A set of pyridine monoimine (PMI) rhenium(I) tricarbonyl chlorido complexes with substituents of different steric and electronic properties was synthesized and fully characterized. Spectroscopic (NMR and IR) and single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction analyses of these complexes showed that the redox‐active PMI ligands are neutral and that the overall electronic structure is little affected by the choices of the substituent at the ligand backbone. One‐ and two‐electron reduction products were prepared from selected starting compounds and could also be characterized by multiple spectroscopic methods and X‐ray diffraction. The final product of a one‐electron reduction in THF is a diamagnetic metal–metal‐bonded dimer after loss of the chlorido ligand. Bond lengths in and NMR chemical shifts of the PMI ligand backbone indicate partial electron transfer to the ligand. Two‐electron reduction in THF also leads to the loss of the chlorido ligand and a pentacoordinate complex is obtained. The comparison with reported bond lengths and 13C NMR chemical shifts of doubly reduced free pyridine monoaldimine ligands indicates that both redox equivalents in the doubly reduced rhenium complex investigated here are located in the PMI ligand. With diamagnetic complexes varying over three formal reduction stages at the PMI ligand we were, for the first time, able to establish correlations of the 13C NMR chemical shifts with the relevant bond lengths in redox‐active ligands over a full redox series.  相似文献

The new ligand bis(4‐pyridylthio)methane (4‐bpytm) ( 1 ) and its complexes [CuX2(4‐bpytm)] and [CuX2(4‐bpytm)2] (X = Cl and Br) ( 2 – 5 ) have been prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, IR‐Raman, UV/Vis spectroscopy. The structures of (4‐bpytm) ( 1 ), [CuCl2(4‐bpytm)2] ( 3 ) and [CuBr2(4‐bpytm)2] ( 4 ) were determined by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction analysis. X‐ray analysis of the 1:2 derivatives reveals that the copper atom has a distorted (4 + 2) octahedral environment. The copper atom is coordinated by four nitrogen atoms from four bridging 4‐bpytm ligands and two halogen atoms. The axial Cu–N bonds are considerably longer than the equatorial Cu–N bonds owing to JahñTeller distortion. CuX2 units are linked to each other through bridging 4‐bpytm ligands to form a 2D interpenetrated coordination polymer. The structural parameters of the 4‐bpytm ligand in these complexes were compared with those of the free ligand.  相似文献

New lead(II)‐saccharin complexes, [Pb(sac)2(pym)] (1) and [Pb(sac)2(pydm)] (2) (sac = saccharinate anion; pym = 2‐pyridylmethanol; pydm = pyridine‐2, 6‐dimethanol) were synthesized and characterized by IR spectroscopy and single crystal X‐ray diffractometry. Complex 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic P21/c space group with Z = 4, while the crystals of complex 2 are extremely X‐ray sensitive and decompose by the X‐ray beam within one day. Pym and pydm act as bi‐ and tridentate ligands, respectively. Most important feature of the complexes is non‐equivalent coordination of the sac ligands to the lead(II) atom. In the complex 1 , the sac ligands coordinate to the lead(II) ion in two distinct manners. One sac ligand behaves as a bridge between the lead(II) atoms through its N and carbonyl O atoms, whereas the other sac ligand acts as a bidentate chelating ligand through its N and carbonyl O atoms which is bicoordinating and also bridges the metal atoms to achieve the seven‐coordination. The structure is built up of three‐dimensional chains formed by the bridging of the PbN3O2 units and also held intermolecular hydrogen bonds. The IR spectra of the complexes were discussed in detail.  相似文献

A novel 1D copper(II) helical chain is constructed through the connection of tetranuclear copper(II) units [Cu4(L)(Py)4] (H8L=N,N′‐(BINOL‐3,3′‐dicarboxyl)‐disalicylhydrazide, where BINOL is 1,1′‐binaphthalenyl‐2,2′‐diol, py=pyridine) by weak coordination‐driven self‐assembly, and characterized by IR, single crystal X‐ray diffraction, thermogravimetric analysis, and X‐ray power diffraction analysis. Interestingly, the helical chains are packed in an alternating left‐(M) and right‐handed (P) chirality, the orientation of the helices was determined by the axial chirality of the ligand. The complex shows antiferromagnetic interactions between the copper centers.  相似文献

