The reaction of the C=N bond in PhCH=NPh with the carbanionic species Ph2PCH2-, leading to the N-phenyl beta-aminophosphine Ph2PCH2CH(Ph)NHPh, L1, is described. This molecule reacts with different organic electrophiles to afford related compounds Ph2PCH2CH(Ph)NPhX (X = SiMe3, L2; COPh, L4), [Ph2MePCH2CH(Ph)NHPh]+(I-), L3, and [Ph2PCH2CH(Ph)N(Ph)CO]2, L5, containing two amido and two phosphino functions. The coordination properties of L1, L2, and L4 have been studied in palladium chemistry. The X-ray structure of [PdCl2(Ph2PCH2CH(Ph)NHPh-kappaP,kappaN)] shows the bidentate coordination mode for the L1 ligand with equatorial C(Ph)-N(Ph) phenyl groups. [PdCl2(Ph2PCH2CH(Ph)NHPh-kappaP,kappaN)] crystallizes at 298 K in the space group P2(1)/n with cell parameters a = 10.689(2) A, b = 21.345(3) A, c = 12.282(2) A, beta = 90.294(12) degrees, Z = 4, D(calcd) = 1.526. The reaction between 2 equiv of L1 and [PdCl(eta3-C3H5)]2 affords the [PdCl(eta3-C3H5)(Ph2PCH2CH(Ph)NHPh-kappaP)] complex in which an unexpected N-H.Cl intramolecular interaction has been observed by an X-ray diffraction analysis. [PdCl(eta3-C3H5)(Ph2PCH2CH(Ph)NHPh-kappaP)] crystallizes at 298 K in the monoclinic space group Cc with cell parameters a = 10.912(1) A, b = 17.194(2) A, c = 14.169(2) A, beta = 100.651(9) degrees, Z = 4, D(calcd) = 1.435. Neutral and cationic alkyl or allyl palladium chloride complexes containing L1 are also reported as well as a neutral allyl palladium chloride complex containing L4. Variable-temperature 31P[1H] NMR studies on the allyl complexes show that the eta3/eta1 allyl interconversion is enhanced by a positive charge and also by a N-H.Cl intramolecular interaction.  相似文献

Two new compounds, [Ph3PCH2Ph]2[Zn3(tp)3Cl2] (1) and Ni3(tma)2(H2O)8 (2) (tp = terephthalate, tma = trimesate), are metal-polycarboxylate coordination polymers prepared by similar hydrothermal synthesis techniques. X-ray single-crystal structural analysis shows that both compounds crystallize in the 2D claylike lamellar architectures, in which 1 possesses the interlayer [Ph3PCH2Ph]+ exchangeable cation and has been confirmed by PXRD patterns. 1 (C74H56Cl2O12P2Zn3) belongs to monoclinic P21/c, Z = 2 (a = 18.956(1) A, b = 10.2697(5) A, c = 17.067(1) A, beta = 99.486(4) degrees ). 2 (C18H22O20Ni3) is attributed to triclinic P, Z = 1 (a = 6.6643(8) A, b = 9.622(1) A, c = 10.089(1) A, alpha = 112.675(2) degrees , beta = 94.007(1) degrees, gamma = 106.411(2) degrees ). Linear metal trinuclear clusters bridged by rigid linear tp ligands for 1 and trigonal tma ligands for 2 give rise to a novel 2D 6-linked (3,6) topological anionic network in 1 and an interesting 2D 3,6-linked molybdenite topological neutral network in 2, respectively. Both compounds exhibit intense fluorescent emission bands at 410 nm (lambda(exc) = 355 nm) for 1 and 398 nm (lambda(exc) = 300 nm) for 2 in the solid state at room temperature.  相似文献

New ionic technetium complexes of the type trans-[Tc(PR3)4Cl2]+ are synthesized by various methods. The simplest method is the reaction of [TcO4]- with the phosphine in methanol in the presence of a chloride salt. Compounds containing PMe2Ph and PMe3 are synthesized and characterized by crystallographic methods. The complexes containing the less bulky phosphine can be prepared from complexes containing the bulker phosphine. The compounds are paramagnetic, with two unpaired electrons. The complexes studied by X-ray diffraction methods are the trans isomers. [Tc(PMe2Ph)4Cl2]PF6 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c, with a = 11.511(2) A, b = 26.713(7) A, c = 12.688(3) A, beta = 92.79(1) degrees, Z = 4, and R1 = 0.0574. [Tc(PMe3)4Cl2]BPh4 (II) crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pbcn, with a = 18.213(5) A, b = 22.950(5) A, c = 19.428(6) A, Z = 8, and R1 = 0.0691. [Tc(PMe3)4Cl2]PF6 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c, with a = 18.152(7) A, b = 16.838(9) A, c = 18.090(6) A, beta = 106.63(1) degrees, Z = 8, and R1 = 0.0670. The compounds all have octahedral coordination, but an important tetrahedral deformation of the plane containing the Tc and the four P atoms is observed in each case. In II, the two independent Tc atoms are both located on 2-fold axes.  相似文献

