Two highly charged cationic copper(II) complexes have been synthesized and characterized structurally and spectroscopically: [Cu(L1)2(Br)](ClO4)5 (1) and [Cu(L2)2(Br)](ClO4)5 (2) (L1= 5,5'-di(1-(triethylammonio)methyl)-2,2'-dipyridyl cation and L2= 5,5'-di(1-(tributylammonio)methyl)-2,2'-dipyridyl cation bidentate ligands). X-Ray structures show that Cu(II) ions in both complexes have a trigonal-bipyramidal CuN4Br-configuration. Two nitrogen atoms of the electropositive pendants and coordinated bromine atom basically array in a straight line. Their close distances of N[dot dot dot]Br atoms are 5.772 and 5.594 A, respectively, which is comparable to that of adjacent phosphodiesters in B-form DNA (ca. 6 A). In the absence of reducing agent, supercoiled plasmid DNA cleavage by the complexes has been performed and their hydrolytic mechanisms have been investigated. The pseudo-Michaelis-Menten kinetic parameters (kcat), 4.15 h(-1) for 1, 0.43 h(-1) for 2 and 0.61 h(-1) for [Cu(bipy)(NO3)2], were obtained. This result indicates that 1 exhibits markedly higher nuclease activity than its corresponding analogues. The high ability of DNA cleavage for 1 is attributed to the effective cooperation of the metal moiety and two positive pendants since the array of linear tri-binding sites matches with one of three phosphodiester backbones of nucleic acid.  相似文献

Two ligands with guanidinium/ammonium groups were synthesized and their copper complexes, [Cu(L1)Cl2](ClO4)2.H2O (1) and [Cu(L2)Cl2](ClO4)2 (2) (L1 = 5,5'-di[1-(guanidyl)methyl]-2,2'-bipyridyl cation and L2 = 5,5'-di[1-(amino)methyl]-2,2'-bipyridyl cation), were prepared to serve as nuclease mimics. X-Ray analysis revealed that Cu(II) ion in 1 has a planar square CuN2Cl2-configuration. The shortest distance between the nitrogen of guanidinium and copper atoms is 6.5408(5) A, which is coincident with that of adjacent phosphodiesters in DNA (ca. 6 A). In the absence of reducing agent, supercoiled plasmid DNA cleavage by the complexes were performed and their hydrolytic mechanisms were demonstrated with radical scavengers and T4 ligase. The pseudo-Michaelis-Menten kinetic parameters (kcat, KM) were calculated to be 4.42 h(-1), 7.46 x 10(-5) M for 1, and 4.21 h(-1), 1.07 x 10(-4) M for 2, respectively. The result shows that their cleavage efficiency is about 10-fold higher than the simple analogue [Cu(bipy)Cl2] (3) (0.50 h(-1), 3.5 x 10(-4) M). The pH dependence of DNA cleavage by 1 and its hydroxide species in solution indicates that mononuclear [Cu(L1)(OH)(H2O)]3+ ion is the active species. Highly effective DNA cleavage ability of is attributed to the effective cooperation of the metal moiety and two guanidinium pendants with the phosphodiester backbone of nucleic acid.  相似文献

The reaction of Zn(ClO4)2·6H2O with 3,3'-bis(2-benzimidazolyl)-2,2'-dipyridine (L) gave a mononuclear zinc(II) complex: [ZnL2](ClO4)2·2DMF·4H2O, which was structurally characterized by EA, IR, UV, 1H NMR, fluorescence spectrum and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal (C54H54Cl2N14O14Zn, Mr = 1259.38) belongs to the monoclinic system, space group C2/c with a = 20.874(2), b = 14.9953(16), c = 20.462(3) , β = 101.553(2)°, V = 6274.8(13) 3, Z = 4, Dc = 1.333 g/cm3, F (000) = 2608, μ(MoKα) = 0.548 mm–1, R = 0.0682 and wR = 0.1931 for 4984 observed reflections with I > 2σ(I). The Zn(II) is four-coordinated in a slightly distorted tetrahedral geometry through four N atoms from four benzimidazole units of two ligands. In the crystal lattice, the [ZnL2]2+ cations are linked to each other by extensive intermolecular hydrogen bonds between nitrogen atoms of benzimidazole rings, water and DMF molecules.  相似文献

