Complexes of the terdentate ligands bis[2-diphenylphosphino)ethyl]benzylamine (DPBA) and bis[2-(diphenylarsino)ethyl]benzylamine (DABA) with Co(II), Ni(II), Pd(II), Pt(II), Rh(III), Ir(III), Rh(I) and Ir(I) are reported. The ligand DPBA reacts with Co(II) ion to form two types of complexes: a high-spin, paramagnetic, tetrahedral Co(II) complex of composition [CoCl(DPBA)]Cl and a low-spin, paramagnetic, square-planar complex of composition [CoBr(DPBA)]B(C6H5)4. The reaction of DPBA with Ni(II) ion in methanol yields low-spin, diamagnetic, square-planar complexes of type [NiX(DPBA)]Y [X = Cl, Br or I; Y = Cl or B(C6H5)4]. Four-coordinate, square-planar, cationic complexes of type [MY(L+[M = Pd(II), Pt(II), Rh(I) or Ir(I); Y = Cl or P(C6H5)3; L = DPBA or DABA], were obtained on reaction of L with various starting materials containing these metal ions. Reaction of DPBA and DABA with rhodium and iridium trichlorides gave octahedral, neutral complexes of general formula [MCl3(L)] (M = Rh or Ir, L = DPBA or DABA). All the complexes were characterized on the basis of their elemental analysis, molarconductance data, magnetic susceptibilities, electronic spectra, IR spectral measurements, and1H and31P-{1H} NMR spectral data.  相似文献

Five cobalt(II) complexes, a normal complex Co(4-PPipzcdt)2 (4-PPipzcdt = 4-phenylpiperazine-1-carbodithioate), and four zwitterionic complexes, Co(4-PPipzcdtH)2X2 and Co(4-MPipzcdtH)2X2 (X = Cl, Br; 4-PPipzcdtH = 4-phenylpiperazine-1-carbodithioic acid, 4-MPipzcdtH = 4-methylpiperazine-1-carbodithioic acid), have been synthesized. Normal cobalt(III) complexes of the type Co(4-MPipzcdt)3 and Co2 {2-MPipz(cdt)2}3 (2-MPipz(cdt)2 = 2-methylpiperazine-1,4-dicarbodithioate) and two zwitterionic cobalt(III) complexes of the type Co(4-MPipzcdtH)3X3 (X = Cl, Br) have also been obtained. In addition to the room temperature IR and electronic spectra and magnetic susceptibility studies, all the complexes, except the normal Co(4-MPipzcdt)3 and Co(4-PPipzcdt)2 and zwitterionic Co(4-MPipzcdtH)3Cl3, have been investigated by variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements. The results of the variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility studies suggest that two cobalt(II) carbodithioates exhibit a square planar-tetrahedral equilibrium, while two cobalt(III) octahedral carbodithioates show a spin-crossover phenomenon.  相似文献

Osmium(II) Phthalocyanines: Preparation and Properties of Di(acido)phthalocyaninatoosmates(II) “H[Os(X)2Pc2?]” (X = Br, Cl) reacts in basic medium or in the melt with (nBu4N)X forming less stable, diamagnetic, darkgreen (nBu4N)2[Os(X)2Pc2?]. Similar dicyano and diimidazolido(Im) complexes are formed by the reaction of “H[Os(Cl)2Pc2?]” with excess ligand in the presence of [BH4]?. The cyclic voltammograms show up to three quasireversible redoxprocesses: E1/2(I) = 0.13 V (X = CN), ?0.03 V (Im), ?0.13 V (Br) resp. ?0.18 V (Cl) is metal directed (OsII/III), E1/2(II) = 0.69 V (Cl), 0.71 V (Br), 0.83 V (CN), 1.02 V (Im) is ligand directed (Pc2?/?) and E1/2(III) = 1.17 V (Cl) resp. 1.23 V (Br) is again metal directed (OsIII/IV). Between the typical “B” (~16.2 kK) and “Q” (~29.4 kK), “N regions” (~34.1 kK) up to seven strong “extra bands” of the phthalocyanine dianion (Pc2?) are observed in the uv-vis spectrum. Within the row CN > Im > Br > Cl, most of the bands are shifted slightly, the “extra bands” considerably more to lower energy in correlation with E1/2(I). The vibrational spectra are typical for the Pc2? ligand with D4h symmetry. M.i.r. bands at 514, 909, 1 173 and 1 331 cm?1 are specific for hexa-coordinated low spin OsII phthalocyanines. In the resonance Raman (r.r.) spectra polarized, depolarized or anomalously polarized deformation and stretching vibrations of the Pc2? ligand will be selectively enhanced, if the excitation frequency coincides with “extra bands”. With excitation at ~19.5 kK the intensity of the symmetrical Os? X stretching vibration at 295 cm?1 (X = Cl), 252 cm?1 (X = Im) and 181 cm?1 (X = Br) is r.r. enhanced, too. The asymmetrical Os? X stretching vibration is observed in the f.i.r. spectrum at 345 cm?1 (X = CN), 274 cm?1 (X = Cl), 261 cm?1 (X = Im) and 200 cm?1 (X = Br).  相似文献

