The notion of fuzzy event is introduced in the theory of measurement in quantum mechanics by indicating in which sense measurements can be considered to yield fuzzy sets. The concept of probability measure on fuzzy events is defined, and its general properties are deduced from the operational meaning assigned to it. It is pointed out that such probabilities can be derived from the formalism of quantum mechanics. Any such probability on a given fuzzy set is related to the frequency of occurrence within that set of points in a random sample, where the sample points are themselves fuzzy sets obtained as outcomes of measurements of, in general, incompatible observables on replicas of the system in the same prepared state.  相似文献

The investigation of wavefront sets of n-point distributions in quantum field theory has recently acquired some attention stimulated by results obtained with the help of concepts from microlocal analysis in quantum field theory in curved spacetime. In the present paper, the notion of wavefront set of a distribution is generalized so as to be applicable to states and linear functionals on nets of operator algebras carrying a covariant action of the translation group in arbitrary dimension. In the case where one is given a quantum field theory in the operator algebraic framework, this generalized notion of wavefront set, called “asymptotic correlation spectrum”, is further investigated and several of its properties for physical states are derived. We also investigate the connection between the asymptotic correlation spectrum of a physical state and the wavefront sets of the corresponding Wightman distributions if there is a Wightman field affiliated to the local operator algebras. Finally we present a new result (generalizing known facts) which shows that certain spacetime points must be contained in the singular supports of the 2n-point distributions of a non-trivial Wightman field. In this paper the quantum covariant relativistic dynamics of many bodies is reconsidered. It is emphasized that this is an event dynamics. The events are quantum statistically correlated by the global parameter τ. The derivation of an event Boltzmann equation emphasizes this. It is shown that this Boltzmann equation may be viewed as exact in a dilute event limit ignoring three event correlations. A quantum entropy principle is obtained for the marginal Wigner distribution function. By means of event linking (concatenations) particle properties such as the equation of state may be obtained. We further reconsider the generalized quantum equilibrium ensemble theory and the free event case of the Fermi-Dirac and Bose-Einstein distributions, and some consequences. The ultra-relativistic limit differs from the non-covariant theory and is a test of this point of view.  相似文献

Measurements used in quantum teleportation are examined from the standpoint of the general theory of quantum-mechanical measurements. It is shown that in order to find a teleported state, it is sufficient to know only the resolution of the identity operator (positive operator-valued measure) generated by the respective instrument (the quantum operation determining the change in the state of the system as a result of the measurement) in the state space of the system, rather than the instrument itself. A protocol for quantum teleportation of the state of a system with a nondegenerate continuous spectrum based on a measurement which corresponds to a certain nonorthogonal resolution of the identity operator is proposed. In this paper, a scheme is proposed for performing remote operation on quantum state among multiparty. We use three-particle GHZ state as quantum channels to prepare a state operator, which describes quantum correlation between states and operations. Based on the special characteristic of the state operator, observers can perform unitary operation on a system that is away from observers. Our studies show this process is deterministic. We further consider remote operation among N spatially distributed observers, and the results show the successful realization of remote operation needs collective participation of N parties, that is, there exists strong correlation among multiparty. In addition, we investigate the case in which observers share a three-particle W state as quantum channels to perform remote operation and studies find this process is probabilistic.  相似文献

Orthodox Copenhagen quantum theory renounces the quest to understand the reality in which we are imbedded, and settles for practical rules describing connections between our observations. Many physicist have regarded this renunciation of our effort describe nature herself as premature, and John von Neumann reformulated quantum theory as a theory of an evolving objective universe interacting with human consciousness. This interaction is associated both in Copenhagen quantum theory and in von Neumann quantum theory with a sudden change that brings the objective physical state of a system in line with a subjectively felt psychical reality. The objective physical state is thereby converted from a material substrate to an informational and dispositional substrate that carries both the information incorporated into it by the psychical realities, and certain dispositions for the occurrence of future psychical realities. The present work examines and proposes solutions to two problems that have appeared to block the development of this conception of nature. The first problem is how to reconcile this theory with the principles of relativistic quantum field theory; the second problem is to understand whether, strictly within quantum theory, a person's mind can affect the activities of his brain, and if so how. Solving the first problem involves resolving a certain non-locality question. The proposed solution to the second problem is based on a postulated connection between effort, attention, and the quantum Zeno effect. This solution explains on the basic of quantum physics a large amount of heretofore unexplained data amassed by psychologists.  相似文献

In this paper, the numerical simulations for a helical baffles heat exchanger and a segmental baffles heat exchanger with component clearance are performed to reveal the features of leakage streams and their effect on heat exchanger performance. Helical baffles heat exchanger models with four different angles and segmental baffles heat exchanger model were established and calculated via Gambit and Fluent software. The results reveal that the heat exchanger with a 40° helix angle shows the best comprehensive heat transfer performance in turbulent state, and the heat exchanger with a 50° helix angle shows better comprehensive heat transfer performance in laminar flow state. The leakage streams proportion of the helical baffles heat exchanger varies from 5.5% to 6.1%, compared with the leakage streams proportion changes from 16.6% to 21.0% in the segmental baffles heat exchanger. In both turbulent flow state and laminar flow state, with the rise of shell-side Reynolds number, the main spiral stream B proportion decreases and the leakage streams proportion increases in the segmental baffles heat exchanger, while the stream B proportion increases and the leakage streams proportion decreases in helical baffles heat exchanger. The proportion of stream B increases with the increase of the helix angle β and the proportions of leakage streams decrease with the increase of β. The proportion of the tube-baffle leakage stream A increases in radial direction. Both the proportion of stream A and that of the baffle-shell leakage stream E fluctuate in the intermediate zone in axial direction; the stream A proportion decreases at the inlet and outlet zone, while the stream E proportion increases at the inlet and decreases at the outlet zone. The results of this paper could be of great significance in the optimal design and manufacture of the helical baffles heat exchanger.  相似文献

