考虑由曲率函数和外力场之差支配的凸超曲面的发展.证明了外力场为常向量场时,初始超曲面的凸性是保持的,且曲率流在有限时间内爆破.对于线性外力场,初始超曲面的凸性保持.而且,若线性常数为负数,则曲率流在有限时间内收敛到一点;若线性常数为正数且初始曲率小于某一与外力场有关的常数,则曲率流光滑地存在于任意有限时间区间,并发散到无穷;若线性常数为正数且初始曲率大于某一与外力场有关的常数,则曲率流在有限时间内爆破.  相似文献

The focal locus is traditionally defined for a differentiable submanifold of R n. However, since it depends essentially only on the notion of orthogonality, a focal locus can be also associated to an algebraic subvariety of the space , once we have chosen an orthogonal structure on this space. In this paper, we establish somebasic results in the theory of focal loci of algebraichypersurfaces in . Our main results concern the irreducibility of the ramification divisor of the end-point map and the dimension of the singular locus of this divisor, the birationality of the focal map and the degree of the focal locus of an algebraic hypersurface.  相似文献

In this paper we find strictly locally convex hypersurfaces in \(\mathbb {R}^{n+1}\) with prescribed curvature and boundary. The main result is that if the given data admits a strictly locally convex radial graph as a subsolution, we can find a radial graph realizing the prescribed curvature and boundary. As an application we show that any smooth domain on the boundary of a compact strictly convex body can be deformed to a smooth hypersurface with the same boundary (inside the convex body) and realizing any prescribed curvature function smaller than the curvature of the body.  相似文献

In this article a priori estimates at the boundary for the second fundamental form of n-dimensional convex hypersurfaces M with prescribed curvature quotient Sn (M)/Sl (M) in Riemannian manifolds are derived. A consequence of these estimates and other known results is an existence theorem for such hypersurfaces, which is a generalization of a recent result of Ivochkina and Tomi to the Riemannian case.  相似文献

A submanifold M m of a Euclidean space R m+p is said to have harmonic mean curvature vector field if ${\Delta \vec{H}=0}$ , where ${\vec{H}}$ is the mean curvature vector field of ${M\hookrightarrow R^{m+p}}$ and Δ is the rough Laplacian on M. There is a famous conjecture named after Bangyen Chen which states that submanifolds of Euclidean spaces with harmonic mean curvature vector fields are minimal. In this paper we prove that weakly convex hypersurfaces (i.e. hypersurfaces whose principle curvatures are nonnegative) with harmonic mean curvature vector fields in Euclidean spaces are minimal. Furthermore we prove that weakly convex biharmonic hypersurfaces in nonpositively curved space forms are minimal.  相似文献

In this paper we study meromorphic maps between vector bundles on a Riemann surface. We are mainly interested in stable vector bundles. Characteristics of groups with the interpolation relation (not necessarily directed) are considered. A necessary and sufficient condition for a partially ordered group to be an interpolation group is obtained. An almost orthogonality criterion for positive elements of an interpolation group is proved. Characteristics of minimal convex directed subgroups containing almost orthogonal elements are described. Properties of convex directed subgroups in the subclass of interpolation groups in which each element is a quotient of two almost orthogonal elements are investigated.  相似文献

By using rational functions of the type quadratic/linear (withquadratic numerator and linear denominator), we show in thispaper how to construct, in a straightforward way, a convex C1interpolant to convex data. In Delbourgo & Gregory (1985b)a cubic/quadratic rational form is discussed for this problem.A special case arises there which allows a reduction to thequadratic/linear form of the present paper. This simpler formwas not evident at the time and we give here an independentaccount of the relevant theory which we support by numericalexamples. Finally we examine the consistency conditions (a setof nonlinear equations) for second-derivative continuity. Weprove that a unique solution exists which satisfies the convexityrequirements.  相似文献