Summary Diacetyldihydrazone (DADH) forms only six-coordinate complexes with iron(II), cobalt(II), nickel(II) and zinc(II). In M(DADH)2X2 (M=Fe, X=Br or I; M=Co, X=I; M=Ni, X=Cl, Br or NCS) the ligand is chelating in the [M(DADH)3]2+ cations, while in M(DADH)2X2 (M=Co, X=Cl or Br; M=Ni, X=Cl or Br) the ligand is probably bridging and bidentate. Diacetylbismonomethylhydrazone (DAMH), by contrast, forms predominantly tetrahedral complexes M(DAMH)X2 (M=Fe or Co, X=Cl or Br; M=Ni, X=Br; M=Co, X=NCS; M=Zn, X=Cl, Br or NCS) and some octahedral complexes M(DAMH)2X2 (M=Co, X=NCS; M=Ni, X=Br). The i.r. spectra, electronic spectra and magnetic moments of the complexes are discussed.  相似文献

The coordination behaviour of the novel ligand, HMPz4Cy, is reported, together with solid state isolation of its diamagnetic cobalt(III) complexes, [Co(MPz4Cy)2]X · nH2O (X = Cl, Br, NO3, ClO4 and BF4). I.r. and 1H-n.m.r. data for the free ligand and its CoIII complexes confirm that the ligand, HMPz4Cy, acts as a uninegative anion with NNS tridentate function via the pyrazolyl nitrogen (tertiary), azomethine nitrogen and thiol sulphur. Electronic spectra (both solid and solution) are commensurate with a distorted octahedral environment for the reported CoIII species. Cyclic voltammograms of CoIII complexes indicate a quasireversible Co+3/Co+2 couple. X-ray crystallography of a representative species, [Co(MPz4Cy)2]Cl · 2.75H2O (C2, monoclinic), has shown unambiguously that the two ligands are orthogonally coordinated to the central CoIII ion with both the thiolato sulphurs and both pyrazolyl nitrogen atoms in cis positions.  相似文献

Reactions of cymantrenecarboxylic acid (CO)3MnC5H4COOH (CymCOOH) with Ni(II) and Co(II) pivalates in boiling THF followed by extraction of the products with diethyl ether or benzene and treatment with triphenylphosphine gave the binuclear complexes LM(CymCOO)4ML (M = Ni (I) and Co (II); L = PPh3). Treatment of the benzene extract of the intermediate cobalt cymantrenecarboxylate with 2,6-lutidine (L’) yielded the trinuclear complex L’Co(CymCOO)3Co(CymCOO)3CoL’ (III). Complex I is antiferromagnetic; μeff decreases from 3.7 to 0.9 μB in a temperature range from 300 to 2 K. Structures I-III were identified using X-ray diffraction. The frameworks of complexes I and II are like Chinese lanterns, having four carboxylate bridges and axial ligands L (Ni-P, 2.358(1) Å; Co-P, 2.412(2) Å). The metal atoms are not bonded to each other (Ni…Ni, 2.7583(9) Å; Co…Co, 2808 (2) Å). In complex III, either terminal Co atom is coordinated to one ligand L’ (Co-N, 2.059(2) Å). The Co atoms form a linear chain showing no M-M bonds (Co…Co, 3.346(1) Å), in which either terminal Co atom is linked with the central Co atom by three carboxylate bridges (on average, Cocentr-O, 2.164 Å; COterm-O, 2.094 Å). In one of three carboxylate groups, only one carboxylate O atom serves as a bridge, while the other is bonded to the terminal Co atom only (Coterm-O, 2.094 and 2.389 Å); so this carboxylate group is a bridging and chelating ligand.  相似文献

