‐singlet‐state sensitizer of fullerenes. The underlying intramolecular singlet–singlet energy transfer (EnT) process was fully characterized and found to proceed quantitatively (ΦEnT≈1) for all dyads. Thus, these conjugates are of considerable interest for applications in which fullerene excited states have to be created and photonic energy loss should be minimized. In polar solvents (tetrahydrofuran and benzonitrile), fluorescence quenching of the fullerene by electron transfer from the ground‐state aminonaphthalimide was postulated as an additional path.  相似文献

The porous coordination polymer ({[Mn(L)H2O](H2O)1.5(dmf)}n, 1 ) (DMF=N,N‐dimethylformamide) exhibits variety of substitution reactions along with movement of lattice DMF molecule depending upon bulkiness of the external guest molecules. If pyridine or 4‐picoline is used as a guest, both lattice and coordinated solvent molecules are simultaneously substituted (complexes 6 and 7 , respectively). If a bulky guest like aniline is used, a partial substitution at the metal centers and full substitution at the channels takes place (complex 8 ). If the guest is 2‐picoline (by varying the position of bulky methyl group with respect to donor N atom), one MnII center is substituted by 2‐picoline, whereas the remaining center is substituted by a DMF molecule that migrates from the channel to the metal center (complex 9 ). Here, the lattice solvent molecules are substituted by 2‐picoline molecules. For the case of other bulky guests like benzonitrile or 2,6‐lutidine, both the metal centers are substituted by two DMF molecules, again migrating from the channel, and the lattice solvent molecules are substituted by these guest molecules (complex 10 and 11 , respectively). A preferential substitution of pyridine over benzonitrile (complex 12 ) at the metal centers is observed only when the molar ratio of PhCN:Py is 95:5 or less. For the case of an aliphatic dimethylaminoacetonitrile guest, the metal centers remain unsubstituted (complex 13 ); rather substitutions of the lattice solvents by the guest molecules take place. All these phenomena are observed through single crystal to single crystal (SC–SC) phenomena.  相似文献