Four platinum(II) cationic complexes were prepared with the mer-coordinating tridentate ligands 2,6-bis(N-pyrazolyl)pyridine (bpp) and 2,6-bis(3,5-dimethyl-N-pyrazolyl)pyridine (bdmpp): [Pt(bpp)Cl]Cl.H(2)O; [Pt(bdmpp)Cl]Cl.H(2)O; [Pt(bpp)(Ph)](PF(6)); [Pt(bdmpp)(Ph)](PF(6)). The complexes were characterized by (1)H NMR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, and mass spectrometry, and the structures of the bpp derivatives were determined by X-ray crystallography. [Pt(bpp)Cl]Cl.2H(2)O: monoclinic, P2(1)/n, a = 11.3218(5) A, b = 6.7716(3) A, c = 20.6501(6) A, beta = 105.883(2) degrees, V = 1522.73(11) A(3), Z = 4. The square planar cations stack in a head-to-tail fashion to form a linear chain structure with alternating Pt...Pt distances of 3.39 and 3.41 A. [Pt(bpp)(Ph)](PF(6)).CH(3)CN: triclinic, P, a = 8.3620(3) A, b = 10.7185(4) A, c = 13.4273(5) A, alpha = 96.057(1) degrees, beta = 104.175(1) degrees, gamma = 110.046(1) degrees, V = 1072.16(7) A(3), Z = 2. Cyclic voltammograms indicate all four complexes undergo irreversible reductions between -1.0 and -1.3 V vs Ag/AgCl (0.1 M TBAPF(6)/CH(3)CN), attributable to ligand- and/or metal-centered processes. By comparison to related 2,2':6',2' '-terpyridine complexes, the electrochemical and UV-visible absorption data are consistent with bpp being both a weaker sigma-donor and pi-acceptor than terpyridine. Solid samples of [Pt(bpp)(Ph)](PF(6)) at 77 K exhibit a remarkably intense, narrow emission centered at 655 nm, whereas the other three complexes exhibit only very weak emission.  相似文献

[(Ru(eta(6)-p-cymene)(mu-Cl)Cl)(2)] and [(Ru(eta(3):eta(3)-C(10)H(16))(mu-Cl)Cl)(2)] react with Ph(2)PCH(2)P[=NP(=O)(OR)(2)]Ph(2) (R = Et (1a), Ph (1b)) affording complexes [Ru(eta(6)-p-cymene)Cl(2)(kappa(1)-P-Ph(2)PCH(2)P[=NP(=O)(OR)(2)]Ph(2))] (R = Et (2a), Ph (2b)) and [Ru(eta(3):eta(3)-C(10)H(16))Cl(2)(kappa(1)-P-Ph(2)PCH(2)P[=NP(=O)(OR)(2)]Ph(2))] (R = Et (6a), Ph (6b)). Complexes [Ru(eta(6)-p-cymene)(kappa(3)-P,N,O-Ph(2)PCH(2)P[=NP(=O)(OR)(2)]Ph(2))][SbF(6)](2) (R = Et (5a), Ph (5b)) and [Ru(eta(3):eta(3)-C(10)H(16))(kappa(3)-P,N,O-Ph(2)PCH(2)P[=NP(=O)(OR)(2)]Ph(2))][SbF(6)](2) (R = Et (8a), Ph (8b)) have been prepared using 2 equiv of AgSbF(6). The reactivity of 3-5a,b has been explored allowing the synthesis of [Ru(eta(6)-p-cymene)X(2)(kappa(1)-P-Ph(2)PCH(2)P[=NP(=O)(OR)(2)]Ph(2))] (R = Et, Ph; X = Br, I, N(3), NCO (9-12a,b)). The catalytic activity of 2-8a,b in transfer hydrogenation of cyclohexanone, as well as theoretical calculations on the models [Ru(eta(6)-C(6)H(6))Cl(kappa(2)-P,N-H(2)PCH(2)P[=NP(=O)(OH)(2)]H(2))]+ and [Ru(eta(6)-C(6)H(6))Cl(kappa(2)-P,O-H(2)PCH(2)P[=NP(=O)(OH)(2)]H(2))]+, has been also studied.  相似文献

