The deaquation reactions of BaCl2·2H2O, BaBr2·2H2O and CoCl2·6H20 were studied by the thermal analysis techniques of thermogravimetry, differential thermal analysis (DTA), and electrical conductivity in the pressure range from one to 170 atm. In general, the effect of pressure on the TG curves increased the Ti and Tf values and also the reaction interval, (Tt—Ti). The DTA curves exhibited splittings into multiple peaks as a result of the increased pressure. These splittings were interpreted as due to the evolution of a liquid water phase followed b  相似文献

Hydrates of Barium Chloride. X-ray, Thermoanalytical, Raman, and I.R. Data In the system BaCl2? H2O the hydrates BaCl2 · 2 H2O, BaCl2 · 1 H2O, BaCl2 · 1/2 H2O, and BaCl2 · uH2O were obtained. X-ray powder data, i.r. and Raman spectra, as well as thermoanalytical measurements (TG, DTA) are reported. BaCl2 · 1 H2O and BaCl2 · 1/2 H2O, which are both isotype with the corresponding hydrates of SrCl2, were prepared by dehydration of BaCl2 · 2 H2O or by back hydration of anhydrous BaCl2 with the calculated amounts of water. BaCl2 · uH2O (u ≈? 1) is formed as the primary product by the reaction of anhydrous BaCl2 with water vapour at room temperature. Preparation methods of salt hydrates by controlled back hydration of the anhydrous salts are reported.  相似文献

The kinetics of the thermal dehydration of various kinds of BaCl2 · 2H2O and of BaCl2 · H2O are investigated using a differential scanning calorimeter. The loss of H2O proceeds in two steps: BaCl2 · 2H2O→BaCl2 · H2O→BaCl2 and is therefore revealed by two endothermic peaks. In the experiments at varying temperature both steps follow a contracting-circle law, after an initial acceleratory stage according to a (n=2) power law. In the experiments at constant temperature, after an initial acceleratory stage according to a (n=2) power law, both steps (except BaCl2 · 2H2O single-crystals which follow a contracting-circle law) follow an Avrami-Erofeev law (withn=2) in the form used by Galwey and Jacobs. The activation energies for the various steps are compared and the different kinetic behaviour is discussed.  相似文献

Hydrates and crystal Structure of Barium Chloride The dehydrating process of BaCl2 · 2H2O and the phase transformations of BaCl2 were observed by using a modified high temperature X-ray camera. The following compounds appeared with increasing temperature: BaCl2 · 2H2O → BaCl2 · 1H2O → BaCl2(cubT) [BaCl2(hex)]→ α-BaCl2(ortho) → β-BaCl2(cubH). The phase BaCl2(cubT) is supposed to be the metastable low temperature form of β-BaCl2(cubH). Structural relationships were demonstrated by comparing the different phases of the BaCl2? The thermal deaquation reactions of CuSO4·5H2O and NiSO4·7H20 were studied by simultaneous TG, DTG and DTA. In the CuSO4·5H2O thermogram three distinct steps corresponding to 2 moles,2moles. 1 mole of water were observed. and in the NiSO4·7H2O the sequence 1 mole, 3 moles, 2 moles, I mole was determined. The deaquation steps were correlated with the structure of water of crystallization. An exothermic DTA peak was observed during the evolution of the first mole of water in NiSO4·7H2O.  相似文献

A high pressure differential thermal analysis apparatus is described which is capable of operation in the pressure range from 1-600 atm of nitrogen gas and at temperatures from 25 to 500°C. Use of the apparatus is illustrated by the deaquation reactions of CuCl2·2H20 and CoSO4·7H2O at pressures from 1 to 69 atm.  相似文献

