Sound radiation into open space from a vibrating structure has been investigated since Rayleigh. On the other hand the sound power transferring into neighboring reverberant subsystems has also been rigorously studied using statistical energy analysis, particularly for the high frequency range. Falling between the two well-known problems, pressure and intensity fields from the sound radiation have not yet been widely studied using statistical methods. In this paper, the sound radiation from a vibrating thin plate having uncertain dynamic properties is investigated. Estimates are developed for the reverberant vibration field in the uncertain plate subjected to a point-excitation, and for the ensemble average of pressure from the direct field and from the reverberant field, leading to an estimate of the average sound intensity. The power radiated from the plate and the radiation efficiency is also derived. Monte Carlo simulations are conducted with an ensemble of plates with randomly-distributed point masses, and the simulation results compare well with the estimates.  相似文献

求解了下端自由、上端带弹性障板的有限长充液管道,在下端受到流体脉动激励时,上端管口向水下半无限空间的声辐射。求解过程中,管道部分采用行波法求解,其中管壁与管内流体的耦合归结到求解充液管道的色散曲线;弹性障板的振动部分则采用模态法来求解,其中弹性障板及管口与外界流体间的声振耦合最终归结到求解模态的辐射阻抗。数值研究表明:管口辐射的流体声和弹性障板辐射的结构声对系统的声辐射均有较大的贡献。  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the sound radiation from a water-filled exhaust pipe. The pipe opening and a plate attached to it form a vibrating surface for this radiation. Fluid-structural coupling between the pipe and enclosed fluid is included in the system modeling, but light fluid assumption is used for sound radiation into the space above the vibrating surface. In this paper, a numerical study on the n = 0 mode in the pipe shows that the wave types associated with this mode have different characteristics in two regions of the nondimensional frequency omega. The radiation of sound from infinite fluid loaded plates is examined when the plates are reinforced with two sets of orthogonal line stiffeners. The stiffeners are assumed to be equally spaced and exert only forces on the plate. The response to a convected harmonic pressure is found by using Fourier transforms and is given in terms of the harmonic amplitudes of the stiffener forces. These forces satisfy an infinite set of simultaneous equations to which a numerical solution must be found. An expression for the response to a general excitation is derived and from this the acoustic pressure in the far field is determined with particular reference to point force excitation.  相似文献

A coupled system consisting of a thin, infinite panel separating a fluid layer and a fluid half-space is considered. The response of the panel when driven by a point harmonic force is evaluated by using Hankel transform analysis in conjunction with complex variable integration techniques. The emphasis is placed on frequencies well below the panel critical frequency, on dense fluid loading, and on the condition of shallow layer depth. The analysis yields the free propagation wave numbers of the coupled system: below the critical frequency, all but one are complex. From the solutions of the response integrals, the panel flexural velocity, the acoustic pressures, the power transmitted into the structure and into the fluid layer, and the radiated acoustic power, are obtained.  相似文献

A solution is developed for the sound radiation from a point-excited infinite fluid-loaded plate which is reinforced by two sets of parallel stiffeners. The stiffeners are intended to represent the bulkheads and intermediate frames of a hull structure. The solution is found by using Fourier wavenumber transforms, and the stationary phase approximation is used to find an expression for the far field pressure. The effects of the two sets of stiffeners on the radiated pressure depend primarily on the number of frames between successive bulkheads and on the point of application of the force. The presence of frames and bulkheads away from the point of excitation becomes less important as the frequency of the excitation increases.  相似文献

We study shear-horizontal (SH) waves in a crystal plate of rotated Y-cut quartz in contact with a semi-infinite viscous fluid. The crystal plate and the fluid are governed by the equations of anisotropic elasticity and the theory of Newtonian fluids. A transcendental equation that determines the dispersion relations of the waves is obtained. Approximate analytical solutions to the equation are presented for the case of low viscosity fluids and the case of long waves whose wavelength is much larger than the plate thickness. The effects of the fluid viscosity and density on the dispersion relations of the waves are examined. The results obtained are fundamental and useful to the understanding and design of acoustic wave fluid sensors for measuring fluid viscosity or density.  相似文献

