This paper is a study of the steady state response of an orthotropic plate strip to a moving line load. The plate is of infinite length and subjected to initial in-plane stresses parallel and perpendicular to the edges. The solution is obtained on the basis of a thick plate theory which takes into account the effects of shear deformation and rotatory inertia. The critical speed of the load which brings about a resonance effect in the system is determined. Further, the bending moment in the plate is calculated for several values of the load speed and the initial stress parameters and shown graphically as a function of the space variable moving with the load.  相似文献

This paper is a study of the dynamic response of an infinitely long thick strip plate subjected to an impulsive load. The plate is simply supported along the edges and resting on an elastic foundation. The problem is studied on the basis of a plate theory in which the effects of rotatory inertias and shear deformations are retained. Governing equations are solved by applying the methods of the Laplace transform with respect to time and the Fourier transform with respect to a longitudinal space variable. Dynamic coefficients (maximum dynamic displacement/static displacement, maximum dynamic bending moment/static bending moment) are calculated numerically for plates subjected to a step line load and shown graphically for various values of the parameters included.  相似文献

A theoretical analysis is presented of the steady state response of a plate strip constrained elastically along its edges against rotation and translation under the action of a moving transverse line load. Within the classical plate theory the solutions are obtained by using Fourier and Laplace transformation methods with respect to space variables. Numerical results are given for a plate strip with both edges identically constrained and a normal line load of constant intensity travelling along the plate strip with a constant speed. The first five speeds of the applied load for which a resonance effect occurs in the system are plotted as functions of the edge constraint parameters. The profiles of the displacement and the moment of the plate are also shown graphically for several values of the load speed and the edge constraint parameters.  相似文献

The dynamical behaviour of a Kirchhoff plate under a moving pressure wave is investigated. The results are presented as dynamic amplification factors (DAF). The influence of the load parameters (propagation speed, pressure wave duration) and the plate parameters (slenderness, aspect ratio, damping, etc.) is discussed. Theoretical and experimental results are presented and discussed for the transverse driving point mechanical impedances, as well as for the transfer impedances, of damped composite plates made up of a thin viscoelastic layer sandwiched between two elastic layers. Analytical results are determined by finite element approximations. Due to the elements used and the system to be modeled, several fundamental assumptions or restrictions usually adopted in analytical investigations are removed. The dependence on frequency and temperature of the dynamic properties of the viscoelastic materials is taken into consideration. A companion experiment was conducted, for comparison purposes, on such damped composite plates suspended in air by lightweight elastic shock cords and driven at the center by an electromechanical vibration shaker. Good correlations between the test data and analytical solutions are obtained over a wide frequency range for two configurations.  相似文献

The local stress concentrations in sandwich beam with a plate insert under in-plane bending are concerned in the study. An improved six-step phase shifting method in digital photoelasticity is employed to calculate the whole-field shear stress.The shear load transfer is realized by shear bands which connect the top and bottom sheet faces through adhesively-bonded interfaces. The plate insert plays a role in load transfer in the sandwich structure, and the fact that debonding might occur at more sites of the interfaces may also leads to the failure of the structure. The local stress concentrations at the insert end change with the load under three-point bending loads, while they remain as the initial residual shear stress under four-point bending loads. The local stress concentration effects generated by the plate insert is essentially caused by the mismatch of elastic properties of the core materials and the irrational geometry of the insert.  相似文献

The dynamic stability problems of a sandwich plate with a constraining layer and an electrorheological (ER) fluid core subjected to an axial dynamic force are investigated. The rectangular plate is covered in an ER fluid core and a constraining layer to improve the stability of the system. Effects of the natural frequencies, static buckling loads, and loss factors on the dynamic stability behavior of the sandwich plate are studied in the paper. Rheological property of an ER material, such as viscosity, plasticity, and elasticity may be changed when applying an electric field. The modal damper and the natural frequencies for the sandwich plate are calculated for various electric fields. When an electric field is applied, the damping of the system is more effective. In this study, finite element method and the harmonic balance method are used to calculate the instability regions of the sandwich plate. The ER fluid core is found to have a significant effect on the dynamic stability regions.  相似文献

