Let A and B be commutative rings with unity, f: A → B a ring homomorphism, and J an ideal of B. Then the subring A ?fJ: = {(a, f(a) + j)|a ∈ A and j ∈ J} of A × B is called the amalgamation of A with B along J with respect to f. In this article, among other things, we investigate the Cohen–Macaulay and (quasi-)Gorenstein properties on the ring A ?fJ.  相似文献

In this article, we compute the Hochschild homology group of A = KΓ/(f(X s )), where KΓ is the path algebra of the cyclic quiver Γ with s vertices and s arrows over a commutative ring K, f(x) is a monic polynomial over K, and X is the sum of all arrows in KΓ. Moreover, we compute the cyclic homology group of A in the case f(x) = (x ? a) m , where a ∈ K, so that we can determine the cyclic homology of A in general when K is an algebraically closed field.  相似文献

Let R be any commutative ring with identity, and let C be a (finite or infinite) cyclic group. We show that the group ring R(C) is presimplifiable if and only if its augmentation ideal I(C) is presimplifiable. We conjecture that the group rings R(C n ) are presimplifiable if and only if n = p m , p ∈ J(R), p is prime, and R is presimplifiable. We show the necessity of n = p m , and we prove the sufficiency when n = 2, 3, 4. These results were made possible by a new formula derived herein for the circulant determinantal coefficients.  相似文献

In this article, a kind of nonregular constraint and a principle for seeking critical point under the constraint are presented, where no Lagrange multiplier is involved. Let E, F be two Banach spaces, g: E → F a c 1 map defined on an open set U in E, and the constraint S = the preimage g ?1(y 0), y 0 ∈ F. A main deference between the nonregular constraint and regular constraint is that g′(x) at any x ∈ S is not surjective. Recently, the critical point theory under the nonregular constraint is a concerned focus in optimization theory. The principle also suits the case of regular constraint. Coordinately, the generalized regular constraint is introduced and the critical point principle on generalized regular constraint is established. Let f: U → ? be a nonlinear functional. While the Lagrange multiplier L in classical critical point principle is considered, its expression is given by using generalized inverse g+(x) of g′(x) as follows: if x ∈ S is a critical point of f| S , then L = f′(x) ○ g+(x) ∈ F*. Moreover, it is proved that if S is a regular constraint, then the Lagrange multiplier L is unique; otherwise, L is ill-posed. Hence, in case of the nonregular constraint, it is very difficult to solve Euler equations; however, it is often the case in optimization theory. So the principle here seems to be new and applicable. By the way, the following theorem is proved: if A ∈ B(E, F) is double split, then the set of all generalized inverses of A, GI(A) is smooth diffeomorphic to certain Banach space. This is a new and interesting result in generalized inverse analysis.  相似文献

For a trilinear alternating form f on a vector space V, a generalization of the group of automorphisms group of autotopisms Atp(f), is introduced. An autotopism of f is a triple (α, β, γ) of automorphisms of V satisfying f(u, v, w) = f(α(u), β(v), γ(w)) for all u, v, w ∈ V. Basic results concerning this group are presented, and it is shown that the subgroup of Atp(f) containing autotopisms with identity in one coordinate is Abelian and that a mapping in this group has no fixed points if and only if its order is not a power of two.

Moreover, the notion of equivalence of two trilinear alternating forms is generalized in a similar way, and a partial result is given.

Examples of forms with both trivial (Atp(f) = Aut(f)) and nontrivial groups of autotopisms are presented.  相似文献

Let Ω be a bounded Lipschitz domain in ? n , n ≥ 3 with connected boundary. We study the Robin boundary condition ?u/?N + bu = f ∈ L p (?Ω) on ?Ω for Laplace's equation Δu = 0 in Ω, where b is a non-negative function on ?Ω. For 1 < p < 2 + ?, under suitable compatibility conditions on b, we obtain existence and uniqueness results with non-tangential maximal function estimate ‖(?u)*‖ p  ≤ Cf p , as well as a pointwise estimate for the associated Robin function. Abstract

If A is an n × n complex matrix and x ∈ ? n , the conjecture is that if we take the kth power of each component of Ax, the resulting vector belongs to the range of the matrix obtained by taking the kth power of the entries of AA ?, where A ? is the adjoint of A. The conjecture is proved here for any k ≥ 2 when we add assumptions of either low dimension (namely, n ≤ 4) or low corank (0, 1, and, with some technical restrictions, 2). Let A be a finitely generated abelian group. We describe the automorphism group Aut(A) using the rank of A and its torsion part p-part A p . For a finite abelian p-group A of type (k 1, ..., k n ), simple necessary and sufficient conditions for an n × n-matrix over integers to be associated with an automorphism of A are presented. Then, the automorphism group Aut(A) for a finite p-group A of type (k 1, k 2) is analyzed. This work has begin during the visit of the second author to the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, Nicolaus Copernicus University during the period July 31–August 13, 2005. A ring R is quasipolar if for any a ∈ R, there exists p 2 = p ∈ R such that p ∈ comm2(a), p + a ∈ U(R) and ap ∈ R qnil . In this article, we determine when a 2 × 2 matrix over a commutative local ring is quasipolar. A criterion in terms of solvability of the characteristic equation is obtained for such a matrix to be quasipolar. Consequently, we obtain several equivalent conditions for the 2 × 2 matrix ring over a commutative local ring to be quasipolar. Furthermore, it is shown that the 2 × 2 matrix ring over the ring of p-adic integers is quasipolar.  相似文献

Let B be a Galois algebra over a commutative ring R with Galois group G such that B H is a separable subalgebra of B for each subgroup H of G. A graph r is said to be G-semisymmetric if it is regular and there exists a subgroup G of A := Aut(Г) acting transitively on its edge set but not on its vertex set. In the case of G. = A, we call r a semisymmetric graph. The aim of this paper is to investigate (G-)semisymmetric graphs of prime degree. We give a group-theoretical construction of such graphs, and give a classification of semisymmetric cubic graphs of order 6p2 for an odd prime p.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the existence of multiple positive solutions of boundary value problems for second-order discrete equations Δ2 x(n ? 1) ? pΔx(n ? 1) ? qx(n ? 1)+f(n, x(n)) = 0, n ∈ {1,2,…}, αx(0) ? βΔx(0) = 0, x(∞) = 0. The proofs are based on the fixed point theorem in Fréchet space (see Agarwal and O'Regan, 2001, Cone compression and expansion and fixed point theorems in Fréchet spaces with application, Journal of Differential Equations, 171, 412–42).  相似文献
