A system of equations and inequalities that allows one to determine the constraints on central density ρ c and the chemical composition, which is governed by parameter μ e , of the white dwarf RX J0648.0- 4418 with a record short period of rotation T = 13.18s and mass m = (1.28 ± 0.05)m⊙, has been derived. The analysis of numerical solutions of this system reveal a complex dependence of μ e on ρ c . The intervals of variation of μ e and ρ c are as follows: 1.09 ≤ μ e ≤ 1.21 and 9.04 ≤ μ e 0 ≤ 1030 = 0.98 × 106 g/cm3). This range of μ e values suggests that the white dwarf RX J0648.0-4418 is not made of pure hydrogen and should contain 9–21% of heavy elements. Calculations have been performed with the equation of state of an ideal degenerate electron gas. Approximate analytic expressions (with an accuracy of 10-3) for the minimum period T min and mass m of the white dwarf are obtained. It is demonstrated that the white-dwarf mass is almost doubled (compared to the case of no rotation at a fixed central density) as period T approaches T min.  相似文献

Samples of a superconducting indium nanocomposite based on a thin-film porous dielectric matrix prepared by the Langmuir–Blodgett method are obtained for the first time, and their low-temperature electrophysical and magnetic properties are studied. Films with thickness b ≤ 5 μm were made from silicon dioxide spheres with diameter D = 200 and 250 nm; indium was introduced into the pores of the films from the melt at a pressure of P ≤ 5 kbar. Thus, a three-dimensional weakly ordered structure of indium nanogranules was created in the pores, forming a continuous current-conducting grid. Measurements of the temperature and magnetic field dependences of the resistance and magnetic moment of the samples showed an increase in the critical parameters of the superconductivity state of nanostructured indium (critical temperature Tc ≤ 3.62 K and critical magnetic field Hc at T = 0 K Hc(0) ≤ 1700 Oe) with respect to the massive material (Tc = 3.41 K, Hc(0) = 280 Oe). In the dependence of the resistance on temperature and the magnetic field, a step transition to the superconductivity state associated with the nanocomposite structure was observed. A pronounced hysteresis M(H) is observed in the dependence of the magnetic moment M of the nanocomposite on the magnetic field at T < Tc, caused by the multiply connected structure of the current-conducting indium grid. The results obtained are interpreted taking into account the dimensional dependence of the superconducting characteristics of the nanocomposite.  相似文献

Phonon thermal conductivities κ22 (?TC1) and κ33 (? TC3) of tellurium-doped bismuth with an electron concentration in the range 1.8 × 1019nL ≤ 1.4 × 1020 cm?3 were studied in the temperature interval 2 < T < 300 K. The temperature dependence of the phonon thermal conductivity obtained on doped bismuth samples of both orientations exhibits two maxima, one at a low temperature and the other at a high temperature. The effect of various phonon relaxation mechanisms on the dependence of both phonon thermal conductivity maxima on temperature, impurity concentration, and electron density is studied.  相似文献

The atomic dynamics of the binary Al100–xCux system is simulated at a temperature T = 973 K, a pressure p = 1.0 bar, and various copper concentrations x. These conditions (temperature, pressure) make it possible to cover the equilibrium liquid Al100–xCux phase at copper concentrations 0 ≤ x ≤ 40% and the supercooled melt in the concentration range 40% ≤ x ≤ 100%. The calculated spectral densities of the time correlation functions of the longitudinal \({\tilde C_L}\)(k, ω) and transverse \({\tilde C_T}\)(k, ω) currents in the Al100–xCux melt at a temperature T = 973 K reveal propagating collective excitations of longitudinal and transverse polarizations in a wide wavenumber range. It is shown that the maximum sound velocity in the vL(x) concentration dependence takes place for the equilibrium melt at an atomic copper concentration x = 10 ± 5%, whereas the supercooled Al100–xCux melt saturated with copper atoms (x ≥ 40%) is characterized by the minimum sound velocity. In the case of the supercooled melt, the concentration dependence of the kinematic viscosity ν(x) is found to be interpolated by a linear dependence, and a deviation from the linear dependence is observed in the case of equilibrium melt at x < 40%. An insignificant shoulder in the ν(x) dependence is observed at low copper concentrations (x < 20%), and it is supported by the experimental data. This shoulder is caused by the specific features in the concentration dependence of the density ρ(x).  相似文献

