Five dinuclear lanthanide complexes [Ln2L2(NO3)2(OAc)4] · 2CH3CN [Ln = Gd ( 1 ), Tb ( 2 ), Dy ( 3 ), Ho ( 4 ), and Er ( 5 )] [L = 2‐((2‐pyridinylmethylene)hydrazine)ethanol] were synthesized from the reactions of Ln(NO3)3 · 6H2O with L and CH3COOH in the presence of triethylamine. Their crystal structures were determined. They show similar dinuclear cores with the two lanthanide ions bridged by four acetate ligands in the μ2‐η12 and μ2‐η11 bridging modes. Each LnIII ion in complexes 1 – 5 is further chelated by one L ligand and one nitrate ion, leading to the formation of a nine‐coordinated mono‐capped square antiprism arrangement. The dinuclear molecules in 1 – 5 are consolidated by hydrogen bonds and π ··· π stacking interactions to build a two‐dimensional sheet. Their magnetic properties were investigated. It revealed antiferromagnetic interactions between the GdIII ions in 1 and ferromagnetic interactions between the TbIII ions in 2 . The profiles of χmT vs. T curves of 3 – 5 reveal that the magnetic properties of 3 – 5 are probably dominated by the thermal depopulation of the Stark sublevels of LnIII ions.  相似文献

The cyanide building block [FeIII(pzphen)(CN)4] and its four lanthanide complexes [{FeIII(pzphen)(CN)4}2LnIII(H2O)5(DMF)3] · (NO3) · 2(H2O) · (CH3CN) [Ln = Nd ( 1 ), Sm ( 2 ), DMF = dimethyl formamide] and [{FeIII(pzphen)(CN)4}2LnIII(NO3)(H2O)2(DMF)2](CH3CN) [Ln = Gd ( 3 ), Dy ( 4 )] were synthesized and structurally characterized by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction. Compounds 1 and 2 are ionic salts with two [FeIII(pzphen)(CN)4] cations and one LnIII ion, but compounds 3 and 4 are cyano‐bridged FeIIILnIII heterometallic 3d‐4f complexes exhibiting a trinuclear structure in the same conditions. Magnetic studies show that compound 3 is antiferromagnetic between the central FeIII and GdIII atoms. Furthermore, the trinuclear cyano‐bridged FeIII2DyIII compound 4 displays no single‐molecular magnets (SMMs) behavior by the alternating current magnetic susceptibility measurements.  相似文献

Three new homodinuclear lanthanide(III) complexes [Ln2(L)6(2,2′‐bipy)2] [Ln = TbIII ( 1 ), SmIII ( 2 ), EuIII ( 3 ); HL = 3‐hydroxycinnamic acid (3‐HCA); 2,2′‐bipy = 2,2′‐bipyridine] were synthesized and characterized by IR spectroscopy, elemental analyses, and X‐ray diffraction techniques. Complexes 1 – 3 crystallize in triclinic system, space group P$\bar{1}$ . In all complexes the lanthanide ions are nine‐coordinate by two nitrogen atoms from the 2,2′‐bipy ligand and seven oxygen atoms from one chelating L ligands and four bridging L ligands, forming distorted tricapped trigonal prismatic arrangements. The lanthanide(III) ions are intramolecularly bridged by eight carboxylate oxygen atoms forming dimeric complexes with Ln ··· Ln distances of 3.92747(15), 3.9664(6), and 3.9415(4) Å for complexes 1 – 3 , respectively. The luminescent properties in the solid state of HL ligand and EuIII complex are also discussed.  相似文献

