Abstact: High-spin states in 183Re have been studied using the 176Yb(11B,4n) reaction at 52 and 57 MeV. Two high-K bands have been observed directly by a time-correlated γ-γ coincidence measurement. One of the bands is built on an isomeric K π=(25/2)+ state at E x= 1908 keV with a half-life of 0.82(2) ms. The other band, assigned as K π=(29/2) at E x= 2739 keV, decays to the (25/2)+ band. These bands are interpreted as three-quasiparticle structures, π(5/2)+[402] &⊗ν(9/2)+[624] ⊗ν(11/2)+[615] for the (25/2)+ band and π(9/2)[514] ⊗ν(9/2)+[624] ⊗ν(11/2)+[615] for the (29/2) band. The K π= (29/2) band becomes strongly Coriolis mixed with increasing spin and is gradually changing into a low-K s-band structure. Received: 20 April 1998  相似文献

The collective band structures of the 125Cs nucleus have been investigated by in-beam γ-ray spectroscopic techniques following the 110Pd ( 19F, 4n) reaction at 75MeV. The previously known level scheme, with rotational bands built on πg7/2, πg9/2 and πh11/2 orbitals, has been extended and evolves into bands involving rotationally aligned ν(h11/2)2 and π(h11/2)2 quasiparticles. A strongly coupled band has been reassigned a high-K πh11/2 ⊗ νg7/2 ⊗ νh11/2 three-quasiparticle configuration and a new side band likely to be its chiral partner has been identified. Configurations assigned to various bands are discussed in the framework of Principal/Tilted Axis Cranking (PAC/TAC) model calculations.  相似文献

High-spin states in 181Ta have been studied via the 176Yb(11B,α2n) reaction at 52 MeV using the PEX array and at 57 MeV using the NORDBALL array, with α-particle detection. The previously known, Kπ=(7/2)+ ground state band and Kπ=(9/2) band have been extended to spins (29/2)+ and (31/2), respectively. Two new one-quasiparticle bands, the Kπ=(5/2)+ band built on the known (5/2)+ isomer and a Kπ=((1/2)) band have been observed. Two other rotational bands with three-quasiparticle structure, Kπ=(15/2) and ((19/2)+ with π(7/2)[404]ν2(1/2)[510](9/2)[624] and π(9/2)[514]ν2(1/2)[510](9/2)[624] configurations, respectively, have been newly observed. The half-life of the Kπ=((19/2)+) bandhead which decays to the head of the (15/2) band has been measured to be 140(36) ns. However, transitions from the ((19/2)+) state to the (15/2) band have not been observed. Received: 26 August 1998  相似文献

High-spin states in 123Cs, populated via the 100Mo ( 28Si, p4n) fusion-evaporation reaction at E lab = 130 MeV, have been investigated employing in-beam γ-ray spectroscopic techniques. Rotational bands, built on πg 7/2, πg 9/2 and the unique-parity πh 11/2 orbitals, have been extended and evolve into bands involving rotationally aligned ν(h 11/2)2 and π(h 11/2)2 quasiparticles. A three-quasiparticle band based on the high-K πh 11/2 ⊗ νg 7/2 ⊗ νh 11/2 configuration has also been observed. Total Routhian Surface (TRS) calculations have been used to predict the nuclear shape parameters ( β2, β4, γ) for the various assigned configurations. The assigned configurations have been discussed in the framework of a microscopic theory based on the deformed Hartree-Fock (HF) and angular-momentum projection techniques.  相似文献

The low spin states of 223Ra have been populated via α-decay from 227Th which was itself produced following β decay of an 227Ac source. α–γ and α−e K,L,M angular correlation measurements have been analysed using the correct ground state spins of 227Th(=1/2+) and 223Ra(=3/2+) for the first time. The analysis has allowed unique Jπ values to be assigned to almost all levels below 400 keV excitation in 223Ra. Values of (g Kg R)/Q 0 have been deduced for several members of the K= 3/2± bands (for the first time in an odd N nucleus in this mass region) allowing estimates of g K and g R to be extracted. The values of g K and g R are not significantly different for the positive and negative parity band members and tend to support other strong evidence that stable octupole deformation exists in 223Ra at low excitation energies. The light cone QCD sum rules are derived for the K * Kπ coupling g K * Kπ and the ρππ coupling g ρππ. The contribution from the excited states and the continuum is subtracted cleanly through the double Borel transform with respect to the two external momenta, p 1 2, p 2 2= (pq)2. Our result g K * Kπ= (8.7 ± 0.5) and g ρππ= (11.5 ± 0.8) is in good agreement with the experimental value. Received: 31 July 1998 / Revised version: 20 November 1998  相似文献

