In this paper, a collocation method is presented to find the approximate solution of high‐order linear complex differential equations in rectangular domain. By using collocation points defined in a rectangular domain and the Bessel polynomials, this method transforms the linear complex differential equations into a matrix equation. The matrix equation corresponds to a system of linear equations with the unknown Bessel coefficients. The proposed method gives the analytic solution when the exact solutions are polynomials. Numerical examples are included to demonstrate the validity and applicability of the technique and the comparisons are made with existing results. The results show the efficiency and accuracy of the present work. All of the numerical computations have been performed on a computer using a program written in MATLAB v7.6.0 (R2008a). In this paper, we present a collocation method to obtain the approximate solutions of continuous population models for single and interacting species. By using the Bessel polynomials and collocation points, this method transforms population model into a matrix equation. The matrix equation corresponds to a system of nonlinear equations with the unknown Bessel coefficients. The reliability and efficiency of the proposed scheme are demonstrated by two numerical examples and performed on the computer algebraic system Maple.  相似文献

In this study, we will obtain the approximate solutions of the HIV infection model of CD4+T by developing the Bessel collocation method. This model corresponds to a class of nonlinear ordinary differential equation systems. Proposed scheme consists of reducing the problem to a nonlinear algebraic equation system by expanding the approximate solutions by means of the Bessel polynomials with unknown coefficients. The unknown coefficients of the Bessel polynomials are computed using the matrix operations of derivatives together with the collocation method. The reliability and efficiency of the proposed approach are demonstrated in the different time intervals by a numerical example. All computations have been made with the aid of a computer code written in Maple 9.  相似文献

In this article, a numerical technique is presented for the approximate solution of the Bagley–Torvik equation, which is a class of fractional differential equations. The basic idea of this method is to obtain the approximate solution in a generalized form of the Bessel functions of the first kind. For this purpose, by using the collocation points, the matrix operations and a generalization of the Bessel functions of the first kind, this technique transforms the Bagley–Torvik equation into a system of the linear algebraic equations. Hence, by solving this system, the unknown Bessel coefficients are computed. The reliability and efficiency of the proposed scheme are demonstrated by some numerical examples. This paper presents a numerical scheme for approximate solutions of the fractional Volterra’s model for population growth of a species in a closed system. In fact, the Bessel collocation method is extended by using the time-fractional derivative in the Caputo sense to give solutions for the mentioned model problem. In this extended of the method, a generalization of the Bessel functions of the first kind is used and its matrix form is constructed. And then, the matrix form based on the collocation points is formed for the each term of this model problem. Hence, the method converts the model problem into a system of nonlinear algebraic equations. We give some numerical applications to show efficiency and accuracy of the method. In applications, the reliability of the technique is demonstrated by the error function based on accuracy of the approximate solution.  相似文献

This article is concerned with a generalization of a functional differential equation known as the pantograph equation which contains a linear functional argument. In this article, we introduce a collocation method based on the Bessel polynomials for the approximate solution of the pantograph equations. The method is illustrated by studying the initial value problems. The results obtained are compared by the known results. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In this paper, a collocation method is given to solve singularly perturbated two‐point boundary value problems. By using the collocation points, matrix operations and the matrix relations of the Bessel functions of the first kind and their derivatives, the boundary value problem is converted to a system of the matrix equations. By solving this system, the approximate solution is obtained. Also, an error problem is constructed by the residual function, and it is solved by the presented method. Thus, the error function is estimated, and the approximate solutions are improved. Finally, numerical examples are given to show the applicability of the method, and also, our results are compared by existing results. Copyright © 2014 JohnWiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this paper, a collocation method based on the Bessel polynomials is presented for the approximate solution of a class of the nonlinear Lane–Emden type equations, which have many applications in mathematical physics. The exact solution can be obtained if the exact solution is polynomial. In other cases, such as an increasing number of nodes, a good approximation can be obtained with applicable errors. In addition, the method is presented with error and stability analysis. The numerical results show the effectiveness of the method for this type of equations. Comparing the methodology with some known techniques shows that the present approach is relatively easy and highly accurate. Copyright © 2011 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this article, a new numerical approach has been proposed for solving a class of delay time-fractional partial differential equations. The approximate solutions of these equations are considered as linear combinations of Müntz–Legendre polynomials with unknown coefficients. Operational matrix of fractional differentiation is provided to accelerate computations of the proposed method. Using Padé approximation and two-sided Laplace transformations, the mentioned delay fractional partial differential equations will be transformed to a sequence of fractional partial differential equations without delay. The localization process is based on the space-time collocation in some appropriate points to reduce the fractional partial differential equations into the associated system of algebraic equations which can be solved by some robust iterative solvers. Some numerical examples are also given to confirm the accuracy of the presented numerical scheme. Our results approved decisive preference of the Müntz–Legendre polynomials with respect to the Legendre polynomials.  相似文献