An easy-to-implement method to measure relevant elastic and damping properties of the constituents of a sandwich structure, possibly with a heterogeneous core, is proposed. The method makes use of a one-point dynamical measurement on a thick-plate. The hysteretic model for each (possibly orthotropic) constituent is written generically as “E(1+jη)” for all mechanical parameters. The estimation method of the parameters relies on a mixed experimental/numerical procedure. The frequencies and dampings of the natural modes of the plate are obtained from experimental impulse responses by means of a high-resolution modal analysis technique. This allows for considerably more experimental data to be used. Numerical modes (frequencies, dampings, and modal shapes) are computed by means of an extended Rayleigh-Ritz procedure under the “light damping” hypothesis, for given values of the mechanical parameters. Minimising the differences between the modal characteristics yields an estimation of the values of the mechanical parameters describing the hysteretic behaviour. A sensitivity analysis assesses the reliability of the method for each parameter. Validations of the method are proposed by (a) applying it to virtual plates on which a finite-element model replaces the experimental modal analysis, (b) some comparisons with results obtained by static mechanical measurements, and (c) by comparing the results on different plates made of the same sandwich material.  相似文献

The mean-square bending moment of a thick rectangular plate excited by a uniform distribution of stationary random forces that are uncorrelated in space is calculated. The plate has in-plane compressive or tensile stresses. In addition, the plate is mounted on an elastic foundation. Numerical results are given for plates with uniform initial stress when the temporal correlation function of the excitation possesses an exponential decay. In general it can be said that the position on the plate where the mean-square moment takes on a maximum value depends upon the relative values of the initial stress, the stiffness of the foundation and the aspect ratio of the plate. The mean-square response amplitude of the plate on a foundation never exceeds that of the plate without a foundation, regardless of the intensity of the initial stress or the geometrical configuration of the plate.  相似文献

An approximate method is presented for calculating the effective length of a flat heat pipe when a strip heater is partially covering the evaporator section. For a specific width of the strip heater, the optimal position to achieve a minimum effective length is found when the heater is placed symmetrically at the centre of the evaporator section. In this position, a higher value of the capillary heat transport limit can be achieved as compared to the case where the heater is placed on one side of the evaporator section.  相似文献

Abstract

The Lamb wave dispersion in a PZT/Metal/PZT sandwich plate is investigated by employing the exact linear equations of electro-elastic waves in piezoelectric materials within the scope of the plane-strain state. It is assumed that at the interfaces between the piezoelectric face layers and metal core layer, shear-spring and normal-spring type imperfect conditions are satisfied. The degree of this imperfectness is estimated through the corresponding shear-spring and normal-spring type parameters which appear in the contact condition characterizing the transverse and normal displacements’ discontinuity. The corresponding dispersion equation is derived, and as a result of the numerical solution to this equation, the dispersion curves are constructed for the first and second lowest modes in the cases where the material of the face layers is PZT and the material of the middle layer is Steel (St). Consequently, for the PZT/St/PZT sandwich plate, the study of the influence of the problem parameters such as the piezoelectric and dielectric constants, layer thickness ratios, non-dimensional shear-spring, and normal-spring type parameters, is carried out. In particular, it is established that the imperfectness of the contact between the layers of the plate causes a decrease in the values of the wave propagation velocity.  相似文献

Analysis is carried out for the case where a thick circular plate is subjected to impulsive load. The horizontal displacement u is assumed to be in the form of u = zu1 + znun, where n is an odd integer. The fundamental equations governing the displacement are introduced, with use of equilibrium conditions. The relationships between frequencies and R/h (radius/thickness) are obtained and they are compared with those given by Mindlin theory. For the case where the fundamental equation is introduced by the variational calculus, it is necessary to notice whether restrained conditions are satisfied or not.  相似文献

Non-linear equations of motion for a transversely isotropic moderately thick plate in a general state of non-uniform initial stress where the effects of transverse shear and rotary inertia are included are derived. The large amplitude flexural vibration of a simply supported rectangular moderately thick plate subjected to initial stress is investigated. The initial stress is taken to be a combination of a pure bending stress plus an extensional stress in the plane of the plate. These equations are used to solve the vibrations problem by the Galerkin method. The effects of various parameters on the non-linear vibration frequencies are studied.  相似文献

The dynamical Casimir-Polder force between a neutral atom (in the ground state) and a thick plate in relativistic motion of the atom in the direction parallel to the surface has been calculated. The material properties have been considered in the framework of the oscillator model of the atom and the Drude dielectric function for a plate. The limiting cases of the nonrelativistic velocity and perfectly conducting material of the plate have been discussed. A complex dependence of the force on the velocity (energy), the distance, and the material properties of the surface has been found.  相似文献

A multi-layer damper with waved plates under one-axial load is considered. A method of theoretical calculation of its energy dissipation coefficient is proposed. An experimental research of own frequencies and vibration transfer ratios for different parameters of damper structure, harmonic vibration load and random load is performed.
