介孔碳CMK-3对苯酚的吸附动力学和热力学研究   总被引:14,自引:0,他引:14  
研究了介孔碳CMK-3对苯酚的吸附性能, 与传统商用活性碳(CAC)进行了比较, 结果表明, CMK-3比CAC的吸附量大、吸附速率快、达到平衡时间短, 是一种较好的吸附剂. 同时探讨了介孔碳CMK-3对苯酚的吸附热力学和动力学特征. CMK-3对苯酚的吸附行为可用Langmuir和Freundlich等温式进行描述, 相关性都较好, 但更符合Freundlich经验公式. 分别采用模拟一阶反应和二阶反应模型考察了吸附动力学, 并计算了这些动力学模型的速率常数. 模拟二级反应模型和实验数据之间有较好的相关性. 分别计算了热力学参数ΔG0, ΔS0和ΔH0, 结果表明, CMK-3对苯酚的吸附过程是吸热和自发的.  相似文献

Chitosan biopolymer chemically modified with the complexation agent 2[-bis-(pyridylmethyl)aminomethyl]-4-methyl-6-formylphenol (BPMAMF) was employed to study the kinetics and the equilibrium adsorption of Cu(II), Cd(II), and Ni(II) metal ions as functions of the pH solution. The maximum adsorption of Cu(II) was found at pH 6.0, while the Cd(II) and Ni(II) maximum adsorption occurred in acidic media, at pH 2.0 and 3.0, respectively. The kinetics was evaluated utilizing the pseudo-first-order and pseudo-second-order equation models and the equilibrium data were analyzed by Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms models. The adsorption kinetics follows the mechanism of the pseudo-second-order equation for all studied systems and this mechanism suggests that the adsorption rate of metal ions by CHS-BPMAMF depends on the number of ions on the adsorbent surface, as well as on their number at equilibrium. The best interpretation for the equilibrium data was given by the Langmuir isotherm and the maximum adsorption capacities were 109 mg g-1 for Cu(II), 38.5 mg g-1 for Cd(II), and 9.6 mg g-1 for Ni(II). The obtained results show that chitosan modified with BPMAMF ligand presented higher adsorption capacity for Cu(II) in all studied pH ranges.  相似文献

采用相同反离子协同磷酸活化法, 以十六烷基三甲基溴化铵(CTAB)-KBr为复合改性剂, 制备了一种高效吸附剂复合改性膨胀石墨(M-EG), 通过扫描电子显微镜(SEM)、 傅里叶变换红外光谱(FTIR)及X射线电子能谱(XPS)等对膨胀石墨(EG)和改性膨胀石墨(M-EG)的形貌结构、 组成和价态进行了表征, 考察了EG和M-EG对酸性艳蓝染料废水的处理效果. 结果表明, 复合改性后的膨胀石墨孔隙度变大, 表面含氮和溴官能团增多. 吸附剂M-EG对酸性艳蓝染料废水具有较高的吸附性能, 在pH=1.0及30 ℃条件下对染料的去除率达到94.13%; EG符合二级动力学吸附模型, 用Langmuir等温线方程拟合效果较好; M-EG符合二级吸附动力学方程, 同时符合Langmuir和Freundlich等温吸附模型; M-EG的吸附动力学常数大于EG吸附动力学常数.  相似文献

This study evaluated the feasibility of Rhodamine-B dye (Rh B) removal from aqueous solution, using Lead-Iron Oxide nanoparticles Loaded Activated Carbon (FePbO@AC). The parameters like pH, contact time, adsorbent/adsorbate dosage and temperature on adsorption was studied. Optimized conditions are pH of 7.0, 25?min contact time, 50?ppm of dye concentration and 200?mg of adsorbent concentration. The kinetics of adsorption was calculated using pseudo-first-order, pseudo-second-order, and intra-particle diffusion models. The calculations revealed that the pseudo-second-order kinetic equation best-fit the adsorption data. The Langmuir isotherm model best fit the equilibrium data. The maximum sorption capacity (Qmax) for dye is 1000?mg Rh B/g FePbO@AC. Change in entropy (ΔS), Gibb’s free energy change (ΔG), and enthalpy (ΔH) were calculated for the adsorption of Rh B dye.  相似文献

In this study, iron functional groups-impregnated activated carbon (IIAC) composite was prepared as a novel adsorbent for vanadium separation. Adsorption experiments were performed in batch and column systems, and the effects of various operating parameters, such as solution pH, initial concentration, contact time, and temperature, were evaluated. The kinetic data confirmed the validity of the pseudo-second-order kinetic model for vanadium adsorption on IIAC. The sorption equilibrium data were analyzed using Langmuir, Freundlich, and Dubinin–Radushkevich isotherm models. The results showed that IIAC has a vanadium ions adsorption capacity of 313 mg g?1. The activation and thermodynamic parameters were determined using kinetics and equilibrium data. The experimental data of the column adsorption process were fitted by Thomas and BDST models. The results showed that Thomas model can well describe the breakthrough curves. The column experiments showed that IIAC composite has good adsorption performance for vanadium ions adsorption.

