The obtained heats of combustion were 46.65 ± 0.20; 38.09 ± 0.31; 39.67 ± 0.22; 41.88 ± 0.31; 37.86 ± 0.46; 39.89 ± 0.09; 41.28 ± 0.31 MJ/kg for diesel, transesterified soybean oil, pyrolysed soybean oil and crude soybean oil, transesterified palm tree oil (Elaeis sp.), pyrolysed palm tree oil, crude palm tree oil, respectively. The results show the heats of combustion of biofuels are approximately 17% smaller than traditional diesel. The data also show the heats of combustion depend on the methodology used for the biofuel production. Addition of biofuels to traditional diesel fuel results in a linear decrease of the heat of combustion with the amount of the alternative fuel added to the diesel. However, for blends with 5% biofuels, which is the limit demanded by Brazilian legislation, no significant decrease of the heat of combustion of the commercial diesel was observed.  相似文献

Methanol, 2-Me-propanol-2, propanol-2, benzene, toluene and xylenes in gasoline blends were determined using a valveless multi-dimensional switching system (MDSS) with two packed columns and temperature programming. Compounds of interest, interfering with paraffins and naphthenes, were in a sequence of four heart cuts transferred onto the second column. The resulting baseline separation enabled precise quantitative measurement within a short analysis time. Instrument settings, times of switching and integration parameters were stored in an instrument memory file (user table) and thus high precision in the measurements was achieved.  相似文献

The sulfur content of diesel fuel is of environmental concern because sulfur can facilitate the formation of diesel particulate matter (DPM) and sulfur dioxide (SO2) in the exhaust can poison catalytic converters. The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has established more stringent regulations to reduce the sulfur content of diesel fuels in the near future. In this study, various types of organosulfur compounds in DPM extracts and the corresponding fuels have been determined by gas chromatography with atomic emission detection. The diesel fuels used have sulfur contents of 2284 and 433 ppm, respectively, and are labeled as high-sulfur and low-sulfur diesel fuels. The compounds identified are mainly polycyclic aromatic sulfur heterocycles (PASHs). In the fuels tested, trimethylbenzothiophenes (TMBTs), dibenzothiophenes (DBTs), and 4-methyldibenzothiophene (4-MDBT) were the most abundant sulfur compounds, while larger PASH compounds were more abundant in DPM extracts. The high-sulfur diesel fuel contained a larger proportion of PASHs with one or two rings (lighter PASHs). In DPM, the concentrations of total organic sulfur and individual PASHs are higher for the high-sulfur diesel fuel, and the relative percentage of one or two-ring PASHs is higher as well. The influence of engine load on the DPM composition was also examined. With increasing load, the PASH concentration in DPM decreased for lighter PASHs, increased for heavier PASHs, and had a bell-shaped distribution for PASHs in between.  相似文献

A method for sulfur determination in diesel fuel employing near infrared spectroscopy, variable selection and multivariate calibration is described. The performances of principal component regression (PCR) and partial least square (PLS) chemometric methods were compared with those shown by multiple linear regression (MLR), performed after variable selection based on the genetic algorithm (GA) or the successive projection algorithm (SPA). Ninety seven diesel samples were divided into three sets (41 for calibration, 30 for internal validation and 26 for external validation), each of them covering the full range of sulfur concentrations (from 0.07 to 0.33% w/w). Transflectance measurements were performed from 850 to 1800 nm. Although principal component analysis identified the presence of three groups, PLS, PCR and MLR provided models whose predicting capabilities were independent of the diesel type. Calibration with PLS and PCR employing all the 454 wavelengths provided root mean square errors of prediction (RMSEP) of 0.036% and 0.043% for the validation set, respectively. The use of GA and SPA for variable selection provided calibration models based on 19 and 9 wavelengths, with a RMSEP of 0.031% (PLS-GA), 0.022% (MLR-SPA) and 0.034% (MLR-GA). As the ASTM 4294 method allows a reproducibility of 0.05%, it can be concluded that a method based on NIR spectroscopy and multivariate calibration can be employed for the determination of sulfur in diesel fuels. Furthermore, the selection of variables can provide more robust calibration models and SPA provided more parsimonious models than GA.  相似文献

A procedure for the determination of As in diesel, gasoline and naphtha at μg L−1 levels by GFAAS is proposed. Sample stabilization was achieved by the formation of three component solutions prepared by mixing appropriate volumes of the samples propan-1-ol and nitric acid aqueous solution. This mixture resulted in a one-phase medium, which was indefinitely stable. No changes in the analyte signals were observed over several days in spiked samples, proving long-term stabilization ability. The use of conventional (Pd) and permanent (Ir) modification was investigated and the former was preferred. Central composite design multivariate optimization defined the optimum microemulsion composition as well as the temperature program. In this way, calibration using aqueous analytical solutions was possible, since the same sensitivity was observed in the investigated microemulsion media and in 0.2% v/v HNO3. Coefficients of correlation larger than 0.999 and an As characteristic mass of 22 pg were observed. Recoveries (n=4) obtained from spiked samples were 98±4, 99±3 and 103±5%, and the limits of detection in the original samples were 1.8, 1.2 and 1.5 μg L−1 for diesel, gasoline and naphtha, respectively. Validation was performed by the analysis of a set of commercial samples by independent comparative procedures. No significant difference (Student’s t-test, p<0.05) was observed between comparative and proposed procedure results. The total determination cycle lasted 4 min for diesel and 3 min for gasoline and naphtha, equivalent to a sample throughput of 7 h−1 for diesel and 10 h−1 for gasoline and naphtha.  相似文献

