The absorption cross section of electromagnetic radiation is calculated for a bimetallic cylindrical particle of finite length. A general case is considered, where the ratio of the radius of the particle core to the particle radius and the ratio of the radius of the particle to its length can take arbitrary values. The conditions of diffuse reflection of electrons from the internal and external surfaces of the metal shell of the particle and from its faces are used as the boundary conditions of the problem. The effect of the ratio of the radius of the core of a bimetallic cylindrical particle to the particle radius and the ratio of the radius of the particle to its length on the electromagnetic properties of the particle is analyzed.  相似文献

According to the experimental results and the characteristics of the pressure-sensitive fractured formation, a transient flow model is developed for the deep naturally-fractured reservoirs with different outer boundary conditions. The finite element equations for the model are derived. After generating the unstructured grids in the solution regions, the finite element method is used to calculate the pressure type curves for the pressure-sensitive fractured reservoir with different outer boundaries, such as the infinite boundary, circle boundary and combined linear boundaries, and the characteristics of the type curves are comparatively analyzed. The effects on the pressure curves caused by pressure sensitivity module and the effective radius combined parameter are determined, and the method for calculating the pressure-sensitive reservoir parameters is introduced. By analyzing the real field case in the high temperature and pressure reservoir, the perfect results show that the transient flow model for the pressure-sensitive fractured reservoir in this paper is correct.  相似文献

Transition to turbulent flow in a curved pipe has been well studied through experiments and numerical simulations. Numerical simulations often use a helical pipe with an infinite length such that the inlet and outlet boundary conditions can be modelled as periodic which greatly reduces computational time. In this study, we examined a finite length curved pipe with Poiseuille flow imposed at the inlet and a stress-free boundary condition at the outlet. Direct numerical simulation of the Navier-Stokes equations for rigid walls and a Newtonian fluid was performed using nek5000. Straight extensions were added to the inlet and outlet such to diminish the impact of boundary conditions on the flow field in the region with curvature. The examined model has a pipe radius of curvature that is three times the pipe radius. The model has ~355 million nodes and required an order of magnitude greater computational time when compared with an infinite length curved pipe. Results show that the critical Reynolds number, the lowest value with instabilities present in the flow, is much greater than that of a straight pipe and occurs near Re=5000–5200. This is larger than the critical Reynolds number typically reported for an infinite length curved pipe (Re=4200–4300).  相似文献

A numerical investigation is made on the thermal lensing and spherical aberration effect in an LD end-pumped Nd:YAG laser. Based on the finite element method (FEM), the laser rod temperature distribution is calculated and the focal length of the thermal lens is deduced, the influences of pump beam on the thermal lensing spherical aberration are mainly studied. The results show the thermal lens which focal length varied with the radial coordinate r is not an ideal lens. Given the heat dissipation boundary conditions, the radial dependent focal length will be shortened when the pump power raised or the waist radius of the pump beam reduced, meanwhile the radial differences of the focal length will decrease when the pump power increased. For a Super-Gaussian profile pump beam, the higher the exponent number, the more similar to flat top the pump beam is, and the less the radial differences of the focal length are.  相似文献

利用有限元软件ANSYS,对碳纳米管的最佳阵列密度进行了分析。针对碳纳米管阵列静电场分布的特点,建立了碳纳米管的模型,确定了模型的边界条件。为了便于对计算结果进行对照,在分析时采用的参数是:阵列周期T=2000nm,单根碳纳米管长度L=1μm,顶端半径r=2nm。通过计算得到了单根碳纳米管的场增强因子为321。在长度L和顶端半径r不变的情况下,使用了参数化设计语言,计算了在不同周期(200~4000μm)下碳纳米管场增强因子随周期变化的情况,进一步利用Fowler Nordheim函数得到最佳阵列周期(1600μm)。结果证明,利用有限元软件,其分析过程不仅正确性,而且实用,并且为此类问题的解决提供了一个通用的方法。  相似文献

Free flexural vibrations of homogeneous, thin, orthotropic plates of an arbitrary shape with mixed boundary conditions are studied using the R-function method. The proposed method is based on the use of the R-function theory and variational methods. In contrast to the widely used methods of the network type (finite differences, finite element, and boundary element methods), in the R-function method all the geometric information given in the boundary value problem statement is represented in an analytical form. This allows one to seek a solution in a form of some formulas called a solution structure. These solution structures contain some indefinite functional components that can be determined by using any variational method. A method of constructing the solution structures satisfying the required mixed boundary conditions for eigenvalue plate bending problems is described. Numerical examples for the vibration analysis of orthotropic plates of complex geometry with mixed boundary conditions for illustrating the aforementioned R-function method and comparison against the other methods are made to demonstrate its merits.  相似文献

