High spin states in 108In have been established upto ∼ 8 MeV in excitation energy and to a tentative spin of (23). The data were obtained by in-beam γ-ray spectroscopy using the reaction 93Nb(19F, p3n)108In at a beam energy of 86 MeV. Four sequences of dipole bands and a normal rotational band of E2 γ-transitions have been placed in the level scheme. Received: 16 June 1998  相似文献

Spectra of coincident charged particles from the reactions induced by a 52 MeV 7Li beam incident on a beryllium target were measured. Strong contributions of the 7Li quasi-free scattering off the α-cluster in 9Be nucleus were observed. This observation supports the conclusions from the study of complete fusion of weakly bound light nuclei at low energies that the “fragility” of the nuclei makes their fusion less probable. A semi–microscopic model for the low–energy photodisintegration of the 9Be nucleus is constructed, and the experimental data are analyzed with its help. The older radioactive isotope data are supported by this analysis. The theoretical photodisintegration cross section is derived. The astrophysical rates for the reaction α+α+n9Be+γ and the reverse photodisintegration of 9Be are calculated. The new reaction rate for α+α+n9Be+γ is compared with previous estimations. High-spin states in the odd-odd 168Lu nucleus, populated in the 154Sm(19F,5n) reaction at a beam energy of 96 MeV, were investigated using in-beam γ-ray spectroscopy techniques. The BC neutron crossing in the yrast band, based on πg 7/2[404]7/2+⊗νi 13/2[642]5/2+ configuration, occurs at ħω= 0.31 MeV. The two side bands, based on πh 11/2[514]9/2⊗νi 13/2[642]5/2+ and πh 9/2[541]1/2⊗νi 13/2[642]5/2+ configurations, show anomalous signature-splitting and signature-inversion in the first one, to occur at ħω= 0.24 MeV. A recoil distance method was used to measure half-lives of the excited states of 145Sm. The reaction used was 139La(10B, 4n)145Sm. A plunger system was used. Half-lives were determined for two excited states for the first time. The yrast 27/2+ state was found to have a half-life of 1.1 ± 0.2 ns corresponding to the retardation of 3.1 × 10−4 comparing with the single particle estimate of M1. The excitation energy of this state was well reproduced by the shell model calculation having a mixed configuration of [π{h11/2(g7/2)−2 (d5/2)−1}10−, νf7/2] + [π{h11/2(g7/2)−1}9−,νh9/2]. Another retarded E1 transition was also found in a decay of a 21/2+ state. Its retardation was 1.6 × 10−4 comparing with the single particle value. The aim of this work is to find out the origin of the anomalous resonance in 8Be seen in the reactions through excited states in 9Be. We have populated the 9Be excited states by β-decay of 9Li. Energy and direction of the two α particles has been detected and the neutron spectra reconstructed. In our work we identified the “anomalous resonance" in 8Be observed in several reaction studies as coming from the decay of the 2.43 and 2.78 MeV states in 9Be. This anomalous resonance appears when the two detected α particles are assumed to form a resonance in 8Be. We argued that the main decaying channels for these two levels in 9Be do not involve 8Be.  相似文献

High-spin states in 181Ta have been studied via the 176Yb(11B,α2n) reaction at 52 MeV using the PEX array and at 57 MeV using the NORDBALL array, with α-particle detection. The previously known, Kπ=(7/2)+ ground state band and Kπ=(9/2) band have been extended to spins (29/2)+ and (31/2), respectively. Two new one-quasiparticle bands, the Kπ=(5/2)+ band built on the known (5/2)+ isomer and a Kπ=((1/2)) band have been observed. Two other rotational bands with three-quasiparticle structure, Kπ=(15/2) and ((19/2)+ with π(7/2)[404]ν2(1/2)[510](9/2)[624] and π(9/2)[514]ν2(1/2)[510](9/2)[624] configurations, respectively, have been newly observed. The half-life of the Kπ=((19/2)+) bandhead which decays to the head of the (15/2) band has been measured to be 140(36) ns. However, transitions from the ((19/2)+) state to the (15/2) band have not been observed. Received: 26 August 1998  相似文献

The electron-capture decay of 228Pa to levels in 228Th was studied using mass-separated sources and a γ-ray detection system consisting of five Compton-suppressed Ge detectors. A total of 87 levels were observed up to an excitation energy of 2 MeV which are connected by approximately 500 γ-ray transitions. The complete octupole quadruplet, three excited K π=0+ bands and two K π=2+ bands were identified below 1.4 MeV. The observed level structure is compared to calculations within the quasiparticle-phonon nuclear model. The surprisingly good agreement indicates that 228Th has less transitional character than hitherto assumed. Received: 30 March 1998  相似文献