High-spin states in the odd-odd 168Lu nucleus, populated in the 154Sm(19F,5n) reaction at a beam energy of 96 MeV, were investigated using in-beam γ-ray spectroscopy techniques. The BC neutron crossing in the yrast band, based on πg 7/2[404]7/2+⊗νi 13/2[642]5/2+ configuration, occurs at ħω= 0.31 MeV. The two side bands, based on πh 11/2[514]9/2⊗νi 13/2[642]5/2+ and πh 9/2[541]1/2⊗νi 13/2[642]5/2+ configurations, show anomalous signature-splitting and signature-inversion in the first one, to occur at ħω= 0.24 MeV. A moderately delayed BC-crossing is anticipated in the second one. Received: 15 June 1998 / Revised version: 11 January 1999  相似文献

High-spin states of 117Xe were investigated by means of in-beam γ-ray spectroscopic techniques via the reaction of 28Si bombarding a 92Mo target at beam energies of 100-120 MeV. A positive-parity rotational band decaying into the yrast negative-parity band by a series of enhanced E1 transitions was observed for the first time, implying the existence of octupole correlations in 117Xe. The B(E1) values increase with spin. The νd5/2 band was firmly established up to 27/2+ and the B(M1)/B(E2) ratios were extracted from the relative intensities of γ-rays in this band. The previously known νh11/2 and νg7/2 [413]5/2+α=−1/2 bands were confirmed and extended up to high spins and two bandcrossings are observed in the latter at ħω=0.33 and 0.44 MeV, respectively. The bandcrossings and configurations of these bands are discussed by TRS and CSM calculations. In a γ–γ–t measurement, the 11/2 and 7/2 levels were identified as two isomers with half-lives of 59.4±20 ns and 16.5±8.0 ns, respectively. We have observed three γ -ray transitions in Λ 16 O from both 7MeV excited spin-flip and non-spin-flip partners ( 2-, 1- 2 to the ground-state doublet ( 1- 1, 0- via the 16O(K --) reaction. The 7MeV excitation energies of the spin-doublet members ( 2-, 1- 2 were determined to be 6784±4±4 keV and 6562±1±2 keV, respectively, and thus the spacing was obtained to be 222±4±5 keV. This is the first observation of the spin-flip state directly populated by the ( K -- reaction. Moreover, such directly populated spin-flip and non-spin-flip partners were resolved for the first time.  相似文献

High-Spin states of odd-odd 166Lu were populated using the 139La(30Si,3nγ)166Lu at a beam energy of 120 MeV. Twelve new γ-rays were placed on top of the previously known two rotational bands built upon πg 7/2νi 13/2 and πh 11/2νi 13/2. Extending high-spin states up to 21+ and 25 for each band, we have observed the onset of band crossing near ħω c ≈ 0.35 MeV. The band crossing frequency of the yrast πh 11/2νi 13/2 band is consistent with the neutron BC band crossing observed in lighter odd-odd Lu isotopes.  相似文献

A recoil distance method was used to measure half-lives of the excited states of 145Sm. The reaction used was 139La(10B, 4n)145Sm. A plunger system was used. Half-lives were determined for two excited states for the first time. The yrast 27/2+ state was found to have a half-life of 1.1 ± 0.2 ns corresponding to the retardation of 3.1 × 10−4 comparing with the single particle estimate of M1. The excitation energy of this state was well reproduced by the shell model calculation having a mixed configuration of [π{h11/2(g7/2)−2 (d5/2)−1}10−, νf7/2] + [π{h11/2(g7/2)−1}9−,νh9/2]. Another retarded E1 transition was also found in a decay of a 21/2+ state. Its retardation was 1.6 × 10−4 comparing with the single particle value. BES II data for J/Ψ↦K *(890)Kπ reveal a strong κ peak in the Kπ S-wave near threshold. Both magnitude and phase are determined in slices of Kπ mass by interferences with strong K 0(1430), K 1(1270) and K 1(1400) signals. The phase variation with mass agrees within errors with LASS data for Kπ elastic scattering. A combined fit is presented to both BES and LASS data. The fit uses a Breit-Wigner amplitude with an s-dependent width containing an Adler zero. The κ pole is at (760±20(stat)±40(syst)) - i(420±45(stat)±60(syst)) MeV. The S-wave I = 0 scattering length a 0 = 0.23±0.04 m π -1 is close to the prediction 0.19±0.02 m π -1 of Chiral Perturbation Theory at O(p 4). An erratum to this article can be found at .  相似文献

Excited states in 175Yb, 176Yb and 177Yb were populated via the bombardment of a 176Yb target with a 750 MeV 136Xe beam. Gamma-ray decays from these states were measured with the AFRODITE multi-detector spectrometer. The rotational band previously assigned to the ground state of 177Yb has been reassigned to the first-excited state of 175Yb. A new rotational band based on the ground state of 177Yb is presented, and the band based on the Kπ = 4- two-quasiparticle state in 176Yb has been identified. Also a candidate for the rotational band based on the Kπ = 8-, T1/2 = 11.4(3) s two-quasiparticle state in 176Yb has been found. Comparisons of gK values derived from in-band branching ratios are consistent with the ν9/2+[624] assignment to the ground state of 177Yb, the ν2{9/2+[624] ⊗ 1/2-[510]} assignment to the Kπ = 4- state and with the ν2{9/2+[624] ⊗ 7/2-[514]} assignment to the Kπ = 8- metastable excited state in 176Yb.  相似文献

