Traffic noise surveying and analysis was performed along three main roads in the Beijing urban area—the 2nd and 3rd ring roads circling the central downtown area and Chang-An Avenue, a major east—west corridor road through the heart of the city. The results indicate that these main roads are overloaded by traffic flow during daytime and noise levels due to road traffic along these roads are above relevant environmental standards by 5 dBA. The spatial variance of traffic noise was also analyzed, with the results indicating that the spatial differences result primarily from the unbalanced development of Beijing's urban districts.  相似文献

通过实验室研究探讨了不同噪声源在不同声压级条件下对儿童短时记忆力和注意力的影响。在每一个实验中都选取了30名710岁的儿童作为被试,在他们完成相应认知任务的同时,用耳机随机播放3565 dBA的交通噪声、白噪声和空调噪声,考察各种噪声条件对被试认知成绩和主观烦恼度的影响。研究结果表明,噪声对儿童的影响主要体现在主观烦恼度的变化上,不同的噪声条件并没有引起作业成绩的显著差异。影响儿童主观烦恼度的主要因素是声压级,随着声压级的增大,儿童的烦恼度会增加,当声压级在4550 dBA时,儿童对噪声开始产生烦恼感,当声压级在6065 dBA时,儿童对噪声产生了较显著的烦恼感。声压级对儿童烦恼度的影响没有随着噪声源的改变而改变。在相同的噪声条件下,短时记忆力实验中儿童的主观烦恼度都高于注意力实验,说明随着认知过程复杂程度的增加,噪声引起的烦恼度会相应增加。   相似文献

The road network in Beijing is expanding in the form of loop-lines. Following the 2nd and 3rd ring roads, the 4th has been completed and come into operation in 2002. Traffic noise surveying and analysis was performed along four main roads in the Beijing urban area—the 2nd, 3rd and 4th ring roads circling the central downtown area and Chang-An Avenue, a major east-west corridor through the heart of the city. Measured noise data along the 2nd, 3rd and Chang-An Avenue were compared with the data surveyed before the completion of the 4th ring road for determining influence of expanding ring roads on traffic noise pattern in Beijing City. The results indicate that these main roads remain overloaded by traffic flow during daytime, and noise levels due to road traffic along these roads exceeds relavent environmental standards by 5 dBA. Reduced traffic noise level was observed along the northern half of the 2nd and 3rd ring roads, and along the central section of Chang-An Avenue. Increased traffic noise level was observed along the southern half of the 2nd and 3rd ring roads, and along the non-central section of Chang-An Avenue. Expanding ring roads mitigate heavy traffic flow in the central part of Beijing City, but spread high traffic noise outwards at the same time.  相似文献

为缓解交通噪声污染,研究限速方案对噪声的影响,考虑道路限速策略下的阻抗函数,建立基于道路限速的随机用户均衡模型并实现路网交通分配,对规划路网在不同限速策略下的噪声控制规律进行研究。案例结果表明:道路限速控制对象应选取噪声影响道路;道路限速策略控制噪声的主要因素在于降低影响道路上出行车辆的出行速度,控制区域噪声值与路网总出行时间呈线性关系,道路限速80%的情况下,控制区域噪声和路网总出行时间分别降低2.94dB和增加0.66%;路网总噪声排放存在两种不同变化趋势,且与道路等级,绕行系数相关。研究可为从道路规划角度实现交通噪声控制提供有效参考。  相似文献

A highway traffic noise prediction model has been developed for environmental assessment in South Korea. The model is based on an outdoor sound propagation method and is fully compliant with ISO 9613 and the sound power level (PWL) estimation for a road segment, as suggested in the ASJ Model-1998 that is based on PWLs. Due to that model’s selection of two pavement types, such as asphalt or concrete pavement, an unacceptable traffic noise prediction is made in cases where the road surface is different from that on which the model is based. In order to address this problem, several road surface types are categorized, and the PWL of each surface type is determined and modeled by measuring the noise levels obtained from newly developed methods. An evaluation of the traffic noise prediction model using field measurements finds good agreement between predicted and measured noise levels.  相似文献