The Schiff base N,N′‐bis(salicylidene)‐1,5‐diamino‐3‐oxapentane (H2L) and its lanthanide(III) complexes, PrL(NO3)(DMF)(H2O) ( 1 ) and Ho2L2(NO3)2 · 2H2O ( 2 ), were synthesized and characterized by physicochemical and spectroscopic methods. Single crystal X‐ray structure analysis revealed that complex 1 is a discrete mononuclear species. The PrIII ion is nine‐coordinate, forming a distorted capped square antiprismatic arrangement. Complex 2 is a centrosymmetric dinuclear neutral entity in which the HoIII ion is eight‐coordinate with distorted square antiprismatic arrangement. The DNA‐binding properties of H2L and its LnIII complexes were investigated by spectrophotometric methods and viscosity measurements. The results suggest that the ligand H2L and its LnIII complexes both connect to DNA in a groove binding mode; the complexes bind more strongly to DNA than the ligand. Moreover, the antioxidant activities of the LnIII complexes were in vitro determined by superoxide and hydroxyl radical scavenging methods, which indicate that complexes 1 and 2 have OH · and O2– · radical scavenging activity.  相似文献

Two isostructural heterometallic complexes, {[Dy3Ni3(H2O)3(mpko)9(O2)(NO3)3](ClO4) · 3CH3OH · 3CH3CN} ( 1 ) and {[Gd3Ni3(H2O)3(mpko)9(O2)(NO3)3](NO3) · 10.75CH3OH} ( 2 ) [mpkoH = 1‐(pyrazin‐2‐yl)ethanone oxime], were solvothermally synthesized by varying lanthanide ions with different magnetic anisotropy. Structural analyses revealed that both complexes contain a peroxide anion‐aggregated triangular {Ln33‐Ο2)}7+ core, which is surrounded by three NiII octahedra through threefold oxime linkages into a heterometallic hexanuclear cluster. Apparent antiferromagnetic interactions are observed between the adjacent spin carriers of 1 and 2 with the coupling constant JLn ··· Ni ≈ 12JLn ··· Ln. Additionally, 1 with highly anisotropic DyIII site shows slow magnetization relaxation under zero dc field and 2 constructed from isotropic GdIII ion displays significant cryogenic magnetocaloric effect with a maximum entropy change of 24.8 J · kg–1 · K–1 at 3.0 K and 70 kOe.  相似文献

The Schiff base ligand N1,N3‐bis(3‐methoxysalicylidene)diethylenetriamine (H2valdien) and the co‐ligand 6‐chloro‐2‐hydroxypyridine (Hchp) were used to construct two 3d–4f heterometallic single‐ion magnets [Co2Dy(valdien)2(OCH3)2(chp)2] ? ClO4 ? 5 H2O ( 1 ) and [Co2Tb(valdien)2(OCH3)2(chp)2] ? ClO4 ? 2 H2O ? CH3OH ( 2 ). The two trinuclear [CoIII2LnIII] complexes behave as a mononuclear LnIII magnetic system because of the presence of two diamagnetic cobalt(III) ions. Complex 1 has a molecular symmetry center, and it crystallizes in the C2/c space group, whereas complex 2 shows a lower molecular symmetry and crystallizes in the P21/c space group. Magnetic investigations indicated that both complexes are field‐induced single‐ion magnets, and the CoIII2–DyIII complex possesses a larger energy barrier [74.1(4.2) K] than the CoIII2–TbIII complex [32.3(2.6) K].  相似文献

Four 3D lanthanide organic frameworks from potassium pyrazine‐2, 3, 5, 6‐tetracarboxylate (K4pztc) or potassium pyridine‐2, 3, 5, 6‐tetracarboxylate (K4pdtc), namely, {[KEu(pztc)(H2O)2] · H2O}n ( 1 ), {[KTb(pztc)(H2O)2] · 1.25H2O}n ( 2 ), {[KLn(pdtc)(H2O)] · H2O}n [Ln = Gd ( 3 ), Ho ( 4 )], were synthesized by reaction of the corresponding lanthanide oxides with K4pztc or K4pdtc in presence of HCl under hydrothermal conditions, and characterized by elemental analysis, TGA, IR and fluorescence spectroscopy as well as X‐ray diffraction. In complexes 1 and 2 , the dodecadentate chelator pztc4– links four LnIII ions and four KI ions. The coordination mode of the pztc4– ligand is reported for the first time herein. Complexes 3 and 4 are isostructural with earlier reported Nd, Dy, Er complexes. Moreover, the EuIII and TbIII complexes exhibit the characteristic luminescence.  相似文献