Acoustic radiation from a structure can be expressed in terms of “modal radiation” and “modal coefficients”. This paper investigates the contributions of these two modal properties to radiation excited by a point force. Sound radiation from two basic structures is considered: a baffled rectangular plate and a closed spherical shell. The plate behaviour is familiar, and governed by the relation between the natural frequency of a mode and its coincidence frequency. For a closed spherical shell, there are either zero or two “critical frequencies”, depending on the radius and thickness. When there are two the shell radiates well both above and below the two frequencies, and poorly in the frequency range between them.  相似文献

The sound radiation from a double-leaf elastic plate subjected to a point force excitation is investigated theoretically, to gain a fundamental insight into the sound radiation from an interior panel of a double-leaf structure in buildings. The effects of the interior panel on the sound radiation, which show a negative effect at low frequencies due to the mass-air-mass resonance, are discussed in detail. The theory is validated experimentally. As a measure of the efficiency of the interior leaf in reducing noise radiation, the radiation reduction is defined in this study, and it is found useful for predicting the sound radiation due to the structure-borne sound in building elements. Parametric studies through theoretical results are made to clarify the effects of the parameters of the sound radiation system, and to gain a fundamental insight into the control of structure-borne noise radiation. It is shown that it is difficult to reduce the radiated sound power by an interior panel alone, even if its mass is increased.  相似文献

The one-dimensional basic contact process is a Markov process for which particles give birth on vacant nearest neighbor sites at rate >0 and particles die at rate one. We introduce a one-dimensional contact process with a single inhomogeneous site: the evolution is as above except that a particle located at the origin does not die. Let c be the critical value of the basic contact process. We show that for c the upper invariant measures of the inhomogeneous contact process and the basic contact process coincide except at a finite number of sites. The behavior at = c is much more intersting: the upper invariant measure of the inhomogeneous contact process concentrates on configurations with infinitely many particles, while it is known that the critical basic contact process dies out. So a single inhomogeneity may provoke a perturbation unbounded in space. As a byproduct of our analysis we prove that the connectivity probabilities of the critical basic contact process are not summable. We also give a biological interpretation of this model.  相似文献

Propagation of sound waves generated by a time dependent acoustic source in a vertically inhomogeneous ocean is considered. The effect of the solid bottom is included so that both the longitudinal and shear waves can be excited inside the bottom. The possibility of exciting a lateral shear wave by the acoustic source is also discussed. Although the results presented here are formal and general, physical interpretations have been offered whenever possible.  相似文献

理论研究了声波在非均匀波导中的空间聚焦问题,利用多模态导纳法构建波导内任意位置处声压与入射声压在模态域的映射关系,计算使声波聚焦于空间某位置时的最佳入射波,并画出了相应的聚焦声场.研究了三种非均匀情况:水平变截面波导、含散射体波导以及声速垂直变化波导.结果表明,当输入最佳入射波时,在非均匀波导中可以产生良好的单点或多点声聚焦效果,声波的聚焦过程充分地利用了波导结构及介质非均匀性对声波的散射作用.  相似文献

For an accurate approximation of the effect of a thin layer over a finite substrate, we consider the displacements are continuous across the interface, while the stress components are obtained from derivatives of displacements. As a result, the stress boundary conditions are transformed to a relationship between stresses in the vicinity of the interface of two layers and density of the metal layer. Through this approximation, we eventually have four equations to solve for the surface acoustic wave dispersion relation of the two-layer structure. The approximate and accurate results are compared with good agreement for small thickness of the metal layer. These results are intended for periodic structures with separate solutions for electroded and unelectroded regions, which can be connected by the continuity boundary conditions for the analysis of the complete structure of typical surface acoustic wave resonators.  相似文献

The feasibility of sound absorbing by a vibrating plate with piezoelectric material and shunt circuits is theoretically investigated. Based on an equivalent compliance of a piezoelectric wafer shunted with RL circuits, the governing equations for the fiexural vibration of the plate with the piezoelectric wafer are derived using Lagrange's approach. The equations take into account not only the mass, stiffness and structural damping of the plate and the wafer, but also the electrical resistance and electrical inductance of the RL circuits. By using the governing equations derived, the surface impedance and sound absorption coefficient of the plate backed with a cavity are given. Numerical results show that the sound absorption coefficient of the plate near its first mode can be significantly improved by adjusting the RL parameters.  相似文献
