Let d≡ 5 mod 8 be a positive square-free integer and let h(d) be the class number of the real quadratic field ℚ(√d). Let p be a divisor of d = pq and let . Assume that is prime or equal to 1 for all integers x with 0≤x<W. Under the assumption that the Riemann hypothesis is true, we prove that if , then h(d) < 2. Furthermore we show that h(d)< 2 implies d < 4245. In the case when there exists at least one split prime less than W, we prove the following results without any assumptions on the Riemann hypothesis. If then h< 2 or h = 4. Nicolas, we have recently proved that, for all k≥ 0, the sequence (σ( ,2k n))n≥ 1mod 2k+1 is periodic with an odd period qk. In this paper, we will characterize for any fixed odd positive integer q, the sets and the integers N such that q0 = q, and those for which qk = q for all k≥ 0. occurs in one of Ramanujan’s inversion formulas for elliptic integrals. In this article, a common generalization of the cubic elliptic functions
is given. The function g1 is the derivative of Ramanujan’s function Φ (after rescaling), and χ3(n) = 0, 1 or −1 according as n≡ 0, 1 or 2 (mod 3), respectively, and |q| < 1. Let A be a separable unital nuclear simple C*-algebra with torsion K0 (A), free K1 (A) and with the UCT. Let T : A→M(K)/K be a unital homomorphism. We prove that every unitary element in the commutant of T(A) is an exponent, thus it is liftable. We also prove that each automorphism α on E with α ∈ Aut0(A) is approximately inner, where E is a unital essential extension of A by K and α is the automorphism on A induced by α.  相似文献

The peak algebra is a unital subalgebra of the symmetric group algebra, linearly spanned by sums of permutations with a common set of peaks. By exploiting the combinatorics of sparse subsets of [n−1] (and of certain classes of compositions of n called almost-odd and thin), we construct three new linear bases of . We discuss two peak analogs of the first Eulerian idempotent and construct a basis of semi-idempotent elements for the peak algebra. We use these bases to describe the Jacobson radical of and to characterize the elements of in terms of the canonical action of the symmetric groups on the tensor algebra of a vector space. We define a chain of ideals of , j = 0,..., , such that is the linear span of sums of permutations with a common set of interior peaks and is the peak algebra. The zero-mean process is said to be almost periodically correlated whenever its shifted covariance kernel is almost periodic in t uniformly with respect to . Then it admits a Fourier–Bohr decomposition: . This paper deals with the estimation of the spectral covariance a(λ,τ) from a discrete time observation of the process , when jitter and delay phenomena are present in conjunction with periodic sampling.
