The effective dielectric response
of linear composites containing
graded material is investigated
under an applied electric field
E0. For the cylindrical inclusion with gradient dielectric function, εi(r)=b+cr, randomly embedded in a host with dielectric constant
εm, we have obtained the exact solution of local electric
potential of the composite media regions, which obeys a linear constitutive
relation D=εE, using hypergeometric function. In dilute
limit, we have derived the effective dielectric response of the linear
composite media. Furthermore, for larger volume fraction, the formulas of

The Cellular Automaton(CA) modeling and simulation of solid dynamics is a long-standing difficult problem.In this paper we present a new two-dimensional CA model for solid dynamics.In this model the solid body is represented by a set of white and black particles alternatively positioned in the x-and y-directions.The force acting on each particle is represented by the linear summation of relative displacements of the nearest-neighboring particles.The key technique in this new model is the construction of eight coefficient matrices.Theoretical and numerical analyses show that the present model can be mathematically described by a conservative system.So,it works for elastic material.In the continuum limit the CA model recovers the well-known Navier equation.The coefficient matrices are related to the shear module and Poisson ratio of the material body.Compared with previous CA model for solid body,this model realizes the natural coupling of deformations in the x-and y-directions.Consequently,the wave phenomena related to the Poisson ratio effects are successfully recovered.This work advances significantly the CA modeling and simulation in the field of computational solid dynamics. 相似文献

The fractai expressions for flow rate and hydraulic conductivity for power-law fluids in a single capillary are derived based on the fractai nature of tortuous capillaries. Every parameter in the proposed expressions has clear physical meaning. The flow rate and hydraulic conductivity for power-law fluids are found to be related to the tortuosity fractal dimension and the power-law index. The flow rate for power-law fluids increases with the increasing power-law index but decreases with the increasing tortuosity fractal dimension. Good agreement between the model predictions for flow in a fractai capillary and in a converging-diverging duct is obtained. The results suggest that the fractal capillary model can be used to model the power-law fluids with different rheologicai properties. 相似文献

This article addresses the resolution of the inverse problem for the parameter
identification in orthotropic materials with a number of measurements merely on
the boundaries. The inverse problem is formulated as an optimization problem of
a residual functional which evaluates the differences between the experimental and
predicted displacements. The singular boundary method, an integration-free, mathematically
simple and boundary-only meshless method, is employed to numerically
determine the predicted displacements. The residual functional is minimized by the
Levenberg-Marquardt method. Three numerical examples are carried out to illustrate
the robustness, efficiency, and accuracy of the proposed scheme. In addition, different
levels of noise are added into the boundary conditions to verify the stability of the

Even though power-law or close-to-power-law degree distributions are ubiquitously observed in a great variety of large real networks, the mathematically satisfactory treatment of random power-law graphs satisfying basic statistical requirements of realism is still lacking. These requirements are: sparsity, exchangeability, projectivity, and unbiasedness. The last requirement states that entropy of the graph ensemble must be maximized under the degree distribution constraints. Here we prove that the hypersoft configuration model, belonging to the class of random graphs with latent hyperparameters, also known as inhomogeneous random graphs or W-random graphs, is an ensemble of random power-law graphs that are sparse, unbiased, and either exchangeable or projective. The proof of their unbiasedness relies on generalized graphons, and on mapping the problem of maximization of the normalized Gibbs entropy of a random graph ensemble, to the graphon entropy maximization problem, showing that the two entropies converge to each other in the large-graph limit. 相似文献

A spectral decomposition of the Frobenius–Perron operator is constructed for one-dimensional maps with intermittent chaos, using the method of coherent states. A technique using the spectral density function is applied to the the well-known cusp map, which generates weak type-II intermittency. got a lot of enthusiasm recently. In the derivation of holographic energy density, the area relation of the black hole entropy

We analyse the data from the recently published lists of the richest Chinese from the year 2003 to 2005. The results confirm that in these years the wealth is distributed according to a power law with exponents between 1.758 and 2.285 in the high end. The power distribution is found to be quite robust although the persons in the list change drastically and the wealth increases rapidly. The relation between the wealth and the absolute change of wealth rejects the notion that the wealth evolution is a multiplicative stochastic process. 相似文献

Laminar flow of a power-law fluid over a sphere is considered for unbounded shear flow. The Navier–Stokes equations with power-law viscosity are solved numerically using an in-house developed CFD package. Vorticities structures downstream of particle are suppressed for powerlaw fluid. The shear rate influence on drag force is negligible for power index close to unit, and the drag force appreciably decreases with falling power index. For small Reynolds numbers, the lift force coefficient monotonically decreases against the power index and exhibits an opposite behavior for moderate values of Reynolds numbers. The results of the parametric studies are used to derive correlations for the drag force and to detect the hydrodynamic differences from uniform flow. The investigation parameters varied within the following ranges: power-law index 0.3 ≤ n ≤ 1, Reynolds number 0 < Re ≤ 150, and dimensionless shear rate 0.05 ≤ s ≤ 0.4. 相似文献

Considering the power-law corrections to the black hole entropy, which appear in dealing with the entanglement of quantum
