Transformations in the space of almost convergent sequences

Under consideration is the space of almost convergent sequences as well as the operators acting on it. We prove that the space is invariant under the transformations of some class including, in particular, the Hardy and averaging operators.     

Tauberian conditions for almost convergence

In [Acta Math. 80(1948), 167–190], G. G. Lorentz characterized almost convergent sequences in (or in ) in terms of the concept of uniform convergence of the de la Vallée-Poussin means. In this paper, we present Tauberian results which relate almost convergence to norm convergence or to the (C, 1) convergence. Our results generalize Kronecker lemma. As a consequence, we prove that almost convergence and norm convergence are equivalent for the sequence of the partial sums of the Fourier series of (or ), where . We also show that our results can be used to derive Fatou’s theorem.      

Periodic and almost periodic solutions of conservation laws: Global existence and decay

In this paper we survey recent results on the decay of periodic and almost periodic solutions of conservation laws. We also recall some recent results on the global existence of periodic solutions of conservation laws systems which lie inBV _loc and are constructed through Glimm scheme. The latter motivates a discussion on a possible strategy for solving the open problem of the global existence of periodic solutions of the Euler equations for nonisentropic gas dynamics. We base our decay analysis on a general result about space-time functions which are almost periodic in the space variable, established here for the first time. This result is an abstract version of Theorem 2.1 in [31], which in turn is an extention of the combined result given by Theorems 3.1–3.2 in [9].

一个高精度收敛的变系数微分方程精确解析法*

文[1]给出精确解析法,可用于求解任意变系数微分方程,所得到的解具有二阶收敛精度.在此基础上,本文以变截面梁弯曲为例,给出一个高精度的算法.不增加工作量的情况下可达到四阶收敛精度.具有计算快,简单等特点,文末给出算例,仅用很少的单元即可获得高的收敛精度,表明了本文理论的正确性.     

一个结构简单的约束变尺度算法

本文我们考虑具有线性约束凹函数的最优化问题，利用我们的算法和变尺度修正公式，提出了一个结构简单的组合算法，并在「２」，「３」和「４」同样的假设条件下，证明了该算法的收敛性和超线性收敛速度，从而使该算法比原有各算法更具实用性。     

Vector-valued pseudo almost periodic functions

Vector-valued pseudo almost periodic functions are defined and their properties are investigated. The vector-valued functions contain many known functions as special cases. A unique decomposition theorem is given to show that a vector-valued pseudo almost periodic function is a sum of an almost periodic function and an ergodic perturbation.     

Pseudo almost periodic solutions for the systems of differential equations with piecewise constant argument [<Emphasis Type="Italic">t</Emphasis> + 1/2]

In this paper we investigate the existence and uniqueness of pseudo almost periodic solutions and unboundedness of other solutions for the systems of differential equations with piecewise constant argument [t + 1/2] by means of new notion of pseudo almost periodic vector sequences. The case in which the characteristic equation has multiple roots is considered.

Summation of almost convergent divergent sequences,topological methods

In this paper we give a characterization of the conservative matrices that sum only those divergent sequences which are not almost convergent. Such conditions are similar to those which are necessary and sufficient for a conservative matrix to sum no bounded divergent sequence (Agnew [1], Mazur-Orlicz [4], Wilansky-Zeller [6], and Zeller [7]). There are, however, some differences showing, that the results mentioned above cannot be transmitted without any restriction. Parts of this paper have been already developed by the author more detailed in [5].

The paper presents simple proofs of the Cauchy-Schwartz inequality and the negative discriminant property in archimedean almost f-algebras[5], based on a sequence approximation.     

On almost rc-Lindelöf sets

In [4], Dlaska introduced the class of almost rc-Lindelöf sets and studied some basic properties of such sets. In this paper, we obtain further results concerning almost rc-Lindelöf sets. We also introduce new concepts to obtain several mapping properties concerning almost rc-Lindelöf sets and almost rc-Lindelöf spaces. The property of being an almost rc-Lindelöf set is invariant under functions which are slightly continuous and weakly θ-irresolute. It is also shown that the property of being an almost rc-Lindelöf space is inverse invariant under functions which are weakly almost open, ω-regular open, and whose fibers are S-sets.     

Some Limit Theorems for Weighted Sums of Arrays of Nod Random Variables

In this paper the authors study the complete, weak and almost sure convergence for weighted sums of NOD random variables and obtain some new limit theorems for weighted sums of NOD random variables, which extend the corresponding theorems of Stout [1], Thrum [2] and Hu et al. [3].     

An everywhere convergent series representation of the distribution of Hotelling's generalized T0

A new series representation of the exact distribution of Hotelling's generalized T₀² statistic is obtained. Unlike earlier work, the series representation given here is everywhere convergent. Explicit formulae are given for both the null and the non-central distributions. Earlier results by [1], 215–225), which are convergent on the interval [0, 1), are also derived quite simply from our formulae. The paper therefore provides a solution to the long standing problem of the exact distribution of the T₀² statistic in the general case.

Pseudo almost periodic solutions of infinite class for some functional differential equations

The aim of this work is to investigate the existence and uniqueness of pseudo almost periodic solutions for some neutral partial functional differential equations in a Banach space when the delay is distributed using the variation of constants formula and the spectral decomposition of the phase space developed in Adimy et al. [M. Adimy, K. Ezzinbi, and A. Ouhinou, Variation of constants formula and almost periodic solutions for some partial functional differential equations with infinite delay, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 317(2) (2006), pp. 668–689]. Here, we assume that the undelayed part is not necessarily densely defined and satisfies the well-known Hille–Yosida condition, the delayed part is assumed to be pseudo almost periodic with respect to the first argument and Lipschitz continuous with respect to the second argument.     

Weighted pseudo almost automorphic functions and WPAA solutions to semilinear evolution equations

In this paper, we reveal several basic properties about nonlinear vector-valued weighted pseudo almost automorphic functions, including equivalence, completeness, translation invariance, composition theorem, and convolution theorem of these functions. We also give some concrete examples to illustrate our results. Finally, we obtain a new existence theorem of nonlinear weighted pseudo almost automorphic solutions for semilinear evolution equations in Banach spaces.