This paper presents a variational formulation which treats initial value problems and boundary problems in a unified manner. The basic ingredients of this theory are (1) adjoint variable and (2) unconstrained variations. It is an extension of the finite element unconstrained variational formulation used previously in solving several non-conservative stability problems. The technique which makes this extension possible is described. This formulation thus enables one to adapt such numerical techniques as the finite element method, which has had great success and popularity for solution of boundary value problems, for solutions of initial value problems as well. These formulations are given here for a forced vibration problem, a heat (mass) transfer problem and a wave propagation problem. Numerical calculations in conjunction with finite elements for two specific examples are obtained and compared with known exact solutions.  相似文献

This paper proposes a hybrid method for the prediction of vibrational and acoustic responses of low-damping system in the medium-to-high frequency ranges by using the power flow analysis (PFA) algorithm and statistical energy analysis (SEA) coupling concepts. The main part of this method is the application of the coupling loss factor (CLF) of SEA to the boundary condition of PFA in reverberant system. First, for hybrid PFA, the hybrid boundary conditions on 1-D and 2-D cases were derived in the general form. To verify the derived boundary conditions, numerical analyses for each case were performed. The hybrid PFA solutions using derived boundary conditions were compared with the classical PFA solutions with various reverberance factors including the effects of the characteristic length, excitation frequency and group velocity besides damping loss factor of the subsystem. Additionally, the hybrid PFA on 3-D case and the hybrid power flow finite element method (PFFEM) for hybrid PFA of built-up structures are described in the other companion paper.  相似文献

We show how to construct low energy solutions to the Randall-Sundrum II (RSII) model by using an associated five-dimensional anti-de Sitter space (AdS(5)) and/or four-dimensional conformal field theory (CFT(4)) problem. The RSII solution is given as a perturbation of the AdS(5)-CFT(4) solution, with the perturbation parameter being the radius of curvature of the brane metric compared to the AdS length ?. The brane metric is then a specific perturbation of the AdS(5)-CFT(4) boundary metric. For low curvatures the RSII solution reproduces 4D general relativity on the brane. Recently, AdS(5)-CFT(4) solutions with a 4D Schwarzschild boundary metric were numerically constructed. We modify the boundary conditions to numerically construct large RSII static black holes with radius up to ~20?. For a large radius, the RSII solutions are indeed close to the associated AdS(5)-CFT(4) solution.  相似文献

The natural vibration frequencies and mode shapes of a curved cylindrical blade with a weighted edge are investigated. A finite element method is used, in which curved cylindrical shell finite elements are utilized to model the blade. The weighted edge is modelled as a beam with its stiffness and mass added into the stiffness and mass of the blade. Vibration frequencies and mode shapes for blades with different boundary conditions and with different radii of curvature are obtained. A semi-analytical annular finite element is developed for the dynamic analysis of non-rotating, rotating or pre-stressed discs having varying thickness in the radial direction. The element is based on the Mindlin thick plate theory. It has 2 nodes, 12 degrees of freedom, parabolic thickness, and is capable of representing all the geometric and natural boundary conditions of thick plates. The element is applied to the dynamic analysis of non-rotating and rotating uniform discs, and to practical turbine discs. The predicted natural frequencies of the discs are compared with analytical, experimental and other finite element solutions.  相似文献

This paper deals with the free vibration behavior of laminated transversely isotropic circular plates with axisymmetric rigid core attached at the center. The governing equations of motion are obtained based on Mindlin's first-order shear deformation plate theory. Two possible categories of vibration modes related to up-down translation of the core and wobbly rotation of the core about a diameter are studied. Accurate natural frequencies hitherto not reported in the literature are presented for a wide range of thickness-to-radius ratio, inner-to-outer radius ratio, mass and moment of inertia ratios of the core and various boundary conditions at the outer edge of the plate. Numerical results are compared with those of a three-dimensional finite element method (3-D FEM) to demonstrate the high accuracy and reliability of the current analysis.  相似文献

