In the Euclidean setting, the Fujii–Wilson-type \(A_\infty \) weights satisfy a reverse Hölder inequality (RHI), but in spaces of homogeneous type the best-known result has been that \(A_\infty \) weights satisfy only a weak reverse Hölder inequality. In this paper, we complement the results of Hytönen, Pérez and Rela and show that there exist both \(A_\infty \) weights that do not satisfy an RHI and a genuinely weaker weight class that still satisfies a weak RHI. We also show that all the weights that satisfy a weak RHI have a self-improving property, but the self-improving property of the strong reverse Hölder weights fails in a general space of homogeneous type. We prove most of these purely non-dyadic results using convenient dyadic systems and techniques.  相似文献

It is proved that a (C 1, C 2)-Hölder valuation is (2, α)-equivalent to classical valuation on the set of matrices over a skew field and on the set of cubic matrices over a field. These results provide an extension of the Garcia theorem.  相似文献

Under the Lipschitz and square integrable assumptions on the generator g of BSDEs, this paper proves that if g is positively homogeneous in (y, z) and is decreasing in y, then the Moment inequality for BSDEs with generator g holds in general, and if g is positively homogeneous and sub-additive in (y, z), then the HSlder inequality and Minkowski inequality for BSDEs with generator g hold in general.  相似文献

We examine the problem of the Fourier transform mapping one weighted Lebesgue space into another, by studying necessary conditions and sufficient conditions which expose an underlying geometry. In the necessary conditions, this geometry is connected to an old result of Mahler concerning the the measure of a convex body and its geometric polar being essentially reciprocal. An additional assumption, that the weights must belong to a reverse Hölder class, is used to formulate the sufficient condition.  相似文献

Abstract

This article focuses on a new approach to investigate the Hölder continuity for the solution mapping of a parametric non-convex strong generalized Ky Fan inequality. Based on a non-convex separation theorem, the union relation between the solution set of the parametric non-convex strong generalized Ky Fan inequality and the solution sets of a series of Ky Fan inequalities, is established. Without density results and any information on the solution mapping, a sufficient condition for the Hölder continuity of the solution mapping to the parametric non-convex strong generalized Ky Fan inequality is given by using the key union relation. Our method does not impose any convexity, monotonicity, and the single-valuedness of the solution mapping.  相似文献

If A1, . . . , Am are positive semidefinite n × n matrices, and if p1, . . . , pm are positive real numbers such that then where |X| denotes and tr(X) denotes the trace of X. Moreover, equality holds in either of these inequalities if and only if . This result will be shown to hold as well in unital C*-algebras that have a faithful tracial state.  相似文献

The well known De Giorgi result on Hölder continuity for solutions of the Dirichlet problem is re-established for mixed boundary value problems, provided that the underlying domain is a Lipschitz domain and the border between the Dirichlet and the Neumann boundary part satisfies a very general geometric condition. Implications of this result for optimal control theory are presented.  相似文献

We prove the existence of a stochastic flow of Hölder homeomorphisms for solutions of SDEs with singular time dependent drift having only certain integrability properties. We also show that the solution map x → X x is differentiable in a weak sense.  相似文献

We consider some self-affine fractal functions previously studied by Barnsleyet al. The graphs of these functions are invariant under certain affine scalings, and we extend their definition to allow the use of nonlinear scalings. The Hölder exponent,h, for these fractal functions is calculated and we show that there is a larger Hölder exponent,h , defined at almost every point (with respect to Lebesgue measure). For a class of such functions defined using linear affinities these exponents are related to the box dimensionD B of the graph byh2–D Bh .Communicated by Michael F. Barnsley.  相似文献

We generalize the well-known result due to Caffarelli concerning Lipschitz estimates for the optimal transportation T of logarithmically concave probability measures. Suppose that T: ? d → ? d is the optimal transportation mapping µ = e ?V dx to ν = e ?W dx. Suppose that the second difference-differential V is estimated from above by a power function and that the modulus of convexity W is estimated from below by the function A q |x|1+q , q ≥ 1. We prove that, under these assumptions, the mapping T is globally Hölder with the Hölder constant independent of the dimension. In addition, we study the optimal mapping T of a measure µ to Lebesgue measure on a convex bounded set K ? ? d . We obtain estimates of the Lipschitz constant of the mapping T in terms of d, diam(K), and DV, D 2 V.  相似文献

