The influence of Ca in place of Sr and Eu and Yb in place of La on the superconducting and normal state behaviour of La1.8Sr0.2CuO4 has been investigated. Eu and Ca substituents depress zero resistance temperature (Tc). A semiconducting (localization)-like behaviour, qualitatively scaling with cation concentration, is observed for the air-annealed Ca specimens, whereas Eu and Yb substitutions do not very much alter the normal state behaviour. The data are discussed in terms of possible size and charge mismatch effects. 相似文献

Superconducting La1.8Sr0.2CuO4 has been investigated under pressure. Its resistiveT
c
-midpoint was found to be 37 K at ambient pressure. It inductively determinedT
c
is 33 K monotonically shifting up to 38.4 K at 19.2 kbar. The initial linear increase is 0.295 K/kbar. X-ray investigations in a diamond anvil revealed no phase transformation of the K2NiF4 structure up to about 50 kbar at 300 K, 60 K and 15 K. The bulk modulus of La1.8Sr0.2CuO4 was 1070 kbar at 300 K and 1500 kbar at 15 K. Thec/a ratio decreases and shows pronounced differences between room temperature and low temperature data under pressure. Multi-phase Y–Ba–Cu-Oxide with resistiveT

-onset of 90 K was investigated under pressure, too. The inductive transition starts at 70 K and is completed at 20 K. The superconducting volume fraction was estimated to be about 2% at 10 K. 相似文献

c onsets up to 42 K (midpoint: 37 K, zero resistance: 34 K) is observed in X-rays homogeneous single phase La1.8Sr0.2CuO4. The quarternary compounds La2–x
Ba
x
CuO4 and La2–x
Sr
x
CuO4 (0x0.3 for Ba and 0x<1 for Sr, depending on the heating conditions) are mixed-valence oxygen defect oxides, characterized by the presence of Cu2+ and Cu3+ simultaneously. These oxides have a tetragonal symmetry (space group:I 4/mmm) similar to that of K2NiF4. We report the synthesis, characterization, and superconducting properties of various high-temperature superconducting La–Ba–Cu–O and La–Sr–Cu–O compounds. Through the substitution of Sr for Ba in these oxygen defect compounds an increasing superconducting transition temperature onset from 28 K to 35 K for La1.8Sr0.1Ba0.1CuO4 was observed. A positive initial pressure coefficient ofdTc/dp=290 (mK/kbar) has been found for La1.8Sr0.2CuO4 with a magnetic susceptibility change consistent with the 100% diamagnetic expectation value. 相似文献

SQUID susceptibility measurements of the high Tc superconductor Sr0.2La1.8CuO4, with a 40 K resistive onset, are reported for fields from 1 μT to 4.5 T (10 mG to 45 kG). Data show an average lower critical field of 30 mT at 5 K, but with nonlinearities appearing as low as 100 μT. Zero field cooling and subsequent application of a field shows a diamagnetic shielding effect reaching 100% in the lowest fields with a 37 K onset and 31 K midpoint. The observed Meissner effect in single phase material exceeds 40% but decreases with oxygen annealing even though Tc increases. 相似文献

Measurements of the spin-lattice relaxation rate and Knight shift on protons in hydrogen-doped superconducting H0.2La1.8Sr0.2CuO4 samples are performed in the temperature range 4.2–300 K. An anomalous behavior of the spin-lattice relaxation rate is observed
at low temperatures T∼20 K. A model is constructed that explains the appearance of carrier-depleted regions in the bulk of the semiconductor on
the basis of the formation of a charged defect (proton).

Measurements of the resistivity, magnetoresistance, and penetration depth were made on films of La1.85Sr0.15CuO4, with up to 12 at. % of Zn substituted for the Cu. The results show that the quadratic temperature dependence of the inverse square of the penetration depth, indicative of d-wave superconductivity, is not affected by doping. The suppression of superconductivity leads to a metallic nonsuperconducting phase, as expected for a pairing mechanism related to spin fluctuations. The metal-insulator transition occurs in the vicinity of k(F)l approximately 1, and appears to be disorder driven, with the carrier concentration unaffected by doping. 相似文献

We report 17O nuclear-magnetic-resonance (NMR) results in the stripe ordered La(1.8-x)Eu0.2Sr(x)CuO4 system. Below a temperature T(q) approximately 80 K, the local electric field gradient and the absolute intensity of the NMR signal of the planar O site exhibit a dramatic decrease. We interpret these results as microscopic evidence for a spatially inhomogeneous charge distribution, where the NMR signal from O sites in the domain walls of the spin density modulation are wiped out due to large hyperfine fields, and the remaining signal arises from the intervening Mott insulating regions. 相似文献

The magnetic excitations in La2CuO4 and La1.9Sr0.1CuO4 were studied by inelastic neutron scattering up to energies of 76 meV. For the pure sample, the results forE15 meV can be well described by conventional spin wave theory with a spin wave velocity c=0.89±0.07 eVÅ. For lower energies, the observed intensities were somewhat higher than expected from spin wave theory and did not follow the Bose-Einstein factor. For the doped sample, the linewidth in constant-E scans at smallE shows a very short correlation length of =7.5 Å only, which is considerably below the value expected from the concentration dependence reported by other authors. An increase of the linewidth for largeE indicates a reduced spin-wave stiffness when compared to the undoped material. However, the use of a spin-wave picture may not be appropriate as the standard expression for damped spin waves in a paramagnetic material is in serious conflict with experiment. 相似文献

Strong resonant enhancements of the charge-order and spin-order superstructure-diffraction intensities in La1.8Sr0.2NiO4 are observed when x-ray energies in the vicinity of the Ni L2,3 absorption edges are used. The pronounced photon-energy and polarization dependences of these diffraction intensities allow for a critical determination of the local symmetry of the ordered spin and charge carriers. We found that not only the antiferromagnetic order but also the charge-order superstructure resides within the NiO2 layers; the holes are mainly located on in-plane oxygens surrounding a Ni2+ site with the spins coupled antiparallel in close analogy to Zhang-Rice singlets in the cuprates. 相似文献