Treatment of a dinuclear zinc hydroxide complex ([(bmnpaZn)(2)(mu-OH)(2)](ClO(4))(2) (1) or [(benpaZn)(2)(mu-OH)(2)](ClO(4))(2) (2)) with excess equivalents of an aryl alcohol derivative (p-HOC(6)H(4)X; X = NO(2), CHO, CN, COCH(3), Br, H, OCH(3)) yielded the nitrogen/sulfur-ligated zinc aryloxide complexes [(bmnpa)Zn(p-OC(6)H(4)NO(2))](ClO(4)) (3), [(benpa)Zn(p-OC(6)H(4)NO(2))](ClO(4)) (4), [(benpa)Zn(p-OC(6)H(4)CHO)](ClO(4)) (5), [(benpa)Zn(p-OC(6)H(4)CN)](ClO(4)) (6), [(benpa)Zn(p-OC(6)H(4)COCH(3))](ClO(4)) x 0.5H(2)O (7), [(benpa)Zn(p-OC(6)H(4)Br)](ClO(4)) (8), [(benpa)Zn(p-OC(6)H(5))](ClO(4)) (9), and [(benpa)Zn(p-OC(6)H(5)OCH(3))](ClO(4)) (10). The solid state structures of 2, 3, 5, and 6 have been determined by X-ray crystallography. While 3 and 6 exhibit a mononuclear zinc ion possessing a distorted five-coordinate trigonal bipyramidal geometry, in 5 each zinc center exhibits a distorted six-coordinate octahedral geometry resulting from coordination of the aldehyde carbonyl oxygen of another zinc-bound aryloxide ligand, yielding a chain-type structure. Zinc coordination of the aldehyde carbonyl of 5 is indicated by a large shift (>40 cm(-)(1)) to lower energy of the carbonyl stretching vibration (nu(C[double bond]O) in solid state FTIR spectra of the complex. In the solid state structures of 3, 5, and 6, a hydrogen-bonding interaction is found between N(3)-H of the supporting bmnpa/benpa ligand and the zinc-bound oxygen atom of the aryloxide ligand (N(3)...O(1) approximately 2.78 A). Solution (1)H and (13)C NMR spectra of 3-10 in CD(3)CN and FTIR spectra in CH(3)CN are consistent with all of the aryloxide complexes having a similar solution structure, with retention of the hydrogen-bonding interaction involving N(3)-H and the oxygen atom of the zinc-coordinated aryloxide ligand. For this family of zinc aryloxide complexes, a correlation was discovered between the chemical shift position of the N(3)-H proton resonance and the pK(a) of the parent aryl alcohol. This correlation indicates that the strength of the hydrogen-bonding interaction involving the zinc-bound aryloxide oxygen is increasing as the aryloxide moiety increases in basicity.  相似文献

The reaction equilibria [H(4)L](2+) + Zn(OAc)(2) right harpoon over left harpoon [Zn(H(2)L)](2+) + 2HOAc (K(1)) and [Zn(H(2)L)](2+) + Zn(OAc)(2) right harpoon over left harpoon [Zn(2)L](2+) + 2HOAc (K(2)), involving zinc acetate and the perchlorate salts of the tetraiminodiphenol macrocycles [H(4)L(1)(-)(3)](ClO(4))(2), the lateral (CH(2))(n)() chains of which vary between n = 2 and n = 4, have been studied by spectrophotometric and spectrofluorimetric titrations in acetonitrile. The photoluminescence behavior of the complexes [Zn(2)L(1)](ClO(4))(2), [Zn(2)L(2)(H(2)O)(2)](ClO(4))(2), [Zn(2)L(2)(mu-O(2)CR)](ClO(4)) (R = CH(3), C(6)H(5), p-CH(3)C(6)H(4), p-OCH(3)C(6)H(4), p-ClC(6)H(4), p-NO(2)C(6)H(4)), and [Zn(2)L(3)(mu-OAc)](ClO(4)) have been investigated. The X-ray crystal structures of the complexes [Zn(2)L(2)(H(2)O)(2)](ClO(4))(2), [Zn(2)L(3)(mu-OAc)](ClO(4)), and [Zn(2)L(2)(mu-OBz)(OBz)(H(3)O)](ClO(4)) have been determined. The complex [Zn(2)L(2)(mu-OBz)(OBz)(H(3)O)](ClO(4)) in which the coordinated water molecule is present as the hydronium ion (H(3)O(+)) on deprotonation gives rise to the neutral dibenzoate-bridged compound [Zn(2)L(2)(mu-OBz)(2)].H(2)O. The equilibrium constants (K) for the reaction [Zn(2)L(2)(H(2)O)(2)](2+) + A(-) right harpoon over left harpoon [Zn(2)L(2)A](+) + 2H(2)O (K), where A(-) = acetate, benzoate, or the carboxylate moiety of the amino acids glycine, l-alanine, l-histidine, l-valine, and l-proline, have been determined spectrofluorimetrically in aqueous solution (pH 6-7) at room temperature. The binding constants (K) evaluated for these systems vary in the range (1-8) x 10(5).  相似文献