By reaction of Na2[B9H9] with the appropriate N-halogenosuccinimide, the monohalogenated anion [1-XB9H8]2- (X = Cl, Br, or I) is formed. The X-ray diffraction analyses performed on single crystals of (Ph4P)2[1-XB9H8].CH3CN (X = Cl, Br, I) reveal that the tricapped trigonal prismatic geometry of the cluster is retained after substitution in the 1-position. Crystallographic data are as follows for (Ph4P)2[1-XB9H8].CH3CN. X = Cl, Br: monoclinic, space group P2(1), a = 10.7 A, b = 32.9 A, c = 13.8 A, beta = 96 degrees, Z = 4, R1 = 0.038 and R1 = 0.036, respectively. X = I: monoclinic, space group P2(1)/n, a = 10.5 A, b = 13.6 A, c = 33.4 A, beta = 94 degrees, Z = 4, R1 = 0.094. The compounds have been characterized by vibrational and 11B NMR spectroscopy as well.  相似文献

The ligated benzonitriles in the platinum(II) complex [PtCl2(PhCN)2] undergo metal-mediated [2 + 3] cycloaddition with nitrones -ON+(R3)=C(R1)(R2) [R1/R2/R3 = H/Ph/Me, H/p-MeC6H4/Me, H/Ph/CH2Ph] to give delta 4-1,2,4-oxadiazoline complexes, [PtCl2(N=C(Ph)O-N(R3)-C(R1)(R2))2] (2a, 4a, 6a), as a 1:1 mixture of two diastereoisomers, in 60-75% yields, while [PtCl2(MeCN)2] is inactive toward the addition. However, a strong activation of acetonitrile was reached by application of the platinum(IV) complex [PtCl4(MeCN)2] and both [PtCl4(RCN)2] (R = Me, Ph) react smoothly with various nitrones to give [PtCl4(N=C(R)O-N(R3)-C(R1)(R2))2] (1b-6b). The latter were reduced to the corresponding platinum(II) complexes [PtCl2(N=C(R)O-N(R3)-C(R1)(R2))2] (1a-6a) by treatment with PhCH2NHOH, while the reverse reaction, i.e. conversion of 1a-6a to 1b-6b, was achieved by chlorination with Cl2. The diastereoisomers of [PtCl2(N=C(R)O-N(R3)-C(R1)(R2))2] (1a-6a) exhibit different kinetic labilities, and liberation of the delta 4-1,2,4-oxadiazolines by substitution with 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane (dppe) in CDCl3 proceeds at different reaction rates to give free N=C(R)O-N(R3)-C(R1)(R2) and [PtCl2(dppe)] in almost quantitative NMR yield. All prepared compounds were characterized by elemental analyses, FAB mass spectrometry, and IR and 1H, 13C(1H), and 195Pt (metal complexes) NMR spectroscopies; X-ray structure determination of the first (delta 4-1,2,4-oxadiazoline)Pt(II) complexes was performed for (S,S)/(R,R)-rac-[PtCl2(N=C(Me)O-N(Me)-C(H)Ph)2] (1a) (a = 9.3562(4), b = 9.8046(3), c = 13.1146(5) A; alpha = 76.155(2), beta = 83.421(2), gamma = 73.285(2) degrees; V = 1117.39(7) A3; triclinic, P1, Z = 2), (R,S)-meso-[PtCl2(N=C(Ph)O-N(Me)-C(H)Ph)2] (2a) (a = 8.9689(9), b = 9.1365(5), c = 10.1846(10) A; alpha = 64.328(6), beta = 72.532(4), gamma = 67.744(6) degrees; V = 686.82(11) A3; triclinic, P1, Z = 1), (S,S)/(R,R)-rac-[PtCl2(N=C(Me)O-N(Me)-C(H)(p-C6H4Me))2] (3a) (a = 11.6378(2), b = 19.0767(7), c = 11.5782(4) A; beta = 111.062(2) degrees; V = 2398.76(13) A3; monoclinic, P2(1)/c, Z = 4), and (S,S)/(R,R)-rac-[PtCl2(N=C(Me)O-N(CH2Ph)-C(H)Ph2] (5a) (a = 10.664(2), b = 10.879(2), c = 14.388(3) A; alpha = 73.11(3), beta = 78.30(3), gamma = 88.88(3) degrees; V = 1562.6(6) A3; triclinic, P1, Z = 2).  相似文献

