The activation of the Ge-H bond and the formation of several hydride complexes, characterized by high-field resonances, have been detected during the 1H NMR spectroscopy monitoring of the photochemical reaction of Et3GeH and Et2GeH2 with W(CO)6 and the norbornadiene complex [W(CO)4(η4-nbd)]. The activation of the Ge-H bond of triethylgermane in the photochemical reactions of tungsten(0) complexes has been applied in the hydrogermylation of norbornadiene (nbd), which leads to the formation of endo-triethylgermylnorbornene as the major product. The complex [{W(μ-η2-H-GeEt2)(CO)4}2] has been fully characterized by NMR spectroscopy and by a single-crystal X-ray diffraction study. Evidence for the hydride ligand of the W(μ-η2-H-GeEt2) group has been provided by 1H NMR spectroscopy (δ = −9.02, 1JH-W = 31 Hz) and by DFT calculations. A DFT study of the structural properties and 1H NMR chemical shifts of several possible intermediate σ and hydride complexes formed during the photochemical reaction of W(CO)6 and Et2GeH2 has been performed.  相似文献

A combined experimental and theoretical charge density study on a quintuply bonded dichromium complex, Cr(2)(dipp)(2) (dipp = (Ar)NC(H)N(Ar) and Ar = 2,6-i-Pr(2)-C(6)H(3)), is performed. Two dipp ligands are bridged between two Cr ions; each Cr atom is coordinated to two N atoms of the ligands in a linear fashion. The Cr atom is in a low oxidation state, Cr(I), and in low coordination number condition, which stabilizes a metal-metal multiple bond, in this case, a quintuple bond. Indeed, it gives an ultrashort Cr-Cr bond distance of 1.7492(1) ? in the complex. The bond characterization of such a quintuple bond is undertaken both experimentally by high-resolution single-crystal X-ray diffraction and theoretically by density functional calculation (DFT). Electron densities are depicted via deformation density and Laplacian distributions. Bond characterizations of the complex are presented in terms of topological properties, Fermi hole function, source function (SF), and natural bonding orbital (NBO) analysis. The electron density at the Cr-Cr bond critical point (BCP) is 1.70 e/?(3), quite a high value for metal-metal bonding and mainly contributed from the metal ion itself. The quintuple bond is confirmed with one σ, two π, and two δ interactions by NBO analysis and Fermi hole function. The molecular orbitals (MOs) illustrate that five bonding orbitals are predominantly contributed from the 3d orbitals of the Cr(I) ion. The effective bond order from NBO analysis is 4.60. The detail comparison between experiment and theory will be given. Additionally, three closely related complexes are calculated for systematic comparison.  相似文献

Metallo-porphyrin complexes of Co(II), Rh(II), and Ir(II) are used as prototype metal-centered radicals in examining the factors that contribute to obtaining one-electron activated ethene and CO substrate adducts [M(CH2CH2)] and [M(CO)] that subsequently react on to produce complexes with reduced substrate units including M-CH2CH2-M, M-(CH2)4-M, M-C(O)-M, M-C(O)-C(O)-M, and M-C(O)H. Cobalt(II) and rhodium(II) complexes of the form [(por)M(CH2CH2)] and [(por)M(CO)] occur as primarily metal-centered radicals and the iridium analogs are porphyrin anion radical complexes ((por)IrIII(CH2CH2), (por)IrIII(CO)). Relatively small (por)Co-C bond dissociation enthalpies preclude forming any reduced substrate species. Rhodium porphyrins produce a complete set of reduced and coupled ethene and CO complexes, but iridium porphyrins only give ethene reduction and coupling products (por)Ir-CH2CH2-Ir(por) and (por)Ir-(CH2)4-Ir(por). Thermodynamic criteria and analysis of substrate reactions are used to guide interpretations of the observed reactivity.  相似文献

