The waveguide to coaxial cable adapter is very important to the cavity beam position monitor (CBPM) because it determines how much of the energy in the cavity could be coupled outside. In this paper, the waveguide to coaxial cable adapter of a CBPM is designed and experiments are conducted. The curve shapes of experiments and simulations are very similar and the difference in reflection is less than 0.1. This progress provides a reliable method for designing the adapter.  相似文献

The external Q (Qext) of the dipole mode is a key parameter of the Cavity Beam Position Monitor (CBPM). It determines the amplitude and length of the dipole mode signal. In this paper, Qext of a CBPM whose waveguides were open to the air was simulated and measured, and the results agreed with each other. Then four waveguide-to-coaxial cable adpaters were adjusted and assembled to the CBPM, and Qext remained unchanged. This progress provides a reliable method to evaluate Qext in the physics design without simulating the structurally complex adapters.  相似文献

为了用耦合波理论研究一些同轴结构的高频特性,推导了半径渐变同轴波导内模式耦合系数的计算公式,发现半径渐变圆波导模式耦合系数只是同轴波导模式耦合系数的特例。对同轴波导中的模式及其本征方程根的特点进行了讨论,通过建立同轴波导模式和矩形波导模式之间的对应关系,给出了同轴波导模式本征方程根的快速计算方法。对所给模式耦合系数公式进行了验证,耦合波理论计算结果与有限元方法计算结果吻合良好。  相似文献

基于模式耦合理论,在理论推导出弯曲同轴波导TEM模和同轴TE11模之间耦合系数显式表达的基础上,报道了可传输同轴TE11模的弯曲同轴波导的设计方法和计算结果,并进行了实例研究。数值仿真结果表明:设计的具有同轴结构的弯曲波导,利用不同的同轴空间,在P,L,S波段中心频率0.680,1.575和3.75 GHz处TE11模单模传输效率超过了99.5%,单模传输效率超过90%的工作带宽分别为0.60~0.83,1.10~2.42和3.10~4.16 GHz。该结构的功率容量在各频段均达到了GW量级。  相似文献

The CBPM is a kind of monitor which is used for the measurement of beam transverse position. It is becoming increasingly popular due to its high potential in resolution performance. In theory, the resolution can reach about 1 nanometer. In this paper, a rectangular CBPM is designed for it has better X-Y isolation than a cylindrical one. It has been simulated and measured, and the results agree with each other very well. The procedures and results for the simulation and the cold test will be shown later and it will be proved that this is a reliable method for the CBPM design.  相似文献

射频测量系统中经常会用到波导-同轴线转换器,主要是利用其将射频器件的波导端口转换成能够直接接入测量仪器的50 Ω同轴线。本文设计的648 MHz/WR1500波导同轴转换器主要用于CSNS升级工程(CSNS-II)超导直线射频器件的测量。利用切比雪夫脊型阶梯阻抗变换和探针耦合的方式实现波导到同轴线的转换。对脊加载波导和不连续同轴线分别进行了分析,得到最优尺寸。为了提高测量精度,设计的波导-同轴线转换器具有低插入损耗、低驻波比和宽带宽等特性。最后对生产的转换器进行了测试,测试结果与仿真结果相近,能够满足作为测量器件的使用要求。  相似文献

RF cold test of a novel C-band cavity beam position monitor (PBM) to be used in the SDUV-FEL Test Facility is described. The test results are presented and some characteristics discussed. The main parameters obtained are in reasonable agreement with the analytical estimations. Effective suppression of the common mode has been demonstrated. The position sensitivity over the test region of ±0.5 mm is about -21.58 dB/10 μm for the TM110 mode and is linear in the central region of the BPM cavity.  相似文献

设计了速调管的单间隙和双间隙圆柱同轴腔高阶TM310模式输出回路。为降低外输出腔的外观品质因数和增加腔内工作模式电磁场的均匀性,采用了在输出孔处腔内侧位置设置轴向短路金属线的措施。由等效电路理论分别计算了它们加载空矩形波导TE10基模时,腔内漂移管中心位置处的等效间隙阻抗及对应的输出带宽。计算模拟发现,与单间隙腔相比,双间隙腔具有较大的间隙阻抗及带宽。  相似文献

