The magnetic properties and magneto-optical effects in nanocomposites based on Co-Sm-O films prepared through pulsed plasma sputtering of a SmCo5 target are investigated. It is shown that, depending on the technological conditions and regimes of subsequent annealing, the films can have different structures from cobalt nanoparticles distributed in the dielectric samarium oxide matrix with a magnetic phase volume of more than 60% to a continuous polycrystalline cobalt film with embedded samarium oxide nanoparticles. The evolution of the spectra of the magneto-optical Kerr effect and the field dependences of the magnetization is studied as a function of the film structure.  相似文献

Ultrafine fullerene (C60)/poly(N-vinylcarbazole) (PVK) composite fibers with 1 μm diameter were prepared by electrospinning C60/PVK blend solutions in solvent mixtures of N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF)/toluene. The UV absorption spectra of nanofibers have a similar behavior as observed in the thin films for the same doping condition. It is interesting to observe that the PVK nanofibers have a very strong blue-violet luminescence, while ‘bright spots’ due to C60 can be observed on the C60/PVK fibers under UV irradiation in a fluorescence optical microscope. Compared to the emission spectra of PVK thin films, the photoluminescence of the PVK nanofibers shows a new emission peak at 437 nm. Efficient energy transfer was observed in C60/PVK thin films, as well as in blend nanofibers.  相似文献

In this study, we investigated the microstructure, phase evolution and magnetic properties of nanogranular films of Sm-Co compounds processed by the sol-gel method. By controlling the compositional ratio of Sm:Co precursor concentration, nanogranular films consisting of three distinct hard magnetic phases namely, Sm2Co7, SmCo5 and Sm2Co17 with coercivity values of 1.78, 2.94 and 2.12 kOe, respectively, were obtained through this technique.  相似文献

The effect of annealing on the structure and physical properties of Co-Sm-O alloy films prepared using pulsed plasma deposition is investigated. It is found that Co-Sm-O films in the initial state possess superparamagnetic properties due to the presence of small-sized magnetic nanoparticles surrounded by dielectric layers of samarium oxide in the film structure. Upon annealing, the Co-Sm-O films undergo structural transformations and exhibit a number of magnetic properties (including those inherent in both soft and hard magnetic materials).  相似文献

The electrical properties and magnetoresistance of (Co41Fe39B20) x (CaF2)100 ? x composite are investigated. The principal mechanisms of electric charge transfer at low temperatures are determined. Studies of the structural and magneto-optical properties of nanogranular Co-Ti-O films prepared under conditions of the solid-state reaction with oxygen exchange in the CoO/Ti layered structures are presented. The formation of granular films with compositions near or below the percolation threshold is shown. The specific features of the magneto-optical spectra of the prepared films as compared to the spectra of continuous metallic films are revealed.  相似文献

Polyamide 6 (PA6) nanofibers were prepared from formic acid solutions by using electrospinning technique. The fibers were smooth, defects free and with diameters smaller than 200 nm. Small amounts of a perfluorinated acridine were added as dopant to the feed solution to modify the wettability of the fibers. The effect of doping on the contact angle values is well apparent. The contact angle values go from 50° of pure PA6 to 120° when 6% of acridine is added. A comparison between fibers and films of pure and doped polyamide 6 was carried out in order to determine the effect of morphology on wettability. Thermal annealing near the Tg of the polymer promoted the segregation of the molecules to the surface, reaching contact angles of 131° with smaller amounts (4%) of acridine. The surface segregation was also promoted by time aging.  相似文献

Poly (vinyl alcohol) (PVA) and poly (vinyl pyrrolidone) (PVP) nanofibers embedding Ag nanoparticles (5–18 nm) have been prepared successfully by electrospinning at room temperature. Scanning electron microscope (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), Fourier transform IR spectra (FTIR), and Raman scattering were used to characterize the structure and properties of Ag nanoparticle-embedded PVA and PVP nanofibers before and after heat treatment at different temperature. The antibacterial activity of Ag nanoparticle-embedded PVP nanofibers after heat treatment was also tested, which indicated that the biological activity of yeast cells was effectively inhibited by these Ag nanoparticle-embedded PVP nanofibers.  相似文献

A novel polymeric, polyacrylonitrile (PAN) nanofibers containing ferroelectric and semiconducting antimony sulfoiodide (SbSI) have been made by electrospinning. SbSI nanowires, used as the filler, have been prepared sonochemically from antimony sulphide (Sb2S3) and antimony tri-iodide (SbI3) for the first time. Nanocrystalline SbSI has been fabricated in ethanol under ultrasonic irradiation (20 kHz, 565 W/cm2) at 323 K within 2 h. The products have been characterized by using techniques such as powder X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive X-ray analysis, high-resolution transmission electron microscopy, selected area electron diffraction and optical diffuse reflection as well as transmission spectroscopy. The good quality of the nanocrystals and their dispersion in the nanofiber’s volume is important because this material is attractive for nanogenerators due to its ferroelectric and piezoelectric properties. The amplitude of the voltage pulse, generated under shock pressure of 3.0 MPa, has reached 180 V in the prototype PAN/SbSI piezoelectric nanogenerator. The peak output voltage of about 0.2 V was measured in bending/releasing conditions with the deformation frequency of 1 Hz.  相似文献