Addition of 1.0 equiv of Ph3SiH to [Cp*(PMe3)Rh(Me)(CH2Cl2)]+BAr'4- (1) resulted in release of methane and quantitative formation of [Cp*(PMe3)Rh(SiPh3)(CH2Cl2)]+BAr'4- (2). Subsequent addition of 1.0 equiv of MeCN to 2 caused immediate displacement of dichloromethane to form the eta1-nitrile adduct [Cp*(PMe3)Rh(SiPh3)(NCMe)]+BAr'4- (3). Upon standing at room-temperature overnight, complex 3 converted quantitatively to another product which has been characterized as the C-C activation product, [Cp*(PMe3)Rh(Me)(CNSiPh3)]+BAr'4- (5). Addition of other nitrile substrates (R-CN, R = Ph, (4-CF3)Ph, (4-MeO)Ph, iPr, tBu) to 2 also resulted in C-C activation of the R-CN bond to form [Cp*(PMe3)Rh(R)(CNSiPh3)]+BAr'4-. Evidence for an eta2-iminoacyl intermediate complex, [Cp*(PMe3)Rh(eta2-C(R)=N(SiPh3)]+BAr'4-, is also presented.  相似文献

From the reaction mixture of [M(II)(bpy)Cl(2)], the ligand 2-anilino-4,6-di-tert-butylphenol, H[L(AP)], and 2 equiv of a base (NaOCH(3)) in CH(3)CN under anaerobic conditions were obtained the blue-green neutral complexes [M(II)(L(AP)-H)(bpy)] (M = Pd (1), Pt (2)). (L(AP)-H)(2)(-) represents the o-amidophenolato dianion, (L(AP))(1)(-) is the o-aminophenolate(1-), (L(ISQ))(1)(-) is its one-electron-oxidized, pi-radical o-iminobenzosemiquinonate(1-), and (L(IBQ))(0) is the neutral quinone. Complexes 1 and 2 can be oxidized by ferrocenium hexafluorophosphate, yielding the paramagnetic salts [M(II)(L(ISQ))(bpy)]PF(6) (S = (1)/(2)) (M = Pd (1a), Pt (2a)). The reaction of PtCl(2), 2 equiv of H[L(AP)], and 4 equiv of base in CH(3)CN in the presence of air yields diamagnetic [Pt(L(ISQ))(2)] (3), which is shown to possess an electronic structure that is best described as a singlet diradical. Complexes 1, 1a, 2, 2a, and 3 have been structurally characterized by X-ray crystallography at 100 K. It is clearly established that O,N-coordinated (L(AP)-H)(2)(-) ligands have a distinctly different structure than the corresponding O,N-coordinated (L(ISQ))(1)(-) radicals. It is therefore possible to unambiguously assign the protonation and oxidation level of o-aminophenol derived ligands in coordination compounds. All complexes have been investigated by cyclic voltammetry, spectroelectrochemistry, EPR, and UV-vis spectroscopy. Complexes 1 and 2 can be reversibly oxidized to the [M(II)(L(ISQ))(bpy)](+) and [M(II)(L(IBQ))(pby)](2+) mono- and dications, respectively, and reduced to the [M(L(AP)-H)(bpy(*))](-) anion, where (bpy(*))(1)(-) is the radical anion of 2,2'-bipyridine. Complex 3 exhibits four reversible one-electron-transfer waves (two oxidations and two reductions) which are all shown to be ligand centered. The EPR spectra of the one-electron-reduced species [Pt(L(AP)-H)(L(ISQ))](-) (S = (1)/(2)) and of the one-electron-oxidized species [Pt(L(ISQ))(L(IBQ))](+) (S = (1)/(2)) in CH(2)Cl(2) solutions have been recorded. To gain a better understanding of the electronic structure of 3 and its monooxidized and reduced forms, relativistic DFT calculations have been carried out. Magnetic coupling parameters and hyperfine couplings were calculated and found to be in very good agreement with experiment. It is shown that both the one-electron oxidation and reduction of 3 are ligand centered. A simple MO model is developed in order to understand the EPR properties of the monocation and monoanion of 3.  相似文献