To make sense of quantum field theory in an arbitrary (globally hyperbolic) curved spacetime, the theory must be formulated in a local and covariant manner in terms of locally measurable field observables. Since a generic curved spacetime does not possess symmetries or a unique notion of a vacuum state, the theory also must be formulated in a manner that does not require symmetries or a preferred notion of a “vacuum state” and “particles”. We propose such a formulation of quantum field theory, wherein the operator product expansion (OPE) of the quantum fields is elevated to a fundamental status, and the quantum field theory is viewed as being defined by its OPE. Since the OPE coefficients may be better behaved than any quantities having to do with states, we suggest that it may be possible to perturbatively construct the OPE coefficients—and, thus, the quantum field theory. By contrast, ground/vacuum states—in spacetimes, such as Minkowski spacetime, where they may be defined—cannot vary analytically with the parameters of the theory. We argue that this implies that composite fields may acquire nonvanishing vacuum state expectation values due to nonperturbative effects. We speculate that this could account for the existence of a nonvanishing vacuum expectation value of the stress-energy tensor of a quantum field occurring at a scale much smaller than the natural scales of the theory. This paper explores the potential of controlling quantum systems by introducing ancillary systems and then performing unitary operation on the resulting composite systems. It generalizes the concept of pure state controllability for quantum systems and establishes the link between the operator controllability of the composite system and the generalized pure state controllability of its subsystem. It is constructively demonstrated that if a composite quantum system can be transferred between any pair of orthonormal pure vectors, then its subsystem is generalized pure-state controllable. Furthermore, the unitary operation and the coherent control can be concretely given to transfer the system from an initial state to the target state. Therefore, these properties may be potentially applied in quantum information, such as manipulating multiple quantum bits and creating entangled pure states. A concrete example has been given to illustrate that a maximally entangled pure state of a quantum system can be generated by introducing an ancillary system and performing open-loop coherent control on the resulting composite system.  相似文献

A proposal is made for a fundamental theory, in which the history of the universe is constituted of diverse views of itself. Views are attributes of events, and the theory’s only be-ables; they comprise information about energy and momentum transferred to an event from its causal past. A dynamics is proposed for a universe constituted of views of events, which combines the energetic causal set dynamics with a potential energy based on a measure of the distinctiveness of the views, called the variety (Smolin in Found Phys 46(6):736–758, 2016). As in the real ensemble formulation of quantum mechanics (Barbour and Smolin in Variety, complexity and cosmology, arXiv: hep-th/9203041), quantum pure states are associated to ensembles of similar events; the quantum potential of Bohm then arises from the variety.  相似文献

Conceptual problems in quantum mechanics result from the specific quantum concept of reality and require, for their solution, including the observer’s consciousness into the quantum theory of measurements. Most naturally, this is achieved in the framework of Everett’s “many-world interpretation” of quantum mechanics. According to this interpretation, various classical alternatives are perceived by consciousness separately from each other. In the Extended Everett Concept (EEC) proposed by the present author, the separation of the alternatives is identified with the phenomenon of consciousness. This explains the classical character of the alternatives and unusual manifestations of consciousness arising “at the edge of consciousness” (i.e., in sleep or trance) when its access to “other alternative classical realities” (other Everett’s worlds) becomes feasible. Because of reversibility of quantum evolution in EEC, all time moments in the quantum world are equivalent, while the impression of flow of time appears only in consciousness. If it is assumed that consciousness may influence the probabilities of alternatives (which is consistent in case of infinitely many Everett’s worlds), EEC explains free will, “probabilistic miracles” (observing low-probability events), and decreasing entropy in the sphere of life. 本文利用全量子理论,对连续能谱量子体系和分立能谱量子体系中的时域压缩-频域展宽以及频域压缩-时域展宽效应进行了详细研究.在文献17构造时间算符的基础上给出频率算符ω∧的定义,根据时间算符t∧与频率算符ω∧之间的对易关系并利用Cauchy-Schwartz不等式导出t∧和ω∧所满足的测不准关系式.给出时域压缩和频域压缩的定义,并对时域/频域上的最小测不准态、压缩最小测不准态和压缩态等进行了详细讨论,指出了时域压缩和频域压缩的非经典性质.给出时域上的拟量子产生算符τ∧+(t)、拟量子湮没算符τ∧(t)和拟量子数算符N∧τ(t)的定义,首次建立了时域量子化的形式理论,并由此进一步提出了时域量子化的基本观点.  相似文献
