Chatter stability in milling can be predicted by analytical methods or numerical methods. The system should be considered as multi-modal in milling of thin-walled workpiece. This paper proposes a numerical difference method based on Adams-Bashforth scheme. Moreover, multi-modal scheme of numerical methods is proposed. Analytical methods and numerical methods are verified by performing a series of milling trials. The experimental results are consistent with the predicted critical stability boundaries. Moreover, a new method for analyzing the computational time of analytical methods and numerical methods, which is based on the time complexity modeling, is presented. Computational time can be expressed as exact mathematical expression. By using the expression, the rate of increase of computational time can be derived.  相似文献

将不等距离分割方法与人工鱼群算法相结合,提出一种基于人工鱼群算法求任意函数数值积分的方法,该方法除能计算通常意义下任意函数的定积分外,还能计算奇异函数积分、振荡函数积分以及原函数不易求得的被积函数的积分.最后给出几个数值积分算例,并与传统数值积分方法作了比较,仿真结果分析表明,该算法十分有效,能够快速有效地获得任意函数的数值积分值.  相似文献

A variable-elliptic-vortex method, which is a generalization of the elliptic-vortex method proposed by the author in [1], is presented for the numerical simulation of incompressible flows. The most attractive feature of the new method is that the numerical vortex blobs used in this model like actual vortex blobs can be translated, rotated and deformed in elliptic shape. The new method provides a more reasonable and more accurate approach for flow simulation than the fixed-vortex methods. Numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the performance of the new method.  相似文献

The motivation underlying this contribution has been to complete some of the topics concerning exact schemes for numerically solving ordinary differential equations. A procedure for obtaining differential systems exactly solved by a given finite-difference method is described. Examples illustrating the application of the procedure for obtaining first-order, second-order and systems of differential equations exactly solved by different numerical methods are given. Among the numerical methods considered there are the Trapezoidal Rule, the two-step Adams-Bashforth method and the Numerov method. Some numerical examples are presented to provide evidence that the procedure works properly.  相似文献

This paper deals with numerical methods for the Maxnear criterion of multiple-sets canonical analysis. Optimality conditions are derived. Upper and lower bounds of the optimal objective function value are presented. Two iterative methods are proposed. One is an alternating variable method, and the other called Gauss-Seidel method is an inexact version of the alternating variable method. Convergence of these methods are analyzed. A starting point strategy is suggested for both methods. Numerical results are presented to demonstrate the efficiency of these methods and the starting point strategy.  相似文献

Methodology for development of compact numerical schemes by the practical finite‐analytic method (PFAM) is presented for spatial and/or temporal solution of differential equations. The advantage and accuracy of this approach over the conventional numerical methods are demonstrated. In contrast to the tedious discretization schemes resulting from the original finite‐analytic solution methods, such as based on the separation of variables and Laplace transformation, the practical finite‐analytical method is proven to yield simple and convenient discretization schemes. This is accomplished by a special universal determinant construction procedure using the general multi‐variate power series solutions obtained directly from differential equations. This method allows for direct incorporation of the boundary conditions into the numerical discretization scheme in a consistent manner without requiring the use of artificial fixing methods and fictitious points, and yields effective numerical schemes which are operationally similar to the finite‐difference schemes. Consequently, the methods developed for numerical solution of the algebraic equations resulting from the finite‐difference schemes can be readily facilitated. Several applications are presented demonstrating the effect of the computational molecule, grid spacing, and boundary condition treatment on the numerical accuracy. The quality of the numerical solutions generated by the PFAM is shown to approach to the exact analytical solution at optimum grid spacing. A method for stable numerical differentiation of noisy data is proposed. The method requires solving a Volterra integral equation of the second kind. This equation is solved analytically. In the examples considered its solution is computed analytically. Some numerical results of its application are presented. These examples show that the proposed method for stable numerical differentiation is numerically more efficient than some other methods, in particular, than variational regularization.  相似文献

The zonal analysis of industrial furnaces is considered with three-dimensional radiative heat transfer, incorporated with the mathematical zone method. In this method exchange areas are determined by simplified numerical integration in three dimensions for surface-surface, surface-gas and gas–gas zones for absorbing and emitting media. By focusing on new strategies to overcome the drawbacks of evaluating direct exchange areas, it is shown that the zone method is an effective numerical method for modeling three-dimensional thermal performance of gas-filled enclosures. Also the developed method for evaluating of exchange area is presented and compared with other methods in both sides of CPU time and accuracy. The method can decrease about 70% in error of calculation of some exchange areas as compared with the other numerical methods.  相似文献

Implicit–explicit Runge–Kutta methods are investigated for application to financial derivatives pricing models in the partial differential equations approach. The methods are showed to be an alternative to other existing procedures for the numerical valuation of American type contracts. We follow the method of lines in order to have a numerical method that can be used with a variety of state variable discretizations including finite elements, finite differences and finite volume methods. Some numerical schemes for a gradient optimization algorithm to solve the inverse problem are presented. Two-level defect-correction Oseen iterative stabilized finite element methods for the stationary Navier–Stokes equations based on local Gauss integration are considered in this paper. The methods combine the defect-correction method and the two-level strategy with the locally stabilized method. Moreover, the stability and convergence of the presented methods are deduced. In the present paper a numerical method, based on finite differences and spline collocation, is presented for the numerical solution of a generalized Fisher integro-differential equation. A composite weighted trapezoidal rule is manipulated to handle the numerical integrations which results in a closed-form difference scheme. A number of test examples are solved to assess the accuracy of the method. The numerical solutions obtained, indicate that the approach is reliable and yields results compatible with the exact solutions and consistent with other existing numerical methods. Convergence and stability of the scheme have also been discussed.  相似文献