The synthesis of two new Schiff base like ligands containing a 1, 8‐diaminonaphthalene unit in order to improve π–π interactions between the molecules is described. The corresponding iron(II), copper(II), and nickel(II) complexes were synthesized and characterized using NMR spectroscopy, magnetic measurements, and for the iron(II) complex X‐ray structure analysis. The crystal structure shows a strongly saddle shaped ligand. In contrast to related complexes with a phenylene unit that prefer an octahedral coordination sphere, this complex crystallizes pentacoordinate. The keto‐group of a neighboring complex serves as axial ligand resulting in the formation of infinite chains. Magnetic susceptibility measurements reveal nearly ideal curie behavior for the copper(II) and the iron(II) complex.  相似文献

Pervanadyl (VO2+) complexes with N‐(aroyl)‐N′‐(picolinylidene)hydrazines (HL = Hpabh, Hpath and Hpadh; H stands for the dissociable amide hydrogen) are described. The Schiff bases were obtained by condensation of 2‐pyridine‐carboxaldehyde with benzhydrazide (Hpabh), 4‐methylbenzhydrazide (Hpath) and 4‐dimethylaminobenzhydrazide (Hpadh), respectively. The reaction of [VO(acac)2] and HL in acetonitrile in air affords the complexes of general formula [VO2L]. The diamagnetic nature and EPR silence confirm the +5 oxidation state of vanadium in these complexes. Infrared spectra of the complexes are consistent with the enolate form of the coordinated ligands. Electronic spectra show charge transfer bands in the range 486–233 nm. The complexes are redox active and display an irreversible reduction (–0.64 to –0.72 V vs. Ag/AgCl). The crystal structures of all the complexes have been determined. In each complex, the metal centre is in a distorted trigonal‐bipyramidal N2O3 coordination sphere formed by the pyridine‐N, the imine‐N and the deprotonated amide‐O donor L and two oxo groups. The planar ligand satisfies one equatorial and two axial positions. The other two equatorial positions are occupied by the two oxo groups. In the solid state, the molecules of each of the three complexes form a chain‐like arrangement via the azomethine‐H…oxo interactions. Interchain weak π‐π interactions lead to two dimensional networks for [VO2(pabh)] and [VO2(path)]. On the other hand, [VO2(padh)] forms a two‐dimensional network through interchain N‐methyl‐H…oxo interactions.  相似文献

Three coordination polymers, namely [Co(BDC)( L )] · H2O ( 1 ), [Co(NPH)( L )] · H2O ( 2 ), and [Ni(NPH)( L )(H2O)3] · H2O ( 3 ) [H2BDC = 1, 3‐benzenedicarboxylic acid, H2NPH = 3‐nitrophthalic acid, L = N,N′‐bis(3‐pyridyl)‐terephthalamide] were hydrothermally synthesized by self‐assembly of cobalt/nickel chloride with a semi‐rigid bis‐pyridyl‐bis‐amide ligand and two aromatic dicarboxylic acids. Single crystal X‐ray diffraction analyses revealed that complexes 1 and 2 are two‐dimensional (2D) coordination polymers containing a one‐dimensional (1D) ribbon‐like Co‐dicarboxylate chain and a 1D zigzag Co‐ L chain. Although the coordination numbers of CoII ions and the coordination modes of two dicarboxylates are different in complexes 1 and 2 , they have a similar 3, 5‐connected {42.67.8}{42.6} topology. In complex 3 , the adjacent NiII ions are linked by L ligands to form a 1D polymeric chain, whereas the 1D chains does not extend into a higher‐dimensional structure due to the ligand NPH with monodentate coordination mode. The adjacent layers of complexes 1 and 2 and the adjacent chains of 3 are further linked by hydrogen bonding interactions to form 3D supramolecular networks. Moreover, the thermal stabilities, fluorescent properties, and photocatalytic activities of complexes 1 – 3 were studied.  相似文献

