The inclusive production of Ξ+ and Ξ? hyperons is investigated in K+ p interactions at 32 GeV/c. The production cross sections, 36.4±9 μb for the Ξ+ and 6.5±3 μb for the Ξ?, are rising strongly with energy similarly to Λ and Λ production in K+ p interactions. The Ξ+ are produced preferentially in the forward direction in the c.m.s., while the Ξ? are produced dominantly backwards. The average transverse momenta 〈pTΞ+=0.73±0.09 GeV/c and 〈pTΞ?=0.58±0.09 GeV/c.  相似文献

Spin lattice relaxation T1 of naturally abundant 13C nuclei in squaric acid was measured close to the antiferroelectric-paraelectric phase transition temperature Tc = 373 K. A rapid increase in 1T1 is observed close to Tc coming from above, which follows the power law 1T1 ~ ε?1.4 where ε = (T ? Tc)Tc. This behaviour is explained on the basis of the two-dimensional character of the fluctuations.  相似文献

We studied the energy width and the width in reciprocal space Δq of the central mode of SrTiO3 above Tc. At Tc+4° we observed an energy width of about 6×10?7 eV. If the measured Δq is interpreted by a correlation length Δq?1 = ξ = ξ0??23 we obtain ξ0 = 75 A?.  相似文献

We have determined the behavior of the density of states in the mixed state of superconducting alloys for TTc. The local density of states tends towards the BCS expression with the order parameter playing the role of the energy gap. The singularities are smeared out by the spatial average. The effective normal core radius of a vortex diverges like (1 ? TTc)?13 for TTc unlike the coherence length which diverges like (1 ? TTc)?12.  相似文献

Measurements of the temperature and pressure dependences of the resistivity of the pseudo-one-dimensional ternary compound Tl2Mo6Se6 are presented. We find that the conductivity parallel to the highly conducting c-axis is enhanced by pressure and the superconducting transition temperature Tc is suppressed by pressure at a rate ?Tc?P=?7.6×10?5 kbar?1. These results are discussed in relation to the current models of transport in one-dimensional conductors.  相似文献

In the critical region of the insulating, uniaxial ferromagnet GdCl3 the real part of the uniform susceptibility χ(q = 0, ω; T) has been measured by means of a frequency counting method in the ranges 1.7 MHz ? ω ? 720 MHz, 0.003 ? (TTc ? 1 ≡ ?) ? 0.5. Parallel to the easy direction at all temperatures, χ′(ω) has a lorentzian shape, its amplitude being equal to the static susceptibility, χT. The half-widths τ?1 exhibit s critical slowing down: above ?c = 0.03 they are proportional to χ?1T, while at ?c a change-over to τ?1 ∝ χ?12T occurs, the origin of which is uncertain.  相似文献

Amorphous Fe40Ni40B20 (VITROVAC 0040) alloy has been investigated using 57Fe Mössbauer Spectroscopy. The Curie temperature Tc is found to be well defined and is 695 ± 1 K. The quadrupole splitting just above Tc is 0.64 mm sec?1. The crystallization temperature is 698 ± 2 K, close to but definitely above Tc. The average hyperfine field Heff(T) of the glassy state shows a temperature dependence of Heff(0)[1 ? B32(T/Tc)32 ? C52(T/Tc)52 ? …] indicative of the existence of spin wave excitations. The values of B32 and C52 are found to be 0.40 and 0.06, respectively, for T/Tc ? 0.72. At temperatures close to Tc, Heff(T) varies as (1 ? T/Tc)β where β is one of the critical exponents and its value is found to be 0.29 ± 0.02.  相似文献

We introduce a Landau type theory of the Peierls instability-superconductor transition involving two complex order parameters. Under a particular inequality condition among expansion parameters, the theory predicts that the superfluid conductivity should vary as (T?Tc)?32 above the critical region and as (T1c?T)?32 below the critical region.  相似文献

The production of prompt electron-positron pairs in 16 GeV/c π-p collisions has been measured using the LASS spectrometer at SLAC. An excess of events is observed above the estimated contribution of direct and Dalitz decays of known resonances in the kinematic range defined by 0.1?χ?0.45, 0?pT?0.8 GeVc and 0.2?M(e+e?)?0.7 GeVc 2. The excess signal decreases slowly with increasing M, but exhibits very steep χ and pT2 dependence.  相似文献

It is proved that the quantum mechanical Hamiltonian H = Σi=1N (p2 + m2)12 ? κ Σi>j|xi ? xj|?1 for bosons (resp, fermions) is bounded from below if Ncbκ?1 (resp. N ≤ cfκ?32). Electron spin resonance relaxation times were measured for the radiation induced radical ion SeO43? in selenium doped KDP single crystals. The spin-lattice relaxation time was found to obey the relation T1R?1 = AT + BT50θ2T x4csch2x dx from 7 K to 200 K except in the neighborhood of the transition temperature where the data fit the expression T1?1 = T1R?1b±T ? Tcm± where θ is the Debye temperature and the plus and minus signs refer to data at temperatures above and below Tc respectively.  相似文献

Predissociations in the y1Πg and x1Σg? Rydberg states of N2 (configurations u?14pσ and u?13pπ, respectively) and their likely causes, are discussed. Peaking of rotational intensity at unusually low J values, without sharp breaking off, is interpreted as due to case c? or case ci predissociation. Λ doubling in the y state, attributed to interactions with the x1Σg? state and with another, 1Σ+, state of the same electron configuration as x, is analyzed. From this analysis the location of the (unobserved) 1Σg+ state, here labeled x′, is obtained. It is concluded that the predissociation in the Π+ levels of the y state is an indirect one mediated by the interaction with x′ coupled with predissociation of x′ by a 3Σg? state dissociating to 4S + 2P atoms: combined, however, with perturbation of the y state by the k1Πg Rydberg state (configuration g?14dπ), whose Π+ levels are completely predissociated.  相似文献

