A property never considered before in acoustics is established: in the case of a sound wave incidence on a plane layer bordered by two liquid media with identical elastic properties, the phase difference between the reflected and transmitted waves is equal to π/2 irrespective of the physical constants of the layer and the media contacting it, as well as of the frequency of the incident wave.  相似文献

The propagation of a nonlinear phase-conjugate ultrasonic wave through a layer introducing random phase aberrations is studied experimentally. The wave is generated by an overthreshold parametric phase-conjugating ultrasonic amplifier. It is shown that, with the extent of nonlinearity achieved for the conjugate wave, the phase locking of harmonics is retained and, as a consequence, a compensation of the distortions introduced by the layer takes place. The possibility of an automatic focusing of a nonlinear phase-conjugate wave propagating in an inhomogeneous medium is demonstrated, which is important for practical applications.  相似文献

An exact analysis is carried out to study interaction of a time-harmonic plane progressive sound field with a radially inhomogeneous thick-walled elastic isotropic spherical shell suspended in and filled with compressible ideal fluid mediums. Using the laminated approximation method, a modal state equation with variable coefficients is set up in terms of appropriate displacement and stress functions and their spherical harmonics. Taylor’s expansion theorem is then employed to obtain the solution to the modal state equation ultimately leading to calculation of a global transfer matrix. Numerical example is given for a water-submerged/air-filled Aluminum/Zirconia elastic spherical sandwich shell containing a functionally graded interlayer and subjected to an incident progressive plane sound wave. The mechanical properties of the interlayer are assumed to vary smoothly and continuously across the thickness with the change of volume concentration of its constituents. The effect of incident wave frequency, thickness and compositional gradient of the interlayer on the form function amplitude and the average radiation force acting on the composite shell are examined. Limiting cases are considered and fair agreements with well-known solutions are established.  相似文献

采用有限元法和边界元法计算研究了平面声波由空气经加肋板向水中的声传输。数值计算表明:板的刚度对声传输的影响只有在板的刚度较大时才是重要的,当板的刚度较小时,空气和水之间的声阻抗失配对声传输起支配作用;板厚或肋骨惯性矩的变化会引起结构传声损失曲线上隔声低谷位置的变化;增大板厚或肋骨惯性矩可增大结构的传声损失,特别是当激励频率低于结构基频时,可通过增大板厚或肋骨惯性矩来增大结构刚度进而明显增大结构的传声损失。  相似文献

The effect of temperature on sound velocity, absorption, and reflection coefficient in the seabed sediment layer is investigated. Experimental measurements of sound speed, absorption, and the reflection coefficient in a sandy sediment layer have been carried out at several temperatures. An absorption reduction of 75 dB/m and a velocity increase of 65 m/s have been measured at a frequency of 1 MHz when the temperature increases from 5 to 25 degrees C. Because of the absorption temperature dependence the amplitude of the reflected wave from the back surface of the sub-bottom layer after going back and forth across the layer increases with the temperature.  相似文献

We derive analytical expressions containing a hypergeometric function to describe the Fresnel and Fraunhofer diffraction of a plane wave of circular and ringlike cross section by a spiral phase plate (SPP) of an arbitrary integer order. Experimental diffraction patterns generated by an SPP fabricated in resist through direct e-beam writing are in good agreement with the theoretical intensity distribution.  相似文献

The paper reflects the recent experimental results on the elaboration and study of active materials for magneto-acoustic phase conjugators (MAPCs). The results of complex measurements of MAPC parameters are demonstrated on typical samples of NiFe2O4 magnetostrictive ceramics. The mechanism of strong dispersion of gain increments and output power of MAPCs is studied and explained by dispersion of critical values of the parametric modulation depth of sound velocity. A maximum output power 240 W at frequency 5 MHz is obtained for active element MAPC with critical current Ic = 9 A and electrical Q-factor equal to 80.  相似文献

The matrix method and its numerical realization are considered in calculating the complex reflection coefficients and refraction indices of plane sound waves for geoacoustic models of the ocean bottom in the form of homogeneous elastic (liquid) absorbing layers overlying an elastic halfspace. In calculating the reflection coefficients at high frequencies or in the presence of a large numbers of sedimentary layers, a passage from the Thomson-Haskell matrix approach to the Dunkin-Thrower computational scheme is performed. The results of test calculations are presented. With the aim of developing resonance methods for the reconstruction of the parameters of layered elastic media, the behavior of the frequency-angular dependences of the reflection coefficient are studied for various geoacoustic bottom models. The structure of the angular and frequency resonances of the reflection coefficients is revealed. The dependence of the structure (the position, width, and amplitude) of two types of resonances on the parameters of the layered bottom is considered.  相似文献

This paper examines the sound insulation of a single-leaf wall driven by a spherical wave. The transmitted sound field of an infinite elastic plate under a spherical wave incidence is theoretically analyzed and insulation mechanisms are considered. The displacement of the plate is formulated using the Hankel transform in wavenumber space and the transmitted sound pressure in the far-field is obtained by Rayleigh’s formula in an explicit closed form. Moreover, a reduction index is also derived in a closed form by introducing an approximation into the vibration characteristics of the plate. Deterioration of the insulation performance under the spherical wave incidence is caused by an apparent decrease of wall impedance that depends on the directivity of the transmitted sound wave. The mass law for a spherical wave incidence is different from that for a normal plane wave incidence: doubling the weight of the wall or the frequency gives an increase of 3 dB (c.f. 6 dB for a normal plane wave incidence), which is also smaller than the field incidence mass law.  相似文献

Tractable analytic expressions are developed for a variety of basic statistical quantities involving a Gaussian-beam wave propagating through a random medium confined to a portion of the propagation path between input and output planes, the limiting case of which defines a thin random phase screen. For a plane wave incident on a phase screen located midway between input and output planes, it is well known that the statistics in the receiver plane are in close agreement with those associated with a plane wave propagating through an extended random medium between input and output planes. For a similar comparison between a phase screen and extended turbulence in the case of a Gaussian-beam wave at the input plane, the present analysis reveals that the phase screen must be positioned between input and output planes differently from the plane-wave case, the position being dependent upon the Fresnel ratio of the Gaussian beam. The analytic results developed in this paper for the thin phase screen model are based on the Kolmogorov power-law spectrum for refractive-index fluctuations and the Rytov approximation. Extension of these results to multiple phase screens is also discussed.  相似文献

One-sided approximate impedance-type boundary conditions for a thin chiral layer placed on a perfectly conducting plane are derived. With these conditions, the problem of incidence of a plane electromagnetic wave on a chiral structure is solved. Approximate formulas for the coefficients of reflection of the fundamental and depolarized components are derived for the case of the perpendicular polarization of the electromagnetic wave (the electric field strength is normal to the plane of incidence). A comparison with an exact solution to the problem of diffraction by this chiral structure is made.  相似文献

An analysis of the transmission of a transient electromagnetic plane wave through a grating formed by an infinite array of circular cylinders is presented. Emphasis is placed on the transient shielding characteristics of the grating for various cylinder spacings and angles of incidence. The transient results are obtained by first obtaining analytical experssions for the fields in the frequency domain and then performing a numerical inverse Fourier transformation. Some physical interpretations of the shielding effectiveness of the grating are given.  相似文献

A theoretical model is proposed for describing the drift of a 180° domain wall in a weak ferromagnet in the field of elastic stresses produced by a strong sound wave propagating in the plane of the wall. The dependence of the drift velocity on the frequency, amplitude, and polarization of the sound wave is found. It is predicted that drift of a striped domain structure is possible.  相似文献
