EXISTENCE AND NONEXISTENCE OF POSITIVE SOLUTIONS TO A THREE-POINT BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEM

In this paper, we are concerned with the existence and nonexistence of positive solutions to a three-point boundary value problems. By Krasnoselskii’s fixed point theorem in Banach space, we obtain sufficient conditions for the existence and non-existence of positive solutions to the above three-point boundary value problems.     

一类具交错扩散的强耦合退化抛物方程组解的整体存在与非存在性

本文研究了一类具交错扩散的强耦合拟线性退化抛物方程组初边值问题正古典解的局部存在,整体存在与非整体存在性.利用正则化方法和先验估计技巧证明了该问题正古典解的局部存在性,并且分别给出了该问题是否存在整体古典解的充分条件.结果表明当种群内竞争强于种群间互惠作用时,此问题存在整体解;而当两种群具有强互惠作用时,所有解都是非整体的.     

PERMANENCE AND GLOBAL STABILITY OF POSITIVE SOLUTIONS TO TWO PREDATORSONE PREY SYSTEM WITH A DISCRETE TIME RATIO-DEPENDENT

A three-species ratio-dependent predator-prey discrete model is studied.As a result,sufficient conditions which guarantee the permanence of the model are obtained. In addition,by constructing a suitable Lyapunov function,we derive some sufficient conditions,which ensure that the positive solution of the model is stable and attracts all positive solutions.To illustrate the feasibility of the main results,we introduce an example with corresponding numeric simulations.     

EXISTENCE OF POSITIVE PERIODIC SOLUTIONS TO A DISCRETE TIME NON-AUTONOMOUS COMPETING SYSTEM WITH FEEDBACK CONTROLS

In this paper,a class of discrete time non-autonomous competing system with feedback controls is considered. With the help of differential equations with piecewise constant arguments,we first propose a discrete model of a continuous non-autonomous competing system with feedback controls. Then,using the coincidence degree and the related continuation theorem as well as some priori estimations,a suficient condition for the existence of positive solutions to difference equations is obtained.     

POSITIVE PERIODIC SOLUTIONS OF A CLASS OF DISCRETE TIME SYSTEM WITH DELAYS AND A FEEDBACK CONTROL

With the help of a continuation theorem based on Gaines and Mawhin's coincidence degree, sufficient conditions are established for the existence of periodic solutions of a class of discrete differential system with delays and feedback control.     

CLASSIFICATION OF SOLUTIONS FOR A CLASS OF SINGULAR INTEGRAL SYSTEM

In this paper, we consider the following integral system: u(x) = R n v q (y) | x y | nα dy, v(x) = R n u p (y) | x y | nμ dy, (0.1) where 0 < α, μ < n; p, q ≥ 1. Using the method of moving planes in an integral form which was recently introduced by Chen, Li, and Ou in [2, 4, 8], we show that all positive solutions of (0.1) are radially symmetric and decreasing with respect to some point under some general conditions of integrability. The results essentially improve and extend previously known results [4, 8].     

POINTWISE ESTIMATE OF BOUNDED SOLUTIONS TO SOME DISCRETE INEQUALITIES INVOLVING INFINITE SUMMATION

Explicit bounds on bounded solutions to a new class of Volterra-type linear and nonlinear discrete inequalities involving infinite sums are established. These inequalities can be viewed as discrete analogues of some Volterra-type inequalities having improper integral functionals,which are new to the literature.     

CLASSIFICATION OF POSITIVE SOLUTIONS TO A SYSTEM OF HARDY-SOBOLEV TYPE EQUATIONS

In this paper, we are concerned with the following Hardy-Sobolev type system{(-?)~(α/2) u(x) =v~q(x)/|y|~(t_2) (-?)α/2 v(x) =u~p(x)/|y|~(t_1),x =(y, z) ∈(R ~k\{0}) × R~(n-k),(0.1)where 0 α n, 0 t_1, t_2 min{α, k}, and 1 p ≤τ_1 :=(n+α-2t_1)/( n-α), 1 q ≤τ_2 :=(n+α-2 t_2)/( n-α).We first establish the equivalence of classical and weak solutions between PDE system(0.1)and the following integral equations(IE) system{u(x) =∫_( R~n) G_α(x, ξ)v~q(ξ)/|η|t~2 dξ v(x) =∫_(R~n) G_α(x, ξ)(u~p(ξ))/|η|~(t_1) dξ,(0.2)where Gα(x, ξ) =(c n,α)/(|x-ξ|~(n-α))is the Green's function of(-?)~(α/2) in R~n. Then, by the method of moving planes in the integral forms, in the critical case p = τ_1 and q = τ_2, we prove that each pair of nonnegative solutions(u, v) of(0.1) is radially symmetric and monotone decreasing about the origin in R~k and some point z0 in R~(n-k). In the subcritical case (n-t_1)/(p+1)+(n-t_2)/(q+1) n-α,1 p ≤τ_1 and 1 q ≤τ_2, we derive the nonexistence of nontrivial nonnegative solutions for(0.1).     