The design of PtIV pro‐drugs as anticancer agents is predicated on the assumption that they will not undergo substitution reactions before entering the cancer cell. Attempts to improve the cytotoxic properties of PtIV pro‐drugs included the use of haloacetato axial ligands. Herein, we demonstrate that PtIV complexes with trifluoroacetato (TFA) or dichloroacetato (DCA) ligands can be unstable under biologically relevant conditions and readily undergo hydrolysis, which results in the loss of the axial TFA or DCA ligands. The half‐lives for PtIV complexes with two TFA or DCA ligands at pH 7 and 37 °C range from 6 to 800 min, which is short relative to the duration of cytotoxicity experiments that last 24–96 h. However, complexes with two monochloroacetato (MCA) or acetato axial ligands are stable under biologically relevant conditions. The loss of the axial ligands depends primarily on the electron‐withdrawing strength of the axial ligands, but also upon the nature of the equatorial ligands. We were unable to find obvious correlations between the structures of the PtIV complexes and the rates of decay of the parent compounds. The X‐ray crystal structures of the bis‐DCA and bis‐MCA PtIV derivatives of oxaliplatin did not reveal any significant structural differences that could explain the observed differences in stability.  相似文献

Three novel chiral Schiff Base ligands (H2L) were prepared from the condensation reaction of 3‐formyl acetylacetone with the amino acids L ‐alanine, L ‐phenylalanine, and L ‐threonine. X‐ray single crystal analyses revealed that the Schiff Base compounds exist as enamine tautomers in the solid state. The molecular structure of the compounds is stabilized by an intramolecular hydrogen bridge between the enamine NH function and a carbonyl oxygen atom of the pentandione residue. Treatment of the ligands H2L with copper(II) actetate in the presence of pyridine led to the formation of copper complexes [CuL(py)]. In each of the complexes the copper atoms adopt a distorted square‐pyramidal coordination. Three of the basal coordination sites are occupied by the doubly deprotonated Schiff Bases L2– which act as tridentate chelating O, N, O‐ligands. The remaining coordination sites are occupied by a pyridine ligand at the base and a carboxyl oxygen atom of a neighboring complex at the apical position. The latter coordination is responsible for a catenation of the complexes in the solid state.  相似文献

The long‐chain ligand, 1‐phenyl‐3‐methyl‐4‐heptanoyl‐pyrazol‐5‐one (HL) and its zinc(II) complex ZnL2 were synthesized. The structure and the properties of ZnL2 were characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy, X‐ray diffraction, and thermogravimetric analysis. The zinc ion is five‐coordinated in a square‐pyramidal environment by four oxygen atoms of the HL ligands in the equatorial plane and one water molecule in the axial position. The water molecule is directly bonded to Zn2+ and involved in intermolecular hydrogen bonding network. The complex and its corresponding ligand were screened in vitro against some strains of the human pathogenic bacteria. The metal complex exhibits higher antibacterial activity than its corresponding ligand. The complex exhibits purple effect emission as the result of fluorescence from the intraligand emission excited state.  相似文献

Four new transition metal coordination polymers, [Co(bpndc)(phen)(H2O)]n ( 1 ), [Co3(bpndc)3(2,2′‐bpy)2]n·0.5n(i‐C3H7OH) ( 2 ), and [M(bpndc)(2,2′‐bpy)2]n (M = Zn, 3 ; Cu, 4 ; H2bpndc = benzophenone ‐4,4′‐dicarboxylic acid; phen = 1,10‐phenanthroline; 2,2′‐bpy = 2,2′‐bipyridine) have been synthesized by the hydrothermal reactions and characterized by single crystal X‐ray diffraction, elemental analysis, and IR spectrum. Because of the introduction of different terminal auxiliary ligands, bpndc ligands in complexes 1 and 2 adopt different coordination modes. In complex 1 , bpndc ligands act as tridentate ligand and bridge CoII ions into 1D double‐stranded chains; while complex 2 possesses 2D (4,4) grids, where bpndc ligands adopt tetradente and pentadentate modes. Two such grids interpenetrate to form a novel catenane‐like layer. Complexes 3 and 4 are isostructural. Bpndc ligands adopt tetradentate mode and bridge metal ions forming 1D helical chains.  相似文献