Metal selenocarboxylate salts (PPh4)[M(SeC[O]Tol)3] (M = Zn (1), Cd (2) and Hg (3); Tol = C6H4-p-CH3) have been synthesized by reacting Zn(NO3)2 .6H2O, Cd(NO3)2 .4H2O or HgCl2 with (Na+)TolC[O]Se- and PPh4Cl in the ratio of 1 : 4 : 1. The structures of these compounds were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction methods. The crystal structures contain discrete cations and anions. In the each anion, the metal center is bound to three TolC[O]Se ligands, primarily through Se, though some long M...O interactions also occur. NMR spectra (113Cd, 199Hg and 77Se, as appropriate) are reported for solutions of [M(SeC[O]Tol)3]-, and of [M(SeC[O]Tol)3](-) - [M(SC[O]Ph)3]- mixtures (M = Zn-Hg), in CH2Cl2 at reduced temperatures. In addition, ESI-MS data have been obtained for [M(SeC[O]Tol)(3)](-) - [M(SC[O]Ph)3]- mixtures (M = Zn-Hg) in acetone and in CH2Cl2. The NMR and ESI-MS studies show that the complexes [M(SeC[O]Tol)n(SC[O]Ph)(3-n)]- (n= 3-0) persist in solution.  相似文献

The fluoride congener of Wilkinson's catalyst, [(Ph(3)P)(3)RhF] (1), has been synthesized and fully characterized. Unlike Wilkinson's catalyst, 1 easily activates the inert C-Cl bond of ArCl (Ar = Ph, p-tolyl) under mild conditions (3 h at 80 degrees C) to produce trans-[(Ph(3)P)(2)Rh(Ph(2)PF)(Cl)] (2) and ArPh as a result of C-Cl, Rh-F, and P-C bond cleavage and C-C, Rh-Cl, and P-F bond formation. In benzene (2-3 h at 80 degrees C), 1 decomposes to a 1:1 mixture of trans-[(Ph(3)P)(2)Rh(Ph(2)PF)(F)] (3) and the cyclometalated complex [(Ph(3)P)(2)Rh(Ph(2)PC(6)H(4))] (4). Both the chloroarene activation and the thermal decomposition reactions have been shown to occur via the facile and reversible F/Ph rearrangement reaction of 1 to cis-[(Ph(3)P)(2)Rh(Ph)(Ph(2)PF)] (5), which has been isolated and fully characterized. Kinetic studies of the F/Ph rearrangement, an intramolecular process not influenced by extra phosphine, have led to the determination of E(a) = 22.7 +/- 1.2 kcal mol(-)(1), DeltaH(++) = 22.0 +/- 1.2 kcal mol(-)(1), and DeltaS(++) = -10.0 +/- 3.7 eu. Theoretical studies of F/Ph exchange with the [(PH(3))(2)(PH(2)Ph)RhF] model system pointed to two possible mechanisms: (i) Ph transfer to Rh followed by F transfer to P (formally oxidative addition followed by reductive elimination, pathway 1) and (ii) F transfer to produce a metallophosphorane with subsequent Ph transfer to Rh (pathway 2). Although pathway 1 cannot be ruled out completely, the metallophosphorane mechanism finds more support from both our own and previously reported observations. Possible involvement of metallophosphorane intermediates in various P-F, P-O, and P-C bond-forming reactions at a metal center is discussed.  相似文献

Copper(I) and copper(II) complexes possessing a series of related ligands with pyridyl-containing donors have been investigated. The ligands are tris(2-pyridylmethyl)amine (tmpa), bis[(2-pyridyl)methyl]-2-(2-pyridyl)ethylamine (pmea), bis[2-(2-pyridyl)ethyl]-(2-pyridyl)methylamine (pmap), and tris[2-(2-pyridyl)ethyl]amine (tepa). The crystal structures of the protonated ligand H(tepa)ClO(4), the copper(I) complexes [Cu(pmea)]PF(6) (1b-PF(6)), [Cu(pmap)]PF(6) (1c-PF(6)), and copper(II) complexes [Cu(pmea)Cl]ClO(4).H(2)O (2b-ClO(4).H(2)O), [Cu(pmap)Cl]ClO(4).H(2)O (2c-ClO(4).H(2)O), [Cu(pmap)Cl]ClO(4) (2c-ClO(4)), and [Cu(pmea)F](2)(PF(6))(2) (3b-PF(6)) were determined. Crystal data: H(tepa)ClO(4), formula C(21)H(25)ClN(4)O(4), triclinic space group P1, Z = 2, a = 10.386(2) A, b = 10.723(2) A, c = 11.663(2) A, alpha = 108.77(3) degrees, beta = 113.81(3) degrees, gamma = 90.39(3) degrees; 1b-PF(6), formula C(19)H(20)CuF(6)N(4)P, orthorhombic space group Pbca, Z = 8, a = 14.413(3) A, b = 16.043(3) A, c = 18.288(4) A, alpha = beta = gamma = 90 degrees; (1c-PF(6)), formula C(20)H(22)CuF(6)N(4)P, orthorhombic space group Pbca, Z = 8, a = 13.306(3) A, b = 16.936(3) A, c = 19.163(4) A, alpha = beta = gamma = 90 degrees; 2b-ClO(4).H(2)O, formula C(19)H(22)Cl(2)CuN(4)O(5), triclinic space group P1, Z = 4, a = 11.967(2) A, b = 12.445(3) A, c = 15.668(3) A, alpha = 84.65(3) degrees, beta = 68.57(3) degrees, gamma = 87.33(3) degrees; 2c-ClO(4).H(2)O, formula C(20)H(24)Cl(2)CuN(4)O(5), monoclinic space group P2(1)/c, Z = 4, a = 11.2927(5) A, b = 13.2389(4) A, c = 15.0939(8) A, alpha = gamma = 90 degrees, beta = 97.397(2) degrees; 2c-ClO(4), formula C(20)H(22)Cl(2)CuN(4)O(4), monoclinic space group P2(1)/c, Z = 4, a = 8.7682(4) A, b = 18.4968(10) A, c = 13.2575(8) A, alpha = gamma = 90 degrees, beta = 94.219(4) degrees; 3b-PF(6), formula [C(19)H(20)CuF(7)N(4)P](2), monoclinic space group P2(1)/n, Z = 2, a = 11.620(5) A, b = 12.752(5) A, c = 15.424(6) A, alpha = gamma = 90 degrees, beta = 109.56(3) degrees. The oxidation of the copper(I) complexes with dioxygen was studied. [Cu(tmpa)(CH(3)CN)](+) (1a) reacts with dioxygen to form a dinuclear peroxo complex that is stable at low temperatures. In contrast, only a very labile peroxo complex was observed spectroscopically when 1b was reacted with dioxygen at low temperatures using stopped-flow kinetic techniques. No dioxygen adduct was detected spectroscopically during the oxidation of 1c, and 1d was found to be unreactive toward dioxygen. Reaction of dioxygen with 1a-PF(6), 1b-PF(6), and 1c-PF(6) at ambient temperatures leads to fluoride-bridged dinuclear copper(II) complexes as products. All copper(II) complexes were characterized by UV-vis, EPR, and electrochemical measurements. The results manifest the dramatic effects of ligand variations and particularly chelate ring size on structure and reactivity.  相似文献