The determination of Mn in diesel, gasoline and naphtha samples at µg L− 1 level by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry, after sample stabilization in a three-component medium (microemulsion) was investigated. Microemulsions were prepared by mixing appropriate volumes of sample, propan-1-ol and nitric acid aqueous solution, and a stable system was immediately and spontaneously formed. After multivariate optimization by central composite design the optimum microemulsion composition as well as the temperature program was defined. In this way, calibration using aqueous analytical solution was possible, since the same sensitivity was observed in the optimized microemulsion media and 0.2% v/v HNO3. The use of modifier was not necessary. Recoveries at the 3 µg L− 1 level using both inorganic and organic Mn standards spiked solutions ranged from 98 to 107% and the limits of detection were 0.6, 0.5 and 0.3 µg L− 1 in the original diesel, gasoline and naphtha samples, respectively. The Mn characteristic mass 3.4 pg. Typical relative standard deviation (n = 5) of 8, 6 and 7% were found for the samples prepared as microemulsions at concentration levels of 1.3, 0.8, and 1.5 µg L− 1, respectively. The total determination cycle lasted 4 min for diesel and 3 min for gasoline and naphtha, equivalent to a sample throughput of 7 h− 1 for duplicate determinations in diesel and 10 h− 1 for duplicate determinations in gasoline and naphtha. Accuracy was also assessed by using other method of analysis (ASTM D 3831-90). No statistically significant differences were found between the results obtained with the proposed method and the reference method in the analysis of real samples.  相似文献

煤通过Fischer-Tropsch (F-T)合成可得到十六烷值高、硫和芳香烃质量分数极低的F-T柴油。研究分析了未作改动的单缸直喷式柴油机燃用F-T柴油时的燃烧和排放特性。结果表明,与燃用0号柴油相比,燃用F-T柴油时的滞燃期平均缩短18.7%,预混燃烧放热峰值降低26.8%,扩散燃烧放热峰值较高,燃烧持续期相当。燃用F-T柴油时的最高燃烧压力略低,最大压力升高率显著下降,机械损失和燃烧噪音较小,燃油消耗率和热效率都得到显著改善。燃用F-T柴油可同时降低CO、HC、NOx和炭烟排放,其中NOx和炭烟分别平均降低16.7%和40.3%。研究表明,F-T柴油是柴油机良好的清洁代用燃料。  相似文献

The presence of trace neutral organonitrogen compounds as carbazole and indole in derivative petroleum fuels plays an important role in the car's engine maintenance. In addition, these substances contribute to the environmental contamination and their control is necessary because most of them are potentially carcinogenic and mutagenic. For those reasons, a reliable and sensitive method was proposed for the determination of neutral nitrogen compounds in fuel samples, such as gasoline and diesel using preconcentration with modified silica gel (Merck 70-230 mesh ASTM) followed by differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) technique on a glassy carbon electrode. The electrochemical behavior of carbazole and indole studied by cyclic voltammetry (CV) suggests that their reduction occurs via a reversible electron transfer followed by an irreversible chemical reaction. Very well resolved diffusion controlled voltammetric peaks were obtained in dimethylformamide (DMF) with tetrabutylammonium tetrafluoroborate (TBAF4 0.1 mol L−1) for indole (−2.27 V) and carbazole (−2.67 V) versus Ag|AgCl|KClsat reference electrode. The proposed DPV method showed a good linear response range from 0.10 to 300 mg L−1 and a limit of detection (L.O.D) of 7.48 and 2.66 μg L−1 for indole and carbazole, respectively. The results showed that simultaneous determination of indole and carbazole presents in spiked gasoline samples were 15.8 ± 0.3 and 64.6 ± 0.9 mg L−1 and in spiked diesel samples were 9.29 ± 1 and 142 ± 1 mg L−1, respectively. The recovery was evaluated and the results shown the values of 88.9 ± 0.4 and 90.2 ± 0.8% for carbazole and indole in fuel determinations. The proposed method was also compared with UV-vis spectrophotometric measures and the results obtained for the two methods were in good agreement according to the F and t Student's tests.  相似文献

The thermal degradation and combustion behaviour of an interpenetrating network (IPN) structure of unsaturated polyester UP resin and a resole type of phenolic resin was studied. Thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA) was used to monitor the degree of thermal decomposition for the UP/phenol IPN structure and the change of the oxygen index (OI) was used to describe the variation of the combustion behaviour. The smoke density was measured via a non-flaming process to detect the amount of smoke generated during the combustion. A homemade cone calorimetric dynamic flammability evaluation system was assembled to analyse the gas evolved and to measure the heat release rate (HRR) during the combustion. Under simulated conditions of a burning field at the temperature of 757°C, the variation of the concentration of carbon monoxide (CO) and the HRR of the UP/phenol IPN structure were studied. The results show that modification of the essentially flammable UP resin by the phenol structure to form an IPN system cannot only remarkably improve the heat resistance but also help to suppress the smoke, toxic gas and heat release during the combustion.  相似文献