The work in the present investigation reports the syntheses, structures, steady state, and time-resolved photophysical properties of a tetraiminodiphenol macrocyclic ligand H(2)L and its eight dinuclear zinc(II) complexes and one cadmium(II) complex having composition [Zn(2)L(H(2)O)(2)](ClO(4))(2)·2CH(3)CN (1), [Zn(2)L(H(2)O)(2)](ClO(4))(2)·2dmf (2), [Zn(2)L(H(2)O)(2)](NO(3))(2)·2dmf (3), [Zn(2)LCl(2)] (4), [Zn(2)L(N(3))(2)] (5), [Zn(2)L(NCS)(2)] (6), [Zn(2)L(NCO)(2)] (7), [Zn(2)L(NCSe)(2)](2)·dmf (8), and [Cd(2)L(OAc)(2)] (9) with various coordinating and noncoordinating anions. The structures of all the complexes 1-9 have been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The noncovalent interactions in the complexes result in the generation of the following topologies: two-dimensional network in 1, 2, 4, 6, 7, 8, and 9; three-dimensional network in 5. Spectrophotometric and spectrofluorometric titrations of the diprotonated salt [H(4)L](ClO(4))(2) with triethylamine as well as with zinc(II) acetate and cadmium(II) acetate have been carried out, revealing fluorescence enhancement of the macrocyclic system by the base and the metal ions. Steady state fluorescence properties of [H(4)L](ClO(4))(2) and 1-9 have been studied and their quantum yields have been determined. Time resolved fluorescence behavior of [H(4)L](ClO(4))(2) and the dizinc(II) and dicadmium(II) complexes 1-9 have also been studied, and their lifetimes and radiative and nonradiative rate constants have been determined. The induced fluorescence enhancement of the macrocycle by zinc(II) and cadmium(II) is in line with the greater rate of increase of the radiative rate constants in comparison to the smaller rate of increase of nonradiative rate constants for the metal complexes. The fluorescence decay profiles of all the systems, being investigated here, that is, [H(4)L](ClO(4))(2) and 1-9, follow triexponential patterns, revealing that at least three conformers/components are responsible to exhibit the fluorescence decay behavior. The systems and studies in this report have been compared with those in the reports of the previously published similar systems, revealing some interesting aspects.  相似文献

Six new binuclear nickel (II) complexes have been synth-esized and characterized, namely: [Ni2(4X-TP-HA)(L)4](ClO4)2 [L = 1,10-phenanthroline (phen), 5-nitro-1,10-phenanthroline (NO2-phen) or 2,2-bipyridyl (bipy)], where 4X-TPHA is the tetrabromoterephthalate dianion (X = Br) or the tetraiodoterephthalate dianion (X = I). Based on i.r. spectra, elemental analyses and conductivity measurements, these complexes are proposed to have terephthalato-bridged structures containing two NiII ions, each in a distorted octahedral environment. The temperature dependences of the magnetic susceptibility for [Ni2(4Br-TPHA)(phen)4]- (ClO4)2·H2O (1) and [Ni2(4I-TPHA)(phen)4]-(ClO4)2·- 2H2O (4) were measured over the 4–300K range and the observed data indicate weak antiferromagnetic spin exchange interaction between the metal ions.  相似文献