Two convenient methods were developed to transform KMnO4 into barium permanganate and other permanganate salts via BaMnO4 or Mn2O7 intermediates. Pure BaMnO4 was prepared by the reaction of KMnO4 with KI in the presence of BaCl2 and NaOH. Hydrothermal reaction of barium manganate with excess carbon dioxide for 1.5 h at 100 °C led to barium‐permanganate with almost quantitative yield. Mn2O7 was prepared by means of the reaction of KMnO4 and sulfuric acid monohydrate in a two‐phase (CCl4‐H2SO4.H2O) system. In the presence of excess barium carbonate and catalytic amount of water barium permanganate could be obtained with a moderate yield. Similarly, other permanganate salts (Zn, Cd, Cu, Mg, Ca, Ni, Al, Fe, Ce, rare earth metals) were prepared by substituting the BaCO3 for the appropriate metal oxides, hydroxides or carbonates.  相似文献

In this present work, barium ion was reacted with different ligands which are 5,7-dibromo 5,7-dichloro, 7-iodo and 5-chloro-7-iodo-8-hydroxyquinoline, in acetone/ammonium hydroxide medium under constant stirring and the obtained compounds were as follows: (I) Ba[(C9 H4 ONBr2 )2 ]⋅1.5H2 O; (II) Ba[(C9 H4 ONCl2 )(OH)]⋅1H2 O; (III) Ba[(C9 H5 ONI)2 ]⋅1H2 O and (IV) Ba[(C9 H4 ONICl)2 ]⋅5H2 O, respectively. The compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, infrared absorption spectrum (IR), inductively coupled plasma spectrometry (ICP), simultaneous thermogravimetry-differential thermal analysis (TG-DTA) and differential scanning calorimeter (DSC). The final residue of the thermal decomposition was characterized as orthorhombic BaBr2from (I); the intermediate residue, as a mixture of orthorhombic BaCO3 and BaCl2 and cubic BaO and the final residue, as a mixture of cubic and tetragonal BaO and orthorhombic BaCl2 (II); the intermediate residue, as orthorhombic BaCO3 and as a final residue, a mixture of cubic and tetragonal BaO from (III); and the intermediate residue, as a mixture of orthorhombic BaCO3 and BaCl2 and as a final residue, a mixture of cubic and tetragonal BaO and orthorhombic BaCl2 from (IV). Conductivities were measured for the ternary systems NaNO3–KNO3–H2O, NaCl–BaCl2–H2O, NaCl–LaCl3–H2O, and their binary subsystems NaNO3–H2O, KNO3–H2O, NaCl–H2O, BaCl2–H2O, and LaCl3–H2O at (293.15, 298.15 and 303.15) K. The results were used to verify the generalized Young’s rule and the semi-ideal solution theory. Comparison of the results shows that the average relative differences between the predicted and measured conductivities are ≤4.2×10−3 for NaNO3–KNO3–H2O, ≤4.6×10−3 for NaCl–BaCl2–H2O, and ≤8.9×10−3 for NaCl–LaCl3–H2O, indicating that the generalized Young’s rule and the semi-ideal solution theory can provide good predictions for the conductivity of mixed electrolyte solutions in terms of the data from their binary subsystems.  相似文献

The purpose of this work was to study the kinetics of wood pyrolysis in the presence of inorganic salts, representatives of classes of alkali and alkaline earth metal halides (NaCl, KCl, KBr, CaCl2, BaCl2·2H2O) and Lewis acids (AlCl3·6H2O, FeCl3·6H2O, CuCl2, CuBr2, ZnCl2·1.5H2O, NiCl2·6H2O, SnCl2·2H2O) using TG-DSC. The activity of these catalysts was estimated by the temperature of the beginning of pyrolysis, charcoal yield and kinetic parameters, such as energy of activation and reaction order. Using the Lewis acids as catalysts for pyrolysis leads to a decrease in the temperature of the process beginning and the activation energy. In the presence of other catalysts activation energy does not significantly change. The increase of a seeming reaction order in the presence of Lewis acids possibly is a consequence of complication of the thermodestruction mechanism, with the appearance of new parallel competing stages.   相似文献

