For the first time, the line reversed reactions π+p→K+Σ+and K?p→π?Σ+ have been studied in the same apparatus. We present the differential cross sections and polarizations over a large t range and at two momenta, 7.0 and 10.1 GeV/c. The differential cross sections as a function of t are shown for the first time to cross over. Going from the lower to the higher momentum, the differences in cross section between the two reactions diminish at low |t| by about a factor 2. We find large polarizations of opposite sign for the two reactions. The momentum dependence, presented in the form of αeff(t) for the t range 0 to ?2 (GeV/c)2, is compared with the expectations from the K1?K7 trajectory.  相似文献

In the present work, we develop a calculational method of solving the scattering equations for spherically symmetric potentials by expanding the solutions on Coulomb functions. We utilize a multistep integration scheme together with the standard partial wave analysis in a region where the potential term dominates. The method applies to any physical problem expressed as [? 2 + V(r) + k 2]ψ(r) = 0, while the extension of the method to more general scattering problems is briefly discussed. At present, we demonstrate a two-step Coulomb-fitted integration scheme by calculating the short-range scattering phase shifts for various potentials V (r).  相似文献

The unitary pole approximation (UPA) has been shown to be quite accurate for a central attractive potential with a soft core, such as the Reid singlet potential. We examine its accuracy for the Reid triplet soft-core potential, which includes tensor and spin-orbit forces. We compare UPA values for the t-matrix tLL(p, k; s) with Haftel's numerical values. Here L and L′ are angular momenta, either 0 or 2. The momenta are p and k, and we emphasize negative energy s. We find that the UPA fits Haftel's values for t00 about as well as the UPA fits for the Reid singlet. The UPA is less successful for t02 and t22, but in general it fits Haftel's values better than does the Yamaguchi t-matrix.  相似文献

Non-degenerate four-wave mixing using two non-collinear laser beams with frequencies (wavevectors) ωp, ωt (kp, kt) respectively is studied in CuCl. Two emission lines at frequencies ω(1)=2ωtp, and ω(2)=2ωpt are observed. Their excitation spectrum is sharply peaked if the phase-match condition k(1)=2kt-kp is fulfilled. This is the case, if ωp coincides with the hyper-Raman lines (R+T, R-T) of the laser labelled (t) in a well-defined geometrical configuration.  相似文献

Differential cross sections for π?p and pp elastic scattering have been measured at incident momenta ranging from 30 to 345 GeV and in the t range 0.002 (GeV/c)2 ? |t| ? 0.04 (GeV/c)2. From the analysis of the data, the ratio ? (t = 0) of the real to the imaginary parts of the forward scattering amplitude was determined together with the logarithmic slope b of the diffraction cone.The results on the real parts confirm the validity of the forward dispersion relations at high energies. Using the dispersion relations, it was shown that the experimental data on ?π?p(t = 0) require a continuous rise of the total πp cross sections, at least up to the energy of 2000 GeV, thus revealing a close similarity in high-energy behaviour of πp and pp interactions.The results on the slope parameters from this experiment together with the analysis of the available world data demonstrate that the existing experimental data are consistent with the hypothesis of a universal shrinkage of the hadronic diffraction cone at high energies. The value of the asymptotic shrinkage parameter αp was found to be independent of the kind of the incident hadron and of the momentum transfer in the t range |t| ? 0.2 (GeV/c)2 : 2αp = ± 3 (GeV/c)?2.  相似文献

Threshold π+ electroproduction has been measured at momentum transfers 6k26 of 0.45, 0.58 and 0.88 (GeV/c)2, extending the range of earlier measurements. Using PCAC and current algebra-based models we have deduced the axial vector form factor of the nucleon GA(k2), and find that the dipole parametrisation is favoured over the monopole. The value of MA in the dipole parametrisation is, in a weak PCAC model, 0.96 ± 0.03 GeV, in excellent agreement with neutrino measurements. The threshold cross section is also in excellent agreement with the predictions of a fixed-t dispersion relation model.  相似文献