To clarify the relationship between traffic noise and insomnia, the authors conducted a survey and measured the actual sound level of noise in an urban area. Questionnaires were distributed to adult women who lived within 150 m from two major roads and were completed by 648 of the 1286 subjects (50.4%). The area was divided into three zones according to distance from the road (more than 50, 20-50 and 0-19.9 m). Fifty-seven subjects (8.8%) were classified as having insomnia. Average values of sound level at distances of 20, 50, and 100 m from the major road were Leq 64.7, 57.1, and 51.8 dBA, respectively. Overall, there were no significant differences among the three zones in the prevalence of insomnia and no association between distance from the road and insomnia. However, the result from a sub-data set of the subjects who lived in the areas that showed decreasing noise level as the distance from the main road increased showed that distance from the road was associated with insomnia. This study suggests that researchers should consider the actual traffic situation and its sound level in epidemiological studies about the effects of traffic noise on insomnia.  相似文献

The influence of roof shape on sound propagation in a densely build-up city centre is evaluated. Road traffic noise propagation from a street canyon to an adjacent, non-directly exposed building façade is numerically studied by the finite-difference time-domain method. A large number of common and less common roof shapes were analyzed in an idealized city canyon configuration. Roof shape can be responsible for differences in road traffic noise shielding exceeding 10 dBA, averaged over the shielded façade. Therefore, roof shape can be considered as an important means to limit sound pressure levels at a quiet side; various researchers indicated that the presence of silent zones and façades may limit city noise annoyance. With increasing vehicle speed, the choice of roof shape becomes more important. The roof top height was shown to be a bad predictor of shielding efficiency in the equal-building-volume approach followed in this study.  相似文献

This study explores the noise reducing effect of a balcony and describes the development of a simple theory pertaining to the propagation of traffic noise from a road into a balcony. A new methodology is proposed that is based on the well-known prediction scheme—“Calculation of Road Traffic Noise” (CRTN)—developed in the UK. A geometrical ray theory is developed for the prediction of noise levels inside a balcony due to road traffic. The source level of road traffic noise is obtained as per the standard CRTN methodology. However, road sub-segmentations and new approaches for the prediction of noise levels at illuminated and shadow zones inside a balcony are proposed. Field measurements have been conducted on four different types of balcony to validate the proposed methodology. The insertion loss, defined as the difference in the noise levels with and without the presence of a balcony, has been used to assess the shielding effectiveness of a balcony against road traffic noise. The simple theory is validated by outdoor field measurements. It is also found that a properly designed balcony can provide considerable screening effects in protecting dwellings against road traffic noise.  相似文献

Road traffic noise pollution has been recognized as a serious issue which affects human health as well as affects urban regions. Noise maps are very beneficial to identify the impact of noise pollution. A noise mapping study performed to study the propagation of noise in tier-II city along with field measurements. The noise maps are developed using a computer simulation model (SoundPLAN essential 4.0 software). The noise prediction models like U.K’s CoRTN, Germany’s RLS-90, and their modified versions, which can be used for homogenous road traffic conditions, cannot be successfully applied in heterogeneous road traffic conditions of India. In developing country like India, road traffic noise pollution depends on the composition of heterogeneous traffic volume, variance in road geometrical, honking conditions, un-authorized parking, and varying density of the building on either side of the road. These traffic compositions contain vehicles, which have different sizes, speeds variations, a different dimension of vehicles. Because of fluctuating speeds, lack of lane disciplines, and un-authorized parking on main road lanes, honking events becomes inevitable, which changes and affects the urban soundscape of nations like India. Analysis of noise maps showed that horn honking due to un-authorized parked vehicles contributed an additional increase up to 11 dB (A) noise, which is quite significant.  相似文献

Evaluation and analysis of the environmental noise of Messina, Italy   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
In this paper, the results of a study on the environmental noise pollution of the city of Messina (Italy) are presented. The investigation has included a preliminary classification of the territory in six acoustically homogeneous areas according to Italian noise regulations. On the basis of the resultant acoustic zoning 35 sites were selected for an experimental survey. This last has been carried out by extensive measurements of the main indexes for noise pollution (Leq, L1, L10, L50, L90, L99) and of the traffic flow and composition. Results indicate that: (a) main roads of Messina are overloaded by traffic flow during day-time period and that in all the examined sites daily average sound levels due to road traffic exceed environmental standards by about 10 dBA; (b) environmental noise exhibits a certain degree of spatial variance resulting primarily from the peculiar geo-morphological structure of the town and from the transport infrastructure and (c) more than 25% of residents should be highly disturbed by road traffic noise.  相似文献

