We give the algebra q /* dual to the matrix Lorentz quantum group q of Podles-Woronowicz, and Watamuraet al. As a commutation algebra, it has the classical form q /* U q (sl(2, )) U q (sl(2, )). However, this splitting is not preserved by the coalgebra structure which we also give. For the derivation, we use a generalization of the approach of Sudbery, viz. tangent vectors at the identity.  相似文献

In Clifford groups, a nonassociative product is defined which leads to the definition of nonassociative groups. These nonassociative groups have matrix representations on the condition that the row by column product of two matrices is replaced by the column by column product. A nonassociative group of transformations connected with the Lorentz group is determined, together with its irreducible, double-valued matrix representation, whose matrices undergo the column by column product.  相似文献

A variety of rigorous inequalities for critical exponents is proved. Most notable is the low-temperature Josephson inequalitydv +2 2–. Others are 1 1 +v, 1 1 , 1,d 1 + 1/ (for d),dv, 3 + (for d), 4 , and 2m 2m+2 (form 2). The hypotheses vary; all inequalities are true for the spin-1/2 Ising model with nearest-neighbor ferromagnetic pair interactions.NSF Predoctoral Fellow (1976–1979). Let U(a, ) be a representation of the Poincaré group with mass and helicity zero, realized in the space of C -functions with compact support on 3, without the origin. Let U (2)(a, ) denote the tensorial product of U(a, ) by itself. We explicitly determine the cocycles of extension of U(a, ) by U (2)(a, ) and we prove that the nontrivial cohomology is indexed by (u(),),u()D 1 ]0,3\,.  相似文献

Quantum automata are mathematical models for quantum computing. We analyze the existing quantum pushdown automata, propose a q quantum pushdown automata (qQPDA), and partially clarify their connections. We emphasize some advantages of our qQPDA over others. We demonstrate the equivalence between qQPDA and another QPDA. We indicate that qQPDA are at least as powerful as the QPDA of Moore and Crutchfield with accepting words by empty stack. We introduce the quantum languages accepted by qQPDA and prove that every -q quantum context-free language is also an -q quantum context-free language for any (0, 1) and (0, 1).  相似文献

The operatorU(t,t') giving transition probabilities between finite times or connecting free and interacting fields does not exist (apart from the ultraviolet divergence problem) because of the 3-translation invariance of current quantum field theory. To remedy this, the idealization that one has an infinite timeT = to prepare initial, or measure final,n-particle momentum eigenstates is discarded here. It is shown that random space-time (which itself eliminates ultraviolet divergences from field theory) implies and fixes uniquely a random momentum space if free particle momentaK are determined by time-of-flight measurements withT < . In particular, the dispersion ofK m/T, where is the space-time dispersion andm is the particle mass. Stochastic momentum space is incorporated into field theory in a preliminary way; because 3-translation form-invariance is slightly violated, the unitaryU-operator expressed as the usualT-exponential exists and the limitU S ast ,t' – is welldefined withoutad hoc tricks like the adiabatic cut-off. A frame-dependence is necessarily introduced into fields andU-operator, and the transformation properties expressing Lorentz covariance are of the same more general type encountered in previous work on quantum field theory over stochastic spacetime.  相似文献

It has been proposed that some posets of quantum logic could be embedded into lattices in order to recover the lattice structure avoiding the introduction of ad hoc axioms. We consider here the embedding s of any posetS into the complete lattice s of its closed ideals (normal embedding ofS) and show that s can be characterized (up to a lattice isomorphism) either by means of a density property or by means of a minimality property. Both of these suggest that the normal embedding satisfies some intuitive conditions which make it preferable with respect to other possible embeddings ofS. We consider the poset of all the effects associated to yes-no experiments and briefly comment on the application of the normal embedding in this case. The possibility of giving a physical interpretation to the elements of is also discussed.Research sponsored by CNR and INFN (Italy).  相似文献

A cluster of two atoms described by thes-f model with Coulomb repulsion has been considered. The interaction between localized 4f electrons (S=1/2) is taken in the molecular field approximation. The thermodynamic quantities like magnetization, specific heat and correlation functions n , n , S z n , S z n , S z (n n ), n n and S + a + a as functions of temperature are presented for different band fillingN=0, 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2. The dependence of Curie temperature onN is calculated. The phase diagram forN=1 (T=0K) shows the possibility of existence of two phases: paramagnetic and ferromagnetic. The Curie temperature and the specific heat as functions ofN exhibit similar trends as found in experiments on doped magnetic semiconductors.  相似文献

We consider lattice classical ferromagnetic spin systems at high temperature (1) with nearest neighbor interactions and even single-spin distributions (ssd). Associated with each system is an imaginary time lattice quantum field theory. It is known that there is a particle of mass m–ln in the energy-momentum spectrum. If s 4–3s 22<0, where s k is the kth moment of the ssd, and is sufficiently small, we show that in the two-particle subspace there is no mass spectrum up to 2m. For >0 we show that the only mass spectrum in (m, 2m) is a bound state of mass m b=2m+ln(1–)+O(), where =(+2s 22)–1. A bound on the decay of the kernel of a Bethe–Salpeter equation is obtained and used to prove these results.  相似文献

Let t be an analytic solution of the Schrödinger equation with the initial condition . Let t be the solution of the Schrödinger equation with the initial condition =, where is an analytic function. When 0, then t (x) t (x)1 ( t (x)), where t (x) trajectory starting from x. We relate this result to Feynman's sum over trajectories and complex stochastic differential equations.  相似文献