Results are presented of a 12 event/μb bubble-chamber experiment; the reactions discussed in detail are K?pK1 (890)?p, K1 (1420)?p and K1 (890)?Δ+.The K1 (890)?p channel is dominated by the forward peak. The suggestion of flattering at cos θ = 1 is more pronounced in (?11 + ?1?1) dσdt; which is mainly natural-parity exchange. Pseudoscalar exchange contributes to ?00Jdσdt; this is more sharply peaked in t. The value of (?11 ? ?1?1) dσdt is somewhat larger than the upper limit from the dominant natural-parity exchange. There is significant structure in ?00Hdσdtat t ≈ ?0.6 (GeV/c)2.The K1 (1420)?p channel is much more pronounced at 3.3 GeV/c than at 3.13 GeV/c, but is not markedly peripheral. The width of the K1 (1420) in the 3.3 GeV/c data is 42 ± 12 MeV/c2.The cross section for K1? Δ+ agrees with that expected from K+pK1Δ, assuming a single t-channel exchange. Our measured density matrix elements are consistent with a strong pseudoscalar exchange.  相似文献

We present approximate analytic calculation of the functional derivative δTcδα2 (Ω)F(Ω), where Tc is the superconducting critical temperature and α2(Ω)F(Ω) is the electron-phonon spectral function, within the “square-well model” for the phonon mediated electron-electron interaction and weak coupling limit ωD(2πTc)? 1 (ωD is the Debye energy). It is found that δTcδα2(Ω)F(Ω) = (1 + λ)-1G(Ω) where λ is the familiar electron-phonon coupling parameter and G(Ω) is a universal function of the reduced frequency Ω = ΩTc. We compare this formula with accurate numerical results for several weak coupling superconductors. The overall agreement is good  相似文献

The Eliashberg gap equations relate the transition temperature Tc of an isotropic superconductor to its electron-phonon spectral function α2F(ω) and Coulomb pseudopotential parameter μ1. Recently the Eliashberg theory has been used to derive some supposedly rigorous results bearing on the problem of attaining higher superconducting transition temperatures: Bergmann and Rainer derived an expression for the functional derivative δTcδα2F(ω); Allen and Dynes showed that in the asymptotic limit of very large λ(λ?10)kBTc=f(μ1)(λ〈ω2〉)12 and Leavens proved that for any isotropic superconductor kBTc ?0.2309A, where A is the area under its electron-phonon spectral function. In this letter we show that the result of Allen and Dynes is not compatible with the other results and is, in fact, incorrect.  相似文献

The time dependence of microwave absorption was measured for the J = 2-1 and J = 3-2 transitions of OCS under on- and off-resonant conditions utilizing Stark and source modulation, respectively. The two effective pressure parameters obtained under the two conditions, which correspond to (T2?1 + T1?1)4πP and (2πT2P)?1, respectively, according to the Bloch equation, are different beyond experimental error; the difference (T2?1 ? T1?1)2πP is 0.94 ± 0.38 (2.5σ) MHz/Torr for J = 2?1. This difference was also determined to be 1.19 ± 0.30 MHz/Torr from the dependence of the nutation frequency on the microwave power.  相似文献

A model is constructed where a Friedmann universe, when collapsing, passes the region of Planek's dimensions near the classical singularity in the De Sitter state. The model assumes that the condition of the one-loop approximation Rμνλδ · Rμνλδ1lP14 is a universal law of nature. In the case of a dust-like matter the law restricts the mass density (?) to Planck's density ?P1 = c5khx2; ?2?P12 ≤ 1. In the dust-like model it is assumed that the gravitation constant χ depends on the density as χ = χ0φ(?2?P1 ?1), the function φ vanishes at ? = ?P1 so that the matter tensor in the right-hand side of the Einstein equation χTμν disappears in this limit, and the Friedmann universe becomes a De Sitter universe whose Λ1 term is written in the form Λ1θ(?2?P12) and at ??P1, θ → 1. As kh → 0, the theory becomes classical. Some difficulties of a perpetually oscillating model, namely, entropy increase, mass increase due to particle production, and increase of metric perturbations (appearance of gravitational waves) in the process of collapse, are considered in the framework of the model. Various possibilities of the mathematical apparatus of the theory that naturally involve limitations on the curvature value and, in particular, nonlinear Born-type lagrangians are discussed.  相似文献

The EPR line widths of the high and the low field resonances of Cr3+ in triglycine sulphate (TGS) show two distinct anomalous broadenings near Tc. One is associated with a change in the motional frequency of the hindered rotation of the NH3 groups and the other is related to the fluctuation of the polarization. Just below Tc there is a two fold splitting of the resonances which has a(Tc?T)12 temperature dependence indicating the local geometry about the Cr3+ ion is determined by mean field theory.  相似文献

We report the result of the Co59 nuclear spin-lattice relaxation time T1 measurements in the diamagnetic monoboride CoB. The analysis of the data, in the 4.2–300 K temperature range, allows us to separate three contributions to the relaxation rate: first a Korringa process, (T1KT)?1= 0.21 sec?1K?1 (in good agreement with the temperature independent isotropic Knight shift) from which we deduced the Co59 hyperfine constant A=6.2 ×10?6eV, second an impurity contribution independent of temperature and third a quadrupolar term, T?11Q=3560 (TθD)2E(TθD) sec?1, which is predominant at high temperature and well explained by the Van Kranendonk theory. It seems that it was the first time that such a quadrupolar effect was detected in a metallic compound. A remarkable coherency between Lundquist's three bands model and our experimental results has to be noted.  相似文献