A closed subset E of the unit circumference T is said to be a peak set for the analytic Hölder class A, 0 < < 1 there exists a functionf,fA such that f¦E1 and ¦f(z)¦<1 for. It is shown that the set E is a peak set of the algebra A if and only if there exists a nonnegative Borel measure on T such that the function coincides almost everywhere with a function of the Hölder class , equal to zero on E. A sufficient condition in order that a closed set E should belong to the family of peak sets is obtained.Translated from Zapiski Nauchnykh Seminarov Leningradskogo Otdeleniya Matematicheskogo Instituta im. Hölder categories are invented to provide an axiomatic foundation for the study of categories of archimedean lattice-ordered algebraic structures. The basis of such a study is Hölder’s Theorem (1908), stating that the archimedean totally ordered groups are precisely the subgroups of the additive real numbers ? with the usual addition and ordering, which remains the single most consequential result in the studies of lattice-ordered algebraic systems since Birkhoff and Fuchs to the present. This study originated with interest in W*, the category of all archimedean lattice-ordered groups with a designated strong order unit, and the ?-homomorphisms which preserve those units, and, more precisely, with interest in the epireflections on W*. In the course of this study, certain abstract notions jumped to the forefront. Two of these, in particular, seem to have been mostly overlooked; some notion of simplicity appears to be essential to any kind of categorical study of W*, as are the quasi-initial objects in a category. Once these two notions have been brought into the conversation, a Hölder category may then be defined as one which is complete, well powered, and in which (a) the initial object I is simple, and (b) there is a simple quasi-initial coseparator R. In this framework it is shown that the epireflective hull of R is the least monoreflective class. And, when I = R — that is, the initial element is simple and a coseparator — a theorem of Bezhanishvili, Morandi, and Olberding, for bounded archimedean f-algebras with identity, can be be generalized, as follows: for any Hölder category subject to the stipulation that the initial object is a simple coseparator, every uniformly nontrivial reflection — meaning that the reflection of each non-terminal object is non-terminal — is a monoreflection. Also shown here is the fact that the atoms in the class of epireflective classes are the epireflective hulls of the simple quasi-initial objects. From this observation one easily deduces a converse to the result of Bezhanishvili, Morandi, and Olberding: if in a Hölder category every epireflection is a monoreflection, then the initial object is a coseparator.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the Hölder regularity of set-indexed stochastic processes defined in the framework of Ivanoff–Merzbach. The first key result is a Kolmogorov-like Hölder-continuity Theorem, whose novelty is illustrated on an example which could not have been treated with anterior tools. Increments for set-indexed processes are usually not simply written as XU ? XV, hence we considered different notions of Hölder-continuity. Then, the localization of these properties leads to various definitions of Hölder exponents, which we compare to one another.  相似文献

Using techniques of variational analysis, necessary and sufficient subdifferential conditions for Hölder error bounds are investigated and some new estimates for the corresponding modulus are obtained. As an application, we consider the setting of convex semi-infinite optimization and give a characterization of the Hölder calmness of the argmin mapping in terms of the level set mapping (with respect to the objective function) and a special supremum function. We also estimate the Hölder calmness modulus of the argmin mapping in the framework of linear programming.

For ν(dθ), a σ-finite Borel measure on R d , we consider L 2(ν(dθ))-valued stochastic processes Y(t) with te property that Y(t)=y(t,·) where y(t,θ)=∫ t 0 e −λ(θ)( t s ) dm(s,θ) and m(t,θ) is a continuous martingale with quadratic variation [m](t)=∫ t 0 g(s,θ)ds. We prove timewise H?lder continuity and maximal inequalities for Y and use these results to obtain Hilbert space regularity for a class of superrocesses as well as a class of stochastic evolutions of the form dX=AXdt+GdW with W a cylindrical Brownian motion. Maximal inequalities and H?lder continuity results are also provenfor the path process t (τ)≗Ytt). Received: 25 June 1999 / Revised version: 28 August 2000 /?Published online: 9 March 2001  相似文献

We prove the Lipschitz continuity of the maximal angle function on the set of closed convex cones in a Hilbert space. A similar result is obtained for the minimal angle function. On the other hand, we prove that the incenter of a solid cone and the circumcenter of a sharp cone behave in a locally Hölderian manner.  相似文献