Reactions of [Cu(CH(3)CN)(4)]X (X = PF(6), BF(4)) with bis(diphenylphosphino)methane (dppm = Ph(2)PCH(2)PPh(2)) and ammonium dialkyldithiophosphates, (NH(4))[S(2)P(OR)(2)] (R = Et, (i)Pr), yield a series of novel Cu(I) polynuclear complexes, trinuclear [Cu(3)(mu-dppm)(3)(mu(3)-Cl){S(2)P(OEt)(2)}] (PF(6)) 1 and [Cu(3)(mu-dppm)(2){S(2)P(OR)(2)}(2)](PF(6)) (R = Et, 2; (i)Pr, 3), tetranuclear [Cu(4)(mu-dppm)(2) {S(2)P(OEt)(2)}(4)] 4, and hexanuclear [Cu(6)(mu-dppm)(2)(mu(4)-Cl){S(2)P(O(i)()Pr)(2)}(4)](BF(4)) 5. Similarly, the reaction of [Cu(2)(mu-L-L)(2)(CH(3)CN)(2)](PF(6))(2) (L-L, dppm, dppe = Ph(2)PCH(2)CH(2)PPh(2)) with (NH(4))[S(2)P(OR)(2)] yields dinuclear [Cu(2)(mu-dppm)(2){S(2)P(OR)(2)}(2)] 6 (R= (i)Pr, 6A; Et, 6B), trinuclear [Cu(3)(mu-dppe)(3)(mu-Cl)(2){S(2)P(O(i)Pr)(2)}] 9, and polymeric [Cu(mu(2)-dppe){S(2)P(OR)(2)}](n) (R = Et, 7; (i)Pr, 8) complexes. The formation of 1 and 5 involved the abstraction of chloride from dichloromethane when the Cu/S(2)P(OR)(2) ratio exceeded 1, but when ratio was 1:1, no Cl abstraction occurred, as in compound 4. Compound 9, however, was obtained as a 12% byproduct in the synthesis of 8 using a 1:1:1 ratio of Cu/dppe/S(2)P(O(i)Pr)(2). The chloride binds to Cu atoms in a mu(3)-Cl mode by capping one face of the Cu(3) triangle of cluster 1. A mu(4)-Cl caps a single tetragonal face of the trigonal prism of cluster 5, and in the cluster 9, two chlorides bond in mu(2)-Cl modes. Both clusters 2 and 3 exhibit the mu(3)-S mode of bonding for dtp ligands. Only cluster 5 exhibited close Cu...Cu contacts (2.997-3.0238 A). The crystal structures of the following Cu(II) complexes are reported: [Cu(HL3)](ClO4)(3), C11H31Cl3CuN6O12, monoclinic, P2(1)/n, a = 8.294(2) A, b = 18.364(3) A, c = 15.674(3) A, beta = 94.73(2) degrees, Z = 4; ([Cu2(L4)(CO3)](2))(ClO4)(4).4H2O, C40H100Cl4Cu4N12O26, triclinic, P1, a = 9.4888(8) A, b = 13.353(1) A, c = 15.329(1) A, alpha = 111.250(7) degrees, beta = 90.068(8) degrees, gamma = 105.081(8) degrees, Z = 1; [Cu2(L5)(OH2)(2)](ClO4)(4), C13H36Cl4Cu2N6O18, monoclinic, P2(1)/c, a = 7.225(2) A, b = 8.5555(5) A, c = 23.134(8) A, beta = 92.37(1) degrees, Z = 2; [Cu2(L6)(OH2)(2)](ClO4)(4).3H2O, C14H44Cl4Cu2N6O21, monoclinic, P2(1)/a, a = 15.204(5) A, b = 7.6810(7) A, c = 29.370(1) A, beta = 100.42(2) degrees, Z = 4. Solution spectroscopic properties of the bimetallic complexes indicate that significant conformational changes occur upon dissolution, and this has been probed with EPR spectroscopy and molecular mechanics calculations.  相似文献