Adsorption of Cu(II) from aqueous solution onto H(3)PO(4)-activated carbon using rubber wood sawdust (RSAC) was investigated in a batch system. Kinetic and isotherm studies were carried out by considering the effects of various parameters, such as initial concentration, contact time, pH, and temperature. The optimal pH value for Cu(II) adsorption onto RSAC was found to be 6.0. Thermodynamic parameters such as standard Gibbs free energy (DeltaG(0)), standard enthalpy (DeltaH(0)), and standard entropy (DeltaS(0)) were evaluated by applying the Van't Hoff equation. The thermodynamics of Cu(II) adsorption onto RSAC indicates its spontaneous and exothermic nature. Langmuir, Freundlich, and Temkin isotherms were used to analyze the equilibrium data at different temperatures. The Langmuir isotherm fits the experimental data significantly better than the other isotherms. Adsorption kinetics data were tested using pseudo-first-order, pseudo-second-order, and intraparticle diffusion models. Kinetic studies showed that the adsorption followed a pseudo-second-order reaction. The initial sorption rate, pseudo-first-order, pseudo-second-order, and intraparticle diffusion rate constants for different initial concentrations were evaluated and discussed. Adsorption mechanism studies revealed that the process was complex and followed both surface adsorption and particle diffusion. The rate-controlling parameter and effective diffusion coefficient were determined using the Reichenberg plot. It was found that the adsorption occurs through film diffusion at low concentrations and at higher concentration the particle diffusion becomes the rate-determining step.  相似文献

详细研究了D301R弱碱性阴离子交换树脂对Keggin型铁取代杂多阴离子PW11O39Fe(III)(H2O)4- (PW11Fe)的吸附作用, 考察了不同pH和温度对吸附量和吸附速率的影响, 测定了不同温度下吸附的动力学曲线和吸附等温线, 提出吸附动力学模型和计算了吸附的热力学函数, 结果表明, 在pH 2~8的范围内, PW11Fe的吸附量随溶液pH值的升高而增加, 随溶液温度的升高而降低; 吸附动力学符合表面过程控制的准二级反应模型, 其速率常数k2在298 K时为 9.33×10-4 g•mg-1•min-1, 并随温度的升高而减小. 吸附等温线符合Freundlich吸附模型, 吸附热约为40 kJ•mol-1, 因此, 吸附为物理吸附.  相似文献

采用静态吸附法研究了刚果红和结晶紫在锯末上的吸附特性。结果表明,锯末是具有高脱色率的廉价吸附剂,最大脱色率可达96%。在pH4~10范围内,酸度对结晶紫的吸附影响较小,随着pH值增大,脱色率从96.6%缓慢降至91.1%。pH值对刚果红吸附影响较大,pH从4增大到7,脱色率迅速从22.5%增加至96.0%,然后,随pH值升高脱色率缓慢下降至91.4%。两种染料在锯末上的吸附等温线均较好的符合Freundlich方程,吸附动力学可以用拟二级动力学模型描述。计算了相应的吸附等温线参数和吸附动力学参数。  相似文献

We present a complex study of benzene adsorption on chemically modified commercial activated carbons. The porosity of studied carbons is almost the same, whereas the chemical composition and the acid-base properties of surface layers differ drastically from amphoteric (initial de-ashed carbon D43/1, Carbo-Tech, Essen, Germany) and acidic (carbon modified with concentrated HNO3 and fuming H2SO4) to strongly basic (carbon modified with gaseous NH3). Benzene adsorption isotherms measured from aqueous solution at three temperatures (298, 313, and 323 K) and at the neutral pH level are reported. They are supported by studies of water and benzene adsorption from the gaseous phase (volumetric and calorimetric data) and the data of benzene temperature-programmed desorption (TPD). Moreover, the data of the enthalpy of immersion in water and benzene are also presented. Obtained data of benzene adsorption from the gaseous phase are approximated by applying the method of Nguyen and Do (ND) and the Dubinin-Astakhov (DA) equation. The data of adsorption from solution are described by the hybrid DA-Freundlich (DA-F) model. We show that there are similarities in the mechanisms of benzene adsorption from the gaseous phase and from aqueous solutions and that the pore-blocking effect is the main stage of the adsorption mechanism. This effect strongly depends on the polarity of the carbon surface. The larger the ratio of the enthalpy of carbon immersion in water to the enthalpy of immersion in benzene, the larger the reduction in adsorption from solution, compared to that in the gaseous phase, that is observed.  相似文献