A series of heteroleptic copper(II) complexes [Cu( R QYMP )(Py]] ( 1a ‐ 4d ) supported on NNO‐tridentate Schiff base ( R QYMP ‐H) and bipyridine (Py=bpy, a ; phen, b ; dpq, c ; dppz, d ) co‐ligands have been synthesized and characterized. X‐ray crystal structural studies of complexes 1b , 2c , 3d and 4a displays that these complexes are mononuclear with a distorted square pyramidal geometry around the copper center. Cytotoxicity results indicate that all of these complexes have much higher activity against HeLa, SCC15, BCC and Ca9‐22 cancer cell lines as compared to cisplatin. Further, copper complex bearing suitable bulky group Schiff base ligands with dppz co‐ligand could be considered in designing efficient metalbased anticancer agents.  相似文献

A series of piperidoimidazolinium salts which differ in the chain lengths (butyl, octyl, dodecyl, octadecyl) and their Pd–N‐heterocyclic carbene complexes with pyridine were synthesized and characterized using elemental analysis and spectroscopic methods. The effects of these ligands on catalyst activation and the performance of the complexes were studied in Suzuki–Miyaura reactions of arylboronic acid with aryl chlorides. The complex with the ligand having the longest chain length was found to be most active. The results demonstrated that the length of the alkyl chain of the piperidoimidazolin‐2‐ylidene controlled the dispersion and composition of the nanoparticles and it affected the catalytic activity. The impact of alkyl chain length of piperidoimidazolin‐2‐ylidene on the Suzuki–Miyaura reactions of arylboronic acid with aryl halides was systematically investigated.  相似文献

The cage‐like complex, Ag4L4(NO3)4 ( 1 ) [L = 1, 4‐bis(pyridine‐2‐ylmethoxy)benzene] was synthesized by the reaction of the flexible bidentate ligand and silver nitrate. It was characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy, TG, and single‐crystal X‐ray analysis. Complex 1 is reported as the first cage‐like cluster constructed by four nitrate anions bridging two [2+2] macrocycles. A blue luminescent emission and luminescent enhancement effect are observed in complex 1 .  相似文献

The metal‐organic complexes Co2(terpy)2(btec)·H2O 1 (terpy = 2,2′:6′,2″‐terpyridine, btec = 1,2,4,5‐benzenetetracarboxylate) was synthesized by hydrothermal synthesis method, using 1,2,4,5‐benzenetetracarbonitrile, terpy and CoAc2·4H2O. Single crystal X‐ray diffraction showed that each btec4– ligand links four CoII atoms and each CoII atom links to two btec4– ligands forming a 1D double‐chain structure. Furthermore, the chains pack together through short face–face π–π interactions forming a 3D supramolecular structure. Additionally, the magnetic measurements show antiferromagnetic interactions among metal ions for compound 1 .  相似文献

Reaction of PdCl2(CH3CN)2 with the sodium salt of 5‐mercapto‐1‐methyltetrazole (MetzSNa) in methanol solution affords an interesting dinuclear palladium complex [Pd2(MetzS)4 ] ( 1 ). However, treatment of PdCl2(CH3CN)2 with neutral MetzSH ligand in methanol solution produces a mononuclear palladium complex [Pd(MetzSH)4]Cl2 ( 2 ). Both complexes were characterized by IR, 1HNMR, UV‐Vis spectroscopy as well as X‐ray crystallography. Single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction analyses of two complexes lead to the elucidation of the structures and show that 1 possesses an asymmetric structure: one Pd atom is tetracoordinated by three sulfur atoms and one nitrogen atom to form PdS3N coordination sphere, the other Pd atom is tetracoordinated by three nitrogen atoms and one sulfur atom to form PdSN3 coordination sphere. The molecules of 1 are associated to 1‐D infinite linear chain by weak intermolecular Pd···S contacts in the crystal lattice. In 2 , the Pd atom lies on an inversion center and has a square‐planar coordination involving the S atoms from four MetzSH ligands. The two chloride ions are not involved in coordination, but are engaged in hydrogen bonding.  相似文献