In this paper, the model of an electromechanical system, which is a system of linear differential equations, is studied. Haar wavelet collocation method (HWCM) is applied for finding the approximate solution of the model. HWCM reduces the system of the model into a matrix‐vector form that contains the unknown Haar coefficients, and these coefficients are easily calculated. To demonstrate the validity and applicability of HWCM, numerical solutions of the system for different parameter values in the system are presented. The obtained results demonstrate the efficiency and accuracy of the method. All of the computations are performed via a program written in Mathematica.  相似文献

In this study, a Hermite matrix method is presented to solve high‐order linear Fredholm integro‐differential equations with variable coefficients under the mixed conditions in terms of the Hermite polynomials. The proposed method converts the equation and its conditions to matrix equations, which correspond to a system of linear algebraic equations with unknown Hermite coefficients, by means of collocation points on a finite interval. Then, by solving the matrix equation, the Hermite coefficients and the polynomial approach are obtained. Also, examples that illustrate the pertinent features of the method are presented; the accuracy of the solutions and the error analysis are performed. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. This paper presents an exponential matrix method for the solutions of systems of high‐order linear differential equations with variable coefficients. The problem is considered with the mixed conditions. On the basis of the method, the matrix forms of exponential functions and their derivatives are constructed, and then by substituting the collocation points into the matrix forms, the fundamental matrix equation is formed. This matrix equation corresponds to a system of linear algebraic equations. By solving this system, the unknown coefficients are determined and thus the approximate solutions are obtained. Also, an error estimation based on the residual functions is presented for the method. The approximate solutions are improved by using this error estimation. To demonstrate the efficiency of the method, some numerical examples are given and the comparisons are made with the results of other methods. Copyright © 2012 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This paper deals with the numerical solution of classes of fractional convection–diffusion equations with variable coefficients. The fractional derivatives are described based on the Caputo sense. Our approach is based on the collocation techniques. The method consists of reducing the problem to the solution of linear algebraic equations by expanding the required approximate solution as the elements of shifted Legendre polynomials in time and the Sinc functions in space with unknown coefficients. The properties of Sinc functions and shifted Legendre polynomials are then utilized to evaluate the unknown coefficients. Several examples are given and the numerical results are shown to demonstrate the efficiency of the newly proposed method.  相似文献

In this paper, the Legendre spectral collocation method (LSCM) is applied for the solution of the fractional Bratu's equation. It shows the high accuracy and low computational cost of the LSCM compared with some other numerical methods. The fractional Bratu differential equation is transformed into a nonlinear system of algebraic equations for the unknown Legendre coefficients and solved with some spectral collocation methods. Some illustrative examples are also given to show the validity and applicability of this method, and the obtained results are compared with the existing studies to highlight its high efficiency and neglectable error.  相似文献

In this paper, a shifted Jacobi–Gauss collocation spectral algorithm is developed for solving numerically systems of high‐order linear retarded and advanced differential–difference equations with variable coefficients subject to mixed initial conditions. The spatial collocation approximation is based upon the use of shifted Jacobi–Gauss interpolation nodes as collocation nodes. The system of differential–difference equations is reduced to a system of algebraic equations in the unknown expansion coefficients of the sought‐for spectral approximations. The convergence is discussed graphically. The proposed method has an exponential convergence rate. The validity and effectiveness of the method are demonstrated by solving several numerical examples. Numerical examples are presented in the form of tables and graphs to make comparisons with the results obtained by other methods and with the exact solutions more easier. In this study, an approximate method based on Bernoulli polynomials and collocation points has been presented to obtain the solution of higher order linear Fredholm integro-differential-difference equations with the mixed conditions. The method we have used consists of reducing the problem to a matrix equation which corresponds to a system of linear algebraic equations. The obtained matrix equation is based on the matrix forms of Bernoulli polynomials and their derivatives by means of collocations. The solutions are obtained as the truncated Bernoulli series which are defined in the interval [a,b]. To illustrate the method, it is applied to the initial and boundary values. Also error analysis and numerical examples are included to demonstrate the validity and applicability of the technique.  相似文献

In this paper, we propose a new approach based on conjunction of the orthogonal collocation on finite elements method with decoupling and quasi-linearization technique to approximate solutions of a set of nonlinear split boundary value problems. The numerical stability, the convergence and the accuracy of the results are checked by this algorithm. The approach developed in this study is illustrated by some numerical examples. These examples are solved using a special software package which implements the proposed algorithms.  相似文献