The direct measurements of differential enthalpies of solution Δsol H 2, of LiCl·H2O, NaCl, KCl, MgCl2·6H2O, CaCl2·6H2O and BaCl2·2H2O, as the function of molality,m, in the region of concentrated solutions were performed. The thermal decomposition of the four nitrogen-rich salts of ammonia (NH4), aminoguanidine (AG), carbohydrazide (CHZ) and 5-aminotetrazo (ATZ) based on trinitrophloroglucinol (H3TNPG) was investigated using the differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermogravity (TG), and dynamic vacuum stability test (DVST). DSC and TG methods research the complete decomposition, while DVST method researches the very early reaction stage. The peak temperatures of DSC curves are consistent with the temperatures of maximum mass loss rates of TG curves. The apparent activation energies of these H3TNPG-based salts obtained by DSC and DVST have the same regularity, i.e., (ATZ)(H2TNPG)·2H2O < (CHZ)(HTNPG)·0.5H2O < NH4(H2TNPG) < (AG)(H2TNPG). The thermal stability order is (ATZ)(H2TNPG)·2H2O < (CHZ)(HTNPG)·0.5H2O < (AG)(H2TNPG) < NH4(H2TNPG), which was evaluated by DVST according to the evolved gas amount of thermal decomposition. DVST can monitor the real-time temperature and pressure changes caused by thermal decomposition, dehydration, phase transition and secondary reaction, and also evaluate the thermal stability and kinetics.   相似文献

The thermal dehydration reaction of potassium titanium oxalate, K2TiO(C2O4)2·2H2O, has been studied by means of thermogravimetry (TG), differential thermal analysis (DTA), and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) in nitrogen atmosphere at different heating rates. K2TiO(C2O4)2·2H2O dehydrates in a single step through a practically irreversible process. The activation energy involved and its dependence on the conversion degree were estimated by evaluating the thermogravimetric data according to model-free methods, and values of activation energy were determined for the dehydration reaction. Activation energy values were also evaluated from DSC data using isoconversional methods. The complexity of the dehydration of K2TiO(C2O4)2·2H2O is illustrated by the dependence of E on the extent of conversion, ?? (0.05??????????0.95).  相似文献

2-Aminoethylphosphonic acid (AEPA) and its N-substituted compounds were prepared by one step reaction using 2-chloroethylphosphonic acid with ammonia and amines (H2NMe, HNMeMe, HNEtEt, H2NPr-n, H2NCH2ph, H2NCH2CH2NH2 and H2N(C=NH)NH2 in a dilute alkaline solution below 20 °C with simple work-up and easy purification. The reaction was accelerated by catalytic amount of potassium iodide. The yield for the reaction products were 35.6 to 48.6% for the KI absence and 78.2 to 88.0% for the KI presence.  相似文献

The solid phase thermal deaquation—anation of trans-[CrF(H2O)(en)2][M(CN)4] (M = Ni, Pd, Pt; en = ethylenediamine) has been investigated by means of non-isothermal DSC and isothermal and non-isothermal TG measurements. The physical model for these reactions (nucleation, growth, diffusion or intermediates) has been found by comparison of the isothermal and non-isothermal TG data for all the principal g(α) expressions (0.2?α?0.8) and by the shape of the isothermal curves. The values found for activation energy are low (~ 130 kJ mol?1 for the Ni compound, ~ 140 kJ mol?1 for the Pd compound, and ~ 100 kJ mol?1 for the Pt compound). These data permit the assignment of the deaquation—anation mechanism of the SN1 type involving a square-base pyramid activated complex and elimination of water as Frenkel defects.  相似文献

The heats of fusion and heat capacities at 298.2 K of Na2SiO3·5H2O, Na2SiO3·6H2O and Na2SiO3·9H2O have been measured by DSC. The enthalpies and entropies of fusion increase with the water content of the hydrate and the entropy of fusion per mole of water is almost constant. The application of DSC/DTA to the analysis of metasilicate hydrate mixtures is discussed.  相似文献

The deaquation of two isostructural compounds of general formula [M(HL)2(H2O)2](NO3)2 (M=Co, Ni, HL=3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazole-1-carboxamidine) is discussed in the view of their crystal and molecular structure. The compounds contain the same number and type of hydrogen bonds of the adjacent nitrate ions, only in the opposite orientation. On the basis of their deaquation pattern such a small difference may be detected, i.e., methods of thermal analysis are sensitive enough to show very small structural differences.  相似文献