The synthesis of the new terpyridine-containing macrocycle 2,5,8,11,14-pentaaza[15](6,6' ')cyclo(2,2':6',2' ')terpyridinophane (L) is reported. The ligand contains a pentaamine chain linking the 6,6' ' positions of a terpyridine unit. A potentiometric, (1)H NMR, UV-vis spectrophotometric and fluorescence emission study on the acid-base properties of L in aqueous solutions shows that the first four protonation steps occur on the polyamine chain, whereas the terpyridine nitrogens are involved in proton binding only at strongly acidic pH values. L can form both mono- and dinuclear Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II), and Pb(II) complexes in aqueous solution. The crystal structures of the Zn(II) and Cd(II) complexes ([ZnLH](2)(micro-OH))(ClO(4))(5) (6) and ([CdLH](2)(micro-Br))(ClO(4))(5).4H(2)O (7) show that two mononuclear [MLH](3+) units are coupled by a bridging anion (OH(-) in 6 and Br(-) in 7) and pi-stacking interactions between the terpyridine moieties. A potentiometric and spectrophotometric study shows that in the case of Cu(II) and Zn(II) the dimeric assemblies are also formed in aqueous solution containing the ligand and the metals in a 1:1 molar ratio. Protonation of the complexes or the addition of a second metal ion leads to the disruption of the dimers due to the increased electrostatic repulsions between the two monomeric units.  相似文献

The synthesis of the terpyridinophane-type polyamine 2,6,9,12,16-pentaaza[17]-(5,5' ')-cyclo-(2,2':6',2' ')-terpyridinophane heptahydrobromide tetrahydrate (L.7HBr.4H2O) is described. L presents six protonation constants with values in the range 9.21-3.27 logarithmic units. L interacts with Cu2+ and Zn2+ forming in both cases, neutral, protonated, and hydroxylated mono- and binuclear complexes whose constants have been calculated by potentiometry in 0.15 M NaClO4 at 298.1 K. The crystal structures of the compounds [Cu(HL-carb)(H2O)](ClO4)3.2H2O (1) and [Cu2(H2L)(CO3)]2(ClO4)8.9H2O (2) have been solved by X-ray diffraction. In 1, the metal center presents square pyramidal geometry. The base of the pyramid is formed by the three nitrogen atoms of pyridine and one oxygen atom of a CO2 group which is forming a carbamate bond with the central nitrogen atom of the polyamine chain. The axial position is occupied by a water molecule. In 2, one Cu2+ is bound by the three pyridine nitrogens and the other one by the three central nitrogen atoms of the polyamine chain. The square planar coordination geometry is completed by a carbonate group taken up from the atmosphere that behaves as a bridging mu,mu'-ligand between the two centers. The pH-metric titrations on the ternary Cu2+-L-carbonate and Zn2+-L-carbonate systems show the extensive formation of adduct species which above pH 6 are formed quantitatively in solution. The stoichiometries of the main species formed in solution at pH = 6.8 agree with those found in the crystalline compounds. CO2 uptake by the Zn2+ and Cu2+ 1:1 complexes in aqueous solution has also been followed by recording the variations in the band at ca. 300 nm. The formation of the Zn2+ carbamate moiety has been evidenced by 13C NMR and ESI spectroscopy.  相似文献

A supramolecular inclusion complex, [Zn(L1)(H2O)2(beta-CD)](ClO4)2.9.5 H2O (1) was synthesized and characterized structurally and its first-order active species for hydrolysis of esters, [Zn(L1)(H2O)(OH)(beta-CD)](ClO4) (2), was isolated (L1=4-(4'-tert-butylbenzyl)diethylenetriamine; beta-CD=beta-cyclodextrin). The apparent inclusion stability constant of the host and the guest measured in aqueous solution was (5.91+/-0.03)x10(3) for 1. The measured values of the first- and second-order pK(a) values of coordinated water molecules were 8.20+/-0.08 and 10.44+/-0.08, respectively, and were assigned to water molecules occupying the plane and remaining axial positions in a distorted trigonal bipyramid of the [Zn(L1)(H2O)2(beta-CD)]2+ sphere according to the structural analysis of [Zn(L2)(H2O)}2(mu-OH)](ClO4)3 (3) (L2=4-benzyldiethylenetriamine). p-Nitrophenyl acetate (pNA) hydrolysis catalyzed by 1 at pH 7.5-9.1 and 25.0+/-0.1 degrees C exhibited a first-order reaction with various concentrations of pNA and 1, but the pH profile did not indicate saturated kinetic behavior. Second-order rate constants of 0.59 and 24.0 M(-1) s(-1) were calculated for [Zn(L1)(H2O)(OH)(beta-CD)]+ and [Zn(L1)(OH)2(beta-CD)], respectively; the latter exhibited a potent catalytic activity relative to the reported mononuclear and polynuclear Zn(II) species.  相似文献