The protonic transference number (tH+) of KH2PO4 has been determined at 293 K as a function of hydrogen partial pressure (1>pH2(atm)>10-3) using EMF measurements. The results are consistent with earlier work which indicated that tH+ is essentially unity (>0.97) for this material under the relevant experimental conditions.  相似文献

The four-body reaction K+p→K+π-Δ++ is analysed in a sample of 77 300 bubble chamber events of K+p→K+π-π+p for beam momenta from 2.5 to 12.6 GeV/c to study the K+π- elastic scattering cross section. The relative merits of several analytic continuations to the pion pole are discussed. Maximum likelihood method is used and, for each experiment fits are performed simultaneously over the whole range of the M(pπ+), m(K+π-) and t variables. The K+π- cross section is parametrized in terms of the down solution for the s-wave, a p-wave resonating at the K1(890) and a d-wave resonating at the K1(1420). Fitted values are obtained for the four-body cross section, the s-wave contribution to the K+π- cross section, and the masses and widths of the K1(890) and K1(1420).  相似文献

The ν6 band of 13CH3I and the ν6 band of 12CH2DI have been recorded under Doppler-limited resolution in the region 820–866 cm?1 using a tunable diode laser spectrometer. For 13CH3I the constants for the ν6 band were determined by simultaneous analysis of seven pQ(J,K) branches and several pP(J,K) and pR(J,K) transitions. For 12CH2DI, the slight asymmetry introduced by the single D atom gives rise to noticeable asymmetry effects in the spectra of some of the pQ(J,K) subbands. From the analysis of six such subbands, the molecular constants for the ν6 level were determined.  相似文献

For the spacelike momenta k of the virtual photon γ, the π0(p)γ(k)γ(k) transition form factor is considered in the coupled Schwinger–Dyson and Bethe-Salpeter approach in conjunction with the generalized impulse approximation using the dressed quark–photon–quark vertices of the Ball–Chiu and Curtis-Pennington type. These form factors are compared with the ones predicted by the vector meson dominance, operator product expansion, QCD sum rules, and the perturbative QCD for the large spacelike transferred momenta k. The most important qualitative feature of the asymptotic behavior, namely the 1/k2 dependence, is in our approach obtained in the model-independent way. Again model-independently, our approach reproduces also the Adler–Bell–Jackiw anomaly result for the limit of both photons being real. For the case of one highly virtual photon, we find in the closed form the asymptotic expression which is then easily generalized both to the case of other unflavored pseudoscalar mesons P0=π0,η8,η0,ηc,ηb, and to the case of arbitrary virtuality of the other photon.  相似文献

The transition operator T for the scattering of a particle from N potentials Vj(x) can be expanded into a series featuring the transition operators tj associated with the individual potentials. For Vj(x) both absolutely and square integrable in x, we show, using an analytic continuation argument, that if T is on-shell, i.e. in 〈k|T(k02±i0)|k′〉, |k| = |k′| = k0, then each tj is also on-shell.  相似文献

Analysis of spectroscopic factors obtained in single-nucleon transfer reactions leading to and from 18O yields two different sets of wave functions for the first three O+ states. One set of wave functions is in agreement with 16O(t, p)18O data for the three states-the other set is not. The wave functions that agree with the experimental data have the majority of the (s12)2 strength in the third O+ state.  相似文献

The vibration-rotation spectrum of the ν6 fundamental of methyl iodide has been recorded in the 824 to 862 cm?1 region by using a tunable semiconductor diode laser spectrometer. The rotational analysis performed for six Q branches pQ(J,3), pQ(J,4), pQ(J,5), pQ(J,6), pQ(J,7), and qQ(J,8) led to accurate values for several molecular constants. The nuclear quadrupole splitting arising from the spin of iodine has been observed very clearly in the low J transitions and for various K values.  相似文献

