海洋波导的存在使得信号在水中传播过程中产生频散, 从而降低了信号处理质量. 基于声场的波导不变特性, 给出了一种具有普遍意义的Warping变换, 这种变换可以将波导中的信号频散特性简单化. 数值仿真结果表明, 只需要知道波导不变量的取值范围就可以很好地提取出波导的频散曲线, 数值仿真和海上实验数据给出了较为理想的结果.  相似文献

采用多导体传输线分析方法, 对同轴交错圆盘加载波导慢波结构进行了理论分析, 得到了这种慢波结构的色散方程; 利用该色散方程, 得到的色散特性与HFSS仿真软件模拟结果符合良好. 分析了结构参数的变化对同轴交错圆盘加载波导慢波结构的色散特性影响. 结果表明: 增加内径和减小慢波结构的单位周期长度可以拓展慢波结构的带宽. 对同轴圆盘加载波导和同轴交错圆盘加载波导两种慢波结构的色散特性进行了比较, 结果表明: 采用圆盘交错加载方式可以减弱色散, 拓展带宽. 研究结果对同轴交错圆盘加载波导在毫米波行波管中的应用具有指导意义. 关键词: 行波管 同轴交错圆盘加载波导 慢波结构 色散特性  相似文献

提出了单轴各向异性材料为内包层,且其主轴沿光纤轴线(z轴)方向的双包层光纤模型,推出了矢量模特征方程,重点研究了主轴折射率比kcl对波导色散的影响,针对从矢量模特征方程求解波导色散因表达式极为复杂而无法直接求解的困难,提出了一种求解波导色散的有效方法,研究结果发现可以在不改变光波导结构参量的条件下,通过改变kcl可有效地改变光纤的波导色散,也分析了kcl、几何参量S、光学参量R对低次模的传输和截止特性的影响。研究结果为获得更为理想的色散补偿、色散平坦光纤及设计新型无源光器件提供了重要的依据。  相似文献

The dispersion of nonsymmetrical electromagnetic waves in waveguide, partially filled with plasma, is studied numerically and experimentally. An external d.c. coaxial magnetic field is applied to the waveguide. The dispersion equation of these waves is obtained, and it is solved numerically for the experimental conditions. Results are obtained, which show coupling of the waveguide HEl1-modes with the family of the high-frequency plasma HEln-modes. The numerical dispersion curves are experimentally examined, and the influence of the magnetic field and the plasma density is studied.  相似文献

Formulas for calculating the spectral characteristics of waveguide arrays, which are incorporated into waveguide spectrum analyzers based on planar waveguides, channel waveguides, and fiber optical waveguides, are derived taking into account the contribution of both the waveguide dispersion and the material dispersion to the dispersion factor. These formulas are used to study the dependence of the dispersion factor on the waveguide-system parameters for specific models of waveguide arrays. It is shown that consideration of contributions of the waveguide dispersion and material dispersion can affect profoundly the spectral characteristics of waveguide arrays.  相似文献

将增益介质加入金属环构成的表面等离子体激元耦合共振波导,利用传输矩阵及时域有限差分方法研究了不同增益系数下该耦合共振波导的透射谱线、色散关系以及群折射率.结果表明,增益介质共振频率附近的反常色散及正常色散变化能有效影响由共振波导几何结构决定的色散关系曲线,且具有相反的效果,分别使其变得平坦和陡峭,从而放大和缩小由共振波导几何结构决定的群折射率.另外,增益系数随外加抽运光改变的特点使得加入增益介质的耦合共振波导具有传输性能可灵活调节特性.文章的研究对促进耦合共振波导在高密度光学集成中的广泛应用具有积极意义. 关键词: 增益介质 耦合共振波导 表面等离子体激元 群折射率  相似文献

 优化设计了一种220 GHz的折叠波导慢波结构的尺寸,对其冷测特性如色散、耦合阻抗和衰减进行了分析。理论分析和软件仿真结果表明设计的折叠波导慢波结构在中心频率处具有较平缓的色散关系,较高的耦合阻抗和较低的电路衰减。互作用模拟表明,在电子注电压为20 kV,电流为10 mA时,27 mm(50个周期)的折叠波导慢波结构在220 GHz具有14.5 dB的增益,3 dB带宽为16.3 GHz(211.9~228.2 GHz)。  相似文献

The propagation characteristics of a planar waveguide with mirror-conjugate chiralities filled in the core and the cladding (mirror-conjugate chirality waveguide) are presented. The effects of chirality on cutoff, dispersion and field distribution characteristics of the waveguide are studied. The results show that the waveguide with desired features can be made by appropriately selecting the chiralities of the core and the cladding, because the core chirality and cladding chirality have different influences on waveguide propagation characteristics.  相似文献

应用等效折射率模型对折射率导模光子晶体光纤的群速度色散特性进行了详细的讨论。由于光子晶体光纤由单一材料(SiO2)制成,光纤的波导色散决定了总色散,因此讨论中将群速度色散分解为波导色散和材料色散,研究了波导色散与光子晶体光纤的结构参量孔距∧、相对孔径f的关系。分析表明,在f一定的情况下,光子晶体光纤的波导色散与孔距∧的关系符合麦克斯韦方程的比例性质;而在孔距∧确定的情况下,光子晶体光纤的波导色散的零点、极小值点位置与f在所讨论的波长范围内存在线性关系。最后举例说明了通过调整光子晶体光纤的结构参量,可以灵活地设计其色散特性。  相似文献