We demonstrate with the example of Cahn-Hilliard dynamics that the macroscopic kinetics of first-order phase transitions exhibits an infinite number of constants of motion. Moreover, this result holds in any space dimension for a broad class of nonequilibrium processes whose macroscopic behavior is governed by equations of the form /t = W(), where is an order parameter,W is an arbitrary function of , and is a linear Hermitian operator. We speculate on the implications of this result.  相似文献

Let (,M) be a fuzzy quantum poset of type I, II, or FQP of type I, II for short. For Boolean representations of fuzzy quantum spaces, by a representation of (,M) we mean a quantum logic (i.e., an orthocomplemented-orthocomplete orthomodular poset with a homomorphismh: such that for any states onM and any observable ¯X on there is a state ¯s on and observableX onM such that the following diagram commutes [where () is a Borel-algebra of the real line ]: We prove that a representation of FQP of type I always exists and a representation of FQP of type II exists in some cases.  相似文献

Understanding quantum theory as a general theory of prediction, we reconstruct abstract quantum theory. Abstract means the general frame of quantum theory, without reference to a three-dimensional position space, to concepts like particle or field, or to special laws of dynamics. Reconstruction is the attempt to do this by formulating simple and plausible postulates on prediction in order to derive the basic concepts of quantum theory from them. Thereby no law of classical physics is presupposed which would then have to be quantized. We briefly discuss the relationship of theory and interpretation in physics and the fundamental role of time as a basic concept for physics. Then a number ofassertions are given, formulated as succinctly as possible in order to make them easily quotable and comparable. The assertions are arranged in four groups: heuristic principles, verbal definitions of some terms, three basic postulates, and consequences. The three postulates of separable alternatives, indeterminism, and kinematics are the central points of this work. These brief assertions are commented upon, and their relationship with the interpretation of quantum theory is discussed. Also given are an outlook on the further development into concrete quantum theory and some philosophical reflections.  相似文献

The classical non-linear Schrödinger equation associated with a symmetric Lie algebra =km is known to possess a class of conserved quantities which from a realization of the algebrak []. The construction is now extended to provide a realization of the Kac-Moody algebrak[, –1] (with central extension). One can then define auxiliary quantities to obtain the full algebra [, –1]. This leads to the formal linearization of the system.  相似文献

We extend the bichromatic majority model by including (one-dimensional isotropic) correlations and numerically discuss, through Monte Carlo simulations, the simple, 1/3, and 2/3 majority rules. We calculate, as functions of the concentration and correlation degree, the mean finite cluster size, and the order parameterm as well as their respective critical exponents and. We find1 regardless of the correlation degree or the type of majority. Also, a supplementary divergence of is observed at the>0 borderline.  相似文献

The impurity contribution to the resistivity in zero field (T) of dilute hexagonal single crystals of ZnMn, CdMn and MgMn has been studied in the mK range on samples cut parallel () and perpendicular () to thec-axis, using a SQUID technique for the measurements. Typical spin glass behavior is found in (T) as well as (T) for all alloys, with Kondo like logarithmic increases at higher temperatures and maxima atT m at lower temperatures, indicating the influence of impurity interactions. The differences in the corresponding isotropic resistivity poly(T) between the three systems can qualitatively be understood within the framework of a theoretical model by Larsen, describing (T) as a function of universal quantitiesT/T K and RKKY/T K , where RKKY is the RKKY-interaction strength andT K the Kondo temperature. With respect to the two lattice directions studied, the behavior of (T and (T is anisotropic in the Kondo regime as well as in the range where ordering becomes important. While the anisotropy in the Kondo slope can be understood by an anisotropic unitarity limit, the understanding of the anisotropy in region where impurity interactions are important remains problematic.Dedicated to Prof. Dr. S. In this paper, we study the spectrum of the Dirichlet Laplacian in a bounded (or, more generally, of finite volume) open set R n (n1) with fractal boundary of interior Minkowski dimension (n–1,n]. By means of the technique of tessellation of domains, we give the exact second term of the asymptotic expansion of the counting functionN() (i.e. the number of positive eigenvalues less than ) as +, which is of the form /2 times a negative, bounded and left-continuous function of . This explains the reason why the modified Weyl-Berry conjecture does not hold generally forn2. In addition, we also obtain explicit upper and lower bounds on the second term ofN().  相似文献

LetN, be von-Neumann-Algebras on a Hilbert space , a comon cyclic and separarting vector. Assume to be cyclic and separating also forN . Denote byJ , J N the modular conjugations to (, ), and N the associated modular operators. If and these data define in a canonical way a conformal quantum field theory in a cricle. Conversely, the chiral part of a conformal quantum field theory in two dimensions always yields such data in a natural way.Partly supported by the DFG, SFB 288 Differentiageometrie und Quantenphysik  相似文献

An analytic gravitational fieldZ (Z y ) is shown to include electromagnetic phenomena. In an almost flat and almost static complex geometryds 2 =zdzdz of four complex variables z=t, x, y, x the field equationsR Rz = –(U U Z ) imply the conventional equations of motion and the conventional electromagnetic field equations to first order if =(Z v) and =(z ) are expressed in terms of the conventional mass density function , the conventional charge density function , and a pressurep as follows: v=const=p/c 2–10–29 gm/cm3.  相似文献