The t(p,p)t and t(p,d)d channels have been investigated in an indirect way through the 2H(t,tp)n and 2H(t,dd)n three-body reactions performed at E t = 35.5?MeV in quasi-free kinematics. The agreement with direct data supports the pole approximation at energies above the Coulomb barrier.  相似文献

The heat capacity of the layer compound, tetrachlorobis (methylammonium) manganese II, (CH3NH3)2MnCl4, has been measured over the range 10K <T<300K. In this region, two structural phase transitions have been observed previously by other techniques: one transition is from a monoclinic low temperature (MLT) phase to a tetragonal low temperature (TLT) phase, and the other is from TLT to an orthorhombic room temperature (ORT) phase. The present experiments have shown that the lower transition (MLT→TLT) occurs at T = 94.37±0.05K with ΔHt = 727±5 J mol?1 and ΔSt = 7.76±0.05 J K?1 mol?1, and the upper transition (TLT→ORT) takes place at T = 257.02±0.07K with ΔHt = 116±1J mol?1 and ΔSt = 0.451±0.004 J K?1mol?1. These results are discussed in the light of recent measurements on (CH3NH3)2CdCl4, and also with regard to a recent theoretical model of the structural phase transitions in compounds of this type.In addition to the structural phase transitions, (CH3NH3)2MnCl4 also undergoes magnetic ordering at T < 150K. The magnetic component to the heat capacity, as deduced from a corresponding states comparison of the heat capacity of the present compound with that of the Cd compound, is shown to be consistent with the behaviour expected for a quasi 2-dimensional Heisenberg antiferromagnet.  相似文献

The S-wave potential in momentum space, V0(p, p′), corresponding to a local two-body central short-range potential may be expanded in separable form with the help of suitable quadrature formulae. With a two-term separable expansion for a variety of nuclear potentials, the resulting t-matrix is found to be in close agreement with the corresponding result with a six-term expansion for small values of p and p′ which are important in the calculation of the trinucleon binding energy.  相似文献

It is shown that the assumption of pole vector-meson dominance for the Ball invariant amplitude having a π-meson pole is sufficient for reproducing the longitudinal amplitude of ?0-production by the photoproduction amplitude at |t| < 0.1 (GeV/c)2. The strong k2-dependence of the Ball invariant amplitude without the π-meson pole has been found by the deviations of theoretical predictions obtained in the VDM framework for the longitudinal ?0-production amplitude from the experimental data in the region |t| > 0.1 (GeV/c)2. A natural explanation of the k2-dependence in the one-pion exchange model with absorption is given. The problem of A2-exchange is discussed.  相似文献

Azimuthal distributions between all possible particle pairs are studied in the reaction K+p → K+p2(π+π?) at 16 GeV/c. It is shown that the hypothesis of uncorrelated transverse momenta at fixed rapidities of the final-state particles, is sufficient to describe the main features of the data. An interesting exception occurs for identical particle pairs where a genuine short-range correlation, attributed to Bose-Einstein symmetrization, is observed. The correlation length of this effect is shown to be related to the impact parameter distribution of the produced pions.  相似文献

The 6,7Li(γ,p) reactions have been investigated for Eγ = 60 MeV. Excitation of residual (1p)?1 and (1s)?1 hole states is evident from the proton spectra measured at ?p = 45°. The data are compared with a theoretical calculation which includes short-range correlations.  相似文献

The momenta of ~30 000 charged particles from K+ decays were measured using a magnetic spectrometer with streamer chambers. The ratio R = Γ(Kπ2+)/Γ(Kμ2+) = 0.3355 ± 0.0057 was obtained. Our values for the branching ratios are: (63.18±0.43)% for Kμ2+, (21.18±0.33)% for Kπ2+, (3.33±0.51)% for Kμ3+, (4.99±0.54)% for Ke3+.  相似文献