For optical fibers exhibiting a radially symmetric refractive index profile, there exists an analytical relation that connects waveguide dispersion and the Petermann-II mode field radius. We extend the usefulness of this relation to the nonradially symmetric case of microstructure fibers in the anomalous dispersion regime, yielding a simple relation between dispersion and effective mode field area. Assuming a Gaussian mode distribution, we derive a fundamental upper limit for the effective mode field area that is required to obtain a certain amount of anomalous waveguide dispersion. This relation is demonstrated to show excellent agreement for fiber designs suited for supercontinuum generation and soliton lasers in the near infrared.  相似文献

The invention of the slot waveguide had enabled a number of interesting novel linear or nonlinear optical applications by guiding light in nanometers-wide low index slots guarded by high-index slabs. As one of its key characteristics, the low modal index for this kind of waveguides has been demonstrated by many studies. However, their higher order dispersion properties have not been thoroughly investigated yet, while the growing size and complexity of these devices and their potential nonlinear optical applications involving short optical pulses demand further understanding in their dispersion behavior. We here carry out a numerical study on the higher order dispersion characteristics of the SOI-based slot structures around the 1550 nm wavelength. Our results show that they could have significantly different second order dispersion properties in contrast to the traditional channel SOI waveguides. Their potentially large normal dispersion could have an impact on various nonlinear or linear applications. The relationship between the dispersion performance and the waveguide design is also investigated, and the results could show further venues to optimize or control the dispersion properties of such waveguides.  相似文献

In this paper, an experimental study of air-core dielectric tube waveguide is proposed at terahertz frequencies. By using the THz time domain measure system, the terahertz dispersion characteristics, loss characteristic and energy focusing characteristic of air-core single-layer and dual-layer dielectric tube are obtained. The results show that this type of air-core dielectric tube can realize low dispersion characteristics. Due to the difference of refractive index between two dielectric materials, stronger energy focusing can be achieved in air-core dual-layer dielectric tube. After the coupling of the THz pulse using the dual-layer dielectric tube waveguide, the THz pulse increased 2.4 times compared with the single-layer dielectric tube waveguide at 1.5 THz.  相似文献

从麦克斯韦方程组出发,结合电磁场的边界条件,推导出介质矩形波导导模的一般色散方程.对普通介质矩形波导和左手介质矩形波导的导模场分布分别进行了数值模拟.通过对比两种介质矩形波导的导模场分布的模拟结果,发现左手介质矩形波导Ex22模的场分布比普通介质波导Ex00模的场更集中在波导中部.同时,根据处理普通介质矩形波导的Marcatili方法.类比得到左手介质矩形波导表面模的色散方程,并数值模拟了低阶模的场分布,结果表明,能量主要集中在波导的四个角区以及波导的边缘.  相似文献

In this paper, the optical properties in finite size one dimensional coupled resonator optical waveguide are investigated. The large dependence of the group velocity, dispersion parameter and its higher order slope such as transmission group delay, third order dispersion and intrinsic waveguide induced loss have been studied. By engineering the optical contrast ratio of the medium by using some accessible and compatible materials, according to the equivalent layers theory, the above mentioned parameters can either be adjusted or enhanced dramatically, according to the configuration of the optical networks and users’ requirements. Also, by setting proper choice of the optical contrast ratio, super flattening of the transmittance group delay, third order dispersion spectrum and reduced intrinsic waveguide induced loss can be realized. Our results show the potential applications of the device for preventing the satellite pulse creating and transmitting pulse information distortion in multichannel lightwave systems.  相似文献

We consider a slab waveguide made of a material with negative permeability and negative permittivity, the surrounding medium is conventional. By using the dispersion relation, we show the dispersion curves from the variation of the core width and other physical parameters. The associated energy flow for several thicknesses of the nonlinear layer waveguide is presented. We discuss possible new types of modes that can occur. It is found that the dispersion curves and the energy flow can be controlled by varying the thickness of the guide, the filling factor and the effective plasma frequency. A tight-binding optical waveguide formed by proximity coupling of nearest-neighbor resonators, e.g., a coupled-resonator optical waveguide (CROW), has distinct wave and pulse propagation characteristics compared with a conventional waveguide, and several applications in photonic devices have been proposed recently. But analysis of the dispersion, and in particular the group-velocity dispersion, in such a waveguide requires particular attention: the waveguide displays two distinct regimes of operation, depending on the position of the wave packet in the dispersion relationship.  相似文献

The effects of chirality on cutoff, dispersion characteristics and field distributions of the waveguide are studied. The propagation characteristics of a circular dielectric waveguide with chiral media filled in the cladding are investigated. The relation between the cutoff frequency and the chiral admittance, the dispersion curves for some modes with different angular mode numbers and the transverse distribution of fields are presented. Some new features different from the ordinary circular dielectric waveguide are resulted. The results show that the cladding chirality may lead to a single-mode operation in the circular dielectric waveguide.  相似文献
