In this paper, the quantum stochastic differential equation (QSDE) is derived which is based on explanatory for interaction of open quantum system with squeezed quantum noise. This equation describes the stochastic evolution of unitary operator and is used to compute the evolution of quantum observable and output field. Our QSDE has complete form with respect to previous QSDE for squeezed light, because it bears three fundamental quantum noises for its evolution and the scattering between quantum channels is included. Meanwhile, when squeezed noise reduces to vacuum noise, our QSDE reveals the famous Hudson-Parthasarathy QSDE. Our equations may have application for quantum network analysis of squeezed noise interferometer for gravitational wave detection.  相似文献

Bifurcations can cause dynamical systems with slowly varying parameters to transition to far-away attractors. The terms “critical transition” or “tipping point” have been used to describe this situation. Critical transitions have been observed in an astonishingly diverse set of applications from ecosystems and climate change to medicine and finance. The main goal of this paper is to give an overview which standard mathematical theories can be applied to critical transitions. We shall focus on early-warning signs that have been suggested to predict critical transitions and point out what mathematical theory can provide in this context. Starting from classical bifurcation theory and incorporating multiple time scale dynamics one can give a detailed analysis of local bifurcations that induce critical transitions. We suggest that the mathematical theory of fast-slow systems provides a natural definition of critical transitions. Since noise often plays a crucial role near critical transitions the next step is to consider stochastic fast-slow systems. The interplay between sample path techniques, partial differential equations and random dynamical systems is highlighted. Each viewpoint provides potential early-warning signs for critical transitions. Since increasing variance has been suggested as an early-warning sign we examine it in the context of normal forms analytically, numerically and geometrically; we also consider autocorrelation numerically. Hence we demonstrate the applicability of early-warning signs for generic models. We end with suggestions for future directions of the theory.  相似文献

We consider a stochastic differential equation with a quadratic nonlinearity in the noise. We derive equations for the steady state probability density and joint probability distribution valid beyond a markovian approximation. We do not assume that the strength of the random term is small. The equations are derived for the case of an Ornstein-Uhlenbeck noise and also for a dichotomic noise. A comparison is made. We discuss some examples for which correlation functions and the associated relaxation times are calculated.  相似文献

A method is presented for constructing a stochastic return map from a stochastic differential equation containing a locally stable limit cycle and small-amplitude [O()] additive Gaussian colored noise. The construction is valid provided the correlation time isO() orO(1). The effective noise in the return map has nonzeroO( 2) mean and is state dependent. The method is applied to a model dynamical system, illustrating how the effective noise in the return map depends on both the original noise process and the local deterministic dynamics.  相似文献

The critical behaviour of uniaxial ferromagnets is studied by an anisotropic renormalization transformation. For dimensionalityd smaller than the critical dimensionalityd c (d u ), which depends on the dimensionality of the uniaxial directiond u , the critical exponents are computed by the-expansion. The critical dynamics is based on a timedependent Ginzburg Landau model, for a non-conserved and for a conserved order parameter. We continue our investigation of stochastic lattice gases as a (highly parallel) means of simulating given PDEs, in this case Burgers' equation in one dimension. The lattice dynamics consists of stochastic unidirectional particle displacement, and our attention is turned toward the reliability of the model, i.e., its ability to reproduce the unique physical solution of Burgers' equation. Lattice gas results are discussed and compared against finite-difference calculations and exact solutions in examples which include shocks and rarefaction waves.  相似文献

We investigate the interface dynamics of the two-dimensional stochastic Ising model in an external field under helicoidal boundary conditions. At sufficiently low temperatures and fields, the dynamics of the interface is described by an exactly solvable high-spin asymmetric quantum Hamiltonian that is the infinitesimal generator of the zero range process. Generally, the critical dynamics of the interface fluctuations is in the Kardar–Parisi–Zhang universality class of critical behavior. We remark that a whole family of RSOS interface models similar to the Ising interface model investigated here can be described by exactly solvable restricted high-spin quantum XXZXXZ-type Hamiltonians.  相似文献

Specific ionic effects (as ranked in lyotropic series) for surface-confined ions are studied using information from electric double layers, colloid stability, electrokinetics and molecular dynamics. Solid-aqueous solution interfaces are emphasized. A combination of all of this disparate information produces a systematic insight. Sequences can be inverted by modification of the nature of the surface. Dynamic and static sequences are not necessarily identical. The main origin of ionic specificity is the difference in configurational entropy change of the water upon binding of the ion to surface sites.  相似文献

We investigate functions that are exact solutions to chaotic dynamical systems. A generalization of these functions can produce truly random numbers. For the first time, we present solutions to random maps. This allows us to check, analytically, some recent results about the complexity of random dynamical systems. We confirm the result that a negative Lyapunov exponent does not imply predictability in random systems. We test the effectiveness of forecasting methods in distinguishing between chaotic and random time series. Using the explicit random functions, we can give explicit analytical formulas for the output signal in some systems with stochastic resonance. We study the influence of chaos on the stochastic resonance. We show, theoretically, the existence of a new type of solitonic stochastic resonance, where the shape of the kink is crucial. Using our models we can predict specific patterns in the output signal of stochastic resonance systems. (c) 2001 American Institute of Physics.  相似文献

In this paper a new approach to metastability for stochastic dynamics is proposed. The basic idea is to study the statistics of each path, performing time averages along the evolution. Metastability would be characterized by the fact that the process of these time averages converges, under a suitable rescaling, to a measure valued Markov jump process. Summary Following a procedure which is typical of linear (neutron) transport theory, a multigroup approach is proposed for the non-linear extended Boltzmann equation in the presence of removal, a background medium, an external source and an external force field. The relevant multigroup equations, corresponding to a discretization of the speed variable only, are derived and discussed, especially in connection with the so-called semi-discrete models recently introduced in kinetic theory.  相似文献

We investigate time-dependent solutions for a non-linear Schrödinger equation recently proposed by Nassar and Miret-Artés (NM) to describe the continuous measurement of the position of a quantum particle (Nassar, 2013; Nassar and Miret-Artés, 2013). Here we extend these previous studies in two different directions. On the one hand, we incorporate a potential energy term in the NM equation and explore the corresponding wave packet dynamics, while in the previous works the analysis was restricted to the free-particle case. On the other hand, we investigate time-dependent solutions while previous studies focused on a stationary one. We obtain exact wave packet solutions for linear and quadratic potentials, and approximate solutions for the Morse potential. The free-particle case is also revisited from a time-dependent point of view. Our analysis of time-dependent solutions allows us to determine the stability properties of the stationary solution considered in Nassar (2013), Nassar and Miret-Artés (2013). On the basis of these results we reconsider the Bohmian approach to the NM equation, taking into account the fact that the evolution equation for the probability density ρ=|ψ|2ρ=|ψ|2 is not a continuity equation. We show that the effect of the source term appearing in the evolution equation for ρρ has to be explicitly taken into account when interpreting the NM equation from a Bohmian point of view.  相似文献
