Dynamical evolutions of quantum correlations in circuit quantum electrodynamics (circuit-QED) are investigated under various dissipative modes. The influences of photon number, coupling strength, detuning and relative phase angle on quantum entanglement and quantum discord are compared as well. The results show that quantum discord may be less robust to decoherence than quantum entanglement since the death and revival also appears. Under certain dissipative mode, the decoherence subspace can be formed in circuit-QED due to the cooperative action of vacuum field. Whether a decoherence subspace can be formed not only depends on the form of quantum system but also relates closely to the dissipative mode of environment. One can manipulate decoherence through manipulating the correlation between environments, but the effect depends on the choice of initial quantum states and dissipative modes. Furthermore, we find that proper relative phase of initial quantum state provides one means of suppressing decoherence.  相似文献

We study the time evolution of the classical and quantum correlations for interacting and noninteracting two-qubit systems under the influence of noncorrelated and correlated environmental models. We discuss the dependence of different physical quantifiers on the environment parameters. Interestingly, we examine the effects of the initial state and different system parameters on the evolution of correlations of the system of qubits in contact with different kinds of environments. We show how the interaction among qubits can protect and preserve the correlation loss during the time evolution for various environmental models. Moreover, we examine the competition between the dissipative and coherent effects in different kinds of correlations dynamics of the system of qubits. Our study gives a deeper understanding on the correlations for a wide variety of the environment models, which is rather significant in different tasks of quantum optics and information.  相似文献

The problem of the evolution of a heavy quarkonium in a medium can be recast as that of a quantum dissipative system. Within the framework of the master-equation approach to open quantum systems, we consider the real-time dynamics of quarkonia. We find that in a plasma at fixed temperature, the populations of the various quarkonium states evolve together, while their momentum distribution satisfies a Fokker–Planck equation.  相似文献

We show that the time evolution of an open quantum system, described by a possibly time dependent Liouvillian, can be simulated by a unitary quantum circuit of a size scaling polynomially in the simulation time and the size of the system. An immediate consequence is that dissipative quantum computing is no more powerful than the unitary circuit model. Our result can be seen as a dissipative Church-Turing theorem, since it implies that under natural assumptions, such as weak coupling to an environment, the dynamics of an open quantum system can be simulated efficiently on a quantum computer. Formally, we introduce a Trotter decomposition for Liouvillian dynamics and give explicit error bounds. This constitutes a practical tool for numerical simulations, e.g., using matrix-product operators. We also demonstrate that most quantum states cannot be prepared efficiently.  相似文献

Evolution speed of an open quantum system is vividly influenced by the structure of environments. The strong system‐environment coupling is found to be able to accelerate quantum evolution. In this work, we propose a different method of governing the quantum speedup via engineering multiple environments. It is shown that, with a judicious choice of the number of coupling environments, the quantum speedup of an open system can be achieved even under weak system‐environment coupling conditions. The mechanism for the speedup is due to the switch between Markovian and non‐Markovian regions by manipulating the number of the surrounding environments. In addition, we verify the above phenomena by using quantum dots embedded in a planar photonic crystal under current technologies. These results provide a new degree of freedoms to accelerate quantum evolution of open systems. The strong system‐environment coupling can speed up the quantum evolution process. This work shows that, via engineering multiple environments, one can speed up the evolution process even under weak coupling conditions.  相似文献

We study theoretically the geometric phase of a double-quantum-dot(DQD) system measured by a quantum point contact(QPC) in the pure dephasing and dissipative environments, respectively. The results show that in these two environments, the coupling strength between the quantum dots has an enhanced impact on the geometric phase during a quasiperiod. This is due to the fact that the expansion of the width of the tunneling channel connecting the two quantum dots accelerates the oscillations of the electron between the quantum dots and makes the length of the evolution path longer. In addition, there is a notable near-zero region in the geometric phase because the stronger coupling between the system and the QPC freezes the electron in one quantum dot and the solid angle enclosed by the evolution path is approximately zero, which is associated with the quantum Zeno effect. For the pure dephasing environment, the geometric phase is suppressed as the dephasing rate increases which is caused only by the phase damping of the system. In the dissipative environment, the geometric phase is reduced with the increase of the relaxation rate which results from both the energy dissipation and phase damping of the system. Our results are helpful for using the geometric phase to construct the fault-tolerant quantum devices based on quantum dot systems in quantum information.  相似文献