Summary Treatment of ReX(CO)3(dppm) [X = Cl or Br; dppm = bis(diphenylphosphino)methane] with halogens gives the seven-coordinate ReX3(CO)2(dppm) complexes as well as ReBr4(dppm). The ReCl3(CO)(bipy), ReBr4(bipy) and ReBr3Cl(bipy) complexes and the previously characterised ReX3(CO)2(bipy) have all been isolated from the ReX(CO)3(bipy) — X2 systems, (bipy = 2,2-bipyridyl).  相似文献

Four rhodium dimers have been synthesized with a bridging diisocyanide ligand, dmb (2,2-dimethyl-1,3-diisocyanopropane): [Rh2(dmb)4](BPh4)2, [Rh2(dmb)4Cl2]Cl2, [Rh2(dmb)4I2](PF6)2, and [Rh2(dmb)2(dppm)2](BPh4)2 (dppm = bis(diphenylphosphino)methane). The complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis and mass spectrometry, as well as UV-visible, IR, and 1H NMR spectroscopies. X-ray crystal structures of the rhodium(I) complexes, [Rh2(dmb)4](BPh4)2 . 1.5CH3CN (3.2330(4), 3.2265(4) A) and [Rh2(dmb)2(dppm)2](BPh4)2.0.5CH3OH . 0.2H2O (3.0371(5) A), confirm the existence of short Rh...Rh interactions. The metal-metal separation for the rhodium(II) adduct, [Rh(2)(dmb)4Cl2]Cl2.6CHCl3 (2.8465(6) A), is consistent with a formal Rh-Rh bond. For the two luminescent rhodium(I) dimers and six previously investigated diisocyano-bridged dimers with and without dppm ligands, the intense spin-allowed dsigma-->psigma absorption band maximum shifts to longer wavelengths with decreasing Rh...Rh separation, and there is an approximate correlation between band energy and the inverse of the metal-metal separation cubed. Both [Rh2(dmb)4]2+ and [Rh2(dmb)4(dppm)2]2+ undergo oxidative addition in the presence of iodine. In the conversion of [Rh2(dmb)4]2+ to [Rh2(dmb)4I2]2+, the observed intermediate is tentatively assigned to a tetramer composed of two rhodium dimers. In the case of [Rh2(dmb)2(dppm)2]2+, no intermediate was detected.  相似文献

We report the preparation of bromo-aryl functionalized bis(diphenylphosphino)amine ligands of the type Ph2PNArPPh2 (1, Ar = p-BrC6H4; 2, Ar = p-BrC6H4–C6H4) and their coordination properties. Mono- and dinuclear complexes were formed with Cu(I), Au(I), Pd(II), Pt(II) and tetranuclear cobalt carbonyl clusters were obtained. The crystal structures of [PdCl2(1)] (3), [PdCl2(2)] (4), [(AuCl)(μ-1)] (6), [Co4(CO)5(μ-CO)3(μ-dppa)(μ-1)] (dppa = Ph2PNHPPh2) (8) and [Co4(CO)5(μ-CO)3(μ-dppm)(μ-1)] (dppm = Ph2PCH2PPh2) (9) have been determined by X-ray diffraction. Whereas the diphosphine ligands chelate the metal center in 3 and 4, and in the Pt(II) complex 5 which is analogous to 3, ligand 1 acts as a bridge in 6 where the separation between the two Au(I) centers is 3.0402(5) Å. In the tetranuclear clusters 8 and 9, and in the cluster 10 analogous to 9 with 2 as bridging ligand, two orthogonal Co–Co edges are bridged by a diphosphine ligand and each cobalt center is thus coordinated by one P donor. Complex 3 was shown to react with the Pd(0) complex [Pd(dba)2] (dba = dibenzylideneacetone) to afford a tetranuclear complex resulting from both the insertion of Pd(0) into the ligand C–Br bond and Pd(II)/Pd(0) comproportionation to form a doubly ligand-bridged Pd(I)–Pd(I) core.  相似文献

