In this paper, we consider the path semigroup ?1?1-algebra for a quiver and the inverse semigroup ?1?1-algebra of a quiver, the latter of which can be used in the construction of Cuntz–Krieger algebras. The main objectives of the paper are to determine the simplicial and cyclic cohomology groups of these algebras. First, we determine the simplicial and cyclic cohomology of the path algebra of the quiver, showing the simplicial cohomology groups of dimension n   vanish for n>1n>1. We then determine the simplicial and cyclic cohomology of the inverse semigroup algebra. The work uses the Connes–Tzygan long exact sequence.  相似文献

We investigate the simplicial cohomology of certain Banach operator algebras. The two main examples considered are the Banach algebra of all bounded operators on a Banach space and its ideal of approximable operators. The authors prove that all n-th completely bounded cohomology groups of a nest algebra T(N) acting on a separable Hilbert space are trivial when the coefficients lie in any ultraweakly closed T(N)-bimodule containing the nest algebra. We associate to each infinite primitive Lie pseudogroup a Hopf algebra of ‘transverse symmetries,’ by refining a procedure due to Connes and the first author in the case of the general pseudogroup. The affiliated Hopf algebra can be viewed as a ‘quantum group’ counterpart of the infinite-dimensional primitive Lie algebra of the pseudogroup. It is first constructed via its action on the étale groupoid associated to the pseudogroup, and then realized as a bicrossed product of a universal enveloping algebra by a Hopf algebra of regular functions on a formal group. The bicrossed product structure allows to express its Hopf cyclic cohomology in terms of a bicocyclic bicomplex analogous to the Chevalley-Eilenberg complex. As an application, we compute the relative Hopf cyclic cohomology modulo the linear isotropy for the Hopf algebra of the general pseudogroup, and find explicit cocycle representatives for the universal Chern classes in Hopf cyclic cohomology. As another application, we determine all Hopf cyclic cohomology groups for the Hopf algebra associated to the pseudogroup of local diffeomorphisms of the line.  相似文献

Let be a unital Banach algebra. A projection in which is equivalent to the identitity may give rise to a matrix-like structure on any two-sided ideal in . In this set-up we prove a theorem to the effect that the bounded cohomology vanishes for all . The hypotheses of this theorem involve (i) strong H-unitality of , (ii) a growth condition on diagonal matrices in , and (iii) an extension of in by an amenable Banach algebra. As a corollary we show that if is an infinite dimensional Banach space with the bounded approximation property, is an infinite dimensional -space, and is the Banach algebra of approximable operators on , then for all .

Letk be a field of characteristic 0, and letB be an algebra overk which is graded by a discrete groupG. Let HC*(A) denote the cyclic cohomology of an algebraA overk. We prove that there is an HC*(kG)-module structure on HC*(B) which generalizes Connes' periodicity operator on HC*(B). This module structure also decomposes with respect to conjugacy classes and results in a natural generalization of the results of Burghelea and Nistor in the cases of group algebras and algebraic crossed product algebras, respectively. Moreover, the proofs given in this paper are purely analytic with explicit constructions which can be used in the calculation of the cyclic cohomology of topological twisted crossed product algebras.Research sponsored in part by NSF Grant DMS-9204005.  相似文献

This paper aims to study low dimensional cohomology of Hom-Lie algebras and the qdeformed W(2, 2) algebra. We show that the q-deformed W(2, 2) algebra is a Hom-Lie algebra. Also,we establish a one-to-one correspondence between the equivalence classes of one-dimensional central extensions of a Hom-Lie algebra and its second cohomology group, leading us to determine the second cohomology group of the q-deformed W(2, 2) algebra. In addition, we generalize some results of derivations of finitely generated Lie algebras with values in graded modules to Hom-Lie algebras.As application, we compute all αk-derivations and in particular the first cohomology group of the q-deformed W(2, 2) algebra.  相似文献

We devote to the calculation of Batalin–Vilkovisky algebra structures on the Hochschild cohomology of skew Calabi–Yau generalized Weyl algebras. We first establish a Van den Bergh duality at the level of complex. Then based on the results of Solotar et al., we apply Kowalzig and Krähmer's method to the Hochschild homology of generalized Weyl algebras, and translate the homological information into cohomological one by virtue of the Van den Bergh duality, obtaining the desired Batalin–Vilkovisky algebra structures. Finally, we apply our results to quantum weighted projective lines and Podleś quantum spheres, and the Batalin–Vilkovisky algebra structures for them are described completely.  相似文献