Density functional theory (DFT) structure calculations and time-dependent DFT electronic excitation calculations have been performed on chlorogenic acid (H(3)CGA), a polyphenolic compound, used as a model molecule of humic substances. The different deprotonated forms of H(3)CGA have also been investigated. H(3)CGA is a multisite ligand that presents several metal complexing sites in competition, notably the carboxylic and catechol moieties. In low acidic aqueous medium, the complexation of Pb(II) has been followed by electronic absorption spectrometry. The formation of two complexes of stoichiometry metal:ligand 1:1 (log beta(1:1) = 3.39) and 2:1 (log beta(2:1) = 7.12) has been highlighted with use of chemometric methods. The theoretical spectrum of the 1:1 complex obtained by TD-DFT methodology shows the formation of a chelate [Pb(H(2)CGA)(H(2)O)(3)](+) with the metal fixation at the level of the carboxylate function. The second complexing site, the catechol moiety, is rapidly involved in the formation of the 2:1 complex from molar ratios [metal]/[ligand] higher than 0.1. The electronic transitions calculated for both free ligand and complexes involved the same molecular orbitals, and no ligand-metal or metal-ligand charge transfer is observed.  相似文献

Experimental and DFT-based computational results on the aziridination mechanism and the catalytic activity of (bispidine)copper(I) and -copper(II) complexes are reported and discussed (bispidine=tetra- or pentadentate 3,7-diazabicyclo[3.1.1]nonane derivative with two or three aromatic N donors in addition to the two tertiary amines). There is a correlation between the redox potential of the copper(II/I) couple and the activity of the catalyst. The most active catalyst studied, which has the most positive redox potential among all (bispidine)copper(II) complexes, performs 180 turnovers in 30 min. A detailed hybrid density functional theory (DFT) study provides insight into the structure, spin state, and stability of reactive intermediates and transition states, the oxidation state of the copper center, and the denticity of the nitrene source. Among the possible pathways for the formation of the aziridine product, the stepwise formation of the two N-C bonds is shown to be preferred, which also follows from experimental results. Although the triplet state of the catalytically active copper nitrene is lowest in energy, the two possible spin states of the radical intermediate are practically degenerate, and there is a spin crossover at this stage because the triplet energy barrier to the singlet product is exceedingly high.  相似文献

FT-IR and (1)H, (13)C, DEPT, HETCOR, COSY, and NOESY NMR spectra of 2-(1-cyclohexenyl)ethylamine (CyHEA) have been reported for the first time. The vibrational frequencies and (1)H, (13)C NMR chemical shifts of CyHEA (C(8)H(15)N) have been calculated by means of the Hartree-Fock (HF), Becke-Lee-Yang-Parr (BLYP) and Becke-3-Lee-Yang-Parr (B3LYP) density functional methods with 6-31 G(d) and 6-31 G(d,p) basis sets, respectively. The comparison between the experimental and the theoretical results indicates that density functional B3LYP method is superior to the scaled HF and BLYP approach for vibrational frequencies and predicting NMR properties.  相似文献

Insertion of CO2 into the transition metal-hydride bond of [RhIIIH2(PH3)3]+, CuIH(PH3)2, and RhIH(PH3)3 was theoretically investigated with ab initio MO/MP 4, SD-CI , and CCD methods. The geometries of reactants, transition states (TS ), and products were optimized at the Hartree-Fock level, and then MP 4, SD-CI , and CCD calculations were performed on those optimized structures. The TS of the CO2 insertion into the CuI(bond)H bond is the most reactantlike, while the TS of the CO2 insertion into the RhIII(bond)H bond is the most productlike. The activation energy (Ea) and the reaction energy (ΔE) were calculated to be 6.5 and −33.5 kcal/mol for the CO2 insertion into the Cu1(bond)H bond, 21.2 and −7.0 kcal/mol for the CO2 insertion into the Rh1(bond)H bond, and 51.3 and −1.1 kcal/mol for the Rh111(bond)H bond at the SD-CI level, where negative ΔE represents exothermicity. These results are discussed in terms of the M(bond)H bond energy and the trans-influence of the hydride ligand. © 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