Mixtures of [Ph(3)PNPPh(3)](+)Cl(-) with CuBr(2) (or CuBr(2)+CuCl(2)) in ethanol/dichloromethane yield crystals containing three-coordinate copper(II) with mixed chloride and bromide ligands, namely [Ph(3)PNPPh(3)](+)[CuCl(0.9)Br(2.1)](-) (1) and [Ph(3)PNPPh(3)](+)[CuCl(2.4)Br(0.6)](-) (2). The trigonal-planar coordination of copper(II) is angularly distorted but unambiguous, as there is no other halide ligand within 6.7 A of the copper atom. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations on planar [CuClBr(2)](-) show that the energy surface for angle bending is very soft. Crystallisation in the presence of CH(3)CN yields [Ph(3)PNPPh(3)](+)[CuCl(0.7)Br(2.3)(NCCH(3))](-) (3), in which there is additional secondary coordination by NCCH(3) (Cu-N 2.44 A). DFT calculations of the potential energy surface for this secondary coordination show that it is remarkably flat (<3 kcal mol(-1) for a variation of Cu-N by 0.8 A). The crystal packing in 1, 2 and 3, which involves multiple phenyl embraces between [Ph(3)PNPPh(3)](+) ions and numerous C-H...Cl and C-H...Br motifs, is associated with intermolecular energies that are larger than the variations in intramolecular energies. For reference, the crystal structures of [Ph(3)PNPPh(3)(+)](2)[Cu(2)Cl(6)](2-) (4) and [Ph(3)PNPPh(3)(+)](2)[Cu(2)Br(6)](2-) (5) are described. We conclude 1) that three-coordinate copper(II) with monatomic halide ligands, although uncommon, can be regarded as normal, 2) that steric control by ligands is not necessary to enforce three-coordination, 3) that a hydrophobic aryl environment stabilises [Cu(Cl/Br)(3)](-), and 4) that the energy change in the transition from three- to four-coordinate copper(II) is very small (ca 5 kcal mol(-1)).  相似文献