The influence of spin fluctuations on the thermodynamic properties of a helical ferromagnet MnSi has been investigated in the framework of the Hubbard model with the electronic spectrum determined from the first-principles LDA + U + SO calculation, which is extended taking into account the Hund coupling and the Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya antisymmetric exchange. It has been shown that the ground state of the magnetic material is characterized by large zero-point fluctuations, which disappear at the temperature T* (<T c is the temperature of the magnetic phase transition). In this case, the entropy abruptly increases, and a lambdashaped anomaly appears in the temperature dependence of the heat capacity at constant volume (C V (T)). In the temperature range T* < T < T c , thermal fluctuations lead to the disappearance of the inhomogeneous magnetization. The competition between the increase in the entropy due to paramagnon excitations and its decrease as a result of the reduction in the amplitude of local magnetic moments, under the conditions of strong Hund exchange, is responsible for in the appearance of a “shoulder” in the dependence C V (T)).  相似文献

The temperature dependence of the permittivity of a Hg2Cl2 crystal has been investigated within the Landau phenomenological theory. At T < T C, the linear permittivity has a singularity in the form ~(T C?T)1/2; however, this anomaly may disappear in a multidomain sample. The nonlinear permittivity also has an anomaly near T C but of stronger type: ~(T C ? T)?1/2.  相似文献

The thermopower, S, magnetothermopower, ΔS/S, resistivity, ρ, and magnetoresistivity, Δρ/ρ, depending on the temperature T and magnetic field H, have been studied in an Nd0.5Sr0.5MnO3 single crystal consisting of three types of clusters: an antiferromagnetic CE-type with charge-orbital ordering (below the Neel temperature TNCE ~ 145 K) and an A-type with TNA ~ 220 K; a ferromagnetic at 234 ≤ T ≤ 252 K, and a ferromagnetic metal phase below the Curie temperature TC = 248 K. The thermopower was found to be negative, indicating the dominance of the electronic type of conductivity. In the S(T) curves, a sharp minimum is observed in the temperature range of 100 K ≤ T ≤ 133 K, close to TNCE, where the absolute S value attains 53 μV/K. With a further increase in temperature, the absolute S value decreases rapidly; at 200 K it is equal to 7 μV/K. It then slightly increases, reaching its maximum value of 15 μV/K at a temperature of 254 K, which is close to TC. The absolute thermopower decreased under the influence of the magnetic field; i.e., a negative magnetothermopower occurs. In {ΔS/S}(T) curves, a sharp minimum is observed at T = 130 K close to TNCE, where the magnetothermopower reaches a huge value of ~45% at H = 13.23 kOe. A broad minimum in the {ΔS/S}(T) curves is observed near the Curie temperature and its value is also high, viz., ~15% in the maximum measuring magnetic field of 13.23 kOe. The extremely high magnetothermopower values mean that the charge-orbital ordered nanoclusters or ferron type make the main contribution to the thermopower of the entire sample. The behavior of the ρ(T) and {Δρ/ρ}(T) curves is similar to that of the S(T) and {ΔS/S}(T) dependencies, which is in agreement with this conclusion.  相似文献

Complex magnetic, resistive, and dielectric studies of Pr1–xCaxMnO3 (х = 0.15–0.30) manganites reveal multiferroic properties at T?TC in these solid solutions. States with local magnetization in the form of ferromagnetic clusters (nucleation temperature T* ≈ 700 K) and high dielectric constants coexist in the temperature window TCTT*. There is a correlation between the temperature dependences of specific resistance and specific magnetization.  相似文献

For a 2D electron system in silicon, the temperature dependence of the Hall resistance ρxy(T) is measured in a weak magnetic field in the range of temperatures (1–35 K) and carrier concentrations n where the diagonal resistance component exhibits a metallic-type behavior. The temperature dependences ρxy(T) obtained for different n values are nonmonotonic and have a maximum at Tmax ~ 0.16TF. At lower temperatures T < Tmax, the change δρxy(T) in the Hall resistance noticeably exceeds the interaction quantum correction and qualitatively agrees with the semiclassical model, where only the broadening of the Fermi distribution is taken into account. At higher temperatures T > Tmax, the dependence ρxy(T) can be qualitatively explained by both the temperature dependence of the scattering time and the thermal activation of carriers from the band of localized states.  相似文献