Abstract. Two radical–LnIII–radical complexes, [Ln(hfac)3(NITPh‐Ph)2] [Ln = Gd ( 1 ) and Ho ( 2 ), hfac = hexafluoroacetylacetonate; and NITPh‐Ph = 4′‐biphenyl‐4, 4, 5, 5‐tetramethylimidazoline‐1‐oxyl‐3‐oxide] were synthesized and characterized by X‐ray diffraction, elemental analysis, magnetic measurements, as well as IR and UV/Vis spectroscopy. X‐ray crystal structure analysis revealed that the structures of both complexes are isomorphous, the central LnIII ions are coordinated by six oxygen atoms from three hfac ligand molecules and two oxygen atoms from nitronyl radicals. The temperature dependencies of the magnetic susceptibilities were studied. They showed that in the GdIII complex, ferromagnetic interactions between GdIII and the radicals and antiferromagnetic interactions between the radicals coexist in this system (with JRad–Gd = 0.1 cm–1, JRad–Rad = –0.309 cm–1).  相似文献

The reactions of Ln(NO3)3 · 6H2O and 4‐acetamidobenzoic acid (Haba) with 4,4′‐bipyridine (4,4′‐bpy) in ethanol solution resulted in three new lanthanide coordination polymers, namely {[Ln(aba)3(H2O)2] · 0.5(4,4′‐bpy) · 2H2O} [Ln = Sm ( 1 ), Gd ( 2 ), and Er ( 3 ), aba = 4‐acetamidobenzoate]. Compounds 1 – 3 are isomorphous and have one‐dimensional chains bridged by four aba anions. 4,4′‐Bipyridine molecules don’t take part in the coordination with LnIII ions and occur in the lattice as guest molecules. Moreover, the adjacent 1D chains in the complex are further linked through numerous N–H ··· O and O–H ··· O hydrogen bonds to form a 3D supramolecular network. In addition, complex 1 in the solid state shows characteristic emission in the visible region at room temperature.  相似文献

The bifunctional ligand 2,6‐dipicolinoylbis(N,N‐diethylthiourea) (H2L) readily reacts with mixtures of Zn(CH3COO)2 and LnCl3 in MeOH at ambient temperature with formation of trinuclear heterobimetallic complexes [Zn2Ln(L)2(OAc)3] ( 1a – 1f ) (Ln = Ce, Nd, Sm, Gd, Dy, Er). The X‐ray single‐crystal diffraction and structural studies of the complexes revealed their isostructural nature, in which two doubly‐charged ligands {L2–} bind two Zn2+ ions with the terminal acylthiourea sites and one Ln3+ ion with the central 2,6‐pyridinedicarboxamide site. In the complexes, the coordination numbers of LnIII and ZnII ions are 9 and 5, respectively. Magnetic properties of the complexes were studied by temperature‐dependent dc magnetic measurements. The observed μeff values at room temperature are all closed to the calculated values. Fitting χM and M data of [Zn2Gd(L)2(OAc)3] ( 1d ) shows a giso value of 1.94.  相似文献

Four salen‐type lanthanide(III) coordination polymers [LnH2L(NO3)3(MeOH)x]n [Ln = La ( 1 ), Ce ( 2 ), Sm ( 3 ), Gd ( 4 )] were prepared by reaction of Ln(NO3)3 · 6H2O with H2L [H2L = N,N′‐bis(salicylidene)‐1,2‐cyclohexanediamine]. Single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction analysis revealed that H2L effectively functions as a bridging ligand forming a series of 1D chain‐like polymers. The solid‐state fluorescence spectra of polymers 1 and 2 emit single ligand‐centered green fluorescence, whereas 3 exhibits typical red fluorescence of SmIII ions. The lowest triplet level of ligand H2L was calculated on the basis of the phosphorescence spectrum of GdIII complex 4 . The energy transfer mechanisms in the lanthanide polymers were described and discussed.  相似文献

