In this paper we establish some new sufficient conditions on the existence of homoclinic solutions for a class of second-order Hamiltonian systems without a coercive potential. The proof is based on a new critical point theorem in combination with periodic approximation.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the existence of periodic solutions for classical Hamiltonian systems without the Palais-Smale condition. We prove that the information of the potential function contained in a finite domain is sufficient for the existence of periodic solutions. Using the theory of existence of periodic solutions of Hamiltonian systems, it is shown that many periodic solutions of differential delay equations can be yielded from many families of periodic solutions of the coupled generalized Hamiltonian systems. Some sufficient conditions on the existence of periodic solutions of differential delay equations are obtained. As a corollary of our results, the conjecture of Kaplan-Yorke on the search for periodic solutions for certain special classes of scalar differential delay equations is shown to be true when . A long waves-short waves model is studied by using the approach of dynamical systems. The sufficient conditions to guarantee the existence of solitary wave, kink and anti-kink waves, and periodic wave in different regions of the parametric space are given. All possible explicit exact parametric representations of above traveling waves are presented. When the energy of Hamiltonian system corresponding to this model varies, we also show the convergence of the periodic wave solutions, such as the periodic wave solutions converge to the solitary wave solutions, kink and anti-kink wave solutions, and periodic wave solutions, respectively.  相似文献
