The reasons for the emergence of negative capacitance in matter are discussed. The relaxation polarization in matter, accompanied by the creation of an electric field of the inverse directivity, is named one of the possible reasons for the emergence of a negative capacitance. This field can appear in local areas of a substance after development of the polarization of ionic displacement. Calculated dielectric spectra of matter characteristic of such relaxation polarization are presented.  相似文献

Maxwell–Wagner–Sillars (MWS) relaxation in nylon 1010, arising from charge carriers accumulated at the interphase between amorphous and crystalline regions, has been investigated by means of dielectric relaxation spectra. In the frequency spectra of nylon 1010, dielectric permittivity showed high values at low frequencies originating from charge carrier movement. For the MWS relaxation, the dielectric strength was independent of temperature. The results revealed that there is a transition temperature, located between 110 and 120°C, resulting in the separation of two different charge carrier movement mechanisms. Below and above this transition temperature, the temperature dependence of the MWS relaxation time follows the Vogel–Tammann–Fulcher type, showing that the charge carrier transport is governed by the motion of the polymer chains. The change of charge carrier movement mechanisms is due to the onset of polymer chain motion in the interphase.  相似文献

The Debye relaxation of dielectric spectroscopy exists extensively in monohydroxy alcohols.We model the relaxation based on the infinite-pseudospin-chain Ising model and the Glauber dynamics,and the corresponding complex permittivity is obtained.The model results are in good agreement with the experimental data of 3,7-dimethyl-1-octanol,2-ethyl-1-hexanol and 5-methyl-2-hexanol in a wide temperature range.Moreover,in the model parameters,the sum of the mean-field interaction energy and two times the orientation is nearly twice the hydrogen bond energy,which further states the rationality of this model.  相似文献

The relaxation processes of α-form nylon 1212 from 50°C up to 160°C were studied by dielectric relaxation spectroscopy (DRS) in a wide frequency range of 63 Hz to 5 MHz. The α relaxation, the electrode relaxation, and the conductivity relaxation of nylon 1212 were observed and analyzed in detail using permittivity and modulus formalism. Electrode polarization and dc conductivity were the origin of high dielectric permittivity values at low frequencies and high temperatures. The strength of the imaginary part of the electric modulus of conductivity relaxation M″ max was nearly independent of temperature. The distribution of local conductivity and relaxation time became broader with decreasing temperature.  相似文献

It is theoretically shown that the simultaneously large positive and negative lateral displacements will appear when the resonant condition is satisfied for a TE-polarized light beam reflected from the total internal reflection configuration with a weakly absorbing dielectric film. Appearance of the enhanced negative lateral displacement is relative to the incidence angle, absorption of the thin film and its thickness. If we select an appropriate weakly absorbing dielectric film and its thickness, the simultaneously enhanced positive and negative lateral displacements will appear at different resonant angles. These phenomena may lead to convenient measurements and interesting applications in optical devices.  相似文献

We consider a method for measuring the elements of the dielectric-permittivity tensor of a slightly lossy uniaxial anisotropic dielectric using the spectrum of resonance frequencies of a metal-dielectric resonator in the form of an axially anisotropic cylindrical specimen with endface metal mirrors. Measurements of both elements of the dielectric-permittivity tensor of sapphire at temperatures 93–343 K are performed using the spectrum of symmetric E modes. To avoid the influence of the residual gaps between the specimen and the mirrors, the endface surfaces of the specimen are metallized. We performed independent measurements of the axial and transverse elements of the permittivity tensor at room temperature from the spectra of azimuthal E modes and symmetric H modes. The values of the axial and transverse elements of the dielectric-permittivity tensor of sapphire in the range 93–343 K are presented with a spacing of 10 K.  相似文献

