Let be a normal complex projective polarized variety and an H‐semistable sheaf on X. We prove that the restriction to a sufficiently positive general complete intersection curve passing through a prescribed finite set of points remains semistable, provided that at each , the variety X is smooth and the factors of a Jordan–Hölder filtration of are locally free. As an application, we obtain a generalization of Miyaoka's generic semipositivity theorem.  相似文献

Let X be an n‐dimensional smooth projective variety with an n‐block collection , with , of coherent sheaves on X that generate the bounded derived category . We give a cohomological characterisation of torsion‐free sheaves on X that are the cohomology of monads of the form where . We apply the result to get a cohomological characterisation when X is the projective space, the smooth hyperquadric or the Fano threefold V5. We construct a family of monads on a Segre variety and apply our main result to this family.  相似文献

In this paper we consider the system of the non‐steady Navier–Stokes equations with mixed boundary conditions. We study the existence and uniqueness of a solution of this system. We define Banach spaces X and Y, respectively, to be the space of “possible” solutions of this problem and the space of its data. We define the operator and formulate our problem in terms of operator equations. Let and be the Fréchet derivative of at . We prove that is one‐to‐one and onto Y. Consequently, suppose that the system is solvable with some given data (the initial velocity and the right hand side). Then there exists a unique solution of this system for data which are small perturbations of the previous ones. The next result proved in the Appendix of this paper is W2, 2‐regularity of solutions of steady Stokes system with mixed boundary condition for sufficiently smooth data.  相似文献

Let Y be a projective variety over a field k (of arbitrary characteristic). Assume that the normalization X of Y is such that is normal, being the algebraic closure of k. We define a notion of strong semistability for vector bundles on Y. We show that a vector bundle on Y is strongly semistable if and only if its pull back to X is strongly semistable and hence it is a tensor category. In case , we show that strongly semistable vector bundles on Y form a neutral Tannakian category. We define the holonomy group scheme of Y to be the Tannakian group scheme for this category. For a strongly semistable principal G‐bundle , we construct a holonomy group scheme. We show that if Y is an integral complex nodal curve, then the holonomy group of a strongly semistable vector bundle on Y is the Zariski closure of the (topological) fundamental group of Y.  相似文献

Given a complex JB*‐triple X, we define and study admissible topologies on X, i.e., locally convex topologies τ on X coarser than the norm topology, invariant under the group of surjective linear isometries of X, and such that the triple product is jointly ‐continuous on bounded subsets of X. As a consequence of the joint ‐continuity of the triple product, all holomorphic automorphisms of the open unit ball are homeomorphisms of and the natural action is jointly ‐continuous on .  相似文献

We define two transforms of non‐conformal harmonic maps from a surface into the 3‐sphere. With these transforms one can construct, from one such harmonic map, a sequence of harmonic maps. We show that there is a correspondence between harmonic maps into the 3‐sphere, H‐surfaces in Euclidean 3‐space and almost complex surfaces in the nearly Kähler manifold . As a consequence we can construct sequences of H‐surfaces and almost complex surfaces.  相似文献

In this paper we relate the generator property of an operator A with (abstract) generalized Wentzell boundary conditions on a Banach space X and its associated (abstract) Dirichlet‐to‐Neumann operator N acting on a “boundary” space . Our approach is based on similarity transformations and perturbation arguments and allows to split A into an operator A00 with Dirichlet‐type boundary conditions on a space X0 of states having “zero trace” and the operator N. If A00 generates an analytic semigroup, we obtain under a weak Hille–Yosida type condition that A generates an analytic semigroup on X if and only if N does so on . Here we assume that the (abstract) “trace” operator is bounded that is typically satisfied if X is a space of continuous functions. Concrete applications are made to various second order differential operators.  相似文献