The boundary marching method is applied for the analysis of the waveguide bandpass filers. The vector finite element method with the perfectly matched layers (PML) as the matching load is given for parameter extraction of millimeter wave filters. The implementation of the fast boundary marching method is described in detail. 为计算和分析具有复杂结构的阻抗复合式消声器的宽频消声性能,建立了一种高效声学有限元方法,给出了不同边界条件下的边界积分处理细节,得到有限元全局系数矩阵表达式,设计出计算程序框架以实现这些算法,其求解规模和计算速度与商业软件相比有优势。为计算阻抗复合式消声器的传递损失,通过阻抗管测量和数据拟合得到了吸声材料声学特性的经验公式。计算和测量了两通穿孔阻抗复合式消声器的传递损失,二者良好的吻合验证了声学有限元方法和计算程序的正确性。研究表明,插管长度影响消声器在中高频段的消声特性,右侧隔板上穿孔会消除共振峰,中高频消声性能随着出口管穿孔率的增加而提升。   相似文献

In this article, the effect of dissipation on local and global stability of fluid conveying pipes is analyzed. The local approach refers to an infinite medium and uses wave propagation analyses without taking boundary conditions into account. The global approach refers to the same medium, but with finite length and associated with a given set of boundary conditions. The finite length system is generally studied by calculating its eigenmodes and eigenfrequencies. Criteria for local instability are derived in the first part of this paper, and dissipation is found to significantly affect local stability. Moreover, dissipation is found to have a stabilizing or destabilizing effect, depending on the other parameters. Next, numerical computations are presented for finite-length systems and results are analyzed and compared with local stability properties of the corresponding media. When the system is sufficiently long, it is found that critical velocity for global instability tends to a local criterion which can be that of local stability of the damped medium or a local transition criterion of the undamped medium, which is not necessarily the local instability criterion. Finally, a reasoning based on lengthscale ratios is developed. It allows to know which criterion is able to predict the global stability for long systems.  相似文献

 基于热传导方程和热弹方程,利用有限元分析方法,就光斑尺寸远大于或接近于基底材料热扩散长度的情况以及反射镜在固定或自由的边界条件下,分别计算了硅和石英两种基底材料多层膜红外连续激光反射镜的最大温升、最大形变及最大热应力,并探讨了它们随光斑尺寸的变化规律。结果表明:在自由边界条件下,反射镜表面的最大轴向位移与光斑半径之间近似为线性关系;而在固定边界条件下,反射镜的最大热应力与光斑半径之间近似为线性关系;反射镜的夹持状态对最大轴向位移及最大热应力的影响随着光斑尺寸的增加而增强;在相同的入射激光光源及相同的边界条件下,硅镜具有较低的温升值或较高的抗热损伤阈值,而石英镜具有较好的抗热畸变特性。  相似文献

A method is presented to determine the forced responses of piezoelectric cylinders using weighted sums of only certain exact solutions to the equations of motion and the Gauss electrostatic conditions. One infinite set of solutions is chosen such that each field variable is expressed in terms of Bessel functions that form a complete set in the radial direction. Another infinite set of solutions is chosen such that each field variable is expressed in terms of trigonometric functions that form a complete set in the axial direction. Another solution is used to account for the electric field that can exist even when there is no vibration. The weights are determined by using the orthogonal properties of the functions and are used to satisfy specified, arbitrary, axisymmetric boundary conditions on all the surfaces. Special cases including simultaneous mechanical and electrical excitation of cylinders are presented. All numerical results are in excellent agreement with those obtained using the finite element software ATILA. For example, the five lowest frequencies at which the conductance and susceptance of a stress-free cylinder, of length 10 mm and radius 5 mm, reach a local maximum or minimum differ by less than 0.01% from those computed using ATILA.  相似文献

This paper concerns the free vibrations of cylindrical shells with elastic boundary conditions. Based on the Flügge classical thin shell theory, the equations of motion for the cylindrical shells are solved by the method of wave propagations. The wave numbers are obtained by directly solving an eighth order equation. The elastic-support boundary conditions can be arbitrarily specified in terms of 8 independent sets of distributed springs. All the classical homogeneous boundary conditions can be considered as the special cases when the stiffness for each set of springs is equal to either infinity or zero. The present solutions are validated by the results previously given by other researchers and/or obtained using finite element models. The effects on the frequency parameters of elastic restraints are investigated for shells of different geometrical characteristics.  相似文献