Optical emission spectroscopy is an optical non‐destructive method with which the temperature of the heavy particles (atoms, molecules, and ions) and the vibration temperature is determined in an air plasma torch and in an atmospheric nitrogen dielectric barrier parallel plate discharge. The two temperatures are measured to obtain an estimation of the deviation from local thermal equilibrium and to compare the two plasma source configurations which are used for surface treatment. The theory of pulsed field gradient (pfg) NMR applied to molecules in cellular systems which contain different subcellular compartments separated by permeable membranes, acting as diffusion barriers, has been extended. A numerical model of restricted diffusion and magnetization relaxation behavior in pfg-CPMG NMR experiments, based on the Fick's second law of diffusion, is presented. This model is applicable to a wide range of systems and allows the exploration of temporal and spatial behavior of the magnetization with and without the influence of gradient pulses. Results of the numerical experiments show their correspondence to the previously observed ones and demonstrate the importance of the inclusion of the time domain data in analyzing diffusion measurements.  相似文献

将自组织临界中OFC模型的能量传递概念及相关参量α引入极值动力学模型,得到了同时与KWW方程和幂律均相关的介电弛豫的函数关系。用时域介电谱方法测量了聚丙烯在-15~90℃慢极化电荷的释放过程,结果显示:在较低温度,弛豫为幂律;在较高温度,弛豫随时间的增加从幂律过渡到KWW关系。理论分析与实验结果基本一致,由此可知KWW方程的参量β反映了外界温度对材料弛豫单元物影响;参量α反映了能量传递的大小及温度的影响,当β较小或α较大时,弛豫的幂律关系较为明显。  相似文献

By using a first-principles approach, we investigate the pathway of electric displacement fields in shaped graded dielectric materials existing in the form of cloaks with various shapes. We reveal a type of apparently negative electric polarization (ANEP), which is due to a symmetric oscillation of the paired electric permittivities, satisfying a sum rule. The ANEP does not occur for a spherical cloak, but appears up to maximum as a/b (the ratio between the long and short principal axis of the spheroidal cloak) is about 5/2, and eventually disappears as a/b becomes large enough corresponding to a rod-like shape. Further, the cloaking efficiency is calculated for different geometrical shapes and demonstrated to closely relate to the ANEP. The possibility of experiments is discussed. This work has relevance to dielectric shielding based on shaped graded dielectric materials.  相似文献

An opto-electronic hybrid system that is based on the joint transform correlator (JTC) is suggested for the implementation of real-time wavelet transform. Holographic encoding of both the object signal and wavelet function enables the JTC-based real-time correlator to execute the optical wavelet transformation involving positive and negative values. We suggest an interferometric method to retain the information about the polarity of the final wavelet transform. Electron plasma induced by a focused femtosecond pulse (130 fs, 800 nm) in dielectric materials (Soda Lime glass, K9 glass, and SiO2 crystal) is investigated by pump-probe shadow imaging technology. The relaxation of the electron plasma in the conduction band is discussed. In SiO2 crystals, a fast self-trapping process with a trapping time of 150fs is observed, which is similar to that in fused silica. However, in Soda Lime glass and K9 glass, no self-trapping occurs, and two decay processes are found: one is the energy relaxation process of conduction electrons within several picoseconds, another is an electron-hole recombination process with a timescale of lOOps. The electron collision time T in the conduction band is also measured to be in the order of 1 fs in all of these materials.  相似文献

The dielectric relaxation behavior of a series of ethylene-vinylacetate (EVA) copolymers was investigated by measuring the complex dielectric permittivity in a broad frequency and temperature range. Crystallinity of EVA copolymers was estimated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and wide-angle X-ray scattering (WAXS). The shape of the higher temperature relaxation, appearing above the glass transition temperature T g depends on the VA content. It was found that this relaxation was asymmetric for VA concentrations higher than 40 wt% and changed to a symmetric shape at lower VA values. Concurrently, as the VA content decreased, a major broadening of the relaxation over a wide frequency range was observed. It is found that the dielectric relaxation was preserved on going through the melting range of the semicrystalline samples, although it exhibited changes of its characteristic parameters that are typical for segmental relaxation appearing at T g. This finding allows one to associate this relaxation to the segmental motions at T g in the amorphous phase and not to the existence of interfacial regions.  相似文献