High spin states in 178Ir have been studied via the 152Sm(31P, 5nγ)178Ir reaction through excitation functions, X-γ and γ-γ-t coincidence measurements. According to the band structure characteristics and the measured intraband B(M1)/B(E2) ratios, two rotational bands are identified and assigned to be associated with the πh 9/2⊗νi 13/2 and πh 11/2⊗νi 13/2 configurations, respectively. Both bands show the signature inversion feature. Received: 23 March 2000 / Accepted: 31 July 2000  相似文献

The electron-capture decay of 228Pa to levels in 228Th was studied using mass-separated sources and a γ-ray detection system consisting of five Compton-suppressed Ge detectors. A total of 87 levels were observed up to an excitation energy of 2 MeV which are connected by approximately 500 γ-ray transitions. The complete octupole quadruplet, three excited K π=0+ bands and two K π=2+ bands were identified below 1.4 MeV. The observed level structure is compared to calculations within the quasiparticle-phonon nuclear model. The surprisingly good agreement indicates that 228Th has less transitional character than hitherto assumed. Received: 30 March 1998  相似文献

The interchange of two sets of spins in the level structure of219Ra observed following the alpha decay of223Th and the suggestion that the ground state of219Ra was not observed in the heavy ion reaction spectroscopy208Pb(14C, 3n), allow the correlation of these levels which were previously unconnected. The resulting level structure is interpreted in terms of and parity doublet bands which evolve from anomalous rotational structures into vibrational-like structures with alternating spins and parities. The level structure of219Ra is successfully interpreted both in terms of octupole deformed (ε 3=0.08) Nilsson levels and in terms of intermediate coupling using normal Nilsson levels with very strong octupole correlations. The levels in219Ra are then compared to the corresponding levels in a series of isotopic and isotonic nuclei to trace the collapse of octupole-quadrupole deformed nuclear structure into the more degenerate shell-model spectroscopy.  相似文献

Configuration assignments are derived for the observed energy levels in the odd-odd deformed nucleus170Lu99 based on the calculations of the two-particle band head energies for a zero range residual interaction, the beta-feeding characteristics, and the observed features for similar bands in the neighbouring nuclei. In particular, specific assignments are given for theJ π =1+ levels at 198.4 keV, 349.0 keV and 785.5 keV. The ambiguities with respect to the assignments for theK π=3 bands are discussed. A new isomer withJ π =7+ and half-life of several seconds is predicted around (225±25) keV and experiments are suggested to identify it.  相似文献

The band structures built on the 5- isomeric state ( T 1/2 = 3.46 m) in the doubly odd 130Cs nucleus have been established up to I = 24? via the 124Sn(11B, 5n)130Cs reaction. The previously observed bands based on the πh 11/2⊗νh 11/2, πg 7/2⊗νh 11/2 and πd 5/2⊗νh 11/2 configurations and a positive-parity side band with multiple connections to the α = 0 signature partner of the yrast πh 11/2⊗νh 11/2 band have been extended to higher spins. A new band based on the πh 11/2⊗νg 7/2 configuration is observed. The yrast πh 11/2⊗νh 11/2 band exhibits anomalous signature splitting whose magnitude decreases up to spin 15 and then increases without restoring the normal signature splitting. The decay out of the πh 11/2νh 11/2 band to the known low-energy levels in 132La was studied using the reaction 100Mo + 36S at 160 MeV beam energy. The low-energy level scheme has been further developed and unambiguous spin and parity values have been assigned to the levels connecting the band to the 6- isomeric state. According to the new level scheme the spins in the πh 11/2νh 11/2 band are shifted up by one unit compared to the earlier tentative experimental values. The obtained new spins prove the existence of signature inversion in 132La and give further support to the spin assignments made for the πh 11/2νh 11/2 bands in the neighbouring odd-odd La isotopes from level energy systematics. High-spin states in 187Pt were studied via the 173Yb(18O, 4n) reaction. Rotational bands based on the νi13/2, ν7/2[503], νi2 13/2νj, ν3/2[512] and ν1/2[521] configurations were observed, and interpreted within the framework of the cranked shell model. The TRS calculations show that the νi13/2 band has an appreciable negative γ deformation, and the negative-parity bands tend to have a near prolate shape with small positive γ values. Experimental values of B(M1)/B(E2) ratios have been extracted and compared with theoretical values from the semi-classical D?nau and Frauendof approach, strongly suggesting a low frequency πh9/2 alignment in the ν7/2[503] band.