High spins states in 99Rh were populated via the 66Zn(37Cl, 2p2n)99Rh reaction at an incident beam energy of 130 MeV. Seventeen new transitions have been observed in the present study and the level scheme has now been extended up to a spin of J∼ 25ħ and an excitation energy of about E x∼ 10 MeV. The observation of a positive parity E2 cascade based on the 9/2+ isomeric level is suggestive of collective behaviour in this nucleus up to high spins. Spherical shell model (within restricted model space) and Cranked shell model calculations were performed to obtain an insight into the observed level structure. The new collective band observed up to a spin of J∼ 25ħ is suggested to be based on (πg 9/2 3) ⊗ (νg 7/2 2) quasi-particle excitations. 8Begs coincidences with 12C, 8Begs and α-particles produced in the 12C +12C interaction at 65 MeV have been measured in a wide in-plane angular range. The 3 −8Begs final state is found to be produced, even if poor statistics prevent any identification of the 16O states involved in the first stage of the process. The 8Begs−α and 8Begs12C coincidence yields are found to be due to 12C and 16O excited states, decaying into the 8Begs+α and 12C +α systems, respectively. Three new bands in 174Ta have been identified by using the 160Gd(19F,5n) reaction at beam energies of 87 MeV and 96 MeV. Nilsson configurations are assigned to these bands. In the 9/2[514]p+5/2[512]n band, the AB neutron crossing occurs at a rotational frequency of 0.30 MeV. The 9Be and 9B nuclei are investigated in a microscopic three-cluster model involving α + α + n (or α + α + p) configurations. The 8Be (0 + , 2 + ) + n and 5He (3/2 - , 1/2 - ) + α (or mirror) channels are included by taking account of the unstable nature of 8Be and 5He. Spectroscopic properties of 9Be and 9B are analyzed. We show that the 5He + α configurations cannot be neglected to derive accurate results. The 9Be(γ,αα)n photodisintegration cross-section is shown to be mainly determined by 8Be + n channels at low energies, but 5He + α channels become important beyond E γ≈ 4 MeV. A new high-spin isomer in 145Sm was observed by in-beam γ-ray spectroscopy with the reaction 122Sn(27Al,3np) at 127 MeV performed at the Nordball multi-detector array in Roskilde. The excitation energy of the isomer was determined to be E x= 11147 keV, and using the generalized centroid-shift method its half-life was found to be T 1/2= (7.4 ± 1.0) ns. The 107,109Rh nuclei have been produced as fission fragments following the fusion reaction 28Si +176Yb at 145 MeV bombarding energy and studied with the Eurogam2 array. In both nuclei three new rotational bands with the odd proton occupying the πg9/2, πp1/2 and π(g7/2/d5/2) sub-shells have been observed. In 107Rh, two other bands involving strong M1 transitions have been identified at excitation energy larger than 2 MeV. They can be interpreted in terms of three quasiparticle excitations. In addition new structures consisting of four transitions, built on states located at low excitation energy (680 keV in 107Rh and 642 keV in 109Rh), point out the importance of triaxial deformation in these two isotopes. A search for new isomers of nanosecond lifetimes were carried out in 153Eu via the 150Nd(7Li,xnγ) reaction. The single particle angular momentum alignment and dynamical moment of inertia estimated from the experimental data indicate a configuration change at rotational energy ħω∼ 0.30 MeV. A decrease of B(E2) values is also observed at the same frequency. An isomeric level is identified at an excitation energy of 3100 keV (Jπ=35/2) which corresponds to this frequency. Lifetimes of excited states in 110Cd have been measured by the Doppler shift attenuation method in the reaction (α,2nγ) at E α= 25 MeV. Lifetime values for 8 states and lifetime limits for 3 states were obtained. The band structures of 110Cd have been interpreted in terms of a modified version of the interacting boson model (IBM + 2 q.p.). The calculations explain well the excitation energies and electromagnetic transition probabilities up to J π= 16+, except for the 10+ 1 state. A nuclear resonance fluorescence experiment on 88Sr has been performed with bremsstrahlung of 6.7 MeV endpoint energy. The γ-ray linear polarisation has been measured with a EUROBALL CLUSTER detector used as a Compton polarimeter. The results indicate positive parity for the J= 1 state at 4.742 MeV in 88Sr, in contrast to the previous interpretation as a 1 two-phonon (2+ 1⊗ 3 1) state and in conflict with the predictions of the quasiparticle-phonon model. On the basis of such calculations the 1+ state at 3.486 MeV may be considered as the 1+ 1 one-phonon state and the very strong 1+ 1→ 0+ 1 deexcitation as proton spin-flip 2p1/2→ 2p3/2 transition. The neutron g 9/2 single-particle state in 57Ni has been unambiguously identified in a combined measurement of the linear polarization, angular distribution, and angular correlation of γ rays following the fusion-evaporation reaction 28Si(32S,2pn)57Ni at a beam energy of 90 MeV. The linear polarization was measured with a Euroball cluster detector and a prototype of an encapsulated six-fold segmented hexaconical Ge-detector.