Reaction of [Zr(6)Cl(18)H(5)](3)(-) (1) with 1 equiv of TiCl(4) yields a new cluster anion, [Zr(6)Cl(18)H(5)](2)(-) (2), which can be converted back into [Zr(6)Cl(18)H(5)](3)(-) (1) upon addition of 1 equiv of Na/Hg. Cluster 2 is paramagnetic and unstable in the presence of donor molecules. It undergoes a disproportionation reaction to form 1, some Zr(IV) compounds, and H(2). It also reacts with TiCl(4) to form [Zr(2)Cl(9)](-) (4) and a tetranuclear mixed-metal species, [Zr(2)Ti(2)Cl(16)](2)(-) (3). The oxidation reaction of 1 with TiCl(4) is unique. Oxidation of 1 with H(+) in CH(2)Cl(2) solution results in the formation of [ZrCl(6)](2)(-) (5) and H(2), while in py solution the oxidation product is [ZrCl(5)(py)](-) (6). There is no reaction between 1 and TiI(4), ZrCl(4), [TiCl(6)](2)(-), [ZrCl(6)](2)(-), or CrCl(3). A variety of crystals containing molecules formulated generally as (ArnX)3Y-Z-Y(XArn)3 with exact or pseudo S6 symmetry have been analysed for the presence of intra- and intermolecular multiple aryl embraces composed of offset-face-to-face (OFF) and edge-to-face (EF) local motifs. Ar is phenyl or substituted phenyl; n = 1, 2 or 3; the linkage Z is linear diatomic, linear monatomic, absent (Y-Y bond), or void (Y atoms unconnected). Representative molecular systems analysed are (PhCH2)3Si-O-Si(CH2Ph)3, (PhCH2)3Sn-Sn(CH2Ph)3, (4-Me-C6H4CH2)3Ge-O-Ge(CH2C6H4-4-Me)3, [(PhS)3Fe-O-Fe(SPh)3]-, [(PhCH2)3P-Cu-P(CH2Ph)3]+ and [(Ph3P)3Ag-CN-Ag(PPh3)3]+. One characteristic intramolecular motif is a sixfold phenyl embrace (6PE) in which aryl groups fold back to the central domain of the molecule forming a rhombohedral box maintained by (EF)6. When the aryl groups are in exo positions there is an (EF)3 motif, like a tractor wheel, at each end of the molecule: [(Ph2N)3Ti-O-Ti(NPh2)3] possesses both intramolecular motifs as (EF)3-(EF)6-(EF)3. The molecules in this set are hexafaceted, and the crystal packing is generally based on intermolecular EF or OFF motifs with these faces, either from the central (EF)6 set or the end (EF)3-(EF)3 sets. Three types of subtle crystal packing isomerism occur: 1) the faces of the rhombohedral boxlike molecules slide over each other with variation of the intermolecular motifs, forming dimorphic crystals in space groups R3 or P1; 2) the faces of the tractor wheels (EF)3 slide over each other or 3) very similar molecules crystallise with the rhombohedral box or tractor wheel structures. In general the molecules considered are shape auspicious rather than shape awkward; solvent is included in a small proportion of the crystals and the crystal packing in these compounds is evidently efficient. Some principles for elaboration of these systems and the design of molecular crystal lattices are considered.  相似文献

The crystal structure consists of a strongly hydrogen bonded network of tris(N-ethylammonium)ammonium cations, Cu3Cl12(6)- trimeric species, and Cl- anions. The Cu3Cl12(6)- trimers are formed by two distorted tetrahedral CuCl4(2)- anions linked to a central square planar CuCl4(2)- anion via semicoordinate Cu-Cl...Cu mu1 bridges. The central copper ion shows only small deviations from ideal D4h symmetry, while the terminal copper ions show a mild distortion from D2d symmetry with an average trans Cl-Cu-Cl angle of 136.0 degrees. The semicoordinate linkages provide a ferromagnetic exchange pathway between the copper ions with J/k = 6.91(3) K. Short Cl...Cl contacts (3.67-3.90 angstoms) lead to very weak antiferromagnetic coupling between the ferromagnetically coupled trimers.  相似文献

Three bimetallic assemblies with alternate homometallic bridges through chloride ligands and heterometallic bridges through cyanide ligands of formula [(323)(2)Cu(2)(Cl)M(CN)(6)](n).2n(H(2)O), where 323 = N,N'-bis(3-aminopropyl)ethylenediamine and M = Co(3+) for 1, Fe(3+) for 2, and Cr(3+) for 3, were synthesized. They have been characterized structurally, analytically, spectroscopically, and magnetically. All three assemblies crystallize in the monoclinic system in the same space group P2(1)/n, with a = 11.642(2) A, b = 10.285(3) A, c = 13.622(2) A, beta = 95.69(3) degrees, V = 1623.1(6) A(3), and Z = 4 for 1; a = 11.681(4) A, b = 10.315(3) A, c = 13.567(5) A, beta = 95.62(3) degrees, V = 1626.8(9) A(3), Z = 4 for 2, and a = 11.782(4) A, b = 10.386(2) A, c = 13.755(4) A, beta = 95.51(3) degrees, V = 1657.4(8) A(3), Z = 4 for 3. Crystal structure analyses reveal that one-dimensional zigzag chains propagate in two different crystallographic directions (a and b) which are held together during the course of their propagation. All three assemblies have a homometallic Cu-Cl-Cu core in common. Assembly 1 exhibits metamagnetic behavior and shows weak antiferromagnetic interactions between Cu(2+) paramagnetic centers, through the chloride bridges. The Neel temperature, T(N), is 3.5 K, and the critical field is 4 T. In the presence of a magnetic field larger than 4 T, the local spin doublets of Cu(2+) in the assembly 1 remain in parallel arrangements. Assemblies 2 and 3 may be described as an alternative repetition of the antiferromagnetically coupled Cu-Cl-Cu fragment and ferromagnetically coupled Cu-CN-Fe(3+)/Cr(3+)fragment. The overall magnetic character of the strings in assemblies 2 and 3 are antiferromagnetic. Ferromagnetic interaction evidenced by the (Cu-CN-Fe(3+)/Cr(3+)) fragment was masked by the antiferromagnetic interaction between the Cu(2+) centers through the chloride bridge. The magnetic properties agree well with those expected for two [323 Cu(2+)] and a [Fe(CN)](3+) unit with spin-orbit coupling effect of the low-spin iron(III) ions for 2 and for two [323 Cu(2+)] and a [Cr(CN)](3+) unit for 3. In aqueous solution, trinuclear [(323)(2)Cu(2)M(CN)(6)](+) and dinuclear [(323)CuM(CN)(6)](-) species were observed.  相似文献