Two novel trinuclear complexes [ZnCl(μ‐L)Ln(μ‐L)ClZn][ZnCl3(CH3OH)]?3 CH3OH (LnIII=Dy ( 1 ) and Er ( 2 )) have been prepared from the compartmental ligand N,N′‐dimethyl‐N,N′‐bis(2‐hydroxy‐3‐formyl‐5‐bromo‐benzyl)ethylenediamine (H2L). X‐ray studies reveal that LnIII ions are coordinated by two [ZnCl(L)]? units through the phenoxo and aldehyde groups, giving rise to a LnO8 coordination sphere with square‐antiprism geometry and strong easy‐axis anisotropy of the ground state. Ab initio CASSCF+RASSI calculations carried out on 1 confirm that the ground state is an almost pure MJ=±15/2 Kramers doublet with a marked axial anisotropy, the magnetic moment is roughly collinear with the shortest Dy?O distances. This orientation of the local magnetic moment of the DyIII ion in 1 is adopted to reduce the electronic repulsion between the oblate electron shape of the MJ=±15/2 Kramers doublet and the phenoxo‐oxygen donor atoms involved in the shortest Dy?O bonds. CASSCF+RASSI calculations also show that the ground and first excited states of the DyIII ion are separated by 129 cm?1. As expected for this large energy gap, compound 1 exhibits, in a zero direct‐current field, thermally activated slow relaxation of the magnetization with a large Ueff=140 K. The isostructural Zn–Er–Zn species does not present significant SMM behavior as expected for the prolate electron‐density distribution of the ErIII ion leading to an easy‐plane anisotropy of the ground doublet state.  相似文献

The reactions of Ln(NO3)3 with 1,4‐phenylenediacetic acid (H2PDA) under hydrothermal conditions produced two isostructural lanthanide coordination polymers with the empirical formula [Ln2(PDA)3(H2O)] · 2H2O [Ln = Nd ( 1 ), Sm ( 2 )]. Single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction analyses revealed that both contain one‐dimensionalmetal carboxylato chains, which are further connected by the–CH2C6H4CH2– spacers of PDA2– ligands to yield a three‐dimensional metal‐organic framework. Magnetic susceptibilities of 1 and 2 were measured. The experimental χmT value of both compounds decreases continuously with decreasing temperature over the whole temperature range. The best least‐squares fit of the experimental data of 1 to a theoretical equation in the temperature range of 70–300 K gives the zero‐field splitting parameter Δ = 2.21 cm–1 and the magnetic interaction between the NdIII ions 2zJ′ = –1.97 cm–1, which indicates the presence of antiferromagnetic interaction between the NdIII ions. The experimental χmT value of 2 at 2 K is much smaller than the expected value for two free SmIII ions (6H5/2, g = 2/7) in the ground state, indicating that an antiferromagnetic interaction possibly exists between SmIII ions at low temperature. Fitting the magnetic data of 2 above 110 K based on an equation deduced from the SmIII ion in a monomeric system with free‐ion approximation gave a spin‐orbit coupling parameter λ = 192(2) cm–1  相似文献

A series of 3D d–f heterometallic coordination polymers, {[Ln2Zn(Pzdc)4(H2O)6] · 2H2O}n [Ln = La ( 1 ), Pr ( 2 ), Nd ( 3 ), Sm ( 4 ), Eu ( 5 ), Gd ( 6 ), Tb ( 7 ), Dy ( 8 )] (H2Pzdc = 2,3‐pyrazine dicarboxylic acid), were synthesized by one‐pot reactions under hydrothermal conditions. X‐ray crystallographical analysis and powder X‐ray diffraction analysis reveal that the complexes 1 – 8 are isostructural and adopt a multi‐parallel quadrilateral channel network structure with {4.6 · 2}2{4 · 2.6 · 2.8 · 2}{6 · 3}2{6 · 5.8}2 topology, in which the central LnIII ion is nine‐coordinate by four oxygen atoms and two nitrogen atoms from four ligands and three oxygen atoms from three coordinated H2O molecules and the central ZnII ion is six‐coordinate by four oxygen atoms and two nitrogen atoms from four ligands. Moreover, the photophysical properties related to the electronic transition for complexes 4 , 5 , 7 , and 8 were investigated by the excitation and emission spectra as well as the emission lifetimes.  相似文献