Mixed Li-Ni oxides, LixNi1-xO, are prepared by solid state reaction in the range 0.2≤x≤0.46 by annealing around 1000 K for various times. As reported in literature, above x=0.31 an ordered solid solution (OSS) is formed in which planes of pure Ni alternate with Li-Ni planes, whereas below x=0.2 only a fully disordered solid state solution (SSS) exists. We analyze the intermediate composition region 0.22≤x≤0.31 by fitting the X-ray patterns with a two-phases model using the Rietveld method: a SSS phase and an OSS phase where partial occupancy of the Ni-planes by lithium is allowed. The two phases coexist in the intermediate region, and no lithium is allowed in the Ni planes of the OSS phase; furthermore, the lithium contents of the OSS and SSS phases are approximately x ∼ 0.4 and x ∼ 0.2, respectively, and loss of lithium is associated with transformation of the OSS phase into SSS.7Li NMR data find evidence of a common magnetic behaviour of the samples containing the OSS phase which agrees with the X-ray findings. The geometrical structures, electronic and magnetic properties of Con − xPtx (n=2–13,38,55n=213,38,55) alloy clusters have been systematically investigated by using the density functional theory within the generalized gradient approximation (DFT–GGA). It is found that CoPt alloy clusters adopt the structures of corresponding monatomic Co clusters, where Pt atoms localize at the surface sites and tend to bond together forming a Pt exterior shell. The ferromagnetic coupling between atoms is determined in CoPt clusters, and the Co local magnetic moments can be enhanced by the increase of Pt concentration.  相似文献

Structural and magnetic properties of FeB microfibers, obtained by electroless deposition on cellulose fibers, were investigated. X-ray diffraction (XRD) showed the presence of an amorphous phase. Extended X-ray absorption fine structure spectroscopy (EXAFS) studies confirmed an amorphous-like structure with the nearest coordination numbers around Fe atom to be 8.7 for Fe and 3.5 for B. In this paper, heat-treated CoCr ribbons with 20 and 27 at% Cr have been studied with the aim of understanding the segregation phenomenon which first emerged from sputtered CoCr films for perpendicular recording. Higher magnetization of a ribbon heated at 530 to 730°C has been found in comparison with the homogeneous CoCr composition. It favours the opinion that the segregation in a CoCr system is of energy equilibrium at certain temperatures. Based on our results, a re-interpretation of the CoCr phase diagram and a discussion on its relation to sputtered films with segregation are presented.  相似文献

The stability of the pseudobinary phases obtained by partial substitution of Ni with Cu, Ag or Au in the cubic Laves phase CeNi2, or by partial substitution of Cu with Ni in the orthorhombic compound CeCu2 has been investigated. No solid solubility of Cu, Ag and Au in the CeNi2 cubic lattice could be detected. In contrast, pseudobinary orthorhombic phases, corresponding to the formula CeCus2?xNix, exist over the range x = 0 to 1. For these phases, crystal structures and magnetic properties have been determined. In every case, the electronic configuration of cerium appears to be unaffected to the Ni content, and corresponds to the trivalent state. The Ni atoms are in a non-magnetic state. The magnetic susceptibility of CeCu2 in the region from 530 to 900 K shows anomalous behaviour, which should be due to a metamagnetic transition.  相似文献

Electrospun \(\hbox {TiO}_2\) and Ce-doped \(\hbox {TiO}_2\) nanofibers were prepared with 0.5, 2.0 and 8.0 % weight Ce. The structural properties and phase composition were characterized using high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM), X-ray diffraction and X-ray absorption near edge spectroscopy (XANES) at the Ti K-edge. The undoped nanofibers are composed of an assembly of \(\hbox {TiO}_2\) nanoparticles and their crystal structure is a mixture of anatase and rutile phases with an anatase:rutile volume ratio close to 3:1. As Ce is introduced, the nanoparticles decrease in size and the rutile phase volume decreases. Ce \(\hbox {L}_3\) -edge XANES probed the local structure of Ce dopants. At 0.5 % Ce, most Ce ions are incorporated in the \(\hbox {Ce}^{3+}\) charge state but, at 2 % Ce, the majority are \(\hbox {Ce}^{4+}\) . Visible light absorption indicated that \(\hbox {Ce}^{3+}\) act as shallow acceptors that only participate in absorption of wavelengths below 420 nm but \(\hbox {Ce}^{4+}\) impurity states are associated with absorption of wavelengths up to 550 nm. Photocatalytic performance of the nanofibers was assessed by measuring the degradation of adsorbed Rhodamine B in aqueous solution under visible and ultraviolet light. The 0.5 % Ce-doped \(\hbox {TiO}_2\) nanofiber showed the best visible-light photocatalytic activity, which is probably due to the majority presence of \(\hbox {Ce}^{3+}\) . At higher Ce concentration, the photocatalytic reaction rate was lower than undoped nanofibers, indicating that recombination at the \(\hbox {Ce}^{4+}\) sites is rate limiting.  相似文献

Magnetization-induced third harmonic (TH) generation was observed in magnetic nanostructures—nanogranular CoxAg1? x films—possessing giant magnetoresistance (GMR). The magnetization-induced contribution to the TH intensity was studied as a function of the concentration of a magnetic component (cobalt) in the films. Magnetic contrast of the TH intensity was found to correlate with the GMR coefficient: both parameters simultaneously reach extremum in the range of cobalt concentrations x~0.3–0.35.  相似文献
