It is shown that an analytic map ? of the unit disk into itself inducing a Hilbert-Schmidt composition operator on the Dirichlet space has the property that the set has zero logarithmic capacity. We also show that this is no longer true for compact composition operators on the Dirichlet space. Moreover, such a condition is not even satisfied by Hilbert-Schmidt composition operators on the Hardy space. 相似文献

In this paper, we study some properties of , i.e., square roots of semihyponormal operators. In particular we show that an operator has a scalar extension, i.e., is similar to the restriction to an invariant subspace of a (generalized) scalar operator (in the sense of Colojoar?-Foia?). In this paper we consider a class of weighted integral operators onL
2 (0, ) and show that they are unitarily equivalent to Hankel operators on weighted Bergman spaces of the right half plane. We discuss conditions for the Hankel integral operator to be finite rank, Hilbert-Schmidt, nuclear and compact, expressed in terms of the kernel of the integral operator. For a particular class of weights these operators are shown to be unitarily equivalent to little Hankel operators on weighted Bergman spaces of the disc, and the symbol correspondence is given. Finally the special case of the unweighted Bergman space is considered and for this case, motivated by approximation problems in systems theory, some asymptotic results on the singular values of Hankel integral operators are provided. 相似文献

We show that there exist non-compact composition operators in the connected component of the compact ones on the classical Hardy space H2. This answers a question posed by Shapiro and Sundberg in 1990. We also establish an improved version of a theorem of MacCluer, giving a lower bound for the essential norm of a difference of composition operators in terms of the angular derivatives of their symbols. We introduce a new class of operator algebras on Hilbert space. To each bounded linear operator a spectral algebra is associated. These algebras are quite substantial, each containing the commutant of the associated operator, frequently as a proper subalgebra. We establish several sufficient conditions for a spectral algebra to have a nontrivial invariant subspace. When the associated operator is compact this leads to a generalization of Lomonosov's theorem. 相似文献