为了揭示设备互连电缆在连续波电磁辐照条件下的耦合响应规律,以典型射频同轴电缆为受试对象,将电缆终端连接的设备(系统)等效为负载,通过对其进行连续波电磁辐照效应试验研究,分析了受试电缆长度、终端负载状态等对同轴电缆终端负载响应规律的影响。结果表明:同轴电缆对电磁辐照响应具有选频特性,终端负载响应电压的峰值出现在电缆相对长度为1/2整数倍的频点;同轴电缆受到连续波电磁辐照后,感应皮电流通过转移阻抗转化为芯线与屏蔽层之间的差模感应电压,而这一感应电压源的内阻就是同轴电缆的特性阻抗;同轴电缆终端负载阻值的变化不会对其连续波辐照响应曲线的变化规律产生影响,终端负载与等效感应电压源内阻上的电压响应满足分压原理; 同轴电缆皮电流处于谐振状态时,两波节之间的分布感应电压同向,可等效为一个感应电压源,对同轴电缆终端负载响应起直接作用的电压源是最靠近终端负载的等效感应电压源。  相似文献

设计了工作于S波段的波导耦合型预聚束器和束流相位探测腔。为了增加功率容量,预聚束器采用波导耦合机制代替了传统的同轴耦合环耦合,而偏心圆结构的设计能够补偿因耦合窗口的引入导致的径向电场不对称,进一步改善了强流束流品质。预聚束器设计指标与测试结果:耦合系数1.73,空载品质因数2195,腔体谐振频率的可调范围为2 854.55~2 856.9 MHz。为实现测量束流相对射频脉冲的时间,进行强流输入功率补偿,选择了能够在线进行束流相位实时测量的束流相位探测腔,采用旋转对称结构,并通过两个同轴耦合环提取束流通过时激发的感应信号,作为直线相控系统的参考信号。束流相位探测腔设计与测试结果:空载品质因数2392,3 dB带宽为2.05 MHz,腔体谐振频率的可调范围为2 805.45~2 809.45 MHz。所有器件的仿真设计与测试结果基本一致。  相似文献

介绍了一种条带束流位置监测器(BPM)的设计与仿真方法。在国家同步辐射实验室“太赫兹近场高通量材料物性测试系统”工程项目中,针对波荡器出口处真空室非正交对称性的问题,设计了矩形真空室和跑道形真空室下的两种非正交对称性条带BPM,并与传统的圆形真空室下条带BPM进行对比。基于边界元法,利用MATLAB软件分别对三种真空室下的条带BPM进行建模和仿真。仿真结果表明:相对于传统的圆形真空室下条带BPM,矩形和跑道形真空室下条带BPM灵敏度提高了30%,阻抗匹配误差相对降低了20%,束流位置拟合误差降低了80%。考虑加工精度,矩形真空室下的条带BPM更适用于该工程。  相似文献

A resonant buildup of beam-induced fields in a superconducting radio frequency(RF)cavity may make a beam unstable or a superconducting RF cavity quench. Higher-order mode(HOM)couplers are used for damping higher-order modes to avoid such a resonant buildup. A coaxial HOM coupler based on the TTF (TESLA Test Facility)HOM coupler has been designed for the superconducting RF cavities at the Proton Engineering Frontier Project(PEFP)in order to overcome notch frequency shift and feed-through tip melting issues. In order to confirm the HOM coupler design and finalize its structural dimensions, two prototype HOM couplers have been fabricated and tested. Low-power testing and measurement of the HOM couplers has shown that the HOM coupler has good filter properties and can fully meet the damping requirements of the PEFP low-beta superconducting RF linac.  相似文献

A resonant buildup of beam-induced fields in a superconducting radio frequency (RF) cavity may make a beam unstable or a superconducting RF cavity quench. Higher-order mode (HOM) couplers are used for damping higher-order modes to avoid such a resonant buildup. A coaxial HOM coupler based on the TTF (TESLA Test Facility) HOM coupler has been designed for the superconducting RF cavities at the Proton Engineering Frontier Project (PEFP) in order to overcome notch frequency shift and feed-through tip melting issues. In order to confirm the HOM coupler design and finalize its structural dimensions, two prototype HOM couplers have been fabricated and tested. In this paper, the 2-D electrostatic field software, POISSON, is used to calculate the characteristic impedance of a BPM (beam position monitor) for a high current proton linac. Furthermore, the time-domain 3-D module of MAFIA with a beam microbunch at a varying offset from the axis is used to compute the induced voltage on the electrodes as a function of time. Finally, the effect of low 13 beams on the induced voltage, the sensitivity and the signal dynamic range of the BPM are discussed.  相似文献