Solvatomorphism has been found between two series of complexes of the composition [M(bpy)3]2[NbO(C2O4)3]Cl.nH2O [M = Fe2+ (1, 2), Co2+ (3, 4), Ni2+ (5, 6), Cu2+ (7) and Zn2+ (8, 9); bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine)], crystallizing in the monoclinic space group P2 1/c [3, 5, 8 (n = 11)] or in the orthorhombic space group P21 21 21 [2, 4, 6, 7 (n = 12)]. All the structures contain two symmetry independent [M(bpy)3]2+ cations, one [NbO(C2O4)3]3- anion, one Cl(-) anion, and crystal water molecules. The cations possess a trigonally distorted octahedral geometry, with an additional tetragonal distortion in 7. Analysis of crystal packing reveals a specific type of supramolecular contact comprising four bipyridine ligands from two neighbouring [M(bpy)3]2+ cations--quadruple aryl embrace (QAE) contact. The contact is realized by the alignment of two molecular two-fold rotation axes, preserving the parallel orientation of the molecular three-fold rotation axes. The resulting two-dimensional honeycomb lattices of [M(bpy)3]2+ cations are placed between the hydrogen bonding layers made of [NbO(C2O4)3]3- and Cl(-) anions and the majority of the crystal water molecules. The temperature-dependent magnetic susceptibility measurements (1.8-300 K) show a significant orbital angular momentum contribution for 3 and 4 (high-spin Co2+), the influence of zero-field splitting for 5 and 6(Ni2+) and a substantially paramagnetic Curie behaviour for the Cu2+ compound (7).  相似文献

The nine-membered [-Cu(II)-N-N-](3) ring of trimeric copper-pyrazolato complexes provides a sturdy framework on which water is twice deprotonated in consecutive steps, forming mu(3)-OH and mu(3)-O species. In the presence of excess chlorides the mu(3)-O(H) ligand is replaced by two mu(3)-Cl ions. The interconversion of mu(3)-OH and mu(3)-O and the exchange of mu(3)-O(H) and mu(3)-Cl are reversible, and the three species involved have been structurally characterized: [PPN][Cu(3)(mu(3)-OH)(mu-pz)(3)Cl(3)(thf)].CH(2)Cl(2) (1a), monoclinic P2(1)/n, a = 10.055(2) A, b = 35.428(5) A, c = 15.153(2) A, beta = 93.802(3) degrees, V = 5386(1) A(3), Z = 4; [Bu(4)N][Cu(3)(mu(3)-OH)(mu-pz)(3)Cl(3)] (1b), triclinic P-1, a = 9.135(2) A, b = 13.631(2) A, c = 14.510(2) A, alpha = 67.393(2) degrees, beta = 87.979(2) degrees, gamma = 80.268(3) degrees, V = 1643.2(4) A(3), Z = 2; [PPN](2)[Cu(3)(mu(3)-O)(mu-pz)(3)Cl(3)] (2), monoclinic P2/c, a = 12.807(2) A, b = 13.093(2) A, c = 23.139(4) A, beta = 105.391(3) degrees, V = 3741(1) A(3), Z = 2; [PPN](2)[Cu(3)(mu(3)-Cl)(2)(mu-pz)(3)Cl(3)].0.75H(2)O.0.5CH(2)Cl(2) (3a), triclinic P-1, a = 14.042(2) A, b = 23.978(4) A, c = 25.195(4) A, alpha = 76.796(3) degrees, beta = 79.506(3) degrees, gamma = 77.629(3) degrees, V = 7988(2) A(3), Z = 4; [Bu(4)N](2)[Cu(3)(mu(3)-Cl)(2)(mu-pz)(3)Cl(3)] (3b), monoclinic C2/c, a = 17.220(2) A, b = 15.606(2) A, c = 20.133(2) A, beta = 103.057(2) degrees, V = 5270(1) A(3), Z = 4; [Et(3)NH][Cu(3)(mu(3)-OH)(mu-pz)(3)Cl(3)(pzH)] (4), triclinic P-1, a = 11.498(2) A, b = 11.499(2) A, c = 12.186(2) A, alpha = 66.475(3) degrees, beta = 64.279(3) degrees, gamma = 80.183(3) degrees, V = 1331.0(5) A(3), Z = 2.