We study the time evolution of classical and quantum correlations for hybrid qubit-qutrit systems in independent and common dephasing environments. Our discussion involves a comparative analysis of the Markovian dynamics of negativity, quantum discord, geometric measure of quantum discord and classical correlation. For the case of independent environments, we have demonstrated the phenomenon of sudden transition between classical and quantum decoherence for qubit-qutrit states. In the common environment case, we have shown that dynamics of quantum and geometric discords might be completely independent of each other for a certain time interval, although they tend to be eventually in accord.  相似文献

We investigate the dynamics of quantum discord in a system consisting of two Tavis-Cummings models, each of which contains two atoms driven by a classical field. We compare the dynamics of quantum discord for the system with that of entanglement and show that quantum discord vanishes only asymptotically although entanglement disappears suddenly during the time evolution. Furthermore, we examine the influence of the initial states and the classical field on the discord dynamics and find that the value of quantum discord can be improved by adjusting the classical driving field. Finally, the quantum discord of two atoms in dissipative cavity is also discussed.  相似文献

It is a significant subject to explore effective quantum communication protocol and enhance the efficiency of the transmission process in noisy environments. In this paper, we investigate the bidirectional controlled remote preparation of an arbitrary single-qubit state in the presence of dissipative environments by using two EPR states as the entanglement source. We first construct the quantum circuit of our scheme by means of unitary matrix decomposition procedure, then the effects of the Markovian and non-Markovian environmental noises acting on the EPR states are considered through the analytical derivation and numerical calculations of the corresponding average fidelity. Moreover, we adopt two methods of weak measurement reversal (WMR) and detuning modulation to improve the average fidelity. Our results show that the average fidelity can be remarkably enhanced under appropriate conditions of the WMR strength and the detuning. Compared with the average fidelity behaviors in dissipative environments, it is also shown that the two methods for fidelity improvement are more efficient in the non-Markovian regime than in the Markovian regime.  相似文献

The problems of the feedback of a measurement on the dynamics of quantum mechanical systems, which are chaotic in some way are studied. The system can be Hamiltonian or dissipative. For the latter case it is shown that measurements can be devised which do not affect the evolution of the system. Hamiltonian systems are discussed in terms of two models, one being the kicked quantum rotator and the other a two-state system driven by a field with two incommensurate frequencies. Both destructive and continuous measurements are discussed. For the quantum kicked rotator, in the absence of measurement, there is Anderson localisation due to quantum interference. Surprisingly the act of measurement, which might be expected to destroy the delicate interference, does not lead to delocalisation. Measurements however destroy the time-reversal invariance of the evolution of the Hamiltonian systems. In most circumstances it is shown that quantum chaotic systems can be effectively measured.  相似文献

The exact dynamics of quantum discord (QD) of two strongly driven qubits, which are initially prepared in the X-type quantum states and inserted in two independent dissipative cavities or in a common dissipative cavity, are studied. The results indicate that both in the two cases, the evolution of QD is independent of the initial cavity state. For the two independent dissipative cavities, it is found that the phenomenon of sudden transition between classical and quantum decoherence exists and the transition time can be greatly delayed by suitably choosing the initial state parameter of the two qubits, the cavity mode-driving field detunning and the decay rate of the cavity. For the common dissipative cavity, it is shown that for some initial states of the two qubits, the QD can increase for a finite time at first, and then it decreases to a steady value, while for some other initial states, the QD can increase monotonously or with oscillation till a stable value is reached. Moreover, the creation of QD for the two qubits in a common cavity is discussed.  相似文献

We investigate quantum teleportation and Bell nonlocality for two channel qubits coupled via the Heisenberg interaction and subject to two independent dissipative environments. Compared with the case of two uncoupled qubits, it is shown that the interaction Hamiltonian is beneficial for enhancing the teleportation fidelity and Bell nonlocality, and remarkably, it can also be used to create nonclassical teleportation fidelity and Bell nonlocality even from the initial product states. Moreover, the interaction Hamiltonian guarantees the generation of steady-state nonclassical teleportation fidelity, which is independent of the initial state and therefore one can take any state as the initial channel state.  相似文献

