The multifrequency electrical impedance tomography is considered to image a conductivity inclusion inside a homogeneous background medium by injecting one current. An original spectral decomposition of the solution of the forward conductivity problem is used to retrieve the Cauchy data corresponding to the extreme case of perfect conductor. Using results based on the unique continuation, we then prove the uniqueness of multifrequency electrical impedance tomography and obtain rigorous stability estimates. Our results in this paper are quite surprising in inverse conductivity problem since in general infinitely many input currents are needed to obtain the uniqueness in the determination of the conductivity.  相似文献

For the equation of wave propagation in the half-space ? + 2 + = {(x, y) ∈ ?2 | y > 0} we consider the problem of determining the speed of wave propagation that depends only on the variable y and the shape of a point impulse source on the boundary of the half-space. We show that, under some assumptions on the shape of the source and the structure of the medium, both unknown functions of one variable are uniquely determined by the displacements of boundary points of the medium. In this paper, we consider an inverse problem for the simultaneous diffusion process of elastic and electromagnetic waves in an isotropic heterogeneous elastic body which is identified with an open bounded domain. From the mathematical point of view, the system under consideration can be viewed as the coupling between the hyperbolic system of elastic waves and a parabolic system for the magnetic field. We study an inverse problem of determining the external source terms by observations data in a neighborhood of the boundary and we prove the Hölder stability. For the proof, we show a Carleman estimate for the displacement and the magnetic field of the magnetoelastic system.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the problem of heat conduction from an inclusion in a heat transfer layered medium. Making use of the boundary integral equation method, the well-posedness of the forward problem is established by the Fredholm theory. Then an inverse boundary value problem, i.e. identifying the inclusion from the measurements of the temperature and heat flux on the accessible exterior boundary of the medium is considered in the framework of the linear sampling method. Based on a careful analysis of the Dirichlet-to-Neumann map, the mathematical fundamentals of the linear sampling method for reconstructing the inclusion are proved rigorously.  相似文献

We consider a system of hyperbolic integro-differential equations of SH waves in a visco-elastic porous medium. In this work, it is assumed that the visco-elastic porous medium has weakly horizontally inhomogeneity. The direct problem is the initial-boundary problem: the initial data is equal to zero, and the Neumann-type boundary condition is specified at the half-plane boundary and is an impulse function. As additional information, the oscillation mode of the half-plane line is given. It is assumed that the unknown kernel has the form K(x,t)=K0(t)+ϵxK1(t)+…, where ϵ is a small parameter. In this work, we construct a method for finding K0,K1 up to a correction of the order of O(ϵ2).  相似文献

Considering the linear system of elasticity equations describing the wave propagation in the half-space ? + 3 = {x ∈ ?3 | x 3 > 0} we address the problem of determining the density and elastic parameters which are piecewise constant functions of x 3. The shape is unknown of a point-like impulse source that excites elastic oscillations in the half-space. We show that under certain assumptions on the source shape and the parameters of the elastic medium the displacements of the boundary points of the half-space for some finite time interval (0, T) uniquely determine the normalized density (with respect to the first layer) and the elastic Lamé parameters for x 3 ∈ [0, H], where H = H(T). We give an algorithmic procedure for constructing the required parameters.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the inverse Robin transmission problem with one electrostatic measurement. We prove a uniqueness result for the simultaneous determination of the Robin parameter p, the conductivity k, and the subdomain D, when D is a ball. When D and k are fixed, we prove a uniqueness result and a directional Lipschitz stability estimate for the Robin parameter p. When p and k are fixed, we give an upper bound to the subdomain D. For the reconstruction purposes of the Robin parameter p, we set the inverse problem under an optimization form for a Kohn–Vogelius cost functional. We prove the existence and the stability of the optimization problem. Finally, we show some numerical experiments that agree with the theoretical considerations. The inverse problems of determining the source and coefficient of an elliptic equation in a rectangle are studied. Additional information on the solution to the direct problem (overdetermination) is the trace of its solution on an interval inside the rectangle. Sufficient existence and uniqueness conditions (global) are derived for the inverse problems. The study is performed in the class of continuously differentiable functions whose derivatives satisfy a Hölder condition.  相似文献

The article presents a generalization of the integral equation of an insulated linear antenna immersed in a cylindrically layered lossy dielectric medium. The insulation is provided by a lossless dielectric layer. The kernel of the integral equation is represented as a superposition of the fundamental solutions of the wave equation with equivalent propagation constants for the given media. For a medium that consists of alternating elastic and fluid layers, an effective model is constructed and investigated. This model is a special case of the Biot medium. The wave field is represented as Fourier and Mellin integrals. In the Mellin integral, the contour of integration is replaced by a stationary contour. In the expressions obtained, the order of integration is changed and the inner integral is calculated. The outer integral is equal to two residues. The corresponding poles are roots of two equations of fourth order. These roots lie on the right half-plane and may be complex or real. The representation obtained for the wave field is in agreement with the expressions derived by the Smirnov-Sobolev method. In continuous casting of steel, the control of the solidification front by means of the amount of water sprayed onto the strand is of great practical interest. We study the thermal history in a continuously cast cylindrical billet. The mathematical model is a two-dimensional nonlinear heat equation div[k(u)gradu] = ut subject to water-cooling and heat radiation boundary conditions. We establish existence, uniqueness and stability results for both the temperature field and the solidification front. We study the monotonicity behaviour of the temperature field and show that certain technically easy-to-realize cooling-strategies may generate double liquid fingers at the final stage of solidification. The inverse problem of determining the cooling strategy is an ill-posed problem. We therefore use Tikhonov regularization as a stable and convergent methodfor treating this problem.  相似文献