In view of the well-recognized need for the availability of simple traffic noise–prediction methods for non-straight roads, such as interchanges and flyovers, an approximate traffic noise–prediction model, suitable for non-straight roads, was developed following the modeling process of the Federal Highway Administration’s (FHWA) traffic-noise model. The approximate model is simpler than the FHWA model when the non-straight road is divided into several road sections, their traffic-noise levels calculated individually, and all the sound levels superimposed to obtain the total traffic-noise level of the entire non-straight road. The rational length of the small road section was investigated. The traffic-noise levels predicted using the approximate and the FHWA models were compared through an example and were shown to differ only very marginally. The approximate model is thus suitable for traffic-noise prediction for non-straight roads.  相似文献

We have mitigated acoustic noise in a 1.5 T cylindrical MRI scanner equipped with epoxy-potted, shielded gradients. It has been widely assumed that MRI acoustic noise comes overwhelmingly from vibrations of the gradient assembly. However, with vibration-isolated gradients contained in an airtight enclosure, we found the primary sources of acoustic noise to be eddy-current-induced vibrations of metal structures such as the cryostat inner bore and the rf body coil. We have elucidated the relative strengths of source-pathways of acoustic noise and assembled a reduced-acoustic-noise demonstration MRI system. This scanner employed a number of acoustic noise reduction measures including a vacuum enclosure of a vibrationally isolated gradient assembly, a low-eddy-current rf coil and a non-conducting inner bore cryostat. The demonstration scanner reduced, by about 20 dBA, the acoustic noise levels in the patient bore to 85 dBA and below for several typical noisy pulse sequences. The noise level standing near the patient bore is 71 dBA and below. We have applied Statistical Energy Analysis to develop a vibroacoustic model of the MR system. Our model includes vibrational sources and acoustic pathways to predict acoustic noise and provides a good spectral match above 400 Hz to experimentally measured sound levels. This tool enables us to factor acoustics into the design parameters of new MRI systems.  相似文献

Seven models were compared in terms of the ability to predict the annoyance due to the combination of aircraft and road traffic noises on the basis of data collected around airports in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, Vietnam. The 24-h average sound levels LAeq,24h and unweighted means of annoyance scores for aircraft, road traffic, and combined noise were used to solve the regression equations for the seven models. The results indicate that road traffic noise exposure and annoyance were more than those of aircraft noise at almost all sites in both Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. Among the considered models, the dominant source model yielded the highest coefficients of determination, with R2 values of 0.82 and 0.90 for surveys in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, respectively. These results suggest that the dominant source model is the most useful model in the vicinity of those airports in Vietnam where road traffic noise is more dominant than aircraft noise. This is convenient for situations in which dose-response curves are established separately for different noise sources.  相似文献

Road traffic noise shielding by vegetation belts of limited depth   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Road traffic noise propagation through a vegetation belt of limited depth (15 m) containing periodically arranged trees along a road is numerically assessed by means of 3D finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) calculations. The computational cost is reduced by only modeling a representative strip of the planting scheme and assuming periodic extension by applying mirror planes. With increasing tree stem diameter and decreasing spacing, traffic noise insertion loss is predicted to be more pronounced for each planting scheme considered (simple cubic, rectangular, triangular and face-centered cubic). For rectangular schemes, the spacing parallel to the road axis is predicted to be the determining parameter for the acoustic performance. Significant noise reduction is predicted to occur for a tree spacing of less than 3 m and a tree stem diameter of more than 0.11 m. This positive effect comes on top of the increase in ground effect (near 3 dBA for a light vehicle at 70 km/h) when compared to sound propagation over grassland. The noise reducing effect of the forest floor and the optimized tree belt arrangement are found to be of similar importance in the calculations performed. The effect of shrubs with typical above-ground biomass is estimated to be at maximum 2 dBA in the uniform scattering approach applied for a light vehicle at 70 km/h. Downward scattering from tree crowns is predicted to be smaller than 1 dBA for a light vehicle at 70 km/h, for various distributions of scattering elements representing the tree crown. The effect of the presence of tree stems, shrubs and tree crowns is predicted to be approximately additive. Inducing some (pseudo)randomness in stem center location, tree diameter, and omitting a limited number of rows with trees seem to hardly affect the insertion loss. These predictions suggest that practically achievable vegetation belts can compete to the noise reducing performance of a classical thin noise barrier (on grassland) with a height of 1–1.5 m (in a non-refracting atmosphere).  相似文献

