We solve a generalized nonautonomous nonlinear Schrdinger equation analytically by performing the Hirota's bilinearization method. The precise expression of a parameter , which provides a compatibility condition and dark soliton management, is obtained. Comparing with nonautonomous bright soliton, we find that the gain parameter affects both the background and the valley of dark soliton (∈2≠1) while it has no effects on the wave central position.Moreover, the precise expressions of a nonautonomous black soliton's (∈2≠1) width, background and the trajectory of its wave central, which describe the dynamic behavior of soliton's evolution, are investigated analytically. Finally, the stability of the dark soliton solution is demonstrated numerically. It is shown that the main characteristic of the dark solitons keeps unchanged under a slight perturbation in the compatibility condition. 相似文献

bright and dark optical solitons in highly resonant media. By
investigating four life-time broadened atomic systems, i.e.,
three-state Λ-type and cascade-type schemes, and four-state
N-type and cascade-type schemes, we show that the formation

Propagation properties of bright and dark incoherent beams are numerically studied in photovoltaic-photorefractive crystal by using coherent density approach for the first time. Numerical simulations not only exhibit that bright incoherent photovoltaic quasi-soliton, grey-like incoherent photovoltaic soliton, incoherent soliton doublet and triplet can be established under proper conditions, but also display that the spatial coherence properties of these incoherent beams can be significantly affected during propagation by the photovoltaic field. 相似文献

Using fully incoherent white light emitted from an incandescent bulb (a line source) and amplitude mask, we study experimentally the interaction between two 21) white-light photovoltaic dark spatial solitons with three different separations (40μm, 50μm and 60μm) and arrangement directions (parallel to, perpendicular to and tilted at 45° with respect to the crystalline c axis) propagating in parallel in close proximity in seff-defocusing LiNbO3:Fe crystal. Experimental results reveal that a 21) white-light dark soliton pair only experiences attractive forces when their mutual separation is sufflciently small (〈 60 μm), and the degree of the attraction depends on their mutual separation and their arrangement direction. Two coupled dark solitons are considered in a two-component Bose-Einstein condensate, and their dynamics are investigated by the variational approach based the renormalized integrals of motion. The stationary states as physical solutions to the describing equations are obtained, and the dynamic mechanism is demonstrated by performing a coordinate of a classical particle moving in an effective potential field. Collisions of spatial solitons occurring in the nonlinear
Schröinger equation with harmonic potential are studied, using conservation laws and the split-step Fourier method. We find an analytical solution for the separation distance between the spatial solitons in an inhomogeneous nonlinear medium
when the light beam is self-trapped in the transverse dimension. In the self-focusing nonlinear media the spatial solitons can be transmitted stably, and the interaction between spatial solitons is enhanced due to the linear focusing effect (and also diminished for the linear defocusing effect). In the self-defocusing nonlinear media, in the absence of self-trapping or in the presence of linear self-defocusing, no
transmission of stable spatial solitons is possible. However, in such media
the linear focusing effect can be exactly compensated, and the spatial

We study analytically and numerically the propagation of spatial solitons in a two-dimensional strongly nonlocal nonlinear medium. We present an analytical study on the dynamics of bright and dark solitons in Bose-Einstein condensates with time-varying atomic scattering length in a time-varying external parabolic potential. A set of exact soliton solutions of the one-dimensional Gross-Pitaevskii equation are obtained, including fundamental bright solitons, higher-order bright solitons, and dark solitons. The results show that the soliton's parameters (amplitude, width, and period) can be changed in a controllable manner by changing the scattering length and external potential. This may be helpful to design experiments. 相似文献