测定了15℃和30℃时炭黑自水和环己烷中吸附非离子型表面活性剂TritonX-100和Triton X-305的等温线;计算了吸附过程的标准热力学函数;测定了石墨/水/环己烷和石墨/水/空气的接触角与表面活性剂浓度的关系, 分析所得结果,可得结论:在炭黑/水或石墨/水界面上,Triton型表面活性分子形成单分子吸附层,分子以憎水的iso-C8H17C6H4基团附着在表面,而以亲水的聚氧乙烯链伸入水相的方式取向;在炭黑/环已烷或石墨/环己烷界面上,分子是通过聚氧乙烯链吸附到表面上的,当浓度增加时分子在表面可能通过聚氧乙烯链间的相互作用而发生聚集,即可能形成表面反式胶团。  相似文献

Multi-walled and single-walled carbon nanotubes were used as nanoadsorbents for the successful removal of Reactive Blue 4 textile dye from aqueous solutions. The adsorbents were characterised by infrared and Raman spectroscopy, N(2) adsorption/desorption isotherms and scanning and transmission electron microscopy. The effects of pH, shaking time and temperature on adsorption capacity were studied. In the acidic pH region (pH 2.0), the adsorption of the dye was favourable using both adsorbents. The contact time to obtain equilibrium isotherms at 298-323 K was fixed at 4 hours for both adsorbents. The general order kinetic model provided the best fit to the experimental data compared with pseudo-first order and pseudo-second order kinetic adsorption models. For Reactive Blue 4 dye, the equilibrium data (298 to 323 K) were best fitted to the Liu isotherm model. The maximum sorption capacity for adsorption of the dye occurred at 323 K, attaining values of 502.5 and 567.7 mg g(-1) for MWCNT and SWCNT, respectively. Simulated dyehouse effluents were used to check the applicability of the proposed nanoadsorbents for effluent treatment (removal of 99.89% and 99.98%, for MWCNT and SWCNT, respectively). The interaction of Reactive Blue 4 textile dye with single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) was investigated using first principles calculations based on density functional theory. Results from ab initio calculations indicated that Reactive Blue 4 textile dye could be adsorbed on SWCNT through an electrostatic interaction; these results are in agreement with the experimental predictions.  相似文献

In this study, the removal of nitrate using ZnO, MgO, and CeO2 nanoparticles (NPs) modified by humic acid from water was tested. Nanoparticles were modified by humic acid using the microwave-assisted technique and then modified ZnO (Zn–H), modified MgO (Mg–H), and modified CeO2 (Ce–H) were characterized through SEM, EDX, FTIR, and XRD analysis. Several important parameters influencing the removal of nitrate such as contact time, pH, adsorbent dosage and temperature were explored systematically by batch experiments. Isotherm studies were set up with the following optimum conditions: pH?=?5, adsorbent concentration of 1 g L?1, 180 min and 25 °C. The results revealed that the adsorption were best fitted to pseudo-second order and simple Elovich kinetics models. Langmuir, Freundlich and linear adsorption models were fitted to describe adsorption isotherms and constants. The isotherm analysis indicated that the adsorption data can be represented by both Freundlich and linear isotherm models. The maximum adsorption capacity (qm) was obtained at 55.1, 74.2 and 75.8 mg g?1 for Zn–H, Ce–H, and Mg–H, respectively. The thermodynamic parameters such as free energy, enthalpy and entropy of adsorption were obtained. From the thermodynamic parameters, it is suggested that the adsorption of nitrate on modified NPs (MNPs) followed the exothermic and spontaneous processes. The obtained results showed that the MNPs were efficient adsorbents for removing nitrate from aqueous media.  相似文献