The uncertainty principle is a crucial aspect of quantum mechanics. It has been shown that the uncertainty principle can be tightened by quantum discord and classical correlation in the presence of quantum memory. We investigate the control of the entropic uncertainty and quantum discord in two two-level systems by an ancilla in dissipative environment. Our results show that the entropic uncertainty of an observed system can be reduced and the quantum discord between the observed system and the quantum memory system can be enhanced in the steady state of the system by adding an dissipative ancilla.Particularly, via preparing the state of the system to the highest excited state with hight fidelity, the entropic uncertainty can be reduced markedly and the quantum discord can be enhanced obviously. We explain these results using the definition of state fidelity.Furthermore,we present an effective strategy to further reduce the the entropic uncertainty and to enhance the the quantum discord via quantum-jump-based feedback control. Therefore, our results may be of importance in the context of quantum information technologies.  相似文献

The coherence in quantum superposition states of protons (and chemically similar particles, the positive muons) has been studied in some condensed matter environments. It is shown that if the proton systems and the experimental techniques used to study them are carefully selected, it is possible to observe quantum delocalization states of single particles and to understand the mechanisms for their loss of coherence. Quantum correlated two- and multiparticle states of protons lose coherence very fast when coupled to condensed matter environments, but new sub-femtosecond techniques have made them accessible to experimental studies. The degree of decoherence can be measured as function of time and the decoherence mechanisms can, at least in certain cases, be identified. Although less clean than in corresponding studies of quantum optical systems, these studies can be seen as a first step towards understanding the conditions for preservation of quantum correlation and entanglement in massive systems. Some consequences and some suggestions for future work are discussed. Received 28 August 2002 Published online 7 January 2003  相似文献

The correlation dynamics are investigated for various bi-partitions of a composite quantum system consisting of two qubits and two independent and non-identical noisy environments. The two qubits have no direct interaction with each other and locally interact with their environments. Classical and quantum correlations including the entanglement are initially prepared only between the two qubits. We find that contrary to the identical noisy environment case, the quantum correlation transfer direction can be controlled by combining different noisy environments. The amplitude-damping environment determines whether there exists the entanglement transfer among bi-partitions of the system. When one qubit is coupled to an amplitude-damping environment and the other one to a bit-flip one, we find a very interesting result that all the quantum and the classical correlations, and even the entanglement, originally existing between the qubits, can be completely transferred without any loss to the qubit coupled to the bit-flit environment and the amplitude-damping environment. We also notice that it is possible to distinguish the quantum correlation from the classical correlation and the entanglement by combining different noisy environments.  相似文献

We investigate the dynamics of a quantum system coupled linearly to Gaussian white noise using functional methods. By performing the integration over the noisy field in the evolution operator, we get an equivalent non-Hermitian Hamiltonian, which evolves the quantum state with a dissipative dynamics. We also show that if the integration over the noisy field is done for the time evolution of the density matrix, a gain contribution from the fluctuations can be accessed in addition to the loss one from the non-hermitian Hamiltonian dynamics. We illustrate our study by computing analytically the effective non-Hermitian Hamiltonian, which we found to be the complex frequency harmonic oscillator, with a known evolution operator. It leads to space and time localisation, a common feature of noisy quantum systems in general applications.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the dynamical behaviour of entanglement in terms of concurrence in a bipartite system subjected to an external magnetic field under the action of dissipative environments in the extended Werner-like initial state. The interesting phenomenon of entanglement sudden death as well as sudden birth appears during the evolution process. We analyse in detail the effect of the purity of the initial entangled state of two qubits via Heisenberg XY interaction on the apparition time of entanglement sudden death and entanglement sudden birth. Furthermore, the conditions on the conversion of entanglement sudden death and entanglement sudden birth can be generalized when the initial entangled state is not pure. In particular, a critical purity of the initial mixed entangled state exists, above which entanglement sudden birth vanishes while entanglement sudden death appears. It is also noticed that stable entanglement, which is independent of different initial states of the qubits (pure or mixed state), occurs even in the presence of decoherence. These results arising from the combination of the extended Werner-like initial state and dissipative environments suggest an approach to control and enhance the entanglement even after purity induced sudden birth, death and revival.  相似文献
