In this paper, an exciton trapped by a Gaussian confining potential quantum
dot has been investigated. Calculations are made by using the method of
numerical diagonalization of Hamiltonian in the effective-mass
approximation. The dependences of binding energies of the ground state and
the first excited state on the size of the confining potential and the

Based on coupled quantum dots,we present an interesting optical effect in a four-level loop coupled system.Both the two upper levels and the two lower levels are designed to be almost degenerate,which induces a considerable dipole moment.The terahertz wave is obtained from the low-frequency component of the photon emission spectrum.The frequency of the terahertz wave can be controlled by tuning the energy levels via designing the nanostructure appropriately or tuning the driving laser field.A terahertz wave with adjustable frequency and considerable intensity(100 times higher than that of the Rayleigh line) can be obtained.It provides an effective scheme for a terahertz source. 相似文献

We study the effect of structure asymmetry on the energy spectrum and the far-infrared spectrum (FIR) of a lateral coupled quantum dot. The calculated spectrum shows that the parity break of coupled quantum dot results in more coherent superpositions in the low-lying states and exhibits unique anti-crossing in the two-electron FIR spectrum modulated by a magnetic field. We also find that the Coulomb correlation effect can make the FIR spectrum of coupled quantum dot without strict parity deviate greatly from Kohn theorem, which is just contrary to the symmetric case. Our results therefore suggest that FIR spectrum may be used to determine the symmetry of coupled quantum dot and to evaluate the degree of Coulomb interaction. 相似文献

Decoherence-free spin entanglement generation and purification in nanowire double quantum dots 下载免费PDF全文
We propose a deterministic generation and purification of decoherence-free spin entangled states with singlet-triplet spins in nanowire double quantum dots via resonator-assisted charge manipulation and measurement techniques. Each spin qubit corresponds to two electrons in a double quantum dot in the nanowire, with the singlet and one of the triplets as the decoherence-free qubit states. The logical qubits are immunized against the dominant source of decoherence-dephasing—while the influences of additional errors are shown by numerical simulations. We analyse the performance and stability of all required operations and emphasize that all techniques are feasible in current experimental conditions. 相似文献

近年来,半导体量子阱中激子的玻色一爱因斯坦凝聚研究取得了很大进展.实验上利用耦合量子阱间接激子中电子和空穴在空间上的分离,显著提高了激子的冷却速度和寿命,成功地把激子冷却到1K以下,观察到了激子的准凝聚状态,并且在强激光照射下,发现了随光照强度增强而增大的激子发光环和环上形成的有规则斑点图案,引起了广泛的兴趣和重视.理论研究表明,发光环的出现是电子和空穴在量子阱中的反常输运行为造成的,但环上形成规则斑点的物理机理目前尚不清楚.文章介绍了这方面的实验背景和形成激子环的物理图像,指出了理论研究中存在的问题,并对解决问题的方案进行了讨论. 相似文献

The relation between the excitonic purity and the concurrence in a system of two coupled large semiconduction quantum dots mediated by a single-mode cavity field is investigated by using linear entropy theory. The results show the difference in describing two modes of excitonic entanglement between linear entropy and concurrence. The relation between nonclassical property of cavity field and the entanglement degree of excitons is also discussed. The results show that two modes of exciton can reach maximal entanglement when the cavity exhibits an antibunching effect. 相似文献

Quantum speed limit and entanglement of a two-spin Heisenberg XYZ system in an inhomogeneous external magnetic field are investigated. The physical system studied is the excess electron spin in two adjacent quantum dots. The influences of magnetic field inhomogeneity as well as spin–orbit coupling are studied. Moreover, the spin interaction with surrounding magnetic environment is investigated as a non-Markovian process. The spin–orbit interaction provides two important features: the formation of entanglement when two qubits are initially in a separated state and the degradation and rebirth of the entanglement. 相似文献

Quantum-state engineering, i.e. active manipulation over the coherent dynamics of
suitable quantum-mechanical systems, has become a fascinating prospect of modern
physics. Here we discuss the dynamics of two interacting electrons in a coupled
quantum dot driven by an external electric field. The results show that the two
quantum dots can be used to prepare a maximally entangled Bell state by changing
the strength and duration of an oscillatory electric field. Different from the
suggestion made by Loss \textit et al (1998 Phys. Rev. A 57 120, the
present entanglement involves the spatial degree of freedom for the two electrons.
We also find that the coherent tunnelling suppression discussed by Grossmann
\textit et al (1991 Phys. Rev. Lett. 67 516 persists in the
two-particle case: i.e. two electrons initially localized in one dot can remain
dynamically localized, although the strong Coulomb repulsion prevents them from
behaving so. Surprisingly, the interaction enhances the degree of localization to a
large extent compared with that in the non-interacting case. This phenomenon is
referred to as the Coulomb-enhanced dynamical localization. 相似文献