The structure of [Co3(CN)2 {(OH)4} (NH3)8] [Co2(NO2)6 {(OH)2, NO2}] · H2O has been determined by X-ray methods. The compound crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2h5–P21/n with a = 7.21, b = 12.38, c = 33.13 Å, β = 94°, Z = 4. The crystals contain trinuclear cations in which three Co(III) atoms are bound to two pairs of oxygen atoms. At the central Co atom there are two CN ligands in the cis position. The cation is of symmetry C2. The anion is found to be a binuclear Co(III) complex. The two Co atoms are bound to two OH and one NO2 groups.  相似文献

Summary Some cobalt(II), nickel(II), copper(II) and copper(I) complexes of 2-mercapto-5-methyl-1,3,4-thiadiazole (mttz) and 2,5-bis(methylmercapto)-1,3,4-thiadiazole (bmttz) have been prepared and studied by conductometric and magnetochemical methods and by electronic and i. r. spectroscopy. The complexes CoX2 · 2L (L=mttz, X=Cl, Br or I; L=bmttz, X=Br or I), CoCl2 · bmttz are pseudotetrahedral, and the complexes NiX2 · mttz (X=Cl or Br), NiCl2 · 1.3 bmttz, NiBr2 · 1.5 bmttz are pseudooctahedral. The complex Co3(OAc)2 · 4(mttz-H) · 2H2O has an undefinite constitution. The polynuclear complexes CuCl2 · 1.3 mttz and CuBr2 · 1.2 mttz contain presumably pseudotetrahedral chromophores, the chloride having a subnormal magnetic moment. The CuX2 · 2 bmttz (X=Cl, Br or NO3) complexes have a six coordination with bridging ligand molecules. In the CuX · 2 mttz (X=Cl, Br or ClO4) complexes the anions are coordinated, while in the CuClO4 · 2 bmttz complex the perchlorate anion is ionically bonded.  相似文献

Summary The reduction of nickel(II) halides with NaBH4 in the presence of different ligands, L=PPh3, AsPh3, SbPh3, has been studied. With a molar ratio L/Ni=3, new complexes NiX(SbPh3)3, X=Cl, Br, I, were obtained. With a molar ratio L/Ni=2, dimeric species [NiXL2]2, X=Cl, Br, I; L=PPh3, AsPh3, SbPh3, were isolated. They are unstable and decompose easily in the solid and rapidly in solution, so that pure samples were only identified for X=Cl, L=PPh3, AsPh3, SbPh3; X=Br, L=PPh3 and X=I, L=PPh3. With a molar ratio L/Ni=1, complexes [NiXL]n (probably polymeric) were obtained. They are very unstable and pure samples could only be isolated when X=Cl, L=PPh3. Impure substances containing variable amounts of decomposition products were obtained in all the remaining cases. The chemical and structural behaviour of these complexes is discussed.  相似文献

New anionic carbonylcobalt(I) complexes [X2Co(CO)2(PPh3)](PR4) (X=Cl, PR4 = PBzPh3 (I); X = Br, PR4 = PEtPh3 (II)) have been prepared by reduction of the cobalt(II) halides with NaBH4 in the presence of PPh3 and the phosphonium salt PR4X. Cleavage of halide bridges in dimeric or polymeric [XCo(PPh3)2]n and [XCo(PPh3)]n gives the neutral dicarbonyl derivatives XCo(CO)2PPh3)2. Treatment of ClCo(CO)2(PPh3)2 with alkylating agents gives the known σ- and η- organocobalt(I) derivatives, and reactions with TIClO4 in the presence of various amounts of different mono- and bi-dentate phosphines give the cationic tricarbonyl [Co(CO)3(PPh3)2]+, dicarbonyl [Co(CO)2(PMePh2)3]+ and monocarbonyl [Co(CO)L4]+ complexes (L4 = 4P(OMe)3, 2 dppe and 2dppm). The dppm complex crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/c with a 17.895(6), b 10.751(2), c 24.687(4) Å, β 98.92(1)°, and Dcalc 1.35 g cm−3 for Z = 4. A final R value of 0.077 ( Rw = 0.061), based on 2656 observed reflections, was obtained. The cobalt atom exhibits a distorted trigonal bipyramidal geometry. The perchlorate anion is severely disordered or freely rotating.  相似文献