We have performed a combined experimental and theoretical study of the molecular system of 1,2-diphenylacetylene. The occurrence of two different geometries of the molecule in the crystal structure, one being planar and the other tilted by approximately 6 degrees , has been investigated in relation to the nature of the acetylenic linker. The experimental charge density analysis shows that the acetylenic linker exhibits a noncylindrical density reminiscent of the strong conjugation present in the molecule. The pi-orbitals of the acetylenic linker derived from density functional theory (DFT) calculations are found to sustain a variety of conjugation lengths between the phenyl rings, thereby giving flexibility to the molecule to arrange itself in various packing conformations in the crystal. It is interesting that the energy involved for such distortions is only kBT, allowing several polymorphic forms of the crystal structure as reported in the literature. The distortions entertained by the molecule and the corresponding changes in the charge density distribution and energy are all relevant to molecular electronics.  相似文献

FT-IR and (1)H, (13)C, DEPT, COSY, NOESY, HETCOR, INADEQUATE NMR spectra of 1-phenylpiperazine (pp) have been reported for the first time except for its (1)H NMR spectrum. The vibrational frequencies and (1)H, (13)C NMR chemical shifts of pp (C(10)H(14)N(2)) have been calculated by means of the Hartree-Fock (HF) and Becke-Lee-Yang-Parr (BLYP) or Becke-3-Lee-Yang-Parr (B3LYP) density functional methods with 6-31G(d) and 6-31G(d,p) basis sets, respectively. Comparison between the experimental and the theoretical results indicates that density functional B3LYP method is superior to the scaled HF and BLYP approach for predicting vibrational frequencies and NMR properties.  相似文献

Cyclometalated Pt (II) complexes [PtMe(C^N)(L)], in which C^N = deprotonated 2,2′‐bipyridine N‐oxide (Obpy), 1 , deprotonated 2‐phenylpyridine (ppy), 2 , deprotonated benzo [h] quinolone (bzq), 3 , and L = tricyclohexylphosphine (PCy3) were prepared and fully characterized. By treatment of 1–3 with excess MeI, the thermodynamically favored Pt (IV) complexes cis‐[PtMe2I(C^N)(PCy3)] (C^N = Obpy, 1a ; ppy, 2a ; and bzq, 3a ) were obtained as the major products in which the incoming methyl and iodine groups adopted cis positions relative to each other. All the complexes were characterized by means of NMR spectroscopy while the absolute configuration of 1a was further determined by X‐ray crystal structure analysis. The reaction of methyl iodide with 1–3 were kinetically explored using UV–vis spectroscopy. On the basis of the kinetic data together with the time‐resolved NMR investigation, it was established that the oxidative addition reaction occurred through the classical SN2 attack of Pt (II) center on the MeI reagent. Moreover, comparative kinetic studies demonstrated that the electronic and steric nature of either the cyclometalating ligands or the phosphine ligand influence the rate of reaction. Surprisingly, by extending the oxidative addition reaction time, very stable iodine‐bridged Pt (IV)‐Pt (IV) complexes [Pt2Me4(C^N)2(μ‐I)2] (C^N = Obpy, 1b ; ppy, 2b ; and bzq, 3b ) were obtained and isolated. In order to find a reasonable explanation for the observation, a DFT (density functional theory) computational analysis was undertaken and it was found that the results were consistent with the experimental findings.  相似文献

A new efficient palladium(II)-catalyzed oxidative carbocyclization has been developed. It was found that allene-substituted olefins 1 cyclized in the presence of 1 mol % Pd(O2CCF3)2 and p-benzoquinone (2 equiv) to give bicyclic ring systems 2 in good to excellent yields. The cyclization constitutes a new type of carbon-carbon bond forming reaction between an allene and an olefin under oxidative conditions.  相似文献

Cytochrome p450(BioI)(CYP107H1) is believed to supply pimelic acid equivalents for biotin biosynthesis in Bacillus subtilis: we report here that the mechanistic pathway adopted by this multifunctional p450 for the in-chain cleavage of fatty acids is via consecutive formation of alcohol and threo-diol intermediates, with the likely absolute configuration of the intermediates also reported.  相似文献