A thiosemicarbazone derivative, 2‐acetylpyridine 4‐phenylthiosemicarbazone, was prepared and complexed to Lewis acids, Sn(CH3)2X2, X = Cl and Br. The products, [SnX(C14H13N4S)(CH3)2], were characterized by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction, and IR, NMR and Mössbauer spectroscopies. They are isomorphous and crystallize in the monoclinic space group P21/n. The structure determination revealed discrete neutral complexes with the SnIV atom in a distorted octahedral coordination geometry, with the halogeno ligand and the thiosemicarbazone derivative in the equatorial plane and the methyl groups in axial positions.  相似文献

Three mononuclear copper(II) complexes of copper nitrate with 2, 6‐bis(pyrazol‐1‐yl)pyridine ( bPzPy ) and 2, 6‐bis(3′,5′‐dimethylpyrazol‐1‐yl)pyridine ( bdmPzPy ), [Cu(bPzPy)(NO3)2] ( 1 ), [Cu(bPzPy)(H2O)(NO3)2] ( 2 ) and [Cu(bdmPzPy)(NO3)2] ( 3 ) were synthesized by the reaction of copper nitrate with the ligand in ethanol solution. The complexes have been characterized through analytical, spectroscopic and EPR measurements. Single crystal X‐ray structure analysis of complexes 1 and 2 revealed a five‐coordinate copper atom in 1 , whereas 2 contains a six‐coordinate (4+2) CuII ion with molecular units acting as supramolecular nodes. These neutral nodes are connected through O–H ··· O(nitrate) hydrogen bonds to give couples of parallel linear strips assembled in 1D‐chains in a zipper‐like motif.  相似文献

This study targets the construction of porphyrin assemblies directed by halogen bonds, by utilizing a series of purposely synthesized Sn(axial ligand)2–(5,10,15,20‐tetraarylporphyrin) [Sn(L)2‐TArP] complexes as building units. The porphyrin moiety and the axial ligands in these compounds contain different combinations of complimentary molecular recognition functions. The former bears p‐iodophenyl, p‐bromophenyl, 4′‐pyridyl, or 3′‐pyridyl substituents at the meso positions of the porphyrin ring. The latter comprises either a carboxylate or hydroxy anchor for attachment to the porphyrin‐inserted tin ion and a pyridyl‐, benzotriazole‐, or halophenyl‐type aromatic residue as the potential binding site. The various complexes were structurally analyzed by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction, accompanied by computational modeling evaluations. Halogen‐bonding interactions between the lateral aryl substituents of one unit of the porphyrin complex and the axial ligands of neighboring moieties was successfully expressed in several of the resulting samples. Their occurrence is affected by structural (for example, specific geometry of the six‐coordinate complexes) and electronic effects (for example, charge densities and electrostatic potentials). The shortest intermolecular I???N halogen‐bonding distance of 2.991 Å was observed between iodophenyl (porphyrin) and benzotriazole (axial ligand) moieties. Manifestation of halogen bonds in these relatively bulky compounds without further activation of the halophenyl donor groups by electron‐withdrawing substituents is particularly remarkable.  相似文献

Based on two well‐established ligand systems, the aminopyridinato (Ap) and the phenoxyimine (FI) ligand systems, new Ap‐FI hybrid ligands were developed. Four different Ap‐FI hybrid ligands were synthesized through a simple condensation reaction and fully characterized. The reaction of hafnium tetrabenzyl with all four Ap‐FI hybrid ligands exclusively led to mono(Ap‐FI) complexes of the type [(Ap‐FI)HfBn2]. The ligands acted as tetradentate dianionic chelates. Upon activation with tris(pentafluorophenyl)borane, the hafnium‐dibenzyl complexes led to highly active catalysts for the polymerization of 1‐hexene. Ultrahigh molecular weights and extremely narrow polydispersities support the living nature of this polymerization process. A possible deactivation product of the hafnium catalysts was characterized by single‐crystal X‐ray analysis and is discussed. The coordination modes of these new ligands were studied with the help of model titanium complexes. The reaction of titanium(IV) isopropoxide with ligand 1 led to a mono(Ap‐FI) complex, which showed the desired facmer coordination mode. Titanium (IV) isopropoxide reacted with ligand 4 to give a complex of the type [(ApH‐FI)2Ti(OiPr)2], which featured the ligand in its monoanionic form. The two titanium complexes were characterized by X‐ray crystal‐structure analysis.  相似文献
