The problem of the regular oblique interaction of a plane-polarized Alfvén discontinuity and a fast magnetohydrodynamic shock wave propagating in opposite directions is solved numerically within the framework of the ideal magnetohydrodynamic model over a wide range of the key parameters. The wave pattern of the developing flow is found and the properties of the flow are studied. In particular, the dependence of the wave composition forming the flow is mapped as a function of the key parameters. With the variation of the problem parameters the developing flow is qualitatively reconstructed, possibly suddenly (jumpwise). This leads to a complex nonmonotonic dependence of the physical characteristics of the flow.  相似文献

Interaction of a supersonic streamwise vortex with an oblique shock wave is considered. A mathematical model of the streamwise vortex is constructed. Three interaction regimes (weak, moderate, and strong) are found. It is shown numerically that vortex breakdown is possible in the case of strong interaction. The influence of the governing parameters on the interaction type is studied. It is shown that the main effect on the interaction type is exerted by the streamwise velocity and angle of the wedge forming the shock wave. The effect of splitting of the primary vortex on the shock wave in the case of moderate and strong interaction regimes is found.  相似文献

Experimental studies were performed of the interaction of a plane shock wave with a spherical gas–liquid cluster (polyurethane foam ball saturated with a bubbly liquid) in a vertical shock tunnel filled with a liquid. The damping property of materials can be defined as the ratio of dissipated energy over the total strain energy during the loading–unloading process, called the specific damping capacity (SDC). In this study, in order to characterize the damping properties of materials, a test plan in designed to extract the SDC of a single layer composite from hysteresis data. The theory of linear viscoelasticity incorporates a varying Young’s Modulus by using a complex stiffness modulus. Considering different lay-ups, the modified classical lamination plate theory is modified to represent both stiffness and SDC of laminates. The results are compared with experimental results for symmetric laminated specimen. This evaluation shows a very good agreement between theoretical and experimental results in the range of low frequency loading from 0.2 to 4 Hz. The complex compliance matrix changes the governing equation in to a complex form which contains both stiffness and damping properties.  相似文献

Results of numerical simulation of interaction between an oblique shock wave and a turbulent boundary layer formed in a supersonic (Mach number M =5) flow past a flat plate are presented. The computations are performed for three cases of interaction of different intensity, which result in an attached or detached flow. Numerical results are compared with experimental data. The effect of flow turbulence and shockwave unsteadiness on flow parameters is studied.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the localized rotating spots created by the spatially inhomogeneous feedback. We adopt the wave front interaction model proposed by Zykov and Showalter in 2005. The problem of determining the mechanical and thermal action on a cylinder in a supersonic flow with account for the interference between an incident shock and the detached bow shock has been studied extensively, both experimentally and theoretically, in the last few decades [1–12]. A fairly complete survey can be found in monograph [12]. The interest in the problem is mainly due to the fact that in this case the so-called fourth type of shock interaction can occur, leading to a sharp local increase in the mechanical and thermal loads. As for the problem of the interference flow past a cylinder itself, it can serve as a model problem for testing techniques of calculating the separation flow past the controls of hypersonic flight vehicles.In this paper, we attempt to demonstrate the possibility of using a fairly simple approach to the calculation of the above-mentioned flows, including those with a separation zone. The approach is based on a combination of numerical simulation within the framework of the inviscid gas model and subsequent calculation of the heat transfer parameters and does not require an excessive amount of computing power.  相似文献

Numerical simulations of a very small amplitude acoustic wave interacting with a shock wave in a quasi-ID convergent-divergent nozzle is performed using an unstructured finite volume algorithm with piece-wise linear, least square reconstruction, Roe flux difference splitting, and second-order MacCormack time marching. First, the spatial accuracy of the algorithm is evaluated for steady flows with and without the normal shock by running the simulation with a sequence of successively finer meshes. Then the accuracy of the Roe flux difference splitting near the sonic transition point is examined for different reconstruction schemes. Finally, the unsteady numerical solutions with the acoustic perturbation are presented and compared with linear theory results.  相似文献

The present analysis deals with a two-dimensional MHD flow of the Carreau fluid over a stretching sheet with a variable thickness. The governing partial differential equations are converted into an ordinary differential equation by using the similarity approach. The solution of the differential equation is calculated by using the Keller box method. The solution is studied for different values of the Hartmann number, Weissenberg number, wall thickness parameter, and power-law index. The skin friction coefficient is calculated.