The self-assembly of Zn(II) and Cd(II) ions with a bis-bidentate ligand 3,5-bis(benzimidazol-2-yl)pyrazole (H 3L) was studied by Electrospray ionization mass spectrometry, (1)H NMR measurements, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses. Reaction of Zn(ClO 4) 2.6H 2O and Cd(ClO 4) 2.6H 2O with H 3L in DMF gave two pentanuclear complexes [(Zn 5(mu 3-O)(H 2L) 6)(ClO 4) 2.DMF.9.5H 2O ( 1) and [Cd 5(mu 3-O)(H 2L) 6](ClO 4)(OH).4.75DMF.0.25EtOH.10.5H 2O ( 2), in which the trigonal-bipyramidal core structures are bridged by mu 3-oxo and pyrazolate rings of the monodeprotonated H 2L. When Na 3PO 4.12H 2O was used in the reaction system of CdBr 2.4H 2O and H 3L, [Cd 5(mu 3-O)(H 2L) 6]Br 2.4.5DMF.6.5H 2O ( 3) and [Cd 7(mu 6-PO 4)(mu-Br) 3(H 2L) 6](HPO 4).DMF.10H 2O ( 4) were isolated. 3 displays the same core structure as that of 2, whereas 4 exhibits a turbinate, heptanuclear core which is bridged by a mu 6-PO 4, three mu-Br, and three pyrazolate rings. All of the pentanuclear and heptanuclear cores are surrounded by three pairs of bis-bidentate H 2L (-) ligands with offset pi-pi stacking, showing propeller-like molecular structures and triple-stand helicates. Electrospray ionization mass spectrometry studies and (1)H NMR measurements demonstrate that the pentanuclear complexes have different stability in the solution, depending on the metal ions and the counteranions. Furthermore, both 1 and 2 emit blue fluorescence with nanosecond luminescent lifetimes in DMF at room temperature.  相似文献

Two series of zinc triad complexes containing the ligand 2,6-bis(methylthiomethyl)pyridine (L1) were synthesized and characterized by X-ray crystallography and solution-state 1H NMR spectroscopy. The distorted meridional octahedral M(L1)2(ClO4)2 series includes the first structurally characterized Zn(II) and Cd(II) complexes with N2(SR2)4 coordination spheres. Coordination of HgCl2 and ZnCl2 with 1 equiv of ligand afforded mononuclear, five-coordinate species Hg(L1)Cl2 and Zn(L1)Cl2, respectively, with distorted square-pyramidal and trigonal-bipyramidal geometries. With CdCl2, the dimeric [Cd(L1)Cl(mu-Cl)]2 complex was obtained. The distorted octahedral coordination geometry of each Cd(II) center in this complex is formed by one tridentate ligand, two bridging chloride ions, and one terminal chloride ion. NMR spectra indicate that the intermolecular ligand-exchange rate of [M(L1)2](2+) decreased in the order Cd(II) > Zn(II) > Hg(II). Slow intermolecular ligand-exchange conditions on the chemical-shift time scale were found for 1:2 metal-to-ligand complexes of L(1) with Hg(II) and Zn(II) but not Cd(II). Slow intermolecular ligand-exchange conditions in acetonitrile-d(3) solutions permitting detection of (3-5)J(199Hg1H) were found for 1:1 and 1:2 Hg(ClO4)2/L1 complexes, but not for the related Cd(ClO4)2) complexes. The magnitudes of J(199Hg1H) for equivalent protons were smaller in [Hg(L1)2](2+) than in [Hg(L1)(NCCH3)x](2+). The relative intermolecular ligand-exchange rates of the zinc triad complexes investigated here suggest that the toxicity of Hg(II) is accentuated by the relative difficulty of displacing it from the coordination sites encountered.  相似文献