We propose a practical entanglement concentration protocol(ECP) for a hybrid entangled state using quantum dots and a microcavity coupled system.A hybrid less-entangled state can be concentrated to a most-entangled state with a certain probability using only one ancillary single photon.Moreover,using this protocol,we can also concentrate an arbitrary three-particle less-entangled W state using two ancillary photons and classical communication.The proposed protocols provide us with a useful method to concentrate less-entangled states,which can be implemented with current technology. 相似文献

We propose a scheme for realizing two-qubit controlled phase gates on two nonidentical quantum dots trapped in separate cavities. In our scheme, each dot simultaneously interacts with one highly detuned cavity mode and two strong driven classical fields. During the gate operation, the quantum dots undergo no transition, while the system can acquire different phases conditional on different states of the quantum dots. With the application of the single-qubit operations, two-qubit controlled phase gates can be realized. 相似文献

We investigate the influence of environmental decoherence on the dynamics of a coupled qubit system and quantum correlation.We analyse the relationship between concurrence and the degree of initial entanglement or the purity of initial quantum state,and also their relationship with quantum discord.The results show that the decrease of the purity of an initial quantum state can induce the attenuation of concurrence or quantum discord,but the attenuation of quantum discord is obviously slower than the concurrence’s,correspondingly the survival time of quantum discord is longer.Further investigation reveals that the robustness of quantum discord and concurrence relies on the entanglement degree of the initial quantum state.The higher the degree of entanglement,the more robust the quantum discord is than concurrence.And the reverse is equally true.Birth and death happen to quantum discord periodically and a newborn quantum discord comes into being under a certain condition,so does the concurrence. 相似文献

Dynamical behaviors of an exciton in an asymmetric double coupled quantum dot and an alternatingcurrent (ac) electric field
have been analyzed based on the two-level approximation theory, and the conditions under which dynamical localization occurs
are obtained. It shows that when the amplitude of the ac electric field is small, the Coulomb interaction plays an important
role. The dynamical behaviors of the exciton are mainly confined in the low-level subspace. When the ratio of the field intensity
to frequency is the root of Bessel function, electron and hole are localized in one dot, and they can be divided with the
increasing amplitude of the ac electric field.

建立了圆柱状量子点量子导线复合系统中激子满足的方程,用微扰论求出激子能量.以CdS/HgS/CdS/HgS/CdS圆柱状量子点量子导线复合系统为例,研究了系统中电子的概率分布和系统线度对激子能量的影响.结果表明:系统中电子、空穴以及激子的能量均随量子点高度h0的增大而减小,电子-空穴相互作用对基态激子能量的影响要大于激发态;电子沿径向方向的概率分布呈起伏状,在轴线和表面附近的概率趋于零,而在R/2附近概率最大;在量子点附近电子沿轴向方向的概率分布呈振荡特征

The exciton Stark shift and polarization in hemispherical quantum dots(HQDs) each as a function of strength and orientation of applied electric field are theoretically investigated by an exact diagonalization method. A highly anisotropic Stark redshift of exciton energy is found. As the electric field is rotated from Voigt to Faraday geometry, the redshift of exciton energy monotonically decreases. This is because the asymmetric geometric shape of the hemispherical quantum dot restrains the displacement of the wave function to the higher orbital state in response to electric field along Faraday geometry. A redshift of hole energy is found all the time while a transition of electron energy from this redshift to a blueshift is found as the field is rotated from Voigt to Faraday geometry. Taking advantage of the diminishing of Stark effect along Faraday geometry, the hemispherical shapes can be used to improve significantly the radiative recombination efficiency of the polar optoelectronic devices if the strong internal polarized electric field is along Faraday geometry. 相似文献

The electrical conductance, the thermal conductance, the thermopower and the thermoelectrical figure of merit are analyzed through a double quantum dot system weakly coupled to metal electrodes, by means of density matrix approach. The effects of interdot tunneling, intra- and interdot Coulomb repulsions on the figure of merit are examined. Results show that increase of interdot tunneling gives rise to a reduction in figure of merit. On the other hand, increase of Coulomb repulsion results in enhancement of figure of merit because of reduce of bipolar effect. 相似文献

Entanglement is the crucial resource for different quantum information processing tasks. While conventional studies focus on the entanglement of bipartite or multipartite quantum states, recent works have extended the scenario to the entanglement of quantum channels, an operational quantification of the channel entanglement manipulation capability. Based on the recently proposed channel entanglement resource framework, here we study a further task of resource detection—witnessing entanglement of quantum channels. We first introduce the general framework and show how channel entanglement detection is related to the Choi state of the channel, enabling channel entanglement detection via conventional state entanglement detection methods. We also consider entanglement of multipartite quantum channels and use the stabilizer formalism to construct entanglement witnesses for circuits consisting of controlled-Z gates. We study the effectiveness of the proposed detection methods and compare their performance for several typical channels. Our work paves the way for systematic theoretical studies of channel entanglement and practical benchmarking of noisy intermediate scaled quantum devices. 相似文献