Based on the close proximity (CPX) method specified in ISO/DIS 11819-2, we recorded and analyzed the instantaneous tyre/road sound pressure levels with 9 road sections that are constructed with the same pavement surfacing materials, that is, friction course. A total of 1320 segments were made in urban areas with a pair of SRTT (Standard Road Test Tyre). We tried to relate the tyre/road noise with the instantaneous acceleration, speed, air temperature, road temperature, road gradient, road surface age to develop a multi-variants model. It was subsequently found that a simple tyre/road noise model linking driving speed and acceleration is the best model. The model provides an easy way to estimate the instantaneous tyre/road noise level. As the tyre/road noise is becoming more dominant component of the road traffic noise, our proposed model has the potential to improve the current practice in estimating the road traffic noise.  相似文献

Unacceptable errors in the prediction of traffic noise occur in some cases when the road surface is largely different from that on which the prediction model is based. The reason is that tyre/road noise has appeared to be the dominating component of the noise from free-flowing traffic and that this noise is to a substantial extent dependent on the road surface.The mechanisms for tyre/road noise generation and its relation to road characteristics are described. Relevant road surface characterization methods are suggested. The major method is the measurement of the road texture profile and subsequent spectral analysis of the profile curve. Supplementary methods concern the measurement of acoustical and mechanical impedances. It is concluded that the road surface effect on traffic noise is extremely complicated and that it is very difficult to generalize any simple relations.For free-flowing traffic it is shown that the tested road surface types and conditions may influence the traffic noise by up to 11 dB(A). This calls for a correction term for the road surface in the prediction models. Despite the complicated relations, it appears feasible—within stringent limitations—to use a table where the correction term is a variable of vehicle type, vehicle speed as well as road surface type and condition.  相似文献

Road traffic noise management strategies or noise action plans are a necessary tool for pro-active road traffic noise management. A method is proposed for regional scale noise action plans, in part using noise mapping, which is flexible towards various data qualities. A six step method is proposed which links GIS data to road traffic noise calculation methods with the final strategies being presented in GIS format. A ‘Parcel Priority Index’ and a ‘Link Priority Index’ are presented as key variables in the production of regional strategies and planning visions on a road link basis. The noise management strategy method presented is used on a large regional area in South East Queensland, Australia which covers seven local government areas. The results presented indicate the method is successful in prioritising road links equitably for detailed road traffic noise management actions.  相似文献

This paper describes a computer simulation model capable of predicting the noise levels generated by traffic passing through road intersections controlled by roundabouts where departures from free-flow traffic conditions occur. The model depends for its operation on the acoustical and flow characteristics of single vehicles travelling on a road from which the overall noise generated by traffic streams can be deduced using a sampling/integration technique. Distance effects, ground cover, vehicle type, velocity and headway characteristics, etc. are taken into account in the model and the simplest possible input parameters are used deliberately to facilitate the eventual use of the model by highway and planning authorities. Good agreement has been achieved between measured and predicted L10 values for freely flowing traffic negotiating roundabouts. Further applications of the model involving road intersections controlled by traffic lights and the effect of traffic queues are nearing completion.  相似文献

The adequacy of a model for the sound level close to a road is investigated by comparing resulting predictions for the sound level over a building façade with measurements. The road model involves the road geometry (the number and positions of traffic lanes), the traffic structure (vehicle flow rates and their average speeds in each lane) and equivalent omnidirectional point sources representing the vehicles. It is found that the assumed road traffic noise source model is adequate only for predicting levels over the higher part of the façade. However the investigation has allowed definition of what improvements are needed in the road source modelling to enable adequate predictions over the whole of the building façade.  相似文献