The NO2S2-donor macrocycle (L1) was synthesised from the ring closure reaction between Boc-N-protected 2,2'-iminobis(ethanethiol) (3) and 2,2'-(ethylenedioxy)bis(benzyl chloride) (4) followed by deprotection of the Boc-group. alpha,alpha'-Dibromo-p-xylene was employed as a dialkylating agent to bridge two L1 to yield the corresponding N-linked product (L2). The X-ray structure of L2 (as its HBr salt) is described. A range of Cd(II) and Hg(II) complexes of L1 (6-9) and L2 (10-12) were prepared and characterised. Reaction of HgX2 (X = Br or I) with L1 afforded [Hg(L1)Br]2[Hg2Br6].2CH2Cl2 6 and [Hg(L1)I(2)] 7, respectively. For 6, the Hg(II) ion in the complex cation has a distorted tetrahedral coordination environment composed of S2N donor atoms from L1 and a bromo ligand. In 7 the coordination geometry is highly distorted tetrahedral, with the macrocycle coordinating in an exodentate manner via one S and one N atom. The remaining two coordination sites are occupied by iodide ions. [Hg(L1)(ClO4)]ClO4 8 was isolated from the reaction of Hg(ClO4)2 and L1. The X-ray structure reveals that all macrocyclic ring donors bind to the central mercury ion in this case, with the latter exhibiting a highly distorted octahedral coordination geometry. The O2S2-donors from the macrocyclic ring define the equatorial plane while the axial positions are occupied by the ring nitrogen as well as by an oxygen from a monodentate perchlorato ion. Reaction of Cd(NO3)(2).4H2O with L1 afforded [Cd(L1)(NO3)2](.)0.5CH2Cl2 9 in which L1 acts as a tridentate ligand, binding exo-fashion via its S2N donors. The remaining coordination positions are filled by two bidentate nitrate ions such that, overall, the cadmium is seven-coordinate. Reactions of HgX2(X = Br or I) with L2 yielded the isostructural 2 : 1 (metal : ligand) complexes, [Hg2(L2)Br4] 10 and [Hg2(L2)I(4)] 11. Each mercury ion has a distorted tetrahedral environment made up of S and N donors from an exodentate L2 and two coordinated halides. Contrasting with this, the reaction of L2 with Cd(NO3)(2).4H2O yielded a 1-D coordination network, {[Cd2(L2)(NO3)4].2CH2Cl2}n 12 in which each ring of L2 is exo-coordinated via two S atoms and one N atom to a cadmium ion which is also bound to one monodentate and one bidentate nitrate anion. The latter also has one of its oxygen atom attached to a neighboring cadmium via a nitroso (mu2-O) bridge such that the overall coordination geometry about each cadmium is seven-coordinate. The [Cd(L2)0.5(NO3)2] units are linked by an inversion to yield the polymeric arrangement.  相似文献

New homo trinuclear Zn(II) complexes [Zn(3)L(1)(micro-OAc)](ClO(4))(2).3CHCl(3).H(2)O, 1, and [Zn(3)L(1)(micro-OAc)].ClO(4).PF(6).5CH(3)OH.H(2)O, 2, and hetero trinuclear complex [Zn(2)CuL(1)(micro-OAc)](ClO(4))(2).3CHCl(3).H(2)O,3, of optically active hexaaza triphenolic macrocycle H(3)L(1) were synthesized and crystallographically characterized. The cation [Zn(3)L(1)(micro-OAc)](+) structure of 1 and 2 closely resembles the trinuclear Zn(II) active site of P1 nuclease. The distorted tetrahedral geometry of Zn3 was successfully reproduced at Cu1 in complex 3. The complexes 2 and 3 cleave CT DNA at 37 and 50 degrees C.  相似文献