Relative geometric invariant theory studies the behavior of semistable points under equivariant morphisms. More precisely, suppose G is a reductive linear algebraic group over an algebraically closed field k, X and Y are quasi‐projective varieties endowed with G‐actions, is a G‐equivariant projective morphism, the G‐action on Y is linearized in the ample line bundle M, and the G‐action on X is linearized in the φ‐ample line bundle L. For any positive integer n, there is an induced linearization of the G‐action on X in the line bundle . If Y is projective and , the set of points in X that are semistable with respect to this linearization is contained in the preimage under φ of the set of points in Y that are semistable with respect to the given linearization in M. The same statement is trivially also true, if Y is affine and . In this note, we show by means of an example that the statement does not hold for arbitrary quasi‐projective varieties Y. This shows that a claim by Hu of the contrary is not true. Relative geometric invariant theory plays a role in the construction and study of degenerations of moduli spaces.  相似文献

In this paper we introduce two Bishop–Phelps–Bollobás type properties for bounded linear operators between two Banach spaces X and Y : property 1 and property 2. These properties are motivated by a Kim–Lee result which states, under our notation, that a Banach space X is uniformly convex if and only if the pair satisfies property 2. Positive results of pairs of Banach spaces satisfying property 1 are given and concrete pairs of Banach spaces failing both properties are exhibited. A complete characterization of property 1 for the pairs is also provided.  相似文献

We give a sharp estimate for the codimension of the poly‐Bergman space in the poly‐Bergman space over the punctured domain. It is established the behaviour at the infinity point of polyanalytic Bergman functions on the complement of closed disks. In the main result of the paper, we prove that for and the j‐polyanalytic Bergman space over the domain U is trivial precisely when the complement of U has at most one point and at most two points or three points lying in a circle, respectively. We point out the differences between the domains over which the Bergman space and the non‐analytic poly‐Bergman space are trivial.  相似文献

Let G be a split semisimple algebraic group over a field k and let X be the flag variety (i.e., the variety of Borel subgroups) of G twisted by a generic G‐torsor. We start a systematic study of the conjecture, raised in 5 in form of a question, that the canonical epimorphism of the Chow ring of X onto the associated graded ring of the topological filtration on the Grothendieck ring of X is an isomorphism. Since the topological filtration in this case is known to coincide with the computable gamma filtration, this conjecture indicates a way to compute the Chow ring. We reduce its proof to the case of . For simply‐connected or adjoint G , we reduce the proof to the case of simple G . Finally, we provide a list of types of simple groups for which the conjecture holds. Besides of some classical types considered previously (namely, A, C, and the special orthogonal groups of types B and D), the list contains the exceptional types G2, F4, and simply‐connected E6.  相似文献

We consider Navier–Stokes equations for compressible viscous fluids in the one‐dimensional case. We prove the existence of global strong solution with large initial data for compressible Navier–Stokes equation with viscosity coefficients of the form with (it includes in particular the important physical case of the viscous shallow water system when ). The key ingredient of the proof relies to a new formulation of the compressible equations involving a new effective velocity v (see 13 , 14 , 16 , 17 ) such that the density verifies a parabolic equation. In this paper, we apply Borcea–Voisin's construction and give new examples of fourfolds containing a del Pezzo surface of degree six, which admit an elliptic fibration on a smooth threefold. Some of these fourfolds are Calabi–Yau varieties, which are relevant for the compactification of Type IIB string theory known as F‐theory. As a by‐product, we provide a new example of a Calabi–Yau threefold with Hodge numbers .  相似文献

Let X be a rearrangement‐invariant Banach function space on Q where Q is a cube in and let be the Sobolev space of real‐valued weakly differentiable functions f satisfying . We establish a reduction theorem for an embedding of the Sobolev space into spaces of Campanato, Morrey and Hölder type. As a result we obtain a new characterization of such embeddings in terms of boundedness of a certain one‐dimensional integral operator on representation spaces.  相似文献

Moreover authors also prove that the space (resp ) is uniformly noncreasy if and only if the space (resp ) is uniformly convex or uniformly smooth. Let C be a smooth projective curve and G be a finite subgroup of whose action is mixed, i.e. there are elements in G exchanging the two isotrivial fibrations of . Let be the index two subgroup . If G0 acts freely, then is smooth and we call it semi‐isogenous mixed surface. In this paper we give an algorithm to determine semi‐isogenous mixed surfaces with given geometric genus, irregularity and self‐intersection of the canonical class. As an application we classify irregular semi‐isogenous mixed surfaces with and geometric genus equal to the irregularity; the regular case is subjected to some computational restrictions.