EXISTENCE AND NONEXISTENCE OF GLOBAL SOLUTIONS OF THE INITIAL-BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEM FOR SOME DEGENERATE HYPERBOLIC EQUATION

The author considers the global existence and global nonexistence of the initial-boundary value problem for some degenerate hyperbolic equation of the form utt- div(|▽u|p-2▽u)= |u|mu, (x,t) ∈ [0, ∞) ×Ωwith p ＞ 2 and m ＞ 0. He deals with the global solutions by D.H.Sattinger's potential well ideas. At the same time, when the initial energy is positive, but appropriately bounded,the global nonexistence of solutions is verified by using the analysis method.     

一类矩阵方程的双对称定秩解及其最佳逼近

本文研究了矩阵方程AX=B的双对称最大秩和最小秩解问题.利用矩阵秩的方法,获得了矩阵方程AX=B有最大秩和最小秩解的充分必要条件以及解的表达式,同时对于最小秩解的解集合,得到了最佳逼近解.     

EXISTENCE AND UNIQUENESS OF POSITIVE SOLUTIONS TO A SYSTEM OF NONLINEAR FRACTIONAL DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS WITH DELAY

Using a fixed point method, in this paper we discuss the existence and uniqueness of positive solutions to a class system of nonlinear fractional differential equations with delay and obtain some new results.

本文考虑如下的椭圆方程组△ｙ＋ｆ（ｘ,ｕ）＋Эｕ＝０,ｘ∈Ω △ｕ＋ｕ－ｖ＝０,ｘ∈Ω ｕ＝ｖ＝０,ｘ∈ЭΩ 其中,Ω∈Ｒ＾Ｎ（Ｎ≥３）是带光滑边界的有界区域,ｆ（ｘ,ｕ）＝ｈ（ｘ）ｕ＾α＋ｕ＾β＋λｕ＾ｐ,ｈ（ｘ）∈Ｃ＾ｒ（Ω）（０〈ｒ〈１）,α,β,ｐ是正常数且０〈β〈α〈１〈ｐ〈（Ｎ＋２）／（Ｎ－２）,λ,δ是正参数,由临界点理论证明了该方程组至少存在二对正解。     

MULTIPLE POSITIVE SOLUTIONS TO A SYSTEM OF NONLINEAR HAMMERSTEIN TYPE INTEGRAL EQUATIONS

In this paper, we use cone theory and a new method of computation of fixed point index to study a system of nonlinear Hammerstein type integral equations, and the existence of multiple positive solutions to the system is discussed.     

POSITIVE SOLUTIONS TO A SEMILINEAR SYSTEM OF SECOND-ORDER TWO-POINT BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEMS

By using Krasnosel'skii fixed point theorem of cone expansion-compression type, the results on the existence of one, two and three positive solutions are established for a semilinear second-order system of two-point boundary value problems.     

EXISTENCE AND NONEXISTENCE OF GLOBAL POSITIVE SOLUTIONS FOR DEGENERATE PARABOLIC EQUATIONS IN EXTERIOR DOMAINS

This article deals with the degenerate parabolic equations in exterior domains and with inhomogeneous Dirichlet boundary conditions. We obtain that pc = (σ+m)n/(n-σ-2) is its critical exponent provided max{-1, [(1-m)n-2]/(n+1)} σ n-2. This critical exponent is not the same as that for the corresponding equations with the boundary value 0, but is more closely tied to the critical exponent of the elliptic type degenerate equations. Furthermore, we demonstrate that if max{1, σ + m} p ≤ pc, then every positive solution of the equations blows up in finite time; whereas for ppc, the equations admit global positive solutions for some boundary values and initial data. Meantime, we also demonstrate that its positive solutions blow up in finite time provided n ≤σ+2.     

一类离散m点边值问题正解的存在性与多重性

本文运用锥上的不动点理论,得到了一类离散多点边值问题的一个正解及两个正 解存在性.     

一类非线性三阶三点边值问题的解和正解

考察了一类含有一阶和二阶导数的非线性三阶三点边值问题的解和正解.通过构造适当的Banach空间并且利用相应的积分方程建立了两个存在定理.主要结论表明,只要非线性项在其定义域的某个子集上的"高度"是适当的,该问题存在一个解或者正解.     

NONEXISTENCE OF POSITIVE SOLUTIONS FOR A FOUR-POINT BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEM FOR FRACTIONAL DIFFERENTIAL EQUATION

In this paper, we investigate the nonexistence of positive solutions for a class of four-point boundary value problem of nonlinear differential equation with fractional order derivative. We give sufficient conditions on nonlinear term and the parameter such that the boundary value problem has no positive solutions. Some examples are presented to illustrate the main results.     

NONEXISTENCE OF POSITIVE SOLUTIONS FOR A SEMI-LINEAR EQUATION INVOLVING THE FRACTIONAL LAPLACIAN IN R~N

In this paper,we consider the semilinear equation involving the fractional Laplacian in the Euclidian space R~n:(-△)~(α/2)u(x) = f(x_n)u~p(x),x ∈ R~n(0.1)in the subcritical case with 1 p (n+α)/(n-α).Instead of carrying out direct investigations on pseudo-differential equation(0.1),we first seek its equivalent form in an integral equation as below:u(x) = ∫R~n G∞(x,y) f(y_n) u~p(y)dy,(0.2)where G∞(x,y) is the Green's function associated with the fractional Laplacian in R~n.Employing the method of moving planes in integral forms,we are able to derive the nonexistence of positive solutions for(0.2) in the subcritical case.Thanks to the equivalence,same conclusion is true for(0.1).