The protonated form [H(2)(L)](CF(3)SO(3))(2) (1) of a new redox-active bis-bidentate nitrogenous heterocyclic ligand, viz., 3,3'-dipyridin-2-yl[1,1']bi[imidazo[1,5-a]pyridinyl] (L), and its zinc(II) and cadmium(II) complexes (2 and 3) have been synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. In the solid state, both 2 and 3 have triple-stranded helical structures involving ligands that experience twisting and bending to the extent needed by the stereoelectronic demand of the central metal ion. The metal centers in the zinc(II) complex [Zn(2)(L)(3)](ClO(4))(4) (2) are equivalent, each having a distorted octahedral geometry, flattened along the C(3) axis with a Zn1···Zn1# separation of 4.8655(13) ?. The cadmium complex [Cd(2)(L)(3)(H(2)O)](ClO(4))(4) (3), on the other hand, has a rare type of helical structure, showing coordination asymmetry around the metal centers with a drastically reduced Cd1···Cd2 separation of 4.070 ?. The coordination environment around Cd1 is a distorted pentagonal bipyramid involving a N(6)O donor set with the oxygen atom coming from a coordinated water, leaving the remaining metal center Cd2 with a distorted octahedral geometry. The structures of 2 and 3 also involve anion-π- and CH-π-type noncovalent interactions that play dominant roles in shaping the extended structures of these molecules in the solid state. In solution, these compounds exhibit strong fluxional behavior, making the individual ligand strands indistinguishable from one another, as revealed from their (1)H NMR spectra, which also provide indications about these molecules retaining their helical structures in solution. Electrochemically, these compounds are quite interesting, undergoing ligand-based oxidations in two successive one-electron steps at E(1/2) of ca. 0.65 and 0.90 V versus a Ag/AgCl (3 M NaCl) reference. These molecules are all efficient emitters in the red and blue regions because of ligand-based π*-π fluorescent emissions, tuned appropriately by the attached Lewis acid centers.  相似文献

The synthesis of a new oxaaza macrocyclic ligand, L, derived from O(1),O(7)-bis(2-formylphenyl)-1,4,7-trioxaheptane and tren containing an amine terminal pendant arm, and its metal complexation with alkaline earth (M = Ca(2+), Sr(2+), Ba(2+)), transition (M = Co(2+), Ni(2+), Cu(2+), Zn(2+), Cd(2+)), post-transition (M = Pb(2+)), and Y(3+) and lanthanide (M = La(3+), Er(3+)) metal ions are reported. Crystal structures of [H(2)L](ClO(4))(2).3H(2)O, [PbL](ClO(4))(2), and [ZnLCl](ClO(4)).H(2)O are also reported. In the [PbL] complex, the metal ion is located inside the macrocyclic cavity coordinated by all N(4)O(3) donor atoms while, in the [ZnLCl] complex, the metal ion is encapsulated only by the nitrogen atoms present in the ligand. pi-pi interactions in the [H(2)L](ClO(4))(2).3H(2)O and [PbL](ClO(4))(2) structures are observed. Protonation and Zn(2+), Cd(2+), and Cu(2+) complexation were studied by means of potentiometric, UV-vis, and fluorescent emission measurements. The 10-fold fluorescence emission increase observed in the pH range 7-9 in the presence of Zn(2+) leads to L as a good sensor for this biological metal in water solution.  相似文献

Reaction of 1,2-bis[1,4,7-triazacyclonon-1-yl]propan-2-ol hexabromide (T(2)PrOH.6HBr) with Ni(ClO(4))(2)[middle dot]6H(2)O and adjustment of the pH to 7 resulted in the crystallization of pink and blue products from the one reaction mixture. The analytical data and X-ray structure determinations establish compositions corresponding to [Ni(T(2)PrOH)]Br(ClO(4))xH(2)O (pink crystals) and [Ni(2)(T(2)PrO)(OH(2))(3)Br]Br(ClO(4))x2H(2)O (blue crystals). A repeat synthesis of the latter yielded the diperchlorate monohydrate [Ni(2)(T(2)PrO)(OH(2))(3)Br](ClO(4))(2)xH(2)O. In the mononuclear complex, the 2-propanol group connecting the two 1,4,7-trizacyclononane (tacn) rings is protonated, the six nitrogen donors from the T(2)PrOH ligand coordinating to a single Ni(II) centre in a distorted octahedral geometry. In the binuclear complexes and, three coordination sites on each distorted octahedral Ni(II) centre are occupied fac by three nitrogen donors from the one tacn ring, the two metal centres being linked by an endogenous alkoxo bridge. A notable common feature of the two identical cations is that for one Ni(II) centre the remaining two sites are occupied by two water ligands, while in the other a bromo ligand replaces one ligated water. Similar binuclear systems have been recently defined [Zn(2)(T(2)PrO)X(H(2)O)(2)](ClO(4))(2)(X = Cl, Br), two complexes that exhibit coordination asymmetry with one pseudo-octahedral and one pseudo-square pyramidal Zn(ii) centre. The weak antiferromagnetic coupling in and is discussed and compared to di-phenoxo-bridged Ni(II) examples.  相似文献