Three FeIII2LnIII2 tetranuclear heterometallic clusters, [H4LGd(H2O)Tp*Fe(CN)3]2·8H2O·2MeOH (1) and [H4LLn(MeOH)Tp*Fe(CN)3]2·6MeOH·2MeCN (Ln?=?Tb and Dy for 2 and 3, respectively, H6L = N,N′-(2,6-pyridine-dicarboxyl)-disalicylhydrazide, Tp* = hydridotris(3,5dimethylpyrazol-1-yl)-borate), were synthesized by use of the [(Tp*)Fe(CN)3]? unit as a metalloligand toward LnCl3 and H6L species. Structural analyses reveal that FeIII and LnIII ions in all complexes are connected to each other by one cyanide to form a heterobinuclear unit of [Ln(H4L)][(Tp*)Fe(CN)3], which is dimerized through Ln–N–C?=?O–Ln interaction. Magnetic susceptibility measurements show weak antiferromagnetic interactions between cyano-bridged FeIII and GdIII ions and amide-bridged GdIII ions are operative. Complex 1 displays the magnetocaloric effect with ?ΔSmmax = 12.70 J·kg?1·K?1 at 4.0 K for ΔH?=?7 T. No single-molecule magnetic properties are observed for 2 or 3 down to 1.8 K.  相似文献

The use of the [FeIII(AA)(CN)4]? complex anion as metalloligand towards the preformed [CuII(valpn)LnIII]3+ or [NiII(valpn)LnIII]3+ heterometallic complex cations (AA=2,2′‐bipyridine (bipy) and 1,10‐phenathroline (phen); H2valpn=1,3‐propanediyl‐bis(2‐iminomethylene‐6‐methoxyphenol)) allowed the preparation of two families of heterotrimetallic complexes: three isostructural 1D coordination polymers of general formula {[CuII(valpn)LnIII(H2O)3(μ‐NC)2FeIII(phen)(CN)2 {(μ‐NC)FeIII(phen)(CN)3}]NO3 ? 7 H2O}n (Ln=Gd ( 1 ), Tb ( 2 ), and Dy ( 3 )) and the trinuclear complex [CuII(valpn)LaIII(OH2)3(O2NO)(μ‐NC)FeIII(phen)(CN)3] ? NO3 ? H2O ? CH3CN ( 4 ) were obtained with the [CuII(valpn)LnIII]3+ assembling unit, whereas three isostructural heterotrimetallic 2D networks, {[NiII(valpn)LnIII(ONO2)2(H2O)(μ‐NC)3FeIII(bipy)(CN)] ? 2 H2O ? 2 CH3CN}n (Ln=Gd ( 5 ), Tb ( 6 ), and Dy ( 7 )) resulted with the related [NiII(valpn)LnIII]3+ precursor. The crystal structure of compound 4 consists of discrete heterotrimetallic complex cations, [CuII(valpn)LaIII(OH2)3(O2NO)(μ‐NC)FeIII(phen)(CN)3]+, nitrate counterions, and non‐coordinate water and acetonitrile molecules. The heteroleptic {FeIII(bipy)(CN)4} moiety in 5 – 7 acts as a tris‐monodentate ligand towards three {NiII(valpn)LnIII} binuclear nodes leading to heterotrimetallic 2D networks. The ferromagnetic interaction through the diphenoxo bridge in the CuII?LnIII ( 1 – 3 ) and NiII?LnIII ( 5 – 7 ) units, as well as through the single cyanide bridge between the FeIII and either NiII ( 5 – 7 ) or CuII ( 4 ) account for the overall ferromagnetic behavior observed in 1 – 7 . DFT‐type calculations were performed to substantiate the magnetic interactions in 1 , 4 , and 5 . Interestingly, compound 6 exhibits slow relaxation of the magnetization with maxima of the out‐of‐phase ac signals below 4.0 K in the lack of a dc field, the values of the pre‐exponential factor (τo) and energy barrier (Ea) through the Arrhenius equation being 2.0×10?12 s and 29.1 cm?1, respectively. In the case of 7 , the ferromagnetic interactions through the double phenoxo (NiII–DyIII) and single cyanide (FeIII–NiII) pathways are masked by the depopulation of the Stark levels of the DyIII ion, this feature most likely accounting for the continuous decrease of χM T upon cooling observed for this last compound.  相似文献

