The multiplicity of charged hadrons in the current fragmentation region of both the c.m.s. and the Breit frame of deep inelastic scattering is calculated and compared with the HERA data. The results are in agreement with Yang's hypothesis that the efficiency of high energy processes increases at larger momentum transfer, although the effect is rather weak numerically at present values of . The phase diagrams and magnetizations of Ising nanowires with simple core–shell structure are investigated by the use of the effective field theory with correlations. A lot of characteristic behaviors observed in ferromagnetic and ferrimagnetic materials as well as novel phenomena have been obtained, although one section of the system is consisted of one spin-1/2 surface shell atom and one spin-1/2 core atom and they are coupled with a positive or a negative shell–core exchange interaction.  相似文献

Color-magnetic interaction with a smearing function found from the fit to the - splitting is strong enough to support a bound state of a single pair. We present some piloting calculations in order to illustrate the eigenenergy dependence on the cutoff parameter for different choices of the smearing function. In the threequark system the spin-spin interaction can lead to the existence of the short-range correlations in each1 S o qq subsystem, thereby providing the dynamical mechanism for the quark-diquark picture of the proton.  相似文献

The critical phenomena in Ni are probed by pulsedSR method under longitudinal- and zero external magnetic fields. The sample magnetization around the critical temperature is confirmed simultaneously by bulk magnetization measurement in situ, disappearance of transverseSR signal and recovery of asymmetry under longitudinal field. At the same time, the ratio of the + hyperfine field to the bulk magnetization in the ferromagnetic phase below the critical temperature is determined from the observables obtained only in the present experiment. The zero- and low-field longitudinal relaxation rate of muon does not diverge in approaching toT c in the paramagnetic region, but seems to reach a saturation value.This work is supported by the Grand-in-Aid of the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture and Science.  相似文献

We investigate the perturbations of charged scalar field in 5-dimensional Gauss–Bonnet AdS black hole backgrounds. From the perturbation behaviors we obtain the objective picture on how the high curvature influences the spacetime perturbation and the condensation of the scalar hair. The high curvature effects can also be read from the linear response function such as the susceptibility and the correlation length, when the system approaches the critical point. We find that the Gauss–Bonnet term does not affect the critical exponents of the system and they still take the mean-field values.  相似文献

An order parameter is introduced in describing the singular thermodynamical behaviour of Kerr–Newman black holes in the vicinity of a certain critical temperature. The mean square fluctuation of the order parameter is calculated. Many complex systems display self-organized critical states characterized by 1/f frequency scaling of power spectra. Global variables such as the electroencephalogram, scale as 1/f, which could be the sign of self-organized critical states in neuronal activity. By analyzing simultaneous recordings of global and neuronal activities, we confirm the 1/f scaling of global variables for selected frequency bands, but show that neuronal activity is not consistent with critical states. We propose a model of 1/f scaling which does not rely on critical states, and which is testable experimentally.  相似文献

Extensive simulations of a hard sphere fluid confined between two planar hard walls show the onset of crystalline layers at the walls at about 98.3% of bulk crystallization density rho(f) independent of the wall separations L(z), and is, hence, a single wall phenomenon. As the bulk density far from the wall rho(b) increases, the thickness of the crystalline film appears to increase logarithmically, with (rho(f)-rho(b)) indicating complete wetting by the hard sphere crystal of the wall-fluid interface. Increasing rho(b) further, we observe a jump in the adsorption which depends on L(z) and corresponds to capillary freezing. The formation of crystalline layers below bulk crystallization, the logarithmic growth of the crystalline film, its independence of L(z), and its clear distinction from capillary freezing lend strong evidence for complete wetting by the hard sphere crystal at the wall-fluid interface.  相似文献

In this paper,we give the general interaction solution to the(3+1)-dimensional Jimbo–Miwa equation.The general interaction solution contains the classical interaction solution.As an example,by using the generalized bilinear method and symbolic computation by using Maple software,novel interaction solutions under certain constraints of the(3+1)-dimensional Jimbo–Miwa equation are obtained.Via three-dimensional plots,contour plots and density plots with the help of Maple,the physical characteristics and structures of these waves are described very well.These solutions greatly enrich the exact solutions to the(3+1)-dimensional Jimbo–Miwa equation found in the existing literature.  相似文献

Ferritin stores iron as ferrihydrite inside a shell composed of H and L protein chains. H chains contain ferroxidase centres catalysing Fe2+ oxidation, while L chains lack these centres but seem to promote ferrihydrite nucleation. Mössbauer spectroscopic studies of recombinant H-chain ferritins show the following: (1) fast Fe2+ oxidation is associated with the formation of Fe3+ dimers at the ferroxidase centre; (2) within 30 min, a portion of the dimers have split to Fe3+ monomers and some monomers have moved to the threefold channels; (3) over longer times, a trend dimer monomer core is established. Core formation is accelerated if L chains are present.  相似文献

The core and valence levels of β-PbO2 have been studied using hard X-ray photoemission spectroscopy ( = 6000 eV and 7700 eV). The Pb 4f core levels display an asymmetric lineshape which may be fitted with components associated with screened and unscreened final states. It is found that intrinsic final state screening is suppressed in the near-surface region. A shift in the O 1s binding energy due to recoil effects is observed under excitation at 7700 eV. It is shown that conduction band states have substantial 6s character and are selectively enhanced in hard X-ray photoemission spectra. However, the maximum amplitude in the Pb 6s partial density of states is found at the bottom of the valence band and the associated photoemission peak shows the most pronounced enhancement in intensity at high photon energy.  相似文献

We demonstrate that there is no ideal glass transition in a binary hard-disk mixture by explicitly constructing an exponential number of jammed packings with densities spanning the spectrum from the accepted amorphous glassy state to the phase-separated crystal. Thus the configurational entropy cannot be zero for an ideal amorphous glass, presumed distinct from the crystal in numerous theoretical and numerical estimates in the literature. This objection parallels our previous critique of the idea that there is a most-dense random (close) packing for hard spheres [Torquato, Phys. Rev. Three recently proposed new string theories have the paradoxical property of being very similar to the Neveu-Schwarz-Ramond (NRS) model in the light-cone gauge, but having the wrong space-time dimensions. Inspired by this suggestion we examine whether Lorentz algebras can be constructed outside their usual critical dimension, by considering the lowest states of the Veneziano and NSR models, and using the complete set of operators that can be constructed out of products of oscillators.  相似文献

Diffusion-limited aggregation (DLA) is a model which represents noisy growth limited by diffusion. This process is quite common in nature and the simple algorithm gives a good representation of the large-scale structure of many natural objects. The clusters grown in the computer and the real objects in question are tenuous and approximately self-similar. A good deal is known about the algorithm, but a complete theory is not yet available. I review the current state of knowledge about the model, its applications and theoretical analysis of the results.  相似文献