It has been shown that the strong coupling model taking into account a rise in the spin antiferromagnetic insulating state explains the doping dependence of the topology and shape of the Fermi contour of superconducting cuprates. Hole pockets with shadow bands in the second Brillouin zone form the Fermi contour with perfect ordinary and mirror nesting, which ensures the coexistence of orbital antiferromagnetism and superconductivity with a large pair momentum for T < TC. The weak pseudogap region (T* < T < T*) corresponds to the orbital antiferromagnetic ordering, which coexists with the incoherent state of superconducting pairs with large momenta in the strong pseudogap region (TC < T < T*).  相似文献

The temperature (T = 77–420 K) dependences of the electrical resistivity and the magnetization, the magnetic-field (H ≤ 5 kOe) and pressure (P ≤ 7 GPa) dependences of the resistivity, the Hall coefficient, and the magnetization have been measured in the Zn0.1Cd0.9GeAs2 + 10 wt % MnAs composite with the Curie temperature T C = 310 K. The magnetoresistive effect has been observed at high hydrostatic pressure to 7 GPa. At nearly room temperature, the pressure dependence of the magnetization demonstrated a transition from the ferromagnetic to paramagnetic state at P ~ 3.2 GPa that was accompanied by the semiconductor–metal phase transition.  相似文献

Temperature dependences of dielectric permittivity in the improper ferroelastic phase, including the region of the improper ferroelastic phase transition occurring at T=Tc1, were studied in the betaine phosphite-betaine phosphate solid-solution crystals. At a betaine phosphate (BP) concentration of 10%, the phase transition temperature Tc1 was found to shift toward higher temperatures by about 5 K compared to betaine phosphite (BPI) crystals, where Tc1=355 K. The phase transition remains in the vicinity of the tricritical point. As the BP concentration in BPI is increased, the dielectric anomaly at T=Tc1 weakens substantially compared to pure BPI. The nonlinear temperature dependence of reciprocal dielectric permittivity in the improper ferroelastic phase of BPIxBP1?x crystals is described in the concentration region 0.9≤x≤1 in terms of a thermodynamic model taking into account the biquadratic relation of the nonpolar order parameter of the improper ferroelastic phase transition to polarization. The decrease in the ferroelectric phase transition temperature Tc1 (or in the temperature of loss of improper ferroelastic phase stability) with increasing BP concentration in the above limits is due to the decreasing effect of the nonpolar mode on the polar instability, which is accompanied by a weakening of the dielectric anomaly at T=Tc1  相似文献

Method and results of the beam polarization measurements are presented. The measurements were carried out at the proton polarized beam of Saturne-II accelerator as well as at the JINR (Dubna) synchrophasotron vector polarized deuteron beam. The analysis of the elastic (quasi-elastic) pp-scattering polarization is used as a method of the polarization measurements. The energy range of the measurement is 1.0≤T p ≤2.8 GeV for polarized proton and 1.66≤T d ≤7.3 GeV for polarized deuteron beams.  相似文献

Magnetic, elastic, magnetoelastic, transport, and magnetotransport properties of the Eu0.55Sr0.45MnO3 ceramics have been studied. A break was detected in the temperature dependence of electrical resistivity ρ(T) near the temperature of the magnetic phase transformation (41 K), with the material remaining an insulator down to the lowest measurement temperature reached (ρ=106 Ω cm at 4.2 K). In the interval 4.2≤T≤50 K, the isotherms of the magnetization, volume magnetostriction, and ρ were observed to undergo jumps at the critical field HC1, which decreases with increasing T. For 50≤T≤120 K, the jumps in the above curves persist, but the pattern of the curves changes and HC1 grows with increasing T. The magnetoresistance Δρ/ρ = (ρ H H=0)/ρ H is positive for H<HC1 and passes through a maximum at 41 K, where Δρ/ρ = 6%. For H>HC1, the magnetoresistance is negative, passes through a minimum near 41 K, and reaches a colossal value of 3×105 % at H=45 kOe. The volume magnetostriction is negative and attains a giant value of 4.5×10?4atH=45 kOe. The observed properties are assigned to the existence of three phases in Eu0.55Sr0.45MnO3, namely, a ferromagnetic (FM) phase, in which carriers are concentrated because of the gain in s-d exchange energy, and two antiferromagnetic (AFM) phases of the A and CE types. Their fractional volumes at low temperatures were estimated to be as follows: ~3% of the sample volume is occupied by the FM phase; ~67%, by the CE-type AFM phase; and ~30%, by the A-type AFM phase.  相似文献

The temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility of La2NiO4+δ single crystals with δ = 0.095 and 0.105 has been analyzed. The anomalous dependence of χ(T) characteristic of stripe structures previously found in La1.8Sr0.2NiO4 has been found. Investigation of the dependence χ(T) on the impurity and charge disorder degrees makes it possible to separate the contribution associated with the ordering of holes and impurity oxygen. It has been shown that the contribution from the ordering of holes is well described by the model of ferromagnetic Heisenberg chains of spins S = 1/2. The length of the chains and intrachain interaction J N have been determined from the temperature dependence χ(T).  相似文献

We have studied the resistivity and thermoelectromotive force (thermo emf) in a temperature range of T = 80–1000 K, the magnetic susceptibility and magnetization in a temperature range of T = 4.2–300 K at an external magnetic field of up to 70 kOe, and the structural characteristics of Co x Mn1?x S sulfides (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.4). Anomalies in the transport properties of these compounds have been found in the temperature intervals ΔT 1 = 200–270 K and ΔT 2 = 530–670 K and at T 3T N. The temperature dependences of the magnetic susceptibility, magnetization, and resistivity, as well as the current-voltage characteristics, exhibit hysteresis. In the domain of magnetic ordering at temperatures below the Néel temperature (T N), the antiferromagnetic Co x Mn1?x S sulfides possess a spontaneous magnetic moment that is explained using a model of the orbital ordering of electrons in the t 2g bands. The influence of the cobalt-ion-induced charge ordering on the transport and magnetic properties of sulfides has been studied. The calculated values of the temperatures corresponding to the maxima of charge susceptibility, which are related to a competition between the on-site Coulomb interaction of holes in various subbands and their weak hybridization, agree well with the experimental data.  相似文献

The effects of isovalent Sb substitution on the superconducting properties of the Ca0.88La0.12Fe2(As1-ySby)2 system have been studied through electrical resistivity measurements. It is seen that the antiferromagnetic or structural transition is suppressed with Sb content, and a high-Tc superconducting phase, accompanied by a low-Tc phase, emerges at 0.02 ≤ y ≤ 0.06. In this intermediate-doping regime, normal-state transport shows non-Fermi-liquid-like behaviors with nearly T-linear resistivity above the high-Tc phase. With further Sb doping, this high-Tc phase abruptly vanishes for y > 0.06 and the conventional Fermi liquid is restored, while the low-Tc phase remains robust against Sb impurities. The coincidence of the high-Tc phase and non-Fermi liquid transport behaviors in the intermediate Sb-doping regime suggests that AFM fluctuations play an important role in the observed non-Fermi liquid behaviors, which may be intimately related to the unusual nonbulk high-Tc phase in this system.  相似文献

We report on the synthesis and measurements of the temperature dependences of the resistivity ρ, the penetration depth λ, and the upper critical magnetic field Hc2, for polycrystalline samples of dodecaboride ZrB12 and diboride MgB2. We conclude that ZrB12 behaves as a simple metal in the normal state with the usual Bloch-Grüneisen temperature dependence of ρ(T) and with a rather low resistive Debye temperature TR = 280 K (to be compared to TR = 900 K for MgB2). The ρ(T) and λ(T) dependences for these samples reveal a superconducting transition in ZrB12 at Tc = 6.0 K. Although a clear exponential λ(T) dependence in MgB2 thin films and ceramic pellets was observed at low temperatures, this dependence was almost linear for ZrB12 below Tc/2. These features indicate an s-wave pairing state in MgB2, whereas a d-wave pairing state is possible in ZrB12. In disagreement with conventional theories, we found a linear temperature dependence, of Hc2(T) for ZrB12 (Hc2(0) = 0.15 T).  相似文献

Static magnetic susceptibility χ(T) in the normal state (Tc ≤ T ≤ 400 K) and specific heat C(T) near temperature Tc of the transition to the superconducting state are experimentally studied for a series of fine crystalline samples of high-temperature YBa2Cu3Oy superconductor, having y and Tc close to optimal but differing in the degree of nanoscale structural disordering. It is shown that under the influence of structural disordering, there is enhancement of anomalous pseudogap behavior of the studied characteristics and a significant increase in the width of the pseudogap.  相似文献
