We study the asymptotic behaviour of Markov chains (Xn,ηn)(Xn,ηn) on Z+×SZ+×S, where Z+Z+ is the non-negative integers and SS is a finite set. Neither coordinate is assumed to be Markov. We assume a moments bound on the jumps of XnXn, and that, roughly speaking, ηnηn is close to being Markov when XnXn is large. This departure from much of the literature, which assumes that ηnηn is itself a Markov chain, enables us to probe precisely the recurrence phase transitions by assuming asymptotically zero drift for XnXn given ηnηn. We give a recurrence classification in terms of increment moment parameters for XnXn and the stationary distribution for the large- XX limit of ηnηn. In the null case we also provide a weak convergence result, which demonstrates a form of asymptotic independence between XnXn (rescaled) and ηnηn. Our results can be seen as generalizations of Lamperti’s results for non-homogeneous random walks on Z+Z+ (the case where SS is a singleton). Motivation arises from modulated queues or processes with hidden variables where ηnηn tracks an internal state of the system.  相似文献

We consider the Itô SDE with a non-degenerate diffusion coefficient and a measurable drift coefficient. Under the condition that the gradient of the diffusion coefficient and the divergences of the diffusion and drift coefficients are exponentially integrable with respect to the Gaussian measure, we show that the stochastic flow leaves the reference measure absolutely continuous.  相似文献

We consider non-linear stochastic functional differential equations (sfde's) on Euclidean space. We give sufficient conditions for the sfde to admit locally compact smooth cocycles on the underlying infinite-dimensional state space. Our construction is based on the theory of finite-dimensional stochastic flows and a non-linear variational technique. In Part II of this article, the above result will be used to prove a stable manifold theorem for non-linear sfde's.  相似文献

We study long time asymptotic properties of constrained diffusions that arise in the heavy traffic analysis of multiclass queueing networks. We first consider the classical diffusion model with constant coefficients, namely a semimartingale reflecting Brownian motion (SRBM) in a dd-dimensional positive orthant. Under a natural stability condition on a related deterministic dynamical system [P. Dupuis, R.J. Williams, Lyapunov functions for semimartingale reflecting brownian motions, Annals of Probability 22 (2) (1994) 680–702] showed that an SRBM is ergodic. We strengthen this result by establishing geometric ergodicity for the process. As consequences of geometric ergodicity we obtain finiteness of the moment generating function of the invariant measure in a neighborhood of zero, uniform time estimates for polynomial moments of all orders, and functional central limit results. Similar long time properties are obtained for a broad family of constrained diffusion models with state dependent coefficients under a natural condition on the drift vector field. Such models arise from heavy traffic analysis of queueing networks with state dependent arrival and service rates.  相似文献

We establish a criterion for the existence of an invariant measure for Markov processes acting on measures defined on an arbitrary complete separable metric space. This criterion is applied to time-homogeneous Markov processes associated with a nonlinear heat equation driven by an impulsive noise.  相似文献

We state and prove a Local Stable Manifold Theorem (Theorem 4.1) for non-linear stochastic differential systems with finite memory (viz. stochastic functional differential equations (sfde's)). We introduce the notion of hyperbolicity for stationary trajectories of sfde's. We then establish the existence of smooth stable and unstable manifolds in a neighborhood of a hyperbolic stationary trajectory. The stable and unstable manifolds are stationary and asymptotically invariant under the stochastic semiflow. The proof uses infinite-dimensional multiplicative ergodic theory techniques developed by D. Ruelle, together with interpolation arguments.  相似文献

We study stochastic equations of non-negative processes with jumps. The existence and uniqueness of strong solutions are established under Lipschitz and non-Lipschitz conditions. Under suitable conditions, the comparison properties of solutions are proved. Those results are applied to construct continuous state branching processes with immigration as strong solutions of stochastic equations.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is, in multivariate linear regression model (Part I) and GMANOVA model (Part II), to investigate the effect of nonnormality upon the nonnull distributions of some multivariate test statistics under normality. It is shown that whatever the underlying distributions, the difference of local powers up to order N−1 after either Bartlett’s type adjustment or Cornish-Fisher’s type size adjustment under nonnormality coincides with that in Anderson [An Introduction to Multivariate Statistical Analysis, 2nd ed. and 3rd ed., Wiley, New York, 1984, 2003] under normality. The derivation of asymptotic expansions is based on the differential operator associated with the multivariate linear regression model under general distributions. The performance of higher-order results in finite samples, including monotone Bartlett’s type adjustment and monotone Cornish-Fisher’s type size adjustment, is examined using simulation studies.  相似文献

We investigate some properties of the partially ordered sets of multivariate copulas and quasi-copulas. Whereas the set of bivariate quasi-copulas is a complete lattice, which is order-isomorphic to the Dedekind-MacNeille completion of the set of bivariate copulas, we show that this is not the case in higher dimensions.  相似文献

Stochastic networks with time varying arrival and service rates and routing structure are studied. Time variations are governed by, in addition to the state of the system, two independent finite state Markov processes X and Y. The transition times of X are significantly smaller than typical inter-arrival and processing times whereas the reverse is true for the Markov process Y. By introducing a suitable scaling parameter one can model such a system using a hierarchy of time scales. Diffusion approximations for such multiscale systems are established under a suitable heavy traffic condition. In particular, it is shown that, under certain conditions, properly normalized buffer content processes converge weakly to a reflected diffusion. The drift and diffusion coefficients of this limit model are functions of the state process, the invariant distribution of X, and a finite state Markov process which is independent of the driving Brownian motion.  相似文献

This paper discusses ordering properties of lifetimes of parallel systems with two independent heterogeneous gamma components in terms of dispersive and star orders. It is proved, among others, that the p-larger order between the two scale vectors implies the dispersive order and the star order between lifetimes of two parallel systems. Another sufficient condition is also provided for the star order between the lifetimes of two parallel systems. The results established here extend some of the known results in the literature.  相似文献

A multivariate Lévy-driven continuous time autoregressive moving average (CARMA) model of order (p,qp,q), q<pq<p, is introduced. It extends the well-known univariate CARMA and multivariate discrete time ARMA models. We give an explicit construction using a state space representation and a spectral representation of the driving Lévy process. Furthermore, various probabilistic properties of the state space model and the multivariate CARMA process itself are discussed in detail.  相似文献

Constrained diffusions, with diffusion matrix scaled by small ?>0, in a convex polyhedral cone GRk, are considered. Under suitable stability assumptions small noise asymptotic properties of invariant measures and exit times from domains are studied. Let BG be a bounded domain. Under conditions, an “exponential leveling” property that says that, as ?→0, the moments of functionals of exit location from B, corresponding to distinct initial conditions, coalesce asymptotically at an exponential rate, is established. It is shown that, with appropriate conditions, difference of moments of a typical exit time functional with a sub-logarithmic growth, for distinct initial conditions in suitable compact subsets of B, is asymptotically bounded. Furthermore, as initial conditions approach 0 at a rate ?2 these moments are shown to asymptotically coalesce at an exponential rate.  相似文献

We prove W1,p estimates for elliptic equations in divergence form under the assumption that for each point and for each sufficiently small scale there is a coordinate system so that the coefficients have small oscillation in (n−1) directions. We assume the boundary to be δ-Reifenberg flat and the coefficients having small oscillation in the flat direction of the boundary.  相似文献
