In this comment we analyze the paper [Abdelhalim Ebaid, S.M. Khaled, New types of exact solutions for nonlinear Schrodinger equation with cubic nonlinearity, J. Comput. Appl. Math. 235 (2011) 1984-1992]. Using the traveling wave, Ebaid and Khaled have found “new types of exact solutions for nonlinear Schrodinger equation with cubic nonlinearity”. We demonstrate that the authors studied the well-known nonlinear ordinary differential equation with the well-known general solution. We illustrate that Ebaid and Khaled have looked for some exact solution for the reduction of the nonlinear Schrodinger equation taking the general solution of the same equation into account.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with a nonlinear iterative functional differential equation x′(z) = 1/x(p(z) + bx′(z)). By constructing a convergent power series solution of an auxiliary equation, analytic solutions of the original equation are obtained. We discuss not only in the general case, but also in critical cases, especially for α given in Schröder transformation is a root of the unity. And in case (H4), we dealt with the equation under the Brjuno condition, which is weaker than the Diophantine condition. Moreover, the exact and explicit solution of the original equation has been investigated for the first time. Such equations are important in both applications and the theory of iterations.  相似文献

Exact solutions of the Kawahara equation by Assas [L.M.B. Assas, New Exact solutions for the Kawahara equation using Exp-function method, J. Comput. Appl. Math. 233 (2009) 97-102] are analyzed. It is shown that all solutions do not satisfy the Kawahara equation and consequently all nontrivial solutions by Assas are wrong.  相似文献

The application of the Kudryashov method for finding exact solutions of the high order nonlinear evolution equations is considered. Some classes of solitary wave solutions for the families of nonlinear evolution equations of fifth, sixth and seventh order are obtained. The efficiency of the Kudryashov method for finding exact solutions of the high order nonlinear evolution equations is demonstrated.  相似文献

An Ambrosetti-Prodi type exact multiplicity result is proved for a diffusive logistic equation with harvesting. We show that a modified diffusive logistic mapping has exactly either zero, or one, or two pre-images depending on the harvesting rate. It implies that the original diffusive logistic equation with harvesting has at most two positive steady state solutions.  相似文献

Polynomial and rational wave solutions of Kudryashov-Sinelshchikov equation and numerical simulations for its dynamic motions are investigated. Conservation flows of the dynamic motion are obtained utilizing multiplier approach. Using the unified method, a collection of exact solitary and soliton solutions of Kudryashov-Sinelshchikov equation is presented. Collocation finite element method based on quintic B-spline functions is implemented to the equation to evidence the accuracy of the proposed method by test problems. Stability analysis of the numerical scheme is studied by employing von Neumann theory. The obtained analytical and numerical results are in good agreement.  相似文献

Based on the simplest equation method, we propose exact and traveling-wave solutions for a nonlinear convection-diffusion-reaction equation with power law nonlinearity. Such equation can be considered as a generalization of the Fisher equation and other well-known convection-diffusion-reaction equations. Two important cases are considered. The case of density-independent diffusion and the case of density-dependent diffusion. When the parameters of the equation are constant, the Bernoulli equation is used as the simplest equation. This leads to new traveling-wave solutions. Moreover, some wavefront solutions can be derived from the traveling-wave ones. The case of time-dependent velocity in the convection term is studied also. We derive exact solutions of the equations by using the Riccati equation as simplest equation. The exact and traveling-wave solutions presented in this paper can be used to explain many biological and physical phenomena.  相似文献

We search for exact travelling wave solutions of the generalized Bretherton equation for integer, greater than one, values of the exponent m of the nonlinear term by two methods: the truncated Painlevé expansion method and an algebraic method. We find periodic solutions for m=2 and m=5, to add to those already known for m=3; in all three cases these solutions exist for finite intervals of the wave velocity. We also find a “kink” shaped solitary wave for m=5 and a family of elementary unbounded solutions for arbitrary m.  相似文献

In the present study, we converted the resulting nonlinear equation for the evolution of weakly nonlinear hydrodynamic disturbances on a static cosmological background with self-focusing in a two-dimensional nonlinear Schrödinger (NLS) equation. Applying the function transformation method, the NLS equation was transformed to an ordinary differential equation, which depended only on one function ξ and can be solved. The general solution of the latter equation in ζ leads to a general solution of NLS equation. A new set of exact solutions for the two-dimensional NLS equation is obtained.  相似文献

In this paper, solutions of a class of second-order differential equations with some multi-point boundary conditions are studied. We give exact expressions of the solutions for the linear m-point boundary problems by the Green’s functions. 把最近提出的G′/G展开法推广到了非线性微分差分方程,利用该方法成功构造了一种修正的Volterra链和Toda链的双曲函数、三角函数以及有理函数三类涉及任意参数的行波解,当这些参数取特殊值时,可得这两个方程的扭状孤立波解、奇异行波解以及三角函数状的周期波解等.研究结果表明,该算法探讨非线性微分差分方程精确解十分有效、简洁.  相似文献

By means of the generalized direct method, a relationship is constructed between the new solutions and the old ones of the Bogoyavlensky-Konoplechenko equation. Based on the relationship, a new solution is obtained by using a given solution of the equation. The symmetry is also obtained for the BK equation. Then we get the reductions using the symmetry and give some exact solutions of the BK equation.  相似文献