Copper(II) and cobalt(II) complexes with 4-(3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)-6-methyl-2-phenylpyrimidine (L) of the general formula MLX2 (M = Cu(II), X = Cl and Br; M = Co(II), X = Cl, Br, and I) were obtained. According to X-ray diffraction data, CuLBr2 and CoLX2 (X = Cl, Br, and I) are mononuclear molecular complexes. The ligand L is coordinated to the metal atom in a chelating bidentate fashion through the N atoms of the pyrimidine and pyrazole rings. The coordination polyhedron of the metal atom is extended to a distorted tetrahedron by two halide ions. In solution, CuLBr2 undergoes slow transformation into CuL(1?x)L′ x Br2 and the binuclear (X-ray diffraction data) Cu(I) complex [CuL(1?x)L′ x Br]2 (L′ is 4-(4-bromo-3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)-6-methyl-2-phenylpyrimidine). The complexes MLX2 show weak antiferromagnetic interactions between the M2+ ions.  相似文献

Crystalline cesium nitratometalates(II), Cs2[M(NO3)4] (M = Mn ( I ), Co ( II ), Ni ( III ), and Zn ( IV )) were synthesized from M(NO3)2 · n H2O and CsNO3 by heating at 80–120 °C over 10–12 h. According to X-ray crystal structure analysis, the compounds are built from Cs+ cations and [M(NO3)4]2– anions. The latter differ by the type of metal coordination: a dodecahedron for Mn in I (CN = 8, rMn–O 2.24–2.37 Å), a seven coordination for Co in II (CN = 4 + 3, rCo–O 2.03–2.16 Å and 2.21–2.35 Å) and a tetrahedral distorted dodecahedron for Zn in IV (CN = 4 + 4, rZn–O 1.98–2.15 Å and 2.38–2.72 Å). Ni atom in III has a distorted octahedral NiO6 environment provided by two unidentate and two bidentate NO3 groups with Ni–O distances of 2.01–2.14 Å. The differences in metal coordination are discussed in terms of valence electron configurations, ionic radii, and the packing effects.  相似文献

Summary Pyridine-4-carboxaldehyde thionicotinoyl hydrazone (4-PTNH) forms 1:1 adducts with metal(II) halides and 1:2 complexes (metal to ligand) with metal(II) thiocyanates. Magnetic and spectral studies indicate polymeric octahedral geometry for M(4-PTNH)X2 (M=CoII or CuII, X=Cl; M=NiII, X=Cl, Br or I), five coordinate geometry for Co(4-PTNH)X2 (X=Br or I) and octahederal geometry for [M(4-PTNH)2(NCS)2] (M=CoII or NiII). I.r. spectral studies show that 4-PTNH acts as a neutral bidentate ligand in all the complexes, the bonding sites being the thione sulphur and azomethine nitrogen.  相似文献

Reaction of Mo(2)Cl(4)(dppm)(2) (dppm = bis(diphenylphosphino)methane) with 6 equiv of [n-Bu(4)N][CN] or [Et(4)N][CN] in dichloromethane yields [n-Bu(4)N](2)[Mo(2)(CN)(6)(dppm)(2)] (1) and [Et(4)N](2)[Mo(2)(CN)(6)(dppm)(2)] (2), respectively. The corresponding one- and two-electron oxidation products [n-Bu(4)N][Mo(2)(CN)(6)(dppm)(2)] (3) and Mo(2)(CN)(6)(dppm)(2) (4)were prepared by reactions of 1 with the oxidant NOBF(4). Single-crystal X-ray structures of 2.2CH(3)CN, 3.2CH(3)CN.2H(2)O, and 4.2CH(3)NO(2) were performed, and the results confirmed that all three complexes contain identical ligand sets with trans dppm ligands bisecting the Mo(2)(mu-CN)(2)(CN)(4) equatorial plane. The binding of the bridging cyanide ligands is affected by the oxidation state of the dimolybdenum core as evidenced by an increase in side-on pi-bonding overlap of the mu-CN in going from 1 to 4. The greater extent of pi-donation into Mo orbitals is accompanied by a lengthening of the Mo-Mo distance (2.736(1) A in Mo(2)(II,II) (2), 2.830(1) A in Mo(2)(II,III) (3), and 2.936(1) A in Mo(2)(III,III) (4)). A computational study of the closed-shell members of this homologous series, [Mo(2)(CN)(6)(dppm)(2)](n)() (n = 2-, 0), indicates that the more pronounced side-on pi-donation evident in the X-ray structure of 4 leads to significant destabilization of the delta orbital and marginal stabilization of the delta() orbitals with respect to nearly degenerate delta and delta orbitals in the parent compound, 2. The loss of delta contributions combined with the reduced orbital overlap due to higher charges on molybdenum centers in oxidized complexes 3 and 4 is responsible for the observed increase in the length of the Mo-Mo bond.  相似文献