研究了改性多壁碳纳米管(MWCNTs)对稀土元素的吸附。 采用硝酸、次氯酸钠、过氧化氢、高锰酸钾4种方法对MWCNTs进行改性,考察了改性MWCNTs对稀土元素的吸附能力。 采用紫外-可见分光光度法测定稀土元素的浓度,比较了未处理和不同方法处理的MWCNTs对稀土元素的吸附能力。实验结果表明,NaClO改性的MWCNTs对稀土元素的吸附能力最强。以稀土元素钐(Sm)、钆(Gd)、镱(Yb)为代表,研究了NaClO改性MWCNTs对稀土元素的吸附性能。 考察了溶液pH值、离子强度、吸附剂用量、温度等因素对吸附性能的影响。当溶液pH值在2~7范围内,NaClO改性的MWCNTs对Sm、Gd、Yb的吸附随pH值增大而增强。 当离子强度和MWCNTs的用量增大时,对稀土元素的吸附能力降低。3种元素在NaClO改性的MWCNTs上的吸附均为放热过程,其反应焓变ΔH分别为:-6.44、-5.63和8.31 kJ/mol。吸附等温线符合Langmuir和Freundlich等温吸附方程。  相似文献

Grapevine rhytidome (the outer layer of bark on trunk), as an abundant and low-cost precursor, was used to prepare granular activated carbon with high surface area for the removal of methyl violet from aqueous solution. Microwave heating source was used to reduce the treatment time and energy consumption. To optimize the preparation, the effects of the different parameters, such as phosphoric acid concentration, acid/precursor weight ratio, impregnation time, microwave power, radiation time, and oven heating time on the ability of the samples for removal of methyl violet were studied. The obtained activated carbon was characterized by N2 adsorption/desorption, SAXS, TEM and SEM methods. The adsorption of methyl violet onto the activated carbon was studied from both equilibrium and kinetic point of view and the results were compared with the commercial granular activated carbon. The rate of adsorption onto the prepared activated carbon was faster than commercial activated carbon. Different kinetic models were used to analyze the experimental kinetic data. The obtained activated carbon showed higher adsorption capacity (more than twice) for the adsorption of methyl violet in comparison with the commercial one. The equilibrium data were analyzed using different isotherm models. Adsorption was found to be maximum in the pH range 7-9.  相似文献

This study investigated the ability of granular activated alumina to remove urea from wastewater through adsorption, and compared its performance with granular activated carbon. XRF, EDX, XRD, and TGA were used to investigate the adsorbents. The removal of urea as a function of pH value was studied. The point of zero charge for activated alumina was found to be 8.8, while that for activated carbon was found to be 7.1. The experimental data of the adsorption process were explored by fitting to different kinetic models to determine the adsorption kinetics and mechanisms. Then, the equilibrium data were examined by fitting to various two-parameter and three-parameter isotherm models. Results showed that the removal efficiency increased with the increasing pH value. The maximum removal efficiencies were 24% and 31% for granular activated alumina and granular activated carbon, respectively, at pH?=?9.0. Kinetic studies showed that adsorption of urea onto both activated alumina and activated carbon can be expressed by pseudo second order kinetics. Equilibrium studies showed that the adsorption isotherms could be expressed by the Redlich-Peterson isotherm and Temkin isotherm for activated alumina and activated carbon, respectively. Adsorbents were investigated using FTIR and SEM, and results showed the occurrence of adsorption.  相似文献

In this paper, chitosan hydrogel beads were modified with gemini surfactant C12-4-C12 · 2Br and then used for the adsorption and removal of Congo red dye. The effects of pH, inorganic salt, temperature, shaking rate, and surfactant concentration were investigated in detail. The gemini surfactant concentration was the main factor, and the maximum adsorption amount was observed at 0.5% C12-4-C12 · 2Br. The Sips isotherm model fit well with the equilibrium experimental data, and the values of the heterogeneity factor (n) indicated heterogeneous adsorption. The adsorption kinetics was found to follow the pseudo-second-order rate model better than the pseudo-first-order rate model.  相似文献

The removal of fluoride from aqueous solutions has been investigated using various oxide ores such as refractory grade bauxite, feed bauxite, manganese ore, and hydrated oxides of manganese ores (WAD). The refractory grade bauxite showed promising results. The studies were carried out as functions of contact time, pH, concentration of adsorbents, concentration of adsorbate, and temperature. The adsorption was rapid during the initial 5 min but equilibrium was attained within 120 min. The adsorption followed first-order kinetics. The present system followed the Langmuir adsorption isotherm model. Various thermodynamic parameters such as free energy, enthalpy, entropy, and equilibrium constants were calculated. The isosteric heat calculations showed that the adsorption process followed a heterogeneous model.  相似文献