Two heterometallic 3d–4f coordination polymers, [Gd(CuL)2(Hbtca)(btca)(H2O)] · 2H2O ( 1 ) and [Er(CuL)2(Hbtca)(btca)(H2O)] · H2O · CH3OH ( 2 ) (CuL, H2L = 2,3‐dioxo‐5,6,14,15‐dibenzo‐1,4,8,12‐tetraazacyclo‐pentadeca‐7,13‐dien; H2btca = benzotriazole‐5‐carboxylic acid) were synthesized by solvothermal methods and characterized by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction. Complexes 1 and 2 exhibit a double‐strand meso‐helical chain structures formed by [LnIIICuII2] (LnIII = Gd, Er) units by oxamide and benzotriazole‐5‐carboxylate bridges. They are isomorphic except that one free water molecule of 1 is replaced by a methanol molecule. All 1D chains are further interlinked by hydrogen bonds resulting in a 3D supramolecular architecture. The magnetic properties of the compound 1 and 2 are also discussed.  相似文献

A series of heterometallic LnIII–SbIII edta‐containing compounds with the formulas [Sb2(edta)2Ln]NO3 · nH2O [edta = ethylenediaminetetraacetate; Ln = Eu, n = 7 ( 1 ); Gd, n = 7.5 ( 2 ) and Tb, n = 8 ( 3 )] were synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses (EA), powder X‐ray diffraction (PXDP), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT‐IR), and thermogravimetric analyses (TGA). Their fluorescence and magnetic properties were also studied. The thermal analysis demonstrates the compounds formation of the antimony, lanthanide ions, and edta4– ligands. FT‐IR spectra reveal that the antimony and lanthanide ions are connected through the carboxylate bridges. The studies of luminescence properties show that compounds 1 and 3 exhibit typical luminescence in the visible region. Furthermore, magnetic properties reveal compounds 2 and 3 have weak ferromagnetic behavior.  相似文献

Two tetranuclear manganese complexes, [NaMnIIMn3III4‐O2–)(HL)3(SCN)4] ( 1 ) and [NaMnIIMn3III4‐O2–)(HL)3Cl4][NaMnIIMn3III4‐O2–)(HL)3Cl3(H2O)]ClO4 · 3.5H2O ( 2 ) were obtained from the reaction of manganese perchlorate with a quadridentate Schiff base ligand, 3‐(2‐hydroxybenzylideneamino)propane‐1, 2‐diol (H3L) derived from condensation of 2‐hydroxybenzaldehyde with 3‐amino‐1, 2‐propanediol, as well as the coligand KSCN or NaCl under basic conditions. Single‐crystal X‐ray studies reveal that those two complexes all have a mixed‐valent tetrahedral core, which contains an apical MnII ion and three basal MnIII ions situated in the [Mn34‐O2–)]7+ equilateral triangle plane. Fitting of the magnetic susceptibility data to the theoretical χmT vs. T expression, revealed that the presence of only antiferromagnetic interactions between the central metal atoms in 1 , while both antiferromagnetic and ferromagnetic interactions are present in 2 .  相似文献

Lanthanide triflates have been used to incorporate NdIII and SmIII ions into the 2.2.2‐cryptand ligand (crypt) to explore their reductive chemistry. The Ln(OTf)3 complexes (Ln=Nd, Sm; OTf=SO3CF3) react with crypt in THF to form the THF‐soluble complexes [LnIII(crypt)(OTf)2][OTf] with two triflates bound to the metal encapsulated in the crypt. Reduction of these LnIII‐in‐crypt complexes using KC8 in THF forms the neutral LnII‐in‐crypt triflate complexes [LnII(crypt)(OTf)2]. DFT calculations on [NdII(crypt)]2+], the first NdII cryptand complex, assign a 4f4 electron configuration to this ion.  相似文献