Crystalline NO[Mn(NO3)3] ( I ) and (NO)2[Co(NO3)4] ( II ) were synthesized by reaction of the corresponding metal and a liquid N2O4/ethylacetate mixture. I is orthorhombic, Pca21, a = 9.414(2), b = 15.929(3), c = 10.180(2) Å, Z = 4, R1 = 0.0286. II is monoclinic, C2/c, a = 14.463(3), b = 19.154(4), c = 13.724(3) Å, β = 120.90(3), Z = 12, R1 = 0.0890. Structure I consists of [Mn(NO3)3] sheets with NO+ cations between them. Two types of Mn atoms have CNMn = 7 and 8. Structure II is ionic containing isolated [Co(NO3)4]‐anions and NO+ cations with CNCo = 8. Crystals of Mn(NO3)2 ( III ) and Co(NO3)2 ( IV ) were obtained by concentration of metal nitrate hydrate solutions in 100% HNO3 in a desiccator with P2O5. III is cubic, Pa 3, a = 7.527(2) Å, Z = 4, R1 = 0.0987. IV is trigonal, R 3, a = 10.500(2), c = 12.837(3) Å, Z = 12, R1 = 0.0354. The three dimensional structure III is isotypic to the strontium and barium dinitrates. Structure IV contains a three dimensional network of interconnected Co(NO3)6/3 units with a distorted octahedral coordination environment of Co atoms. General correlations between central atom coordination and coordination modes of NO3 groups are discussed.  相似文献

Abstract

Reactions of a series of binuclear, phosphine bridged late transition metal complexes, Pd2Cl2(dppm)2, Pd2Cl2(dmpm)2, Pd2Cl2(Ph2Ppy)2, Pt2Cl2(dppm)2, and Ag2Br2(dppm)2, with Me3SiX (X = Br, I), Me3GeBr and Me3SnBr were examined by 31P NMR spectroscopy. Rapid exchange of Pd-Cl, Pt-Cl and Ag-Br bonds for Pd-X, Pt-X (X = Br, I) and Ag-I bonds was observed to be independent of the nature of the phosphine ligand, the nature of the metal center or the group IV element. Differences in Lewis acidity of the transition metal center as a function of the ligands and the identity of the transition metal and differences in the basicity of the Me3EBr ligands are proposed to account for the failure to detect intermediates in these reactions similar to those reported for reactions between Pd2Cl2(dppm)2 and Me3SiX.  相似文献

Exchange reactions of trans-[PdXPh(SbPh3)2] (1) (X=Cl or Br) with ligands L in refluxing dichloromethane give the palladium phenyl complexes [PdXPhL2] (X=Cl, L=PPh3, AsPh3, L2=2,2′-bipyridine (bipy), 4,4′-dimethyl-2,2′-bipyridine (dmbipy), 1,10-phenanthroline (phen); X=Br, L=PPh3, L2=bipy). Treatment of the complexes with bis(diphenylphosphino)methane (dppm) in refluxing dichloromethane gives [PdXPh(dppm]2. These complexes have been characterised by microanalysis, IR and 1H NMR spectroscopic data together with single crystal X-ray determinations of the phenyl palladium complexes, trans-[PdClPh(PPh3)2], [PdClPh(bipy)], [PdClPh(dppm)]2, and [PdBrPh(dppm)]2.  相似文献
