Synchronization for generic directed networks is investigated in this paper. Based on Lyapunov stability theory, a sufficient condition for synchronization of directed networks is derived. Compared with other approaches, where weighted path-lengths are required, or the complex eigenvalues of an asymmetric matrix, Jacobian matrix or Kronecker product need to be calculated, the sufficient condition in this paper is simple and convenient to use. Two typical examples of directed networks with chaotic nodes are finally demonstrated to verify the theoretical results and the effectiveness of the proposed synchronization scheme.  相似文献

This paper investigates the well posedness of ordinary differential equations and more precisely the existence (or uniqueness) of a flow through explicit compactness estimates. Instead of assuming a bounded divergence condition on the vector field, a compressibility condition on the flow (bounded Jacobian) is considered. Summary Consider a TPBVP for transferable nonlinear DAE's. In general the shooting equation has a singular Jacobian. A multiple shooting method which has a nonsingular Jacobian and also produces consistent initial values for the integration is presented. Summary Based on the theory of Butcher series this paper developes the order conditions for Rosenbrock methods and its extensions to Runge-Kutta methods with exact Jacobian dependent coefficients. We prove that for superadditive games a necessary and sufficient condition for the bargaining set to coincide with the core is that the monotonic cover of the excess game induced by a payoff be balanced for each imputation in the bargaining set. We present some new results obtained by verifying this condition for specific classes of games. For N-zero-monotonic games we show that the same condition required at each kernel element is also necessary and sufficient for the kernel to be contained in the core. If a strong sufficient optimality condition of second order together with the Mangasarian-Fromowitz and the constant rank constraint qualifications are: satisfied for a parametric optimization problem, then a local optimal solution is strongly stable in the sense of Kojima and the corresponding optimal solution function is locally Lipschitz continuous. In the article the possibilities for the computation of the generalized Jacobian of this function are discussed. We will give formulae for the guaranteed computation of the entire generalized Jacobian, provided that an additional assumption is satisfied. An example will show its necessity. Unfortunately, this assumption is difficult to be verified. Without it, at least one element of the generalized Jacobian can be computed with non-polynomial complexity in the worst case. Stability properties of the solution set of generalized inequality systems with locally Lipschitz functions are obtained under a regularity condition on the generalized Jacobian and the Clarke tangent cone. From these results, we derive sufficient conditions for the optimal value function in a nonsmooth optimization problem to be continuous or locally Lipschitz at a given parameter.  相似文献

The main objective of this short note is to give a sufficient condition for a non constant function k to be Q curvature candidate for a conformal metric on a closed Riemannian manifold with the null Q-curvature. In contrast to the prescribed scalar curvature on the two-dimensional flat tori, the condition we provided is not necessary as some examples show. We give a necessary and sufficient condition in terms of a matrix for which all Tate classes are Lefschetz for simple abelian varieties over an algebraic closure of a finite field. In this article, we propose a shooting algorithm for a class of optimal control problems for which all control variables appear linearly. The shooting system has, in the general case, more equations than unknowns and the Gauss–Newton method is used to compute a zero of the shooting function. This shooting algorithm is locally quadratically convergent, if the derivative of the shooting function is one-to-one at the solution. The main result of this paper is to show that the latter holds whenever a sufficient condition for weak optimality is satisfied. We note that this condition is very close to a second order necessary condition. For the case when the shooting system can be reduced to one having the same number of unknowns and equations (square system), we prove that the mentioned sufficient condition guarantees the stability of the optimal solution under small perturbations and the invertibility of the Jacobian matrix of the shooting function associated with the perturbed problem. We present numerical tests that validate our method.  相似文献

This study presents a novel adaptive trust-region method for solving symmetric nonlinear systems of equations. The new method uses a derivative-free quasi-Newton formula in place of the exact Jacobian. The global convergence and local quadratic convergence of the new method are established without the nondegeneracy assumption of the exact Jacobian. Using the compact limited memory BFGS, we adapt a version of the new method for solving large-scale problems and develop the dogleg scheme for solving the associated trust-region subproblems. The sufficient decrease condition for the adapted dogleg scheme is established. While the efficiency of the present trust-region approach can be improved by using adaptive radius techniques, utilizing the compact limited memory BFGS adjusts this approach to handle large-scale symmetric nonlinear systems of equations. Preliminary numerical results for both medium- and large-scale problems are reported.  相似文献

We give a necessary and sufficient condition for the isomorphic projection of a k-normal variety to remain k-normal, k ≥ 2; the condition is based on a scheme ℤk naturally associated to degree k forms vanishing on the variety. We furnish many applications and examples especially in the case of varieties defined by quadratic equations. A non-vanishing theorem for the Koszul cohomology of projected varieties allows us to construct interesting examples in the last sections.
